  1. https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-17-2026 July 17, 2026 Principles to Guide Our Praying Matthew 6:9-10: “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” These two verses, of course, are from what we typically call The Lord's Prayer. It is helpful to remember that when Jesus gave this “teaching”–for it was certainly a model prayer meant to teach us–He was responding to the disciples’ request: “teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1). Christ certainly wasn’t giving us a sweet religious prayer to recite in church services or before going to bed. He was giving us principles to guide our praying, and the above portion was related to how His family and ekklesia would represent His Kingdom on earth. Don’t just recite the prayer; use it as a launching pad. The Greek word for “kingdom” is basileia.(1) It refers to the dominion, reign, or rule of a king. Jesus was telling us to pray: "Father, let the rule of Heaven manifest in this earthly realm." God has chosen to partner with His family, bringing us into His plans and activities on earth; this was His desire from the very beginning. When we pray "Thy kingdom come," we are acting as His legal representatives on the earth—His Ekklesia (a ruling, legislative assembly) — releasing His rule into our circumstances. We’re declaring, “God, bring Your kingship into my neighborhood, my family, my city, my workplace, and my life!” Then Jesus says, "Thy will be done." The Greek word for “will” is thelema,(2) which means determination, choice, desire, wish, and even pleasure. Think about the fact that God’s “desires” do not automatically take place on the earth just because He wants them to. If they did, Jesus wouldn't have commanded us to ask for them! They are realized when we partner with Him in intercession to birth His thelema, pulling His desires out of the spiritual realm and anchoring them into our families, our cities, and our nations. God never asked us in Scripture to pray for what was predetermined to happen automatically. He never told us to pray that the sun would rise in the morning and set in the evening, for water to be wet, or for gravity to do its work. But He did ask us to pray for His Kingdom authority to be released and His will to be done in our lives and communities. He asked us to pray for laborers to be sent into His harvest fields (Matthew 9:38). He asked us to pray for others' health and safety, and against the works of satan’s kingdom (Ephesians 6). And He urged us to pray for government–those in positions of authority (1 Timothy 2:1-3). How amazing it is that God has so determined to work with and through His earthly family. We are indeed His co-laborers, bringing heaven’s will, heaven's atmosphere, heaven’s order, heaven’s righteousness, and heaven's peace to earth. And finally, the Greek word from which “be done” is translated is important: ginomai.(3) This New Testament word essentially means “cause to be or become.” It is used to describe God’s creation of all things (John 1:1-5; Hebrews 11:3). It is also used in reference to a person being “born” (John 8:58). Most English words beginning with “gen” come from this word and carry the concept of producing, reproducing, or becoming: genes, gender, generate, generation, etc. The New Testament word for “born again” (gennao)[4] actually comes from this word. And the tense of this verb Jesus used, ginoma (aorist imperative), indicates a command. Simply stated, Christ said we are to command or declare His will to be, to be generated, to be birthed in situations. Obviously, we aren’t commanding Him, but commanding FOR Him. I am going to such lengths in defining these Greek words and tenses to make sure we grasp the depth of Christ’s instruction to us. This model prayer and teaching Christ gave us is not to be a religious, perfunctory, memorized recital. It is an instructive exhortation to declare Christ’s rule and authority. It is instructing and authorizing us to call forth His will, opening a portal for heaven's government to override the chaos of earth! Obviously, the broader the scope of our prayers, the longer it can take to “generate” God’s will in situations. We have total authority (under God) in our personal lives and can accomplish things more quickly. When praying concerning nations, as we typically do in the GH15 posts, it usually takes much longer. God will not force His way into people's hearts, but He does work to change their thinking and desires. He will not simply overlook the sins of a nation, but as His people humble themselves and pray, seek His face, and turn from evil, He cleanses, heals, and redeems. This takes time. We are working this process, and the process is working. As we persevere in our efforts, continuously releasing the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayers and decrees, God’s Kingdom rule is manifesting. His power and light are flowing, and will increase exponentially as revival increases, multiplying the fruit. Stay the course. Pray with me: Father, You alerted us that it would require faith and patience to inherit our promises (Hebrews 6:12). You also told us we would need endurance and perseverance to receive these promises (Hebrews 10:35-36). Our faith gives substance to what we cannot yet see (Hebrews 11:1), and as we persevere, Your provision manifests. We ARE people of faith, and we have the fruit of patience; we will NOT grow weary in our hearts and give up. We WILL possess this land for You. We call forth Your Kingdom rule throughout America. As a mighty army, we command Your will and pleasure to manifest in our government, our churches, and our society as a whole. We release the power of the Holy Spirit into our cities and towns, our streets and homes. We ask for His light to convict of sin, and His delivering power to lift the veil of darkness. And we persevere in our intercession for a Third Great Awakening. We also pray for our government. Hover over the White House, enveloping President Trump and his staff in Your presence and power. We pray the same for Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Rubio, Secretary of War Hegseth, and all of the cabinet members. On this Thursday, as I write and record this, I can sense an urgency in the Spirit; something significant is about to take place. We ask for Holy Spirit’s superintending will to oversee all that occurs. And we ask all of this in Jesus’ powerful name. Amen.   2. https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-15-2026 July 15, 2026 All Because You Prayed “And [pray] for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:19-20 “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.” 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 “Brethren, pray for us.” 1 Thessalonians 5:25 Paul, an apostle, often requested prayer for his ministry, asking for effectiveness, courage, the advance of the gospel, and more. He knew the prayers of the churches would provide him with boldness, courage, clarity, and deliverance from spiritual adversity. His desire was that God would open doors for his message and make his ministry fruitful. Paul understood that preaching, teaching, writing, and church-building were not merely the result of his personal skill or strategy; they depended on divine anointing and provision. So he asked others to pray for him to this end. He also knew prayer would enable people to hear clearly, understand the truth he was proclaiming, and respond appropriately. He wasn’t so much interested in ease and personal convenience through the prayers as in serving his mission and calling. Paul wanted God to protect him and remove barriers so he could continue his work and fulfill the ministry entrusted to him. This apostle also asked for prayer regarding opposition. He was aware that satan and his demonic forces would foster hostility, misunderstandings, opposition from religious leaders or civic authorities, and resistance from those who disagreed. He recognized that the battle for success in his ministry was not fought only on a human level (arguments, politics, other religions), but on the level where spiritual forces opposed the gospel. So, to Paul, prayer involved resistance to spiritual forces and opposition–spiritual warfare. And finally, Paul’s requests reflected humility and partnership. Although he was an incredibly strong apostle, Paul knew he needed support, and he also understood God’s intentions regarding the body of Christ partnering together. Therefore, he invited the church to share in his labors and participate in God’s mission by praying for him. It has always amazed me that Almighty God limited Himself in many ways to His family, partnering with Him in prayer. The great E. M. Bounds said of prayer: “The more praying there is in the world, the better the world will be, the mightier the forces against evil everywhere…God shapes the world by prayer…The prayers of God’s saints are the capital stock in heaven by which Christ carries on His great work upon earth…Earth is changed, revolutionized; angels move on with more powerful, more rapid wing, and God’s policy is shaped as the prayers are more numerous, more efficient…When God’s house on earth is a house of prayer, then God’s house in heaven is busy and all-potent in its plans and movements; then His earthly armies are clothed with the triumphs and spoils of victory and His enemies defeated on every hand…God conditions the very life and prosperity of His cause on prayer.”(1) Feast on those words for a while! I remind you today that your pastor will be a better leader and communicator because you pray for them. Missionaries will be more effective in their efforts to evangelize and plant churches–and be more protected as they do so–because of your prayers. And not only will leaders be blessed, but family members will be saved, the gospel will advance, soldiers will be protected, businesses will prosper, bodies will be healed…all because you prayed. And let’s remember that God placed great emphasis on praying for those in government: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty” (I Timothy 2:1-2). The word “exhort” in verse one could be translated “urge” or even “beg”!(2) How strong is that! I wish I could convince every pastor in America that God “begged” His people to faithfully pray for government. What would happen if every church in America took 5, 10, 15 minutes every time they gathered to pray for nations and their governmental leaders? I dare say that very quickly wars would end, revivals would break out, lives would be saved, suffering would end, and God's purposes would be accomplished. But–and please forgive my sarcasm–I suppose there just isn’t enough time. In many respects, God's people remain sheep all of their lives, rather than growing up into lions (Proverbs 28:1), eagles (Isaiah 40:31), oaks of righteousness (Isaiah 61:3), and ambassadors for King Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:20). Church services are all about the “sheep”: their needs, their comfort, teaching them to be healthy and prosperous, etc. They should also be training centers for the Ekklesia, God's governmental, nation-discipling representatives of His Kingdom on earth. And they should be houses of prayer! Pray with me: Father, we pray for Your church today. In some ways, we have been deceived by our adversary into majoring on the minors, while neglecting that which matters most. When we gather, we often focus more on our needs than Yours. The average church spends more time on its “meet and greet” than it does praying for the great worldwide harvest Jesus died for. Happy, healthy sheep are typically the primary goal, not partnering with You as sons and daughters. This has changed somewhat over the last few decades through the worship and prayer movements You generated. Thank You for this, and for connecting the prayer warriors that are engaged on a daily basis, not only through this ministry, but also through many others around the world. These warriors are accomplishing so much. However, the army must grow. We ask that You multiply it, and mature the church into the Ekklesia Jesus spoke of, one the gates of hell cannot prevail against (Matthew 16). Develop millions more into the mature sons and daughters who are led by Your Spirit, and that creation is groaning and waiting for (Romans 8). Today, we do as You instructed us and pray for nations and leaders. We ask You to continue dismantling the evil regime in Iran, free the people there, and send one of earth’s greatest revivals. Give President Trump and his team incredible wisdom and insight as they navigate this situation. Mantle some of his team with the gifting Issachar possessed in 1 Chronicles 12:32: the ability to discern the times and know what to do. Give him Josephs and Daniels, and remind him to listen to them. Make them a strong team. Cause revival to spread throughout the Middle East, bringing millions of Jews and Muslims to Jesus. Deliver them from the powers of darkness, open the eyes of their understanding, and save them. Do this also in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, North America, Australia, and the islands of the sea. Cause the wind of Your Spirit to blow throughout the entire earth. Breathe on the dry bones! You said in Matthew 9:38 to ask the Lord of the harvest for laborers. Therefore, we ask for thousands of prophetic evangelists to be raised up in this hour to flood the nations of the Earth. Fill them with Your Spirit and anoint them to release great power, signs, wonders, and miracles. Fill their words with such power and clarity that the veil of deception is ripped off the minds of those who hear them. And lastly, we ask you to continue Your restoration of America. Let the exposing of sin, darkness, deception, and foolishness in our government continue. Destroy the agendas of evil that oppose You and send revival and reformation. Revive the church with holy, Pentecostal fire. We declare on the authority of Your Word that this is coming and will not be stopped. All of this we pray in Jesus' name.   3. https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-16-2026 July 16, 2026 The Path to America’s Recovery The concept of debate was an important part of the founding and shaping of America, and was intended to play a significant role in the function of our government. Though debate can be challenging and does not always achieve the desired goal, hearing others' opinions and insights, then sharing our own, enables us to arrive at the highest level of wisdom. This is healthy and wise. No single person has all the needed wisdom for complex and uncharted situations. Church leaders in the book of Acts, like America’s Founders, modeled this spiritually in Acts 11 and 15, asking for Holy Spirit’s help and guidance as they did so. “It seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us…” was the outcome in Acts 15:28. Wholesome and productive debate, however, works only when both sides share the same core convictions, ideals, and goals. When this is not the case, the process becomes contentious, divisive, and non-productive. America has now reached a point where the process fails most of the time. It has almost become a cliché to say that “This is not your father’s Democratic Party.” And the leftward movement has not stopped. There is now even a significant foothold of socialism and Marxism in the party; to them, capitalism is abhorred. Some would actually say they are taking over the party. Also, many on the Left no longer want God’s guidance or biblical influence in our country. It is abundantly clear that many in the party hate the America we have been for 250 years and want us to be a fundamentally different nation. The process of debate for the Left of our day is not about finding wisdom or reaching a consensus, but about reaching a compromise that moves our society another step leftward. They are now growing bolder and more determined, willing to do whatever it takes to reach their goals: add states to the nation, seats on the Supreme Court, illegals to the election process–anything to gain greater control and accomplish their goals. One might be tempted to ask, “Why don’t they just go someplace else if they don’t like America?” Or for some who have arrived in our nation in just the past few years, such as Mandami or Omar, “Why did you come here if you don’t like it?” Obviously, moving to another country is impractical for most of them, but there is another reason, especially for the leaders of the efforts to transform us. Their motivation goes beyond merely disliking America as it is. The U.S. stands in the way of the world order they prefer, and therefore, must be destroyed–or at least weakened and fundamentally changed–in order for them to attain their goals. The lower-level “echo-ers” of the philosophies–those holding their signs, blocking traffic, chanting mantras, singing silly songs–are simply ignorant and naive pawns in the game. Other pawns of the kings and queens are simply the lazy and entitled people who want to “level the playing field,” which, when translated, means they want everything given to them. (One of the goals of the Democratic Socialist Party is actually a 32-hour workweek! Some of us surpass that by Wednesday!!! Many in America today are unaware that the American Dream requires hard work.) Regardless of how we got here, or the various motives of those who now despise America, satan has conducted a successful campaign to weaken, divide, and conquer America. So much so that our nation can no longer be restored and healed only by well-meaning and competent government officials in Washington, D.C. Nor can it be done by our educational system. Wise, competent, and honorable leaders are absolutely necessary, and many of them are doing admirable work. But God alone can heal a society that has become as sinful, weak, ignorant, ill-informed, and divided as America. Our condition can only be healed from the inside out. When I contend, as I have for 30 years, that America’s only hope for survival is a Third Great Awakening, I am in good company. Ronald Reagan said, during an interview with journalist John Bass while he was preparing his run for the presidency against Jimmy Carter, “The time has come to turn to God and reassert our trust in Him for the healing of America–our country is in need of and ready for a spiritual renewal."(1) When asserting that this great awakening is our only hope, I am not naïvely stating that Bible studies and church services will fix all of America’s problems. I am reminding us that America’s connection with God is her lifeline. I’m saying that a return to Him will bring a return to truth, morality, common sense, love, wisdom, and stability. Jesus said that building structures on the foundation of His words was the equivalent of building on a rock; not doing so was like building on sand - the structure will not survive (Matthew 7:24-27). The Psalmist told us, “Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it” (Psalm 127:1). Benjamin Franklin quoted this verse as a warning when calling for prayer during the Continental Congress in 1787.(2) We would do well to remember it today. As the praying church, the Ekklesia, continues to do her part to pray in this great awakening, God will do what only He can do. And as this heaven-sent great awakening unfolds, millions of people will receive transformed hearts and minds, and will want God's will and ways to be restored in America. Righteous government leaders will then be able to lead in ways that reconstitute strength and healing. This is the path to America’s recovery; it will lead us home. There is no other. Pray with me: Father, we humans have been thinking we know more than You since Adam ate the forbidden fruit. And we Americans are prone to forgetting that it has only been with Your help and support that this nation has been so blessed. As Abraham Lincoln, one of our greatest presidents, stated many years ago: “…we have forgotten [You]. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own."(2) These words are as true today as they were then, perhaps more so. We repent of this pride and arrogance, and humbly come before You today, acknowledging our desperate need of You. Please pour out Your Spirit on this nation once again. Rain down righteousness and cleansing fire. Save millions, fill them with Your breath, write Your words and laws in their hearts, and restore truth in our land. Cleanse our government, revive our churches, and heal our land. All this we pray in Yeshua’s name. Amen. Our decree: We are firmly anchored and sustained by the knowledge that grace and mercy triumph over judgment, and God’s life is stronger than death. It is adapted from Larry and Mercedes Sparks’ new book, The Fire that Forged America. Larry and Mercedes tell us: History has a way of humbling our cynicism. Every generation that has declared a city or a nation too far gone for God to rescue it has eventually been proven wrong by the transformational move of the Holy Spirit. America is no exception. From the colonial era to the present, the places most often written off as spiritual graveyards have become the very epicenters of revival. Let me take you on a brief journey through American history—not as a nostalgia trip, but as a prophetic provocation. These are blueprints, not footnotes. They tell the truth about God and expose the lie about those so-called “hard places.” When Hard Ground Became Holy Ground The First Great Awakening (1730s–1740s). By this point in America’s history, strict religious devotion had given way to the compromise of the half-way covenant, producing generations who attended church as a cultural obligation rather than a heart encounter with God. Religious form remained, but spiritual fire had waned. Into that dryness, God thundered. Through the preaching of Jonathan Edwards and George Whitefield, the Holy Spirit pierced complacent hearts, producing weeping, repentance, and radical conversions. God can rewrite the story of a people, even in an age of compromise. The Second Great Awakening (early 1800s). Following the Revolutionary War, moral decline, drunkenness, and lawlessness swept the new nation. Many predicted Christianity’s influence would fade entirely. Instead, God raised up revivalists like Charles Finney and Barton Stone. Camp meetings like Cane Ridge drew tens of thousands. What began as rural stirrings spread into cities, producing mass conversions, societal reforms, and the seeds of abolition. A nation once thought adrift was redirected by the Spirit. The Noonday Prayer Revival (1857–1858). On the edge of Civil War, Jeremiah Lanphier’s noonday prayer meeting in Manhattan seemed almost insignificant. But within months, prayer meetings multiplied across America, and thousands were being converted weekly. What started as a small group praying in New York became a nationwide prayer movement. Even commercial and cultural capitals can become houses of intercession. Azusa Street, Los Angeles (1906). In a segregated, suspicious, and spiritually parched environment, under the humble leadership of William J. Seymour, the Holy Spirit birthed a multi-ethnic, missions-sending revival whose fire has circled the globe, ultimately producing over half a billion on-fire believers celebrating the baptizing work of the Holy Spirit. If Los Angeles could become an altar, which city today would be beyond the Spirit’s reach? The Jesus People Movement (late 1960s–1970s). In the countercultural hotbeds of Southern California hippies, addicts, and spiritual seekers were baptized by the thousands. The generation many assumed was too far gone became burning ones for Jesus. The Brownsville Revival, Pensacola (1995–2000). On Father’s Day 1995, what began as an ordinary Sunday service ignited into one of the most significant outpourings of the last 30 years. Under Pastor John Kilpatrick and evangelist Steve Hill, the Holy Spirit fell with convicting power. Millions visited over five years, with altars filled night after night as people wept, repented, and encountered the fire of God. In an age of growing cynicism, Pensacola became proof that revival was not a relic of the past but a living reality. The River Is Breaking Banks Right Now These snapshots from history bring us to the present moment — because the pattern has not stopped. In February 2023, the Asbury Outpouring reminded us that revival is not exclusive to the history books. Students filled a chapel in Wilmore, Kentucky, and what began as a simple time of prayer and worship stretched into days, then weeks. Thousands came from around the globe—not because there were big-name preachers or cutting-edge production, but because God's presence was tangible, the worship was pure, and the altar was open for people to have holy encounters. What Asbury signaled was not an isolated visitation. It was a signpost of what God is doing across America in our day. Since 2020, the ground has shifted. In the aftermath of crisis, confusion, and cultural upheaval, hunger has begun to rise again. Secularism has not delivered the utopia it promised. Atheism has not satisfied the ache for meaning. Postmodernism has only deepened the swirl of confusion. And in the middle of this disillusionment, a remnant is rising. Across university campuses, thousands are gathering—some in arenas, some in open fields, others in lecture halls. They are not satisfied with watered-down religion. They are desperate for bold answers, unapologetic truth, and encounters with the real Jesus. Multitudes of students are filling spaces to worship, repent, and be baptized—not because of slick campaigns, but because they have tasted the emptiness of the world and are desperate for the River of Life, the Holy Spirit. The Spirit Is Stirring in Unlikely Places But this stirring is not limited to campuses. It is showing up in the places that once seemed least likely—among Hollywood creatives and cultural influencers. Top podcasters are asking questions about God, Scripture, and the meaning of life. Some of the most listened-to voices in the digital public square are giving airtime to conversations about Christianity—not as an irrelevant icon of the past, but as an urgent question for the present. Could it be that God is seeding the next great awakening not only in church buildings but also in podcast studios, university stadiums, and on cultural stages? The places we are tempted to write off as too dark or too hostile are being invaded by light. Revival is erupting in a podcast. It is breaking out in a dorm room. It is whispering in the conscience of top influencers. It is stirring in the places most people thought were sealed to the Gospel. The River is not trickling quietly just within the four walls of the church. It is breaking banks—flooding campuses, flooding culture, flooding influencers with questions and convictions they cannot shake. You Carry the River Into Dry Lands Here is what I want you to carry with you: you are not a spectator to this story. You are part of it. Jesus' invitation still rings: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. …out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:37-38 NKJV). People are thirsty—and the Spirit-filled Church carries the solution. You are filled with the River of Life that dry and thirsty people are desperate for. The River of God’s Spirit flows from within you into the world around you. The dryness of your environment does not threaten your fire. It is fuel for it. The very headlines that trouble your city, state, or nation may point to the specifics of your calling. You may be assigned to bring the River of God into those places. Don't curse the ground God called you to water. Speak life. The River of God is rising. Spiritual graveyards are turning into gardens. History prophesies to us about the future: what God did in times past through historic revival and awakening, He can and will do it again. And you—right where you are—are part of how revival history is written. Pray with me: Father, let Your river continue to rise. Renew the face of America by pouring out Your Spirit in a mighty way. No sphere or sector of society is beyond Your reach. And Lord, we say with the prophet Isaiah, Here I am, send me. Pour out Your Spirit through me. Use me wherever You have called and assigned me to be a voice and vessel of awakening. And we pray that Your fire would burn once again in believers across our nation. Continue building the glorious church You spoke of until it isn’t only a remnant that is on fire, but millions of believers are ablaze with Holy Spirit’s burning passion. Return leaders to their first love; baptize them afresh and anew with the power and passion of Holy Spirit. All of this we pray in Jesus’ name, amen.   6. https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-9-2026 July 9, 2026 Heaven’s Announcement Over America Yesterday I shared a post from Larry and Mercedes Sparks’ new book, "The Fire that Forged America". This powerful book will help us prepare and pray for the emerging revival. Today, I am sharing from their book again. In Ezekiel 37, God both asks the prophet a question and gives him clear instructions: There is a lie that has lingered too long in the imagination of American Christianity — and I want to confront it head-on today. The lie goes something like this: America is too far gone. The culture has drifted past the point of no return. The moral foundations are too crumbled, the institutions too corrupted, the next generation too lost. And so, if we believe America as a nation is too lost and too broken, we narrow the lie down to our zip code: this city is too secular, this campus is too hostile, this region is too dark. Either way — national or local — the verdict is the same. Written off. Can these bones live? Yes… If there are voices that agree with and announce what Heaven says about them. When the Word is preached with clarity and the Spirit is welcomed with hunger, we see Book of Acts results such as those in Ephesus: “the Word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily” (Acts 19:20 ESV). It was true in Ephesus, it was true in colonial America, and it is true right now. God Places His People in the Valley There are territories throughout the earth that are written off as too hard and dark. And tragically, this can influence believers in those very regions, causing them to live under the deception that the forces of darkness are somehow stronger than the Spirit of the risen Christ living inside them. Notice that God placed Ezekiel right in the middle of the valley of dry bones (Ezekiel 37:1). I am convinced that if God has sovereignly placed you in a spiritually challenging territory—whether that be a neighborhood, a city, or a nation bearing the weight of cultural collapse—He has an assignment for you there. And it is not simply to announce how dry or dead the bones are. Like Ezekiel, your assignment is to prophesy life, breath, and wind over exceedingly dry bones. God often positions His people in dark, “written-off” places so He can move through their voices, prayers, lives, and influence. Let’s walk through what Ezekiel’s encounter reveals about our assignment in America. Three Things Dry Valleys Teach Us First: dark places do not take God by surprise. Whether you live in a spiritually resistant city, serve in a post-modernized institution, or simply feel the weight of a nation that seems to be losing its way—your location is not random. He placed Ezekiel in the valley, and He has placed you where you are. Second: God is not intimidated by dry places. I remember when a pastor told my friend and revivalist Miriam Evans that a certain city was a “graveyard for churches.” Instead of agreeing with that pronouncement, she went to prayer. The Lord gave Miriam a dream of an Angel of Awakening so massive she couldn't see beyond his feet into the Heavens. This mighty angel stepped onto the Southeast coast of the US, into the very city marked as a cemetery for churches. What had been spiritually dead was now pregnant with awakening. I believe the same angel of awakening is advancing across America right now. Third: our responsibility is not to agree with the bleakness of the valley, nor to abandon it for greener pastures, nor to retreat into silence. We are called to release God’s Word into what seems irreversibly dead. Joel 2 and Acts 2 make it clear: in the last days, God’s sons and daughters will prophesy. That is not limited to preachers behind pulpits — it is the assignment of every Spirit-filled believer. When God places you in a hard place, He is not punishing you. He is trusting you to be His voice to dry bones. The Gospel and the Glory Always Prevail Surprisingly, I am more hopeful about America than most headlines would justify. Not because I'm naive about the darkness, but because I’ve studied what God has done in America before, and I know that America's history is not a story of spiritual decline without recovery. It is a decline followed by divine interruption. Every time America has drifted toward moral collapse, God has answered—not with abandonment, but with awakening. Jesus never told us to avoid the gates of hell—He told us those gates would not prevail against His Church. The enemy doesn’t get to write the final headline of cities, states, or nations. God does. He is not intimidated by graveyards; He simply deposits prophetic voices into these places to declare His life and awakening over them. The key is prioritizing the Book of Acts strategy to spiritually transform territories: the gospel, demonstrated by God’s power and glory. A clear proclamation of Christ crucified and risen, then confirmed by the manifest power of the Holy Spirit: supernatural gifts in operation, demons cast out, bodies healed, atmospheres transformed. Unchurched people are not offended by the raw demonstration of God's power—if anything, those curiously visiting our Sunday morning sanctuaries are crying out for the authentic display of the supernatural. Hard Places That Became Harvest Fields Consider two “hard places” that became harvest fields throughout Scripture. Samaria (Acts 😎 was defined by centuries of paganism and idolatry, yet when Philip preached Christ, demons shrieked, the sick were healed, and there was great joy in that city. God wants to fill broken cities with joy. Ephesus (Acts 19) was a headquarters of idolatry, immorality, and occult power—home of the temple of Artemis, which set the spiritual atmosphere for the entire territory. One could rightly call it a hard and dark place. Yet, the word of the Lord prevailed mightily, and revival came to the city. If Ephesus can experience this, any modern city can—and so can America. These examples don’t just confirm that revival is possible in hard and dark places—they should provoke us to agree with Heaven’s announcement and objective. According to Joel 2 and Acts 2, God wants all flesh to experience the outpouring of the Spirit. Is America part of “all flesh?” Yes. So we boldly announce: “America, it’s time for another great outpouring!” Pray with me: Father, forgive us for believing lies concerning “hard and dark” territories. Our standard is not to be how sinful a nation appears; our standard is Your Scripture. And Your Word invites us to believe that violent and oppressed cities will be filled with joy, entire territories will be transformed by the Gospel, and nations will be born again in a day. We commit to come into agreement with Your Word regarding America. Not the news. Not the naysayers. Not the negativity. We pray as the church in Acts prayed: “And now, O Lord, give us great boldness in preaching your word. Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus” (Acts 4:29-30). Your Word says dry, dead bones can live, and so we declare: America, come alive in the name of Jesus! All of this we pray in Jesus’ name.   7. https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-10-2026 July 10, 2026 A Lesson from King David Reading from 1 Chronicles 21:1-5 (NASB): “Then satan stood up against Israel and moved David to number Israel. So David said to Joab and to the princes of the people, ‘Go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan, and bring me word that I may know their number.’ Joab said, ‘May the Lord add to His people a hundred times as many as they are! But, my lord the king, are they not all my lord’s servants? Why does my lord seek this thing? Why should he be a cause of guilt to Israel?’ Nevertheless, the king’s word prevailed against Joab. Therefore, Joab departed and went throughout all Israel and came to Jerusalem. Joab gave David the number of the census of all…who drew the sword.” The story of King David numbering the people Israel is a sad and sobering passage of Scripture. His actions brought severe judgment on Israel. At first glance, a census seems normal and harmless. However, Israel was instructed when and how they were allowed to do so in Exodus 30. Restricting them in this practice was because God did not want their trust to EVER be in their own strength and numbers, rather than Him. David’s action was a severe sin, first of all, because of his gross and willful disobedience. But his actions also revealed something else very troubling: pride had crept into David’s heart. Counting his army was a way of David saying, "Look at what I have built; look at my power.” By ordering a census without God’s explicit command, this once humble shepherd, was acting as if he were the ultimate owner and master of Israel, rather than God’s appointed steward. It was an act of pride and a usurpation of God’s ownership and authority. And lastly, numbering the army shows us that David was shifting his reliance from God’s supernatural protection to the size of his military. He wanted to look at a number on paper to feel secure. The irony of this is that when David fought Goliath, he had famously said, “The Lord saves not with sword and spear” (1 Samuel 17:45). He knew that the strength of the enemy didn’t determine victory or defeat, but whether or not the Lord was fighting for them. David later wrote Psalm 20: “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” Comparing this with the census narrative above reveals a change in David’s heart. His faith and commitment to God had suffered significantly. How did this happen? Psalm 20 was likely written when David was younger, at the height of his military campaigns. In those days, his army was small and had to win its battles through sheer faith and trust in God…just as the Lord wanted. In Deuteronomy 17:16, God gave a specific command for any future king of Israel: “He must not acquire many horses for himself.” God wanted Israel’s kings to remain dependent on Him, not the size of their military. When David wrote Psalm 20, I’m sure he truly believed what he was writing. He knew that earthly military might was nothing compared to the power of God’s name and His blessings. When he was an underdog facing a giant with nothing but a sling, it was trust God or die. But time and success can take their toll. Fast forward a few decades. The census took place during David’s twilight years. He was no longer a poor young shepherd fighting giants; he was an established, wealthy monarch. Decades of success, political security, absolute power, and, much learning had subtly eroded his reliance on God. David didn’t just wake up one day and suddenly decide to abandon his faith and trust; it was a gradual fade! By the time of the census, the temptation to count his “horses and chariots” (his military might) had finally won. But the census became inevitable the moment David stopped looking to God for security and began relying on his own abilities and numbers. Now that he had a powerful army, the underlying mindset was, “We can handle things ourselves.” David’s loss of faith in God serves as a powerful warning to all of us: Yesterday’s experiences, lessons, and spiritual victories can breed pride and self-sufficiency if we are not vigilant to guard against them. Humility is our responsibility, we must choose, not ask God for. “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He shall lift you up” (James 4:10). Verse six of this chapter tells us He gives grace to the humble. This brings me to the primary purpose of today’s post. I feel a strong urge to pray for President Trump and his entire team. It would be quite easy for the most powerful person in the world to fall into the same trap that snared David. I quoted the beatitude from Matthew 5:3 in a recent post: “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” The New Living Translation states, “God blesses those who…realize their need for him.” We must pray that President Trump and all those in his administration are continuously reminded of just how much they need God’s guidance and help. America is great because of the great God she aligned herself with. And yes, we have begun our journey back to Him. But this journey could be sidetracked very quickly through pride, disobedience, and complacency. It is worth repeating what Ben Franklin said during the Constitutional Convention in 1787, after the delegates had neglected to corporately humble themselves and ask for God’s help. When failure seemed likely, and the struggle reached a desperate point, he stood and referenced God’s “superintending providence” in bringing the nation to liberty. Franklin then stated: “And have we now forgotten that powerful Friend? Or do we imagine we no longer need His assistance? I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth–that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? “We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings, that ‘except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.’ I firmly believe this, and I also believe that without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building, no better than the builders of Babel…”(1) The same is true regarding America’s rebuilding in our day. Let’s pray. Pray with me: Father, America is without question the most powerful nation that has ever existed militarily. We are also the richest. Our blessings are beyond comparison. But we are blessed and prosperous because of You. Your Word says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12), and we are inarguable proof of this promise. Remind us that we can be patriotic and love our nation without succumbing to arrogance and pride. We can, and must, choose humility. In the past, we Americans, like David, have exalted ourselves and failed to remember that You made us great. Remind us of Christ’s words that You bless those who realize their need for You. And we pray especially that You remind President Trump and his team EVERY DAY of their need for Your guidance and wisdom. Only You can turn around our nation. Only You can heal our land and restore it to greatness. Only You know the exact path to ending Iran’s evil rule. And as our leaders humble themselves before You, give them the grace You promised. Think through their minds, download Your thoughts, release Your strategies. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.   8. https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-6-2026 July 6, 2026 Bucket List Item Fulfilled: July 4th Fireworks in DC I fulfilled one of the goals on my bucket list this past weekend: Ceci and I watched the Fourth of July celebration live in Washington, D.C. The goal hadn’t been to do so on America’s 250th birthday, but Providence determined that we would. And what a year to choose. More than 850,000 fireworks were used in Washington, D.C., during the Independence Day celebrations!(1) Organizers launched the explosives from 10 different locations, including barges in the Potomac River. The 40-minute display was ten times larger than typical D.C. Independence Day shows and was designed to break the Guinness World Record for the largest single fireworks display. I’m thinking even the cloud of witnesses in heaven enjoyed this one! We were in DC to speak at Intercessors For America’s gathering at the Museum of the Bible. How fitting that this amazing organization, which for 50 years has led the way in intercession for America, would host this conference. What an honor to join them. After the gathering ended, we joined about 160 attendees on a riverboat cruise and watched the fireworks while perched on the Potomac. Bucket list: check. While there in DC for the weekend, I couldn’t help but have a time of reflection. I went back in my mind to some of the encounters I’ve had with the Lord, during which He gave me His heart for America and mantled me for what I now do. Regarding this great but prodigal nation, I have dreamed with Him, wept with Him, and rejoiced with Him. I have traveled millions of miles with Him, praying in every state–most of them multiple times. There are plenty of memories. I also reflected much further back: my journey has been but one of millions and reflects only a short span of the timeline. I thought about Robert Hunt and company planting the cross at Cape Henry after leaving family and friends behind to face difficult weeks at sea and a new world. Then, about half of the original group died within the first few months, due to a combination of disease and malnutrition. Hunt himself died in the spring of 1608 at roughly 39 years of age. But their legacy lives. I thanked them. I thought of Jefferson pondering, carefully weighing his words while asking for Divine Providence, as he penned the Declaration. I pictured Hancock signing his name in extra-large letters so old King George could read it without his glasses, and I signed my name next to his. I listened in my heart as Patriot Sam Adams said, “We have this day restored the Sovereign, to Whom alone men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven and… from the rising to the setting sun, may His kingdom come.”(2) And I worshipped with him. I thought of George Washington and his troops at Valley Forge, freezing and starving, yet somehow persevering. I pictured this great American Founder kneeling in the snow, appealing to heaven for help and miraculous intervention. I thanked him, and the soldiers as well, then appealed to heaven for America’s full recovery. I pictured Whitefield, the Wesleys, and Edwards preaching. I envisioned Circuit Riders spending lonely hours riding through rain, snow, freezing cold, and scorching sun to take the gospel to new frontiers. I thought of thousands gathered on the hills of Cane Ridge, KY, listening to powerful messages and being visited by the glory of God. And I imagined William Seymour as he led a history-shaping revival at Azusa Street. And then I dreamed a little. I imagined a future where the fruit of all these labors experienced another wave of multiplication. Cape Henry’s dedication of this land to the gospel received new life, and the First and Second Great Awakenings multiplied into a Third. The fire of earth-changing evangelists was relit, and a fresh wave of torch-bearers was unleashed throughout America and the world. I dreamed of a new generation of righteous, God-honoring patriots in our government, seeking His wisdom and direction, just as our Founders did when writing our Constitution. I rang the bell of liberty in my mind and dreamed of another generation of Americans proclaiming Liberty throughout the land, to all the inhabitants thereof. Then I rededicated myself to the cause, and returned home to continue my journey. Pray with me: Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to redeem us wayward humans. What an incredible plan. Thank You for involving us in this plan; You save us, then use us to save others! We go from being the problem to becoming part of the solution. You’re amazing. And thank You for America, a nation raised up to partner with You in this plan. What an honor! And of course, why wouldn’t that nation become the greatest nation in the world?! You blessed us overwhelmingly, and in every way. NO nation has ever been so blessed. All because we honored and partnered with You. And yet, shockingly, like the prodigal in Scripture, we abandoned You and squandered our inheritance. It’s hard to fathom this rebellion and fall. Yet, in Your great love and mercy, You have said You would restore us, and are doing so! Thank You! Now, take it all to the next level. Next-level revival, next-level restoration, next-level partnership with You. We ask this in Yeshua’s wonderful name, amen.   9. https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-3-2026 July 3, 2026 “The Highest Glory of the American Revolution” One can only imagine the range of emotions present in Independence Hall when the Declaration of Independence was signed. In the classic book, The Light and the Glory, Peter Marshall and David Manuel offer the following account: “The magnitude of what they had done began to weigh upon them, and they realized that they and their countrymen were no longer Englishmen, but citizens of a fledgling nation barely a few minutes old. Many stared out the window. Some wept openly. Some, like Witherspoon, bowed their heads and closed their eyes in prayer. John Hancock broke the silence: ‘Gentlemen, the price on my head has just been doubled!’ “A wry chuckle followed, and then Samuel Adams rose: ‘We have this day restored the Sovereign, to Whom alone men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven and … from the rising to the setting sun, may His Kingdom come.’”(1) It is ridiculous to suggest that these Founders did not believe God was involved in this endeavor. John Quincy Adams, son of John and Abigail Adams and sixth president of the United States, made the profound statement on the 45th anniversary of the signing, “The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity” (July 4, 1821).(2) Adams’ belief in this indissoluble bond never waned. On America’s 61st birthday, July 4, 1837, he made the following staggering declaration, connecting the birth of our nation to the birth of Jesus Christ: “Why is it that, next to the birthday of the Savior of the world, your most joyous and most venerated festival returns on this day? [July 4th]. Is it not that, in the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior? That it forms a leading event in the progress of the Gospel dispensation? Is it not that the Declaration of Independence first organized the social compact on the foundation of the Redeemer’s mission upon earth?” (7/4/1837).(3) Adams wasn’t equating America’s birth with Christ’s birth; he was saying that America’s birth was linked to His Birth. Our destiny involved announcing Christ’s birth as the Redeemer of humankind. This patriot knew why God raised up America! The Price of Freedom The signers of the Declaration of Independence understood the potential cost of their actions. This is why they ended the document with the words: “For the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of the Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.”(4) John Quincy’s dad, John Adams, one of the signers and our second President, spoke of the probable cost to his wife, Abigail: “I am well aware of the toil and blood and treasure that it will cost us to maintain this Declaration and support and defend these states. Yet through all the gloom, I can see the rays of ravishing light and glory. I can see that the end is more than worth all the means.”(5) Signer Lewis Morris’ half-brother tried to dissuade him from signing the Declaration, warning him of the potential cost. Morris’s eloquent response? “Damn the consequences. Give me the pen!”(6) I’ve often wondered if General George Patton was one of his descendants! Signer Sam Adams, mentioned above, was a second cousin of John Adams, a distant uncle of John Quincy, and a key voice for liberty. Thomas Jefferson referred to him as “the patriarch of liberty.” Boston newspapers eulogized him as “the Father of the American Revolution.” (The Adams clan was certainly a bunch of freedom-loving warriors!) Speaking of the possible cost of freedom and declaring where he had placed his trust, Sam Adams said: “We have proclaimed to the world our determination ‘to die freemen, rather than to live slaves.’ We have appealed to heaven for the justice of our cause, and in Heaven, we have placed our trust.”(7) Cousin John was such a passionate pioneer of liberty that Jefferson referred to him as a “colossus of independence.” On July 1, 1776, just before the signing of the Declaration, he spoke to the delegates at the Continental Congress: “Before God, I believe the hour has come. My judgment approves this measure, and my whole heart is in it. All that I have, and all that I am, and all that I hope in this life, I am now ready here to stake upon it. And I leave off as I began, that live or die, survive or perish, I am for the Declaration. It is my living sentiment, and by the blessing of God, it shall be my dying sentiment. Independence now, and Independence forever!”(8) Though John Adams and Jefferson didn’t always see eye-to-eye, their passion for America enabled them to set aside their differences, and they died as close friends—on the same day!(9) Most people are unaware that Adams and Jefferson, in an incredible phenomenon that could have only been caused by Providence, both died on the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1826. Incredibly, God honored their love for America by allowing them to live until that landmark day. Their passion to see the survival of this “holy experiment,” as many described America at that time, and God’s divine favor kept them alive until this milestone was reached. Adams, too weak to attend the national Fourth of July celebration, asked to be seated in a chair by his window in order to watch the festivities. While watching the celebration, he drifted into unconsciousness and died later that night. Two of his last words before he graduated to Heaven were “Independence forever,”(10) restating his words from 50 years earlier. This was, indeed, his dying sentiment. Passionate in life; passionate in death. When the Declaration of Independence was signed, Adams said it “will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated as the Day of Deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever.”(11) And so it is. As we celebrate this monumental day, the 250th birthday of America, I leave you with the words of Founding Father Joseph Warren, quoted by Ronald Reagan in his First Inaugural Address. Reagan shared: “On the eve of our struggle for independence, a man who might have been one of the greatest among the Founding Fathers, Dr. Joseph Warren, President of the Massachusetts Congress, said to his fellow Americans, ‘Our country is in danger, but not to be despaired of.... On you depend the fortunes of America. You are to decide the important questions upon which rest the happiness and the liberty of millions yet unborn. Act worthy of yourselves.’”(12) Reagan continued, “Well, I believe we, the Americans of today, are ready to act worthy of ourselves, ready to do what must be done to ensure happiness and liberty for ourselves, our children, and our children’s children.”(13) Happy Independence Day! Pray with me: Father, we give thanks for our freedom. Americans are an immeasurably blessed people. We make our heavenward appeals today, asking for the courage to “act worthy of” this blessing and of our holy calling (Ephesians 4:1). During this span, England has been in a free fall of almost unprecedented proportions. The economy is in shambles, migrants are taking over cities, crime is rampant, and freedoms are eroding frighteningly fast. Globalism, woke-ism, and progressive leaders are destroying this once “Great” nation. “Before Brexit [Britain’s exit from the European Union, which occurred in 2020], 58% of migrants came from the European Union. In 2024, 90% came from outside the EU, while total immigration has nearly doubled in just five years. This is the opposite of what British people wanted. “In the year ending December, 2025, police in England and Wales recorded 74,174 rape offenses. That is approximately 200/day. “For decades, grooming gangs [a heinous practice of enticing vulnerable young children into “friendships” through food or money, then eventually forcing them into sexual exploitation, even slavery] operated freely across 149 towns and cities in the UK. Police knew. Local councils knew. The government knew. They let thousands of little girls be abused because they were afraid of being called racist. “The UK now arrests more people for what they say online than any other country in Europe. Police made 12,183 arrests in 2023 under offensive communications laws. That is around 33 people arrested every day for what they said or posted. “The health system collapsed. In September, 2024, over 7 million people were waiting for treatment. A hundred thousand of them waited for more than a year. In the emergency room, 4 out of 10 won’t be seen within 4 hours. “The UK now spends more on welfare than it raises from income tax. (£333 billion paid out, £329 billion collected from workers.) “In May alone, the UK borrowed £23.3 billion. The second highest figure ever recorded for a single month. Government debt is now at 95% of GDP. Debt interest payments cost £11.7 billion in May alone, £4 billion more than a year ago. The country is ungovernable and bankrupt. “It is widely reported that in 2025, the UK lost more millionaires than any other country on earth. They took around £66 billion in liquid wealth with them. “It is not just the rich leaving. In 2025, 246,000 British nationals left the UK. A quarter of a million Brits decided life was better somewhere else.”(1) Unfortunately, this isn’t likely to change anytime soon. The next Prime Minister will probably be Andy Burnham, who many say is further left than Starmer. A similar downfall to Britain’s–and other European nations, by the way–had also been occurring in America for several years. And it is what God is using President Trump and others to stop. We were on the edge of the cliff and teetering. Thank God, this is changing. The weakening and deterioration of Western nations has been by design. There are different philosophies/groups that want to control the world: an elite group of globalists want control; Marxists/communists want control; and radical Islamists want to rule the world. Although their motives differ, their goals are the same: world domination. The free, Western world stands in their way. Thus, the great, prolonged attack on Western values, ideals, and strengths. Trump is not our savior, but God uses people, and He is using this man. The President wants a strong, free, prosperous, and great America. Whatever human motives or ambitions may influence him, I am confident he is also motivated by God and a true love for America. As I have stated before, something changed in Trump after Butler, PA. The saving of his life was too extraordinary not to have been miraculous, and he knows it. He walked away from the experience knowing God spared his life for a reason, a purpose, a divine destiny. And he is determined to accomplish that purpose, regardless of the opposition, the challenges, and even the grueling pace. President Trump is certainly not a perfect man; he has his weaknesses, as does everyone. We are all fallible humans, needing God’s grace, strength, wisdom, and guidance. But like Queen Esther, he was “born for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14). Pray for our President and his entire team. Especially pray that they walk in humility before God. The beatitude in Matthew 5:3 says: “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” The New Living Translation states, “God blesses those who…realize their need for him.” Pray that Trump and all those in his administration realize just how much they need God’s guidance and help. And pray for Britain. The world is better with a strong Great Britain, and, of course, a strong Europe. Pray that the entire continent experiences a great revival and reformation. Europe gave us Martin Luther, John and Charles Wesley, Rees Howells, Evan Roberts, Count Zinzendorf and the Moravians, George Whitefield, and much of our spiritual heritage. Pray that they recover and experience a sweeping revival. And never stop praying for America. We are inextricably connected with God’s plans on earth. He needs a strong, free, and righteous America. This is not arrogance or pride–HE raised up this nation for HIS purposes. We exist for Him and His glory. Stay focused in Your prayers for the emerging revival and reformation–He is saving us. His Kingdom is coming, His will is being done in America. Ignore the naysayers and critics. Never back up, never back down, and never quit. Pray with me: Father, blessed are those who know their desperate need of You. You said this dependency opens the door of access to Your Kingdom benefits. We are quick to say we need Your assistance; we’re totally incapable of accomplishing eternal good in our own human strength. It is through You, the Greater One within us (1 John 4:4), that we can overcome and accomplish great things. We pray that Your Spirit in President Trump would keep him reminded of his great need for You. You gave him great gifts and talents. But sometimes we humans forget where our abilities come from, especially after experiencing success. This leads us to rely on ourselves rather than on You. At times, pride enters, causing us to fall. Remind President Trump daily of how much he and his team need Your grace, wisdom, and guidance. We pray for America. Save, revive, restore, renew, and reform her. We pray also for our friends in Great Britain. Make them great again. Cause revival to sweep throughout that land and all of Europe. Save many millions and use them once again as beacons of light. All of this we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.   11. https://www.givehim15.com/post/june-26-2026 June 26, 2026 The River is Flowing As I considered what to release in today’s post, Holy Spirit reminded me of 2 dreams He gave Gina Gholston a few years back. I have shared the dreams before on Give Him 15, but felt strongly impressed to do so again. Dreams of this nature are not to be read and forgotten. They are to become a seed of promise we nurture and call forth until they are fulfilled. In the dreams, the Lord was merging the fruits of several historical revivals, including the Welsh revival. The setting of the first dream (in 2020) was the Red River Meeting House near Russellville, Kentucky, which Gina mentioned once again in a recent post. A mighty revival occurred there in 1800. In the dream, she saw a geyser burst forth, releasing waters of revival, and the Lord said, “It’s time!” God was revealing that past wells of revival would be reopened in our day. She then saw 100 bald eagles being sent out from the Red River Meeting House, drenched in the waters of that reopened well; each eagle was carrying three arrows and a rolled-up piece of paper in their talons. In the same dream, Gina also saw lines being drawn on a map of the United States. Those lines connected the Red River Meeting House, Cane Ridge (the 1801 revival), and Azusa Street (the 1906 revival), forming what appeared to be a spearhead. Then another line came from the nation of Wales (the revival of 1903-1904), forming what looked like the shaft of the spear. Each of these is a location that experienced major moves of God in past years, bringing spiritual transformation. As she saw this formation in the dream, the Lord said to Gina, “I am going to spearhead another greater move of My Spirit in your time, and it’s time.” The Second Dream Then, in 2021, Gina had another dream in which she was standing with someone on a deck-like structure in the heavens. From this place, they were looking down, observing the United States of America. Gina did not know who the man standing next to her was, but she could feel a strong anointing emanating from him, and his presence was giving her an indescribable hope for America! As they looked down, they saw what first appeared to be warplanes flying over the U.S. The man next to her nonchalantly said, “Oh my, I wonder what is happening in America? And what do all of these warplanes mean?” He said this, not with concern, but almost as though he wanted Gina to see something that wasn’t obvious. He looked at her as if she should know the right answer to his questions. Gina said to him, “Those are not warplanes. Those are eagles! I have seen them before in a dream. There are one hundred of them, and they are carrying water from a well of revival that has been unlocked and is now gushing forth into the nation.” Though it had been a year since the first dream, she noticed that each eagle was still drenched with water from the opened revival well of Red River Meeting House, and in their talons were the 300 arrows and the rolled-up piece of paper. As the eagles flew across America, they suddenly began to dive simultaneously toward the land. It appeared that they would hit the ground, but they leveled off and began dropping their 300 arrows. [Many intercessors participated in a prophetic act regarding this in 2023, burying 300 arrowheads throughout the nation.] When each arrow hit the ground, it ignited as though it had hit a gas pocket. Up from that spot would come a spiraling column of fire. Then the water - yes, the water - the eagles were releasing began to be ignited by the fire until it seemed that all of America was ablaze. In the dream, Gina fell to her knees, becoming acutely aware of God’s power and presence! The gentleman next to her then began to speak under a heavy anointing. He said: “You have seen correctly! This is how America will be saved! Do not doubt it! A sweeping move of the Spirit of God is coming, igniting the land with the fire of His presence, bringing a swift and undeniable awakening. What appears to be one thing is about to be revealed as another thing. Some are in fear because of how things appear, but others SEE with holy awe and expectation! The eagles are on assignment. They carry ‘Fire Power.’ They carry glory, and at the precise moment, their arrows will be released, and they will hit their targets, and the move of God will ignite and spread very quickly!” He then said again, “DO NOT DOUBT IT!” Gina then instinctively knew in the dream, that this man was Duncan Campbell. That was the end of the dream. Duncan Campbell was a leader in another major move of God that took place in the Hebrides Islands from 1949 to 1952. The revival fires that burned in those islands were so powerful and transforming that multitudes were born again as the glory of God filled the land. It is of great significance that God put this man in the dream. It declares to us that the same transforming power of God that saved the Hebrides Islands will manifest in our time to save our nation! And I don’t believe it is a coincidence that President Trump has a strong connection to the Hebrides revival. His mother was from the Hebrides and was deeply impacted by the revival. She gave him a Bible that had been given to her during the revival, and President Trump was sworn into office on this Bible. Our President, who recently called for America’s rededication to God, has roots in the revival referenced in this dream! No way is this a coincidence! I believe we are entering another phase in this dream’s fulfillment. The dropping of the fiery arrows in the dream, and symbolized by the prophetic acts of planting 300 arrowheads in 2023, pictures what is beginning. The fires of awakening in America and around the world have been lit. Strategic pockets of revival in history are being opened, merging with prophetic promises for our day. This has begun. Though it may have seemed that America was destined for imminent destruction, God is saying, “Look again! See things from My perspective.” Our great God, who loves to redeem, has a plan! And He has declared His verdict: “America shall be saved!” That salvation will come by way of another great move of His Spirit! This is a prophetic promise that has been “set to the rhythm of heaven’s time clock,” and God is saying, “It’s time!” God has chosen the location of the fire pockets. Fires of revival will now spring up! Watch for this. Stay focused and filled with expectation. The fire may seem small at first, but a spark can quickly become a blazing fire, demonstrating the reality of our all-powerful, all-consuming God. As Duncan Campbell said in the dream, “Do not doubt it!” Pray with me: Father, saturate us with the waters of Your Word, and of the river of Your Spirit (John 7:37-39). You have said we will witness an undeniable move of Your Spirit, ignited by the release of the arrows of Your glory! Cause the church to change her perspective, Lord, no longer judging things by what we see through the lens of our natural understanding. Cause us to look with holy awe and expectation, as this dream shows us. You are at work, and we will now witness a supernatural awakening as You spearhead another “greater” move of Your Spirit. And Father, we refuse to grow weary in our faith and efforts. We have supernatural strength and endurance!! We have power from heaven coursing through us! We are well able to take the land! Spiritual giants will fall at the name of Jesus, releasing territories from their evil hold! Revival will blaze, governments will shift, nations will transform! The mighty river of Holy Spirit is flowing and will surge to flood levels. Your agenda will prevail, in the all-powerful name of Jesus.   12. https://www.givehim15.com/post/june-29-2026 June 29, 2026 Old Glory Ceci and I will be flying our American flag proudly this week, as usual, augmented by several USA pleated fan flags hanging on our fence, with a 250 Year Celebration fan flag hanging on the gate. No one will question our patriotism. Many on the Left no longer love our nation. Referring to this lack of patriotism, Speaker Mike Johnson said a few days back, “Sadly, many of these Democrat candidates and their voters just don’t have the same zeal and affection for America. They don’t appreciate the freedom that we have in this country. They’re not even going to celebrate on July 4. There’s a new NBC poll that came out. Did you see that only 29% of Democrat voters that they polled said they’re proud to be an American? What happened to the Democrat Party?”(1) A leading New York Democratic congressional candidate, Darializa Avila Chevalier, once spoke of her dishonor for the flag, posting, “I forgot to get napkins so I just wiped my hand on the American flag behind me.”(2) Yea, you know, the flag they drape over the caskets of deceased American soldiers, then carefully fold and present to their next-of-kin. That flag. Seven states said they would not be participating in the Great American State Fair: Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oregon, Washington. They feel it is too political. Obviously, not everyone in those states would feel this way, but those in charge do. Their hatred of Trump is greater thank their love of America. Today, for those of you who still revere this emblem of freedom and liberty, I thought I would share how our flag received the nickname, Old Glory. It began with Captain William Driver, a 19th-century American sea captain. Driver went to sea when he was just 13 years old, and in 1824, at 21 years of age, became a master mariner. Shortly thereafter, he took command of his own ship, the Charles Doggett. To celebrate, his mother and a circle of local women sewed him a massive, 17-by-10-foot American flag. Driver was very moved by the gift, and as it unfurled in the ocean breeze, he named the flag, Old Glory. The flag became his constant companion, flying from his mast for years, traveling around the world with him. Driver viewed it as a symbol of freedom, unity, and his homeland. In 1837, Driver retired from his sailing career and moved his family to Nashville, Tennessee, bringing his beloved, weathered flag with him. He was known for stringing a rope from his attic window to a tree across the street to proudly fly Old Glory on every civic holiday. However, trouble came when the Civil War broke out in 1861, and Tennessee seceded from the Union. Though Driver was a staunch Unionist, he found himself surrounded by Confederates. He refused to back down, in spite of the risks, and continued displaying Old Glory! His defiant display of the flag quickly made him a target, and local Confederate soldiers came to his house demanding he hand it over. Driver, then nearly 60 years old, stood on his porch and allegedly told them they would have to walk over his dead body to take it. Knowing the Confederates would return with a search warrant, Driver realized he had to hide his prized possession. He took Old Glory to a neighboring family of Union sympathizers. Together, they folded the massive flag, placed it between layers of fabric, and sewed it inside a heavy quilt. For several months, Confederate soldiers repeatedly searched Driver’s home, turning it upside down looking for the famous flag, never suspecting that the old blanket sitting on his bed held Old Glory. In February of 1862, Nashville became the first Confederate capital to fall to Union forces. When the 6th Ohio Regiment marched into the city and raised a small Union flag over the state capitol, Driver knew it was time. He walked up to the Union commanders carrying the old calico quilt over his arm. After confirming he was speaking to Union officers, he pulled out his pocket knife and began ripping open the seams of the quilt. To the absolute amazement of the soldiers, he pulled out the giant, 24-star “Old Glory.” Despite his age, Captain Driver personally climbed to the roof of the Tennessee State Capitol, took down the small flag, and hoisted his huge flag over the city. The soldiers broke into cheers, and the 6th Ohio Regiment even adopted “Old Glory” as their official motto. Captain Driver took his flag down shortly - it was too worn and tattered at this point to survive long in the strong winds - and preserved it for the rest of his life. In 1922, his descendants presented the original Old Glory to the Smithsonian Institution, where it is still preserved today at the National Museum of American History. There, it stands as a testimony to one man’s fierce and defiant patriotism.(3) Fly “Old Glory” this week, and proudly demonstrate your patriotism. Salute it, say the pledge, and pray for God’s blessing on our nation. Pray with me: Father, we thank You for Your great love for the entire world. Red, yellow, black and white - You love us all. This week, as we celebrate our homeland, we are mindful that You love all people equally the same. And we pray for all people throughout the world today, that they would experience Your blessing and a powerful outpouring of Your Spirit. Your Word tells us, however, that there is significance to where we were born and placed by You. Acts 17:26 says You chose our time in which to live and the place of our habitation. We accept the responsibility that comes with this. We pray for America, as others now pray for their nation, asking for healing and the recovery of purpose and strength. And we here in America do not take for granted the incredible prosperity we partake of and the freedoms we enjoy. We are humbled by the abundance we experience. May we ever be mindful of the price others have paid to win this freedom - the blood, sweat and tears. May we also ever remember and be grateful for the favor that came from You, because of our allegiance to You. We have enjoyed Your providential care and blessing. We thank You, and pledge, by the power and leading of the Holy Spirit, to turn our nation back to You. Amen. Heavy doses of patriotism will continue throughout this week. Two hundred fifty years ago, on July 2, 1776, the Second Continental Congress passed the Resolution for Independence, declaring the freedom of America’s 13 colonies from Great Britain. Two days later, on July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence, which officially announced and explained the case for independence, was approved. Throughout the week, we will celebrate this monumental day. George Washington, when addressing his troops regarding the War of Independence, stated with sobriety: “The fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the courage of this army. Our cruel and unrelenting enemy leaves us only the choice of brave resistance, or the most abject submission. We have, therefore, to resolve to conquer or die.”(1) Washington, it seems, was prophetic when he said, “The fate of unborn millions…will depend on the courage of this army.” Fast-forward 168 years to Normandy, France, and the decisive battle of WWII, known as D-Day. This bloody and horrific battle turned the tide against Hitler’s evil plans. Pvt. Charles Neighbor said of that day, “As our boat touched sand and the ramp went down, I became a visitor to Hell.”(2) Pointe Du Hoc Pointe du Hoc is a prominent cliff on the coast of Normandy. It was a strategic point heavily fortified by the Germans. The United States Army Ranger Assault Group scaled the cliffs under intense enemy fire to capture and secure the location. At the 40th Anniversary of the D-Day Ceremony Pointe du Hoc, Normandy, France, on June 6, 1984, President Ronald Reagan gave a powerful speech entitled “The Boys of Pointe du Hoc.” Here is a portion: “We’re here to mark that day in history when the Allied peoples joined in battle to reclaim this continent for liberty. For four long years, much of Europe had been under a terrible shadow. Free nations had fallen, Jews cried out in the camps, and millions cried out for liberation. Europe was enslaved, and the world prayed for its rescue. Here in Normandy, the rescue began. Here, the Allies stood and fought against tyranny in a giant undertaking unparalleled in human history. “We stand on a lonely, windswept point on the northern shore of France. The air is soft, but forty years ago at this moment, the air was dense with smoke, and the cries of men, and the air was filled with the crack of rifle fire and the roar of cannon. At dawn, on the morning of the 6th of June 1944, 225 Rangers jumped off the British landing craft and ran to the bottom of these cliffs. “Their mission was one of the most difficult and daring of the invasion: to climb these sheer and desolate cliffs and take out the enemy guns. The Allies had been told that some of the mightiest of these guns were here, and they would be trained on the beaches to stop the Allied advance. “The Rangers looked up and saw the enemy soldiers - at the edge of the cliffs, shooting down at them with machine guns and throwing grenades. And the American Rangers began to climb. They shot rope ladders over the face of these cliffs and began to pull themselves up. When one Ranger fell, another would take his place. When one rope was cut, a Ranger would grab another and begin his climb again. They climbed, shot back, and held their footing. Soon, one by one, the Rangers pulled themselves over the top, and in seizing the firm land at the top of these cliffs, they began to seize back the continent of Europe. Two hundred and twenty-five came here. After two days of fighting only ninety could still bear arms. “Behind me is a memorial that symbolizes the Ranger daggers that were thrust into the top of these cliffs. And before me are the men who put them there. “These are the boys of Pointe du Hoc. These are the men who took the cliffs. These are the champions who helped free a continent. These are the heroes who helped end a war. “Gentlemen, I look at you, and I think of the words of Stephen Spender's poem. You are men who in your ‘lives fought for life...and left the vivid air signed with your honor…’ “Forty summers have passed since the battle that you fought here. You were young the day you took these cliffs; some of you were hardly more than boys, with the deepest joys of life before you. Yet you risked everything here; why? Why did you do it? What compelled you to put aside the instinct for self-preservation and risk your lives to take these cliffs? What inspired all the men of the armies that met here? We look at you, and somehow, we know the answer. It was faith and belief; it was loyalty and love… “You all knew that some things are worth dying for. One’s country is worth dying for, and democracy is worth dying for, because it’s the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man. All of you loved liberty. All of you were willing to fight tyranny, and you knew the people of your countries were behind you. “You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us that we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.”(3) On her 250th birthday, America faces another war for her freedom. This war is ideological, but no less consequential. Liberty and the salvation of millions depend on the courage of the spiritual army called the church, the Ekklesia. With God as our help, as surely as we celebrate liberty on July 4 and victory over tyranny on June 6, we will one day celebrate victory over this attempt to destroy America and delay God’s great harvest. Pray with me: Father, You had great plans for America, and still do. We have sown much toward the spreading of the gospel and given much to humanitarian causes around the world. Yet, we lost our way and, like the prodigal, squandered our inheritance and forsook our destiny. Thank You for the fresh start You have promised. Continue to orchestrate this turnaround and a new beginning. We know that the fate of untold millions still hangs in the balance. We will not relent in our prayers and efforts until we see complete victory. Refresh and refire Your intercessors. And Father, You told us to pray for those in authority; we do so again today. We ask that divine wisdom be given to President Trump, leaders in Congress, and Supreme Court Justices. Our President is so hated. We ask that You protect him, his family members, and staff. Expose EVERY plan to harm them and bring the plan/s to nothing. Keep the watchmen engaged. Please guide and direct our leaders in the conflict with Iran, and end the influence of the evil regime that has ruled there. Bring forth Your solution. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.   14. https://www.givehim15.com/post/june-10-2026 June 10, 2026 Holy Spirit, Our Battle Partner 1 Chronicles 12:32: “And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.” First Chronicles 12 is the account describing King David’s great army of soldiers. Verse one tells us “These are the men who came to David at Ziklag, while he was still restricted because of Saul the son of Kish; and they were among the mighty men who helped him in war.” Verse 38, at the end of the chapter, repeats the fact that these were David’s “men of war.” These “mighty men” have been considered by some historians to be among the greatest fighting forces to ever exist. Some of their feats, as recorded in 2 Samuel 23 and 1 Chronicles 11, seem almost impossible. These soldiers were no doubt assisted by Holy Spirit, just as Samson was. The Holy Spirit is the most neglected source of help in the world. He is actually called our Helper (parakletos)(1) in Scripture (John 14:16,26; 15:26; 16:7) and is our source of power on the spiritual battlefield (Acts 1:8). The Amplified Bible actually uses seven words to translate parakletos: Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counselor, Strengthener, and Standby! The Greeks provide a great picture for us of Holy Spirit’s help in spiritual warfare. In history, “Greek soldiers went into battle in pairs so that when an enemy attacked, they could draw together, back-to-back, covering each other’s blind side. One’s battle partner was his paraclete.”(2) Holy Spirit is your battle partner - that should bring some comfort! Back to 1 Chronicles 12 and the children of Issachar. An interesting thing happens three-fourths of the way through this chapter. In verse 32, God shifts temporarily from describing battlefield prowess to intel. It turns out that those from the tribe of Issachar weren’t known for fighting with swords and spears, but with their spiritual ears! They were David’s prophetic corps. The phrase “understanding of the times” doesn’t mean they were historians or observers of present-day trends. The word used for “understanding” is biynah,(3) and means discernment and wisdom. It is what God gave Daniel, enabling him to understand dreams and visions (Daniel 1:20, 9:22, 10:1). Solomon was also given this gift (1 Kings 3:1-15). Biynah would be the equivalent of “the spirit of wisdom and revelation” mentioned in Ephesians 1:17. “Time” is the word eth(4), meaning an appointed or strategic time, much like the Greek word kairos.(5) Issachar likely had an anointing to discern general times and seasons as well, but the context here is specifically for times of war. David’s “mighty men” included “discerning men!” Imagine that! David was able to go to one of his military units and ask, “What is Holy Spirit saying about this battle? What are you discerning?” And Issachar was able to respond: “Here’s what God is showing us, and the strategy He has given.” Now there’s some intel!!! Based on 1 Corinthians 10:6, we should assume from David’s example that prophetic insight - as well as spiritual power - is critical in order for us to win spiritual battles. The questions: “What is Holy Spirit saying about this situation? What is His strategy?” are nonnegotiable if we are to be “more than conquerors” (Romans 8:37). Ignoring Holy Spirit’s help occurs when we make Christianity a religion instead of a relationship. Our walk with God is not supposed to be based on religious rituals and doctrines, and Holy Spirit didn’t lose His voice when the Bible was written. He wants to communicate with us! When God created Adam and Eve in Eden, He created His family, not a religion. Family is what was lost at the Fall and what Yeshua restored at the Cross. And Jesus said to call God “Father” (Matthew 6:9). Get to know your Friend, Holy Spirit. He was sent to teach us (John 14:26), guide us into truth, and show us things to come (John 16:13). He was also sent to make us overcomers, those who reign in this life (Romans 5:17), not just the world to come. Pray with me: Father, we thank You for sending Holy Spirit to be our Helper. Just as Jesus was filled with, led, empowered, and anointed by Holy Spirit, we have been promised the same help. We ask You to bring a fresh infilling of Your Spirit to the Ekklesia; sharpen our discernment and mature us to be led more accurately by our Helper, and more effective in revealing Christ on the earth. We trust You, Holy Spirit, as our great Paraclete. We know You are our protector and strength in battles. You make us more than conquerors (Romans 8:37) and cause us to always triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14). We ask for greater levels of this, not just for ourselves but for our leaders. Give the spirit of wisdom and revelation to our government leaders who have placed their faith in You. Defend them in their battles, and lead them in their decisions. Awaken in them the same awareness of their need for Your help that our Founders had when writing our Constitution. They called on You for help at the start of EVERY day, and You answered. You will do the same today. We ask especially that wisdom and revelation be given to them at this time regarding Iran. Satan’s subtlety is his greatest weapon, and he endeavors to infuse this ability into those aligned with him. We bind his ability to deceive our leaders and ask that Holy Spirit’s discernment be given to them. All of this we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen. He gives us discernment for life’s journey, including for our spiritual battles. Today, I want to continue this discussion. Holy Spirit doesn’t always share His plans and insights when we want or think He should. There are times when He must wait until the time is right. “Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (Jeremiah 33:3) This famous verse of Scripture has been heard by almost every believer. On one occasion several years ago, I woke up at 3:33 AM and heard the Lord say to me, “Jeremiah 33:3.” At least, I thought I had awakened at 3:33 AM, until I woke up again at 3:33 AM and heard the same words! When I finally did wake up, I realized I had dreamed that I woke up at 3:33 AM - twice! - and heard the Lord say “Jeremiah 33:3.” The Lord wanted to “awaken” me to this verse and do so with extra emphasis, so He gave me the same dream twice. I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but upon waking, I knew immediately that God wanted me to look at Jeremiah 33:3. We all find comfort in the promise that if we call upon the Lord, He will answer us and show us great and mighty things. But I decided to dig a little deeper and began by reading the verse in several biblical translations. I was immediately intrigued by the Amplified Classic Bible: “Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).” The phrase “fenced in and hidden” surprised and fascinated me. “Mighty” is the word that motivated the Amplified translators to add this additional phrase. My first thought was, Well, which is right? “Mighty?” or “fenced in and hidden?” Out came the lexicons. The Hebrew word is batsar.(1) It is a very fascinating word. Follow me closely: the root concept is “to cut off,” including the aspect of separating or isolating something. It was often used in the context of doing so in order to protect it. This is why the Amplified translators used it to describe something “fenced in and hidden,” like a garden or vineyard; the word was even used to describe gold, which is “cut off” from view and “hidden” by the ground. Batsar also took on the meaning of a city that was cut off, inaccessible, and therefore, “fortified.” The concept of mighty, therefore, is not referring to physical strength or military might, but to something hidden and inaccessible, thus, protected and “mighty.” The Amplified Bible got it right. This amazing verse says that God at times reveals information or revelation that has previously been hidden, and not yet made known. He will “unhide” it, if you will. This can be seen also in the fact that a different form of the word, betser,(2) is used to describe gold that was once “hidden” but has now been discovered and mined. Using this analogy of gold, we could say that God is going to reveal the treasure of His Word, or the prophetic revelation necessary for us to succeed or prosper (Joshua 1:8). We actually sometimes use the phrase “a wealth of information.” The “treasure” of information Holy Spirit gives could be prophetic insight regarding the times and seasons, how to break through in a given situation, or direction for the future. Any new insight revealed by Holy Spirit would fit the description of batsar/betser. God is willing to reveal the understanding we need to break through and prosper. Our Counselor and Teacher, Holy Spirit, wants to release the spirit of wisdom and revelation to you (Ephesians 1:17). He wants to “uncover” truth, information, and insight for you. Uncover is actually the literal meaning of revelation. Let Him help you mine the gold. Jeremiah 15:16 says, “Thy words were FOUND, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts” (emphasis mine). Too often, we fail to “find” the gold, the revelation we need, because we are not diligently looking and listening. Psalm 107:9 tells us God satisfies the thirsty and the hungry, filling them with what is good. “The problem isn’t God’s refusal to speak but our refusal or inability to get quiet enough to hear. Silencing the soul is a learned art. The psalmist David spoke of this. ‘Surely I have composed and quieted my soul; like a weaned child rests against his mother’ (Psalm 131:2). When we quieten the soul, we can hear His voice in our hearts.”(3) However, one more point must be made. Holy Spirit doesn’t always share His information, plans, and insights with us exactly when we want them or believe that He should. There are times when He must wait until just the right time. He protects certain information to keep us from moving ahead of His timing and from hindering His plans. Isaac comes at God’s time, not ours (Genesis 17:21), and His plans are shared in His timing, as well. He guards them until the right time. The Passion Translation translates this verse: “Cry out to Me and I will answer you. I will reveal to you great things, guarded secrets that you never could have known.” How about that - guarded secrets! The awesome promise of this verse, however, is that if we call upon God, at just the right time He will answer and reveal great, guarded secrets to assist us in life. As King Solomon was about to begin his reign over Israel, he prayed a prayer God couldn’t resist. “So give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” (1 Kings 3:9). The phrase “an understanding heart” could actually be translated “a hearing heart.” The translators struggle with the concept of a “hearing” heart, so they don’t translate it this way. But the Hebrew word is shama,(4) and it means “to hear.” Solomon asked for a hearing heart, in order to lead God’s people appropriately. God answered Solomon’s prayer, revealing to him treasures of wisdom; we can read them in the book of Proverbs. Why don’t you take a little time today and ask God to reveal some treasure to you? Pray with me: Father, we echo the words of the Psalmist, who asked You to “open my eyes that I may behold wonderful things from Your law/word” (Psalm 119:18). There is no problem we have, no situation we face, for which the answer cannot be found in Your Word, revealed to us by Holy Spirit. Give us the hunger and tenacity to dig for the treasure, for You have said that if we call upon You, You would answer and show us the hidden pearls of revelation we need. No, these priceless gems are not lying out in the open for the casual seeker to come across them “accidentally.” You do not cast Your pearls before swine. They must be sought, treated as the priceless treasure they are. But for the hungry, You have promised to help us mine the gold and find the treasure. Give us hungry, seeking hearts, just as Solomon possessed. And we know You will respond to that hunger by opening our eyes to find hidden treasures of wisdom. We pray for our leaders in government and in the church, asking that You give them wisdom and revelation to lead with Your understanding and enlightenment. Give them supernatural strategies to overcome challenging problems. Provide solutions to heal our nation and govern with righteousness and justice. And we pray for everyone listening to and reading this today. Give them the answers they need in order to overcome, break through, and succeed. Give them heaven’s understanding and wisdom for every situation they face. All of this we ask in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.   16. https://www.givehim15.com/post/june-15-2026 June 15, 2026 The Pillar of Fire I’ve said quite a bit lately about our Helper, the Holy Spirit. He aids us in many ways, not the least of which is guidance. He led the Israelites in a very unique way in the Exodus from Egypt, through a literal “pillar of a cloud” by day, and a “pillar of fire” by night (Exodus 13:21-22): “And the Lord was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, so that they might travel by day and by night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from the presence of the people.” (NASB) Interestingly, in a passionate speech to Patriot leaders in America’s War of Independence, Founding Father Sam Adams referenced these two pillars. In September 1777, the war was not going well. The British were in control of New York, and Washington’s troops were suffering from deprivation and fatigue. “The number of delegates present at Congress had dwindled to a mere twenty from the fifty-six members who had signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Those remaining gathered for a private meeting in York to question whether there was any hope of success.”(1) Firebrand Adams, known by Bostonians as the Father of the American Revolution, rose to speak–actually “preach” would be a better description of his exhortation–comparing the American revolutionaries to the Israelites who had left the slavery of Egypt. He first referenced appealing to heaven, along with God’s providence and faithfulness - leaving no doubt where his faith lay - then mentioned these two pillars: “Let us awaken then, and evince a different spirit, a spirit that shall inspire the people with confidence in themselves and in us, a spirit that will encourage them to persevere in this glorious struggle, until their rights and liberties shall be established on a rock. We have proclaimed to the world our determination ‘to die freemen, rather than to live slaves.’ We have appealed to heaven for the justice of our cause, and in heaven we have placed our trust. Numerous have been the manifestations of God’s providence in sustaining us. In the gloomy period of adversity, we have had ‘our cloud by day and pillar of fire by night.’ We have been reduced to distress, and the arm of Omnipotence has raised us up. Let us still rely in humble confidence on Him who is mighty to save. Good tidings will soon arrive. Heaven shall never abandon us while we act worthy of its aid and protection.”(2) Preach it, Adams! I have always been fascinated by these pillars of cloud and fire in Israel’s Exodus, finding God’s choice to manifest His presence in this way intriguing. The cloud and fire were no doubt manifestations of Holy Spirit. But did they picture something more? I believe they did. Psalm 29 speaks of the power of God’s voice releasing clouds and fire. Verses 3-6 speak of His voice releasing storms - clouds, thunder, lightning, etc., and verse 7 tells us it releases fire. According to TPT, this psalm was read on the first day of the Feast of Pentecost, which pointed ahead to Holy Spirit being poured out on the church in Acts 2. They state in their footnote that “The Christian church was born on Pentecost two thousand years ago when the mighty ‘storm’ of the Spirit came into the upper room.” Acts 2 tells us: “Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of wind rushing into the house from out of the heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear! Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that engulfed each one of them.” (‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭2-3‬ ‭TPT‬‬) In a footnote regarding these verses, the Passion translators state: “This was the pillar of fire that led Israel from bondage into the promised land. The same pillar of fire manifested here to initiate a new beginning from dead religious structures into the powerful life of the Spirit. Each believer received an overpowering flame of fire, signified by the shaft of light that engulfed them. It was as though each one received his own personal pillar of fire that would empower him and lead him throughout his life. This was the promise Jesus gave to His disciples of ‘the one like me’ (John 14:26), who would be sent by the Father and never leave them. Today every believer is indwelt by the Spirit of Christ.” If that doesn’t make you wanna shout some hallelujahs, I don’t know what would. Israel’s supernatural “guidance pillars” now indwell us in the person of the Holy Spirit. Patriot Adams knew Holy Spirit was assisting America in her quest for freedom, and He is helping us today regain our true freedom and purpose. Keep praying, church; we have Scripture - and history - on our side. “Heaven shall never abandon us.” Pray with me: Father, sin and rebellion often lead to depravity and insanity. Some of America’s leaders want to ban Your influence in our government. We also have depraved leaders who don’t know the difference between men and women, want to see babies killed, children mutilated, Your Word mocked, Your marriage covenant defiled, and common sense outlawed. Many “became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:21-22). Our nation has sown the wind and is reaping the whirlwind (Hosea 8:7). And yet, You are rich in mercy (Ephesians 2:4), and love to redeem. We approach You now based on the redemptive power of the blood of Jesus. In the greatest story ever told, our Creator has become our Redeemer. We ask that His blood continue to cleanse our nation from sin, its resulting depravity, and the curse of insanity. Cleanse our hearts and heal our minds. Restore us to You, and thereby to truth and life. And as Founding Father Samuel Adams referenced, we ask You for the cloud by day and pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21). We need Holy Spirit’s guidance in our personal lives, and our nation needs them. Bring His glory and fire to our government, releasing these guiding forces into the White House, the halls of Congress, and the Supreme Court. Flow down from these “heads” of our government to every facet of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. “We have appealed to heaven for the justice of our cause, and in heaven we have placed our trust.”(3) We will not doubt, and we will not stop doing so until our nation is ablaze with revival and being reformed by truth. And in Jesus’ name we seal this. Amen.   17. https://www.givehim15.com/post/june-8-2026 June 8, 2026 “Consecrate the Court” In 1988, I heard Holy Spirit say, “Study the watchman concept of prayer.” I had studied the subject prior to this, taught on it, and was pretty familiar with the concept. Yet I had a strong, immediate impression that I was missing something. I obeyed Holy Spirit’s prompting and, indeed, there was more to the subject than I had previously seen. I discovered that the watchman concept of prayer is not just defensive and protective; it also has an offensive or aggressive aspect. I found that the Hebrew words for watchmen are also translated “to lay siege, blockade,”(1) “spy,”(2) and “ambush,”(3) in order to conquer cities or people (see Judges 1:24; 2 Samuel 11:16; Isaiah 1:8; Jeremiah 4:17; Psalm 56:6; 71:10). The reason these words are used in this manner is because all of the actions involve “watching.” When I saw this and began praying for greater insight, I heard Holy Spirit say the following: “I am about to release revelation to the praying church that will enable them to deliver individuals, cities, regions, and nations for Me. New strategies, concepts, and movements will emerge; discernment of satan’s strongholds will be given, and prayer sieges will begin that eventually end his hold over nations, regions, and people. “This will be broad in scope, with strategies and actions disseminated through many different ministries/organizations. I will give an assignment to one person or ministry, while simultaneously assigning another part to others. At times, they will not even realize they’re part of a larger strategy. I will orchestrate all of the efforts in order to lay sieges in the spirit realm, cutting off satan’s ‘supply lines’ - sins and iniquities that have given him access. I’ll close these entry points, cleansing from sins that have enabled him to hold places in captivity. Through the anointing of Holy Spirit, My intercessors will discern strategies and conduct prayer sieges of cities and nations.” In 1988, very little was known or spoken of regarding solemn assemblies, prayer walking, prayer journeys, spiritual mapping, identificational repentance, reconciliation ceremonies between races and people groups, etc. I am sure understanding of them existed in a few people’s thinking, but most of the body of Christ had never heard of them. I am relatively certain that some of these concepts weren’t spoken of at all. At the time, I knew of only a couple of ministries that existed primarily for prayer purposes, and there weren’t many books on the subject of intercession. Since then, however, literally millions of believers around the world have come to understand these aspects of prayer, and have learned to pray more effectively. The learning curve in the prayer movement shot up exponentially: Dozens of prayer ministries have been launched, thousands of prayer groups have formed, and millions of believers are interceding effectively. Dr. C. Peter Wagner, one of the leaders and fathers of this movement in the 1990’s and early 2000’s, once happily stated, “The prayer movement around the world is out of control.” Certainly, we have not yet “arrived” in our understanding of prayer, but we’ve moved forward at a rapid pace. This understanding and related activities are due to the revelation God began releasing to the church at the end of the 1980s. While much has been accomplished, we must always remember that prayer sieges for cities and nations can take years, even decades, to accomplish their purposes. Perseverance is non-negotiable. The prayers we release are part of dismantling centuries-old, sometimes millennia-old, strongholds of darkness. Also, millions of hearts and minds - traditions, cultural paradigms, even religious beliefs - must be changed. Spiritual transformation doesn’t occur simply because God “finally decides” to create it; it occurs when people’s actions and the conditions in a region make it possible. And those conditions are created, in part, through prayer sieges. Our prayers are accomplishing much; they’re absolutely shaping history. Blockades have been placed in the spiritual realm against satan’s activities; sieges are occurring and accomplishing their purposes. The Courts One of the places where this has occurred, and continues to take place, is the Supreme Court of America. Millions of believers in America have been part of this prayer siege; I began praying for a transformation and turnaround of our Supreme Court in the 1990s. We have made progress. Another individual the Lord has called to focus on the Court is my good friend, Phillip Jauregui, president of Judicial Action Group. Though living in Alabama, he spends a substantial amount of time in Washington, D.C., reviewing, researching, and working to place only the best judges and justices in our federal courts. Phillip has worked on hundreds of judicial nominations over the past 20 years, including several United States Supreme Court justices. Not only is Phillip an attorney, but he is also a man of prayer. For years, God has motivated him to pray for the Supreme Court’s transformation. In 2017, the Lord began speaking to Phillip in a unique way regarding the Court, comparing it to the prodigal son in Scripture. That download from heaven has now become an incredible book - written in layman’s terms, not legalese - filled with insights regarding how we can pray for the Supreme Court. It was my great honor to write the foreword to this book, The Parable of the Prodigal Court. Phillip also hosts a prayer gathering in D.C. for the High Court each year, on the first day of its new session. The Lord gave him the phrase “Consecrate the Court.” I join him each year for this very strategic gathering, which will take place this year on October 5-6 at The Museum of the Bible. YOU birthed America and our government. YOU instituted all government. Bring the Court back under YOUR plans, purposes, precepts, and laws. We dedicate the Supreme Court to YOU and ask that You change all that needs changing. Fill this branch of government and its building with Your presence once again. We ask all of this in the holy and all-powerful name of Yeshua. Amen.   18. https://www.givehim15.com/post/may-28-2026 May 28, 2026 Don’t Go to Sleep on the Job With the astonishing number of attempts to assassinate President Trump, the body of Christ MUST be faithful in our prayers for him, his family, and staff. This post is a teaching on prayer for protection, not only for leaders, but for anyone. PAGA Interestingly, one of the meanings of the Hebrew word for “intercession,” paga, is “boundary” or “border,” the point at which two territories meet or connect.(1) Paga is used repeatedly this way in Joshua 19. For example, Joshua 19:11 states that Zebulon’s “border went up toward the sea, and Maralah, and reached to (paga) Dabbasheth, and reached to (paga) the river that is before Jokneam.” This use of paga continues throughout the chapter. When used in the context of intercessory prayer, paga refers to establishing boundaries, perimeters, or walls of protection. Through prayer, we can build shields, boundaries, and walls of protection around people and places. Isaiah 26:1 and 60:18 speak of God’s protection as “walls”: “In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: ‘We have a strong city; He sets up walls and ramparts for security.” “Violence will not be heard again in your land, nor devastation or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls salvation, and your gates praise.” Zechariah 2:5 speaks of protective walls of fire: “For I,’ declares the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’” Supernatural protection occurs daily through consistent prayer, but also at strategic times as intercessors are sensitive to the promptings of Holy Spirit. He alerts us to pray for others in critical times of need. These alerts from the Holy Spirit can come in various ways: a sense of foreboding, an uneasiness concerning someone, a dream or vision, or simply by hearing Him alert us to pray for someone. The Holy Spirit speaks of these alerts in Ephesians 6:18, a passage regarding spiritual warfare: “With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.” Most readers assume this verse is telling us to pray all the time. However, it is not, nor would that be possible. The word “times” is the Greek word kairos, which means “strategic or opportune time.”(2) God is saying that, in light of the spiritual warfare always occurring on earth, we must be alert for satan’s attacks - both for ourselves and for others. When warned of these kairos, strategically timed attacks, we must pray! When we pray, God will intervene. Hebrews 4:16 also uses this word for strategic timing, kairos, in the context of prayer: “Let us come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time [kairos] of need.” Without question, we are welcome at God’s throne of grace at all times, but this verse refers to strategic times of need. The Amplified Translation makes this clear, stating that if we pray at these times, we will “Find His amazing grace to help in time of need, an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment.” The Hebrew counterpart to the Greek word kairos is eth, which also means “strategic time.” Used in Psalm 9:9, God tells us He is “a stronghold in times [eths] of trouble.”(3) This and the above verses tell us to pray at strategic times of trouble or spiritual attacks, and receive the help we need. The late Evangelist, Oral Roberts, told of experiencing this type of the Holy Spirit’s intervention during a kairos-timed attack against his family: “After ministering at a conference over a thousand miles away from home, Oral had gone to bed in his hotel when he was suddenly awakened and heard these words, ‘Your wife and children in Tulsa are in serious danger. Pray.’ He spent time in deep intercession for his family until he finally felt the burden lift. When he returned home to Tulsa, his wife, Evelyn, told him that one night, after she and the children had gone to bed, she heard someone trying to break into their home. Paralyzed with fright, she had been unable to do anything other than to pray for God's help and for Oral to be alerted to pray for them. “Thankfully, the intruder left without ever entering the house. As they compared their experiences, the Robertses realized that Oral had been awakened and alerted to pray at the exact time that Evelyn had heard the intruder.”(4) That is a kairos attack - and a kairos answer - to paga prayer! Walls or boundaries of protection were established through intercession, and God's promise of protection was fulfilled. Never assume that a warning such as this is just your imagination. Engage your faith in God’s protection and pray! Ephesians 6:18, the verse mentioned above that tells us to pray at all kairos times, also urges us to be “watching” for one another. This word (agrupneo) means literally to “stay awake.”(5) Just as “praying always” does not mean we have to pray 24/7, this word doesn’t mean we should never sleep! It is a parabolic way of saying we must remain alert, just as an awake sentry or night watchman would do. We have all heard the phrase “don’t go to sleep on the job,” which means the same thing. This passage in Ephesians is telling us we must be alert, watching for one another. As we do so, Holy Spirit will faithfully do as He said: alert us to the kairos attacks of the enemy. Pray with me: Father, Your Word tells us that if we are alert, Holy Spirit will warn us of spiritual attacks and strategic times when urgent prayers of protection are needed. Of course, we can and should dwell in the secret place of protection daily (Psalm 91), but we can also be alerted to imminent danger to ourselves or others. We ask You for high levels of discernment and sensitivity to these alerts, for our families, friends, leaders, and others. We will be faithful to pray during these times, building walls, boundaries, and perimeters of protection around ourselves and others. We declare that as we do so, no weapon formed against them or us will prosper. This is our heritage as family members of the Most High God (Isaiah 54:17). We pray today for our President, his family, and team. We ask for spiritual walls/boundaries of protection to be placed around them, shielding them from every attack waged against them. Give all the supernatural help needed to those assigned to protect them, and also to those charged with uncovering evil plots. And give us intercessors keen ears to hear when strategic prayer is needed. All this we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.   19. https://www.givehim15.com/post/may-27-2026 May 27, 2026 Satan’s Plans Will Backfire While praying for President Trump and his team regarding the situation in Iran, including the issues related to the Strait of Hormuz, the Holy Spirit reminded me of a passage of Scripture in Exodus. We will go there momentarily. But first, some context regarding the Iranian situation. Some feel that the financial hardships created throughout the world by the Iranians’ shutdown of the Strait, followed by Trump’s decision to blockade it entirely, created a trap for the President. While this is greatly damaging Iran’s economy, it is also temporarily hurting America’s, as well. And though we have all but destroyed the Iranian military and its former leaders, those now in control are in hiding and don’t seem to care how much the economic woes hurt the Iranian people. They believe Trump is trapped in a difficult, no-win situation, and the longer they wait, the more leverage they have. With the midterms approaching, the Dems and liberal media are using these economic woes and the seeming stalemate to hurt Trump and the Republicans as much as possible. Sadly, they hate Trump more than they love America. Now, to the passage I believe the Lord led me to. In the Bible, Baal-Zephon was one of the gods in the Baal “family,” and was also a geographical location that served as the backdrop for one of the most famous events in the Old Testament: the parting of the Red Sea (Exodus 14). Beneath the surface of the story lies a fascinating layer of revelations. Here is a breakdown of what Baal-Zephon means, where it was, and why it matters. The Meaning of the Name Baal means “Lord” or “Master.”(1) Baal-Zephon literally translates as “Lord of the North.”(2) It originates from a word meaning “hidden,” and from this meaning carries a symbolic meaning of “dark.”(3) Baal-Zephon was considered the “master of the sea and storms,” among other things. The geographic place named after him was considered the sacred mountain and home of this Canaanite storm god. Because Baal-Zephon was revered as a protector of maritime trade and a master of the sea and storms, Canaanite and Phoenician sailors established sanctuaries dedicated to him along the Mediterranean coast—even at the borders of Egypt. The Biblical Context - The Ultimate Trap Baal-Zephon is mentioned three times in the Bible (Exodus 14:2, Exodus 14:9, and Numbers 33:7). During the Exodus, in what seemed like a very unwise move, God commanded Moses to have the Israelites turn back and camp by this high place of Baal-Zephon, putting them in a very strategic bottleneck: “Tell the Israelites to turn back and encamp near Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea. They are to encamp by the sea, directly opposite Baal-Zephon,” (Exodus 14:2). By placing the Israelites here, God deliberately made them look trapped. To Pharaoh, it appeared that the wilderness and sea had hemmed them in, and his army cornered them right in front of Baal-Zephon. The Showdown In ancient Canaanite theology, the Canaanites believed Baal’s crowning achievement was defeating “Yam,” whose name means “the sea.” Yam had been known as the former strong god of the sea.”(4) The Canaanites believed Baal-Zephon had conquered him and asserted his lordship over the waters from his seat on Mount Zephon. By staging the climax of Israel’s exodus directly in front of Baal-Zephon's sanctuary, Yahweh was issuing a direct challenge on Baal’s home court. Pharaoh assumed that because the Israelites were cornered by the sea at Baal-Zephon’s doorstep, the “Lord of the Sea” would hand Egypt the victory. Instead, Yahweh split the sea, led Israel through on dry land, and swallowed Pharaoh’s army in the waves. The Lord used this narrative to show that the Canaanite storm god was entirely powerless on his own turf. It demonstrated to both the Israelites and the Egyptians that Yahweh—not Baal—was the true master of the wind, the storm, and the sea. The Lord showed me a parallel between this showdown and what is occurring today with Iran. It appears that circumstances have perhaps allowed the evil powers behind Iran’s leaders to trap Trump and his advisors: end the conflict quickly–even if it means compromise–or lose the midterms. I believe God has other plans, and our prayers for the President can release the Lord’s turnaround, just as He did with Zephon. Psalm 7:14-16, in the NLT says, “The wicked conceive evil; they are pregnant with trouble and give birth to lies. They dig a deep pit to trap others, then fall into it themselves. The trouble they make for others backfires on them. The violence they plan falls on their own heads.” What a great promise! The Passion Translation explains these three verses: “Look how the wicked conceive their evil schemes. They go into labor with their lies and give birth to trouble. They dig a pit for others to fall into, not knowing that they will be the very ones who will fall into it. Every pit-digger who works to trap and harm others will be trapped by his own treachery.” I believe the Lord wants us to pray these particular verses over the situation in Iran. Civic leaders are not supposed to have to govern in their own strength and wisdom. God helps the righteous. Let’s ask that the trap the enemy has planned for President Trump backfires, that satan’s allies fall into the pit they have dug, and are trapped by their own treachery. Pray that evil powers are exposed in Iran–and the Strait of Hormuz–just as they were at the Red Sea. And ask the Lord to give our President, his negotiators, and all his advisors supernatural insight and wisdom. Let’s do so now. Pray with me: Father, satan and his cohorts are no match for You. You are the Lord of the seas, winds, and storms. Baal is a counterfeit god, an idol. The “prince of Persia” (Daniel 10) is under Your feet. Today, we pray that Psalm 7:14-16 is fulfilled before the world. As this Psalm says, cause evil leaders and the powers of darkness to fall into the pit they have dug. Cause their plans to backfire, and the violence they plan falls on their own heads. Cause them to be trapped by their own treachery. We declare that no weapon formed against righteous decisions regarding Iran will prosper! We continue to believe that You have plans for an epochal revival in the Middle East, and that Iran is to play a significant role. We call for this–and the above turnaround–to come forth in the name of Jesus!   20. https://www.givehim15.com/post/may-26-2026 May 26, 2026 We All Need a Barnabas In asking for the Lord’s guidance regarding today’s post, my mind kept being drawn to Barnabas, Paul’s traveling companion for a few years. His given name was Joseph, but he was nicknamed by the church, Barnabas, meaning “son of encouragement.” It is telling that perhaps the greatest of the early church apostles needed an encourager by his side. Here is a brief summary of Barnabas’ ministry life: He was a Levite from Cyprus, nicknamed “son of encouragement” by the apostles (Acts 4:36). Radical Generosity (Acts 4:37): He was the man who sold a field he owned and brought the money to the apostles to support the church in Jerusalem. He was an advocate for Paul (Acts 9): When Paul (formerly Saul) first came to Jerusalem after his conversion, the disciples were afraid of him. Barnabas risked his reputation to vouch for Paul, introducing him to the apostles and recounting Paul’s conversion experience. Leader in Antioch (Acts 11): Sent by the Jerusalem church to investigate the growing church in Antioch, Barnabas recognized God’s grace on them and encouraged the new believers. He was described in Acts 11 as a “good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith,” which resulted in many people being added to the Lord. Mentored Paul (Acts 11-13): Barnabas went to Tarsus to find Paul, bringing him to Antioch, where they taught for a full year. The two were sent out by the church in Antioch on the first missionary journey (Acts 13:2-3). Missionary Journey (Acts 14-15): On their mission to Cyprus and Asia Minor, together they faced intense persecution. The Split (Acts 15): A “sharp disagreement” arose between Paul and Barnabas regarding taking John Mark, Barnabas’ young cousin, on a second missionary journey, as Mark had abandoned them previously. They separated, with Barnabas taking Mark to Cyprus while Paul took Silas and went elsewhere. The book of Acts continues to focus on Paul, but acknowledges Barnabas’ continued, faithful work. Barnabas, true to his nickname, took John Mark and spent time discipling him. This process was so effective that, years later, Paul specifically asked for John Mark to come and help him, as Mark had matured to the point of being needed by Paul in his ministry once again (2 Timothy 4:11). The Lord chose not to tell us the details of Paul’s and Barnabas’ disagreement. It would seem, however, that it was likely the strength of each one’s gift that prompted the opposing viewpoints. Paul’s intense, pioneer spirit lent itself to a more “no nonsense and less patience with immaturity” attitude. Barnabas’s heart of mercy and willingness to come alongside others motivated him. God blessed them both, however. Each was successful in his subsequent ministry, even after separating for a season. And Mark certainly matured into a very needed person in the church. Perhaps both giftings were necessary to mature Mark: Paul’s stern, no-compromise approach, and Barnabas’ ability to see the potential in others and cultivate it. As we know, all strengths come with antithetical weaknesses, and two different perspectives can both have elements of truth. No one’s gift or perspective is always 100% right. “He who is without sin (or weakness) among you, cast the first stone” (John 8:7) is applicable, not just for the Pharisees in Christ’s day, but for all of us. Ouch..! My purpose today is to remind all of us to be grateful for the Barnabases in our lives, and to take advantage of every opportunity to encourage someone. It could be a person who showed you patience when you were not in a place of strength or purity, someone who took the time to nurture or mentor you, or perhaps a parent who faithfully loved and stood by you. I suppose the list could be endless. But God placed such a high priority on encouragement that He highlighted “the son of encouragement” several times in Scripture. We should prioritize it, also. If the Lord brings someone to mind, pray for them today. Perhaps send them a text or card, maybe make a phone call. Remember, no one achieves success without help. It is also worth remembering that one of the meanings of “appreciate” is “to increase in value,” [Webster’s Dictionary] as a house or precious gem might do. Allow the value of others to appreciate, to increase, in your heart. And tell them. Pray with me: Lord, You take note when we demonstrate gratitude and appreciation for those who have encouraged us on our journey; You also do so when we encourage others. Thank You for the example of Barnabas and his desire to lift up others. We thank You today for those who have done so in our lives. The compassionate message, the phone call when we needed it, the “you’re gonna make it” when it seemed there was no way, the smile from a stranger–thank You for them all. Remind us to appreciate–give value to–others. Also, remind us to give grace to those with whom we disagree whenever possible. Help us to look through the lens of compassion and see their perspective. While we are told in Your Word not to tolerate evil, we can still love and pray for those with whom we don’t agree, including our enemies. And we ask You to give us more Barnabases, those who specialize in this wonderful gift of encouragement. The world needs more of them. All of this we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen. The title is: Inspiration from Billy Graham and Dwight Eisenhower As Americans celebrate Memorial Day Weekend with barbecues and baseball games, parades and parties, which are all appropriate, it is imperative that we also spend focused time remembering the purpose for this special day – namely, to honor the sacrifices of the military fallen and their families. Today is the 55th commemoration of Memorial Day in the 250th year of our beloved country’s exceptional history. As such, I thought it would be appropriate to glean wisdom about the meaning of this noteworthy day from the relationship between one of America’s greatest preachers and greatest presidents. Billy Graham and Dwight Eisenhower enjoyed a close friendship that spanned multiple decades.(1) On one occasion in 1955, President Eisenhower allowed Reverend Graham to join him on a tour of Gettysburg, the battlefield that turned the tide in the Civil War. This experience made an immediate and significant impact on Graham. Three weeks later, while in Boston, Graham delivered a speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. While this address was delivered several years before Memorial Day became an official federal holiday in 1971, Graham’s sentiments are spot-on. The following are excerpts I have compiled from his original message. Rev. Graham’s eloquence and insights are timeless. His speech is just as relevant in 2026 as it was when delivered in 1955, precisely because it enlightens us to the cost of liberty paid for by the precious lives of the men and women in our Armed Forces, going all the way back to 1776. Today, we remember the ultimate sacrifice American warfighters have made from the Halls of Montezuma to the Shores of Tripoli, from the encampments at Valley Forge to the open fields and rocky hills at Gettysburg, from the Forest of Argonne to the beaches of Normandy, from North Korea’s Chosin Reservoir to the jungles of Vietnam, and from the alluvial plain of Iraq to the mountains of Afghanistan. We also pay homage to the service members recently lost in Operation Epic Fury. As President Lincoln charged us in the Gettysburg Address, may the memory of the fallen always inspire us: Pray with me: Heavenly Father, You have seen the sacrifice of every one of the fallen. Every man. Every woman. You see the tears of every friend, every spouse, every parent, every child, and family member who has lost a loved one in service to our country. Not one moment in battle has escaped Your attention. You are intimately aware of each dying breath and as President Lincoln stated so eloquently, the last full measure of devotion that was given. For our own hearts, Lord, we ask that You impart to us a deep gratitude for the great cloud of witnesses who’ve paid a price so we can live in a land of liberty. Gina draws strong prophetic insight from the life of the great warrior Caleb, applying it to our nation today. I know you will be encouraged by this teaching. The title is: We’ve Come Too Far to Stop Now In Joshua 14, having journeyed hard and long, holding to a promise from God, the people of Israel finally stood in the land for which they had been striving. Their long journey had been marked by many experiences that proved God was with them and fighting for them. Every step they took had been necessary to position them in that place at that moment; past obedience had contributed to their present reality. Their courageous leap of faith in following the priests as they carried the Ark of the Covenant across the Jordan River, followed by victories at Jericho and elsewhere, had placed them at a momentous juncture. And Caleb recognized it. The land that had once been just a dream was now tangible soil under their feet. Though it was connected to a promise that had long eluded them, they were there now, and this shifted everything. It was a moment worthy of celebration, but also one that demanded a shift in focus. They now needed a deeper resolve to carry on with God’s will and intentions. They had come a long way, but were not finished. God had made them a promise, and that promise was not just that they would take a portion of the land. It was that they would possess the entire land and leave it as an inheritance for the next generation. Caleb had followed God faithfully. Even when others failed to believe, he stood firm in his faith. Regardless of how impossible things appeared, he knew God’s hand was upon them, and He would enable them to possess what He said they could have. Now, the time had come to take his portion of the land, to go forward and do what was necessary to fully occupy his inheritance. So, Caleb adjusted his focus and declared, “I was forty years old when God and Moses made me that promise. Now it’s forty-five years later, and I’m still here! Give me my mountain!” (Joshua 14:6-15). Caleb knew that possessing his mountain meant he would have to face giants, but he wasn’t concerned; he was convinced of the promise! He understood the significance of that moment. Possession of that land was of utmost importance. He had come too far to stop now. This was a make-or-break moment. And what was about to unfold wasn’t just about an old man receiving a reward for his past obedience; his actions in that moment would determine what was passed on to the next generation. Failure to move forward would not only result in the forfeiture of his full inheritance, but also deny the next generation the future and inheritance God intended for them. If this is not a picture of where we are now as a nation–including the church, I don’t know what is. We’re at a pivotal moment. We have come a long way, experiencing God’s faithfulness as we’ve obediently followed His leading and contended for His promise that “America shall be saved.” Though the journey has been long and at times, the promise has seemed far away, we are now seeing breakthrough! Much is happening; prayers are being answered, and change is occurring. It’s undeniable, and we stand in awe of God! It is truly a moment worthy of celebration! But God’s promise was not just that we see a breakthrough; the promise is that America shall be saved. The promise is that we will experience another great awakening that will transform our nation and the world. Some of us, like Caleb, have committed to this journey. We have taken our place and followed the Lord as faithfully as we’ve known how. We have believed and held fast to His Word, and now we’re witnessing the undeniable fulfillment of God’s promises. We’ve accomplished and seen a lot, but we’re not finished. There are still mountains to possess and battles to be won. We must move forward with deepened resolve, overcoming any remaining obstacles, so that we leave the next generation a spiritual inheritance laced with God’s power and faithfulness. We must focus on the future, hear Yahweh’s new instructions, and continue to partner with Him as He works through us to finish what He started. I heard the Lord recently say, “You have entered a set moment in which a convergence of times, words, dreams, and assignments is creating an updraft of My wind, causing a release, a deluge of the rain of My Spirit! As you have worked with Me in prayer, I have worked through your prayers and decrees, which have been prompted by My Spirit. The rivers are now being widened to receive the rain and make way for an increased, unstoppable flow of My power and glory…for such a time as this!” The necessary actions have been taken and are now coming into alignment. Like tumblers in a locking mechanism, once the key is inserted and turned, everything falls into place. This opens the door, revealing the purpose and opportunities waiting on the other side. Now, the door is open, and we stand on the threshold of this nation’s redemption. We didn’t retreat; we’re still here, and have come too far to stop now. Empowered by Holy Spirit, we must fix our eyes on Jesus, go through the door, and boldly advance with God’s direction and purposes. Pray with me: Father, the undeniable evidence of Your powerful workings surrounds us, and we stand in awe of You. We are in a history-making moment. We have called to You, and You have answered. We have followed You as You have led us. We’ve seen You do too much to doubt You now! Your promise is that America shall be saved, and as we move toward that reality, we choose to focus forward, partnering with You as You work through us to heal and redeem our land. We refuse to leave the next generation an inheritance of unfulfilled promises! We step into the flow of Your power and glory that is being poured out. The situation in Iran keeps coming to mind today. I feel a strong need to pray for President Trump and his team that they make wise, sound decisions. As the President weighs his options, I am praying that God’s wisdom and will are clearly discerned. I am very confident that the situation in Iran is significant regarding the coming spiritual harvest, as well as having obvious international implications and affecting the mood of the American people. It is a challenging situation, and there is only one person with enough wisdom and knowledge to navigate the situation perfectly: God. The Iranians who have been leading that nation are beyond corrupt; they are evil and controlled by evil spirits. It is doubtful that any decent leaders there have enough authority to bring about the changes needed, or the authority to negotiate in good faith. Trump and his team know this, and are weighing options. Meanwhile, it seems that those on the Left in our government are more interested in politicizing the war than winning it. Shockingly, their hatred of Trump is greater than their love of America. The Left’s motives in this situation are as obvious as in their fight against appropriate voter IDs, the deportation of illegal criminals, and stopping fraud. They live for power. As many Americans now know, Trump is fighting more than evil throughout the world; he is fighting it at home. Also, many of our leaders don’t have the backbone to do what is necessary regarding Iran; our government has foolishly tried to buy peace with them for decades, thereby funding their terrorism and nuclear ambitions! We must pray that righteous leaders, including our President, consistently outmaneuver the Leftists and Marxists now entrenched in our nation. Humility and dependence on God are paramount in order for this to occur. Presumption can be deadly, as can be seen in the book of Joshua. In Joshua 7, Israel had just returned from Jericho, one of their most remarkable victories. This impregnable city was defeated, not with weapons, skill, or a great battle plan. It was defeated by obeying God’s instructions: marching around the city with priests carrying the ark of the covenant, blowing shofars, and shouting. After Jericho, confidence was high - the taking of Canaan was going to be a piece of cake. The next city they faced was small and insignificant Ai (yes, this was the actual name of the city). No need to seek God’s guidance for this one, just send a few spies to check it out and tell them what to do. But not checking in with the “Captain” meant not receiving His alert about a problem–there was sin in Israel. Some of the spoils of Jericho, which were all supposed to go into God’s treasury, had been stolen. The result? God’s favor was not on them, and the small group of soldiers Israel sent to take Ai was routed. Thirty-six men were killed. After great victories or accomplishments, it is easy for self-confidence to replace an awareness of our need for divine help. This can be incredibly subtle, happening at the subconscious level. Satan is always waiting for such a kairos time to attack. We need God’s help as much at our Ai’s as we do our Jericho’s. Pray that our godly leaders in D.C. always remember this and “Do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God” (Micah 6:8). And pray that they and President Trump have ears to hear when they ask for the Lord’s wisdom–whether directly, through a dream, or from another individual. Pray also that weariness and distractions will not hinder this process. I cannot even imagine the workload of the President, nor the weight of his responsibilities. Ask that God will bring confusion and failure to the evil leaders of Iran, and that they would be overthrown. Pray that the demonic input given to them fails in its goals. Ask that wise strategies to overcome evil are given to those who would lead with wisdom and grace, and who care for the people of Iran. And pray for the people who are suffering greatly. Pray with me: Father, we pray for President Trump and his team today as they make decisions regarding Iran. Give them Your thoughts and wisdom as they make weighty, far-reaching decisions. Let no trap of the enemy succeed in leading them into wrong actions, or an inappropriate self-confidence. Keep them aware that they always need Your guidance and help. When we abide in You, Your Word says that if we walk into a trap, angels will be there to keep us from stumbling ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭91‬:‭12‬ ‭TPT‬‬). We pray this for President Trump. And we pray that the rebellious, wicked leaders in Iran would be dealt with appropriately. Your Word says in Psalm 68:6 that “For the rebels there is heartache and despair.” We ask that You remove the rebels and end their reign of terror. Cause them to make errors in their planning, strategic mistakes that lead to their downfall. We bind the powers of darkness that are leading them and controlling the nation, in Jesus’ name. And we pray for the people of Iran. Free them from tyranny and send an earth-shaking revival. Do this for the entire Middle East. All of this we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen. Like it or not, the actions of those in authority affect all of us. ‘When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn’ (Proverbs 29:2). Untold numbers of curses and judgments have been visited on entire nations through the decisions of government leaders. Roe vs Wade is but one example. “But don’t forget the first half of the verse: ‘When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice!!!!’ God-honoring decisions by government leaders release the blessings of heaven on a nation. President Trump reading God’s Word over our nation released great power; his rededication and welcoming of God into our land Sunday were profoundly important. The heavens shifted over our nation on that day.” The famous “If my people…” verse (2 Chronicles 7:14), read by our President recently and replayed at Sunday’s Rededication event, was first stated by God in response to a government leader, King Solomon’s prayer of dedication. His authority as the leader of the nation gave him the right to interact with God on behalf of the nation. Again, the prayers of our leaders are very significant. All of us present could sense a great weight on the prayer of Speaker Johnson this past Sunday. America’s Constitution The creation of the greatest constitution in world history was possible only because the delegates to the Continental Convention asked for God’s help in shaping it. The Americans had prevailed against the British, but were nearly defeated from within by very sharply divided opinions on how the new nation should be governed. State’s rights versus Federal power, fair representation for all states - especially those less populated, and other issues were creating great impasses. For days, they struggled with no breakthrough. Would the new nation survive? There had been concern over these differences before the gathering even began, including by George Washington, president of the Convention. He was gravely concerned but indicated that he had placed his trust in God, stating to a friend at the beginning of the meeting, “…the event is in the hands of God.”(1) Yet during the convention itself, the delegates neglected to corporately humble themselves and ask for God’s help. When the struggle reached a desperate point, Benjamin Franklin stood and referenced God’s “superintending providence” in bringing the nation to liberty: “To that kind providence we owe this happy opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future national felicity. And have we now forgotten that powerful Friend? Or do we imagine we no longer need His assistance?” he asked. “I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth – that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? “We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings, that ‘except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.’ I firmly believe this, and I also believe that without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building, no better than the builders of Babel… “I, therefore, beg leave to move - that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of heaven, and its blessing on our deliberations, be held in this Assembly every morning before we proceed to business, and that one or more of the clergy of this city be requested to officiate in that service.”(2) The request was approved, prayers were offered daily, breakthrough occurred, and our Constitution was born. God not only wants government leaders to be prayed for, but He also wants government leaders to pray! The Lord desired to oversee the fashioning of our government, but He couldn’t do so until they prayed and asked. This past Sunday, leaders from both our Executive and Legislative branches asked for His help. And I’m very sure there were people from the Judicial branch praying throughout the nation. This was and will be honored. People misinterpret - and some twist - the intent of the Establishment Clause in the First Amendment to the Constitution. It states in part, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” This is interpreted by many as meaning: Keep God out of our government. It is more than just ironic that the document they refer to was successfully written only by asking for His help; it is insane. Our Founders referenced God 4 times in the Declaration of Independence and sought His help daily as they wrote our Constitution. It is wise and right that we are asking for His aid in our government once again. One final word about involving God in our nation. Looking at Israel in the Old Testament for examples shows us that their national days of rededication were not religious rituals, but rather days of relational connection. Our great God is our Father, Abba (Romans 8:14; Galatians 4:6). Our gracious Savior is our Friend (John 5:13-15). Father God wants His kids to partner with Him, not serve Him out of fear or cut deals to get His help. Our Redeemer wants His ekklesia to represent Him, sharing His authority. As Ben Franklin stated in the above appeal, He is our “powerful Friend”. Selah - pause and consider that. Pray with me: Father, as we learn Your ways, our ability to work with You increases. Last Sunday, Heaven and earth met in a harmonious agreement, not only in Washington, D.C., but all across our land. I’m confident that it was a pleasure for You. You may have even done as Zephaniah declared: “Don’t let your heart be discouraged. Yahweh, your God, is inside you. He is the Warrior-Savior who takes such delight in you that it will make Him leap for joy and shout with great gladness. Yes, He will soothe you with His love. He will sing over you His song of praise” ‭‭(Zephaniah‬ ‭3:16-17). The Message translation says: “Dear Zion, don’t despair. Your God is present among you, a strong Warrior there to save you. Happy to have you back, He’ll calm you with His love and delight you with His songs.” We sensed Your delight Sunday, “powerful Friend”; we felt Your embrace, Abba. Your prodigal nation is returning to You. Now, please expedite the restoration with a Third Great Awakening. Send the powerful wind of Holy Spirit to our land, and of course, to the nations of the earth. In Yeshua’s name, amen. In Joshua 10, the army of Israel was defending the Gibeonites, a people under attack and with whom they were in covenant. To finish this task and fully defeat the enemy, Israel needed to act before darkness set in, which was approaching quickly. So Joshua took audacious action: “Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, ‘Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.”’ (Joshua 10:12 KJV) And God answered this inaccurate prayer! We know it wasn’t actually the sun that needed to stand still, but rather the earth, in order for this incredible miracle to occur. The Earth’s rotation causes day and night, not the sun’s. When Joshua asked for the sun to stand still, one can almost hear an angel or two respond, “Well, we can’t answer that prayer.” To which the Lord evidently responded, “Give him a break! You know what he wants - give him more daylight!” Joshua received what he needed, not what he asked for. I’m glad that we don’t have to ask perfectly in order for God to answer. To pray against satan’s lies from succeeding, we don’t need to know the exact lie. To pray against assassination attempts of leaders, we don’t have to know which leader or when it might occur. To pray against the influence of demons over individuals, we aren’t required to know all the details. And to rededicate a nation to God, we don’t need perfect prayers from perfect people. Don’t misunderstand me - wonderful prayers were prayed all day long at the Rededication 250 event this past Sunday. I wasn’t able to hear all of them, but those I did hear were heartfelt and sincere. Granted, I don’t pray like Catholics, Jewish Rabbis, or even many in the evangelical world; for some reason, God seems to hear them! Cornelius wasn’t even born again as yet, when an angel said his prayers had created a memorial before God! And the Lord chose his house in which to begin pouring out His Spirit on the gentile world (Acts 10)!!! Unquestionably, Sunday was momentous and historic. Even more so because those from different spiritual traditions gathered to do the same thing: honor God, worship Him, and rededicate our nation to Him. It confirmed that our prayers have been heard–and continue to be heard. Sunday alone didn’t build a monument to God; it was the capstone. Lou (Engle) and I agreed that this was one of those rare times when what was needed was accomplished just by God’s people showing up. After 30 years of prayer and fasting, then the President of our nation calling for the Rededication - simply showing up sealed the deal - the event itself was simply the capstone on what was built through many years of prayer. Thank you for your part. Thank you to so many of you who participated on Sunday, and who have prayed for our nation for many years. The prayer movement in our nation has epitomized a grassroots movement. There are no “bigshots” in the prayer closets of America; just big hearts. You matter. Keep it up - our appeals are restoring a nation. Pray with me: Father, thank You for looking past our stumbling words and answering our prayers. Thank You for creating a cleansing agent capable of removing all of our sinful stains, whether they be personal or national - the blood of Jesus. Thank You for a President with a heart to honor Your Word OVER our nation, and ask for Your presence IN our nation. And thank You for a President bold enough to do so publicly. Thank You for Sunday - You placed the desire in our President’s heart to convene the gathering, in the hearts of thousands to attend, and millions more to participate online. We know what occurred blessed Your heart, and we are confident You will respond with grace, mercy, and blessing. In the book of Joel, You said that if Israel would conduct a day of rededication to You, that You would respond by lifting the curses they were experiencing, releasing blessing instead, and pour out Your Spirit. We believe You will do no less for us…and we are expectant. All of this we pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
