  1. Several years ago in Southern Georgia there was a big Baptist church that was due a new preacher. The towns people had never seen this man and knew only that he was very dynamic in what ever church he was serving. The Southern Baptist Convention took care of appointments for moving preacher's. His first Sunday was tomorrow and everyone was excited. This church was very beautiful with all its tall cathedral wooden doors and plush interior. The pews had plush padded seats where everyone who attended could sit comfortable. The carpet was thick piled also matching the seats and the pews which also was genuine imported wood and handcrafted. This church had a membership which numbered around 500 or so members. It was used more than any other church for weddings and beautiful bridal settings. This was a tool the head members used as a selling point to gain new members mostly the ones that were some what wealthy. The Sunday finally came for the new preacher to be there and all the members were coming in one after the other even if they hadn't been there for a while, they wanted to see and hear this man preach to see if he was worthy of their church. One of the main deacons pulled into the parking lot and parked right beside the dumpster and inside was a homeless man looking at the door. He was dirty his face looked like it hadn't been washed in months, his cloths were ugly, worn and dirty. The deacon was appalled at the site of the man and told the man to get out and leave before he called the cops. Our new preacher will be here any second and the site of you doesn't need to be seen, here's twenty dollars, now get out of here. The deacon watched as the man got out of the dumpster and went walking down behind the church and then he went inside. The services had started , the piano and organ was playing it's beautiful music while everyone was taking their seats. After everyone was seated the announcements were being read and everyone was quite but still wondering where their new preacher was, for he wasn't there yet. All of a sudden the big tall doors opened and everyone turned around to get their first look at the new preacher but it wasn't him. All the smiles dropped to the floor when they saw the homeless man. Everyone eyes were glued on this man. He stood there looking at their expressions on his raggedy unkept self. Someone in the middle of the church yelled out OMG, "what's that tramp doing in our beautiful church," somebody get him out of here. Everyone was looking at each other to see who was going to be the one to escort this man back out the door. Then someone else hollowed you not welcome here. The piano and organ was quite, no music could be found, everyone was stunned. This raggedy man started his walk down the isle all the while looking at each and every face waiting for more insults. He had a jacket on over a old jump suit. He had on a hat that looked like it came from a trash pile somewhere. He walked with a limp slowly. More insults were coming from both sides of the isle.. He could only look sad as the people one by one insulted him over and over. Their sneer and ugly words cut deep. Two young teens whispered to one another and laughed at him. Finally the man started walking a little faster toward the pulpit while the people were cutting insults. Finally he reached the pulpit and turned around and watched the congregation being so hateful, and then he stretched out his arms in the air and yelled at the top of his voice, "ENOUGH" He said you want me to leave your beautiful church because you think I am not worthy to be here, you have said ugly things about me as I walked down the isle, then he paused for a second and said, "Who are you to judge me". Is it because of my cloths then he took off his hat, is it because of my shoes, then he took them off, is it because I look unfit, then he took off his jacket and then unzipped his jump suit revealing a perfectly clean suit with white shirt and tie. After all this was taken off, there revealed a different man. I am your new preacher Allen Davis and I think it know how Jesus felt while he was alive now. The new preacher begin to preach on the perils and pitfalls of judging one another. It is only God's house if he and all his creation is welcome there. All you have here is a beautiful church but the spirit of God is not here......Look what you have just done. You have went against all his teachings and for what. You looked at me and judged me but what you seen was wrong. You have been deceived by me just like Satan deceives us everyday. The congregation hang their heads in shame for they knew their hearts was wrong. That day they learned that the road they had chosen to take was wrong. It was a lesson well learned. Bro. Davis continued to preach saying, "Judge ye not less ye want to be Judged the same way by my Father in Heaven. It has been said that, that Baptist church took that lesson and moved mountains with it. Bro. Davis continued to preach there over the years and watched his church flourish until he was called home to be with his savior. God used this new preacher to bring the truth to a church that had gone it's weary way away from what God intended. Seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you.......God is going to judge us the same way as we have placed Judgement upon others.
