The Secretary-General of the House of Representatives began reading the names of the winning members. The new deputies flocked this morning to the parliament hall. A video clip, obtained by "Nass" (January 9, 2022), showed footage from inside the parliament hall, showing the moment the members entered, in order to hold the first session of the current session. And the Kurdistan Democratic Party decided to nominate "Shakhwan Abdullah" to the position of second deputy speaker of the parliament. "The decision came in conjunction with the first session of the House of Representatives scheduled to be held today," the correspondent of "Nass" stated. Today, members of the "For the People" coalition decided to go to the House of Representatives, by "Tik-Tik", starting from Tahrir Square in Baghdad. A video clip, obtained by "Nass", showed some of the winning candidates from the Extension and New Generation movement, in addition to some independents riding tik-tuk motorcycles, in order to go to the parliament building to attend the first session of this new session. On the other hand, the winning candidates from the Sadrist movement arrived at the parliament building, wearing shrouds, to attend the first session scheduled for today. The Sadrist movement's media stated, "Members of the Sadrist Parliamentary Bloc are attending the parliament building in preparation for holding the first session of the parliament in its new session, carrying Iraqi flags and wearing shrouds."
