  1. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Pimpy People keep asking me IMO how far do I think we are away from a rate change...even if we started getting on track right now, it's going to be at least 2 years...they still have to stabilize everything. Now that's not to say that all of a sudden one day they might make some kind of announcement and lo and behold the rate changed and I was wrong. That's always possibility but I doubt it..[Post 1 of 2...more to come] *** Tivon Article: "Al-Kazemi's Advisor : The governments measures will support the provision of oil in the markets" He is basically saying the FSL on its own can cover 85% of everything that the budget of the previous years would have if it was approved including the 2022 Budget... if you don't follow anyone else in this investment besides Al-Kazemi...It's Financial Advisor Mazhar Saleh & Deputy Speaker Hakim Al-Zamili... *** RVAlready Oil price is $119.70 per barrel. With Iraq’s low extraction costs, they are raking in the bucks. This means a 2 million barrel supertanker holds about $240,000,000 worth of oil. Nice pocket change. Iraq exports 4.6 million barrels per day, or 2.3 supertankers worth per day, for a daily take of about $550 million per day. A pretty nice haul, at an extraction cost of about 3%. Plenty of profit to go around.
  2. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** BobTheTaxMan Emerging markets are countries that have some characteristics of a developed market but yet not fully developed ...Iraq and Mongolia are the two latest that are moving from a kind of 3rd world status...Iraq is the richest country in the Middle East in terms of having raw materials and educated people. *** Pimpy ...I was listening to news from overseas, the lady was talking about how the IMF and the World Bank have grossly underestimated the GDP growth in Iraq and said that if they formed their government and moved forward in the right way that they would have a much stronger GDP growth. That would be awesome because that's what we want. *** Militiaman Article: "Finance is finalizing the 2022 budget, and good news for lecturers and contracts" There is definitely a push to get the reforms done... The articles all show it to be the case and the world having been involved through the World Bank, IMF, AMF, UST, etc., is and or was the catalyst to push the politic side into high gear or the consequences may have been very dire.
  3. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Militiaman Article: "Al-Jabri informs the religious references in Najaf about the file of food security and high prices globally and locally" Absolutely is a big deal. They have the reserves and in my view it is well over 90 billion they have suggested which is far more than needed to expose the new exchange rate. The Food Security Law and 2022 Budget Law are synonymous, and yes, they both need the rate just as the Oil and Gas Law.. *** Walkingstick [via Frank26] Meetings that occurred on last Wednesday and Thursday...there was talk about the new small category notes...the showing of it. They were talking about the denominations. So far we've always thought that there was going to be 7 new denominations...we only know of 6 denominations of the new small category notes. IMO there was no need to elaborate on the new small category notes at this meeting...they already had agreements on the new small category notes... *** Mnt Goat WOW! The news is not what we expected by now. It has been 7 months already since the elections were held. These politicians just can not agree on how this new Iraqi government will be formed. But we must ask our selves why...It is because Al-Sadr is stepping up his game... We know that he attempting to change the process to a “government by majority” and not a simple “quota system”... Iraq could never be a free and sovereign nation with this old, corrupt system of elections. It must be changed over...
  4. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Mnt Goat Article: "THE DISPUTE ENDS AS SOON AS IT IS LEGISLATED..THE KURDISTAN UNION SENDS AN IMPORTANT INVITATION TO BAGHDAD REGARDING OIL AND GAS" Quote: "the Federal Oil and Gas Law is still ink on paper and has not been legislated and there is no way out of the current crisis except by legislating a law regulating oil and gas." Okay so now we have it in writing from Kurdistan in that the Federal Oil and Gas Law is still ink on paper and has not been legislated...The Kurds will use this issue to get what they want out of forming the new government.
  5. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON ** Nader From The Mid East The reinstatement will not go more than 1 to 1 to start then it floats. That's how it's gonna happen...I don't think it's gonna be in the $6 range...NO country will be in the $6 against the dollar... ** Frank26 I saw someone make a post earlier and they said 'I don't understand, 25000, you remove the three zeros, you have 25 dollars...this is a stupid investment.' There are 3 zeros on the currency. What are you going to take a pair of scissors and cut them off and you have a 25 note? The 3 zeros they're talking about are on the exchange rate. Once they lift those three zeros that 25k note becomes 25,000... ** Deepwoodz [Response to Godlover Saturday morning post] Let’s not forget that Kadhimi and his government had the budget ready long before now. Even before they supposedly became a caretaker. They could easily have put the budget forward at the end of last year if they had wanted to. Whatever they were waiting on then, is probably the same thing they are waiting on now. The articles are like riding a roller coaster but the truth is much less chaotic. We just aren’t privy to the schedule they have set. Nor are we privy to the date or the rate…Yet..! ** Mark I am really hoping over the next few days we all cross the finish line... I have not heard anything negative at all. ** Samson Article: "The arrival of dollar reserves to 90 billion, ringing the bells of the exchange rate" Quote: "Calls are rising among the popular and political circles, to reduce the exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar, after the foreign currency reserves in Iraq witnessed a jump during 2022...the step of raising the value of the Iraqi dinar, if achieved, will make the dinar a competitive currency that helps lower the prices of commodities and foodstuffs in the markets. According to the experts..."
  6. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Militiaman Article: "Saving a Homeland: The government will be formed within the next two months" I am not seeing them use two months to resolve the issue of the Government impasse. There is another meeting with the UN post two scathing reports on the lack of movement politically. Not only have they the pressure from the UN, the IMF, the UST, the World Bank, even the CBI supports they are moving faster than months out...imo. *** Mark [Nader said...that the dinar rate was only going to be 1 to 1.] He said that rate made sense to him…he also said that all the areas around Iraq, even those that do not have the same wealth have rates up to the $3’s…but that 1 to 1 made the most sense, and then let it float. I agree with him…that does make sense if Iraq goes without the rest of the world with the NEER (Nominal Effective Exchange Rate) rate…but we did see with government documentation that they want the NEER at about $1.60 and then let it float...IF they go solo. If they go with the Global Currency reset they can justify a considerably higher rate. So the rate will depend on whether Iraq goes solo or if they go with the rest of the world. *** JERRY_1971 [Response to Godlover Post Saturday Morning] THE FSL IS THE ALTERNATIVE TO THE BUDGET 2022, SINCE ITS TAKING TIME TO PASS THE NEW BUDGET 2022 DUE TO LACK OF SEATED GOV'T. TILL THEN THEY CANT WAIT AND NEED TO PASS THE FSL IN ORDER TO GIVE RELIEF TO THE POOR CITIZENS. EVEN LOOK AT TODAY'S ARTICLE:...THE PM ADVISOR SALEH IS CONFIRMING THAT THEY NEED TO LEGISLATE EITHER OF ONE OF THE TWO THE FSL OR THE BUDGET IN ORDER TO DISBURSE OF THE ABUNDANCE OF WEALTH THEY HAVE IN THEIR TREASURY TO THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ. PM KAZEMI IS IN CONTROL OF ALL THIS AND WANTS ALL THE BEST FOR ITS CITIZENS. GL, I HOPE IN YOUR OPINION YOU MAY BE WRONG THIS TIME - AT LEAST IT WILL BENEFIT THE CITIZENS OF IRAQ AND WE DINARIANS... IMO
  7. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Nader From The Mid East Community comment: "Iraq will never reinstate their money. Their money will never go up." You might be right but I strongly disagree with you because if you look all around us like Kuwait, United Emirates, if you look all around us the least the dollar..the Saudis...you can buy for I think 58 cents for a dollar...I think there is a big chance of reinstating. A big chance... *** Frank26 THE LAST FEW WEEKS OF AUCTIONS HAVE BEEN UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE CBI. NOT ONLY ARE THE CITIZENS EXCITED ABOUT A COMING NEW EXCHANGE RATE BUT THEY ALSO KNOW THEY WILL HAVE AN INCREASE TO THEIR INCOME THROUGH THE HCL AND NOW THE CITIZENS ARE REALIZING... THAT MORE PURCHASING POWER IS COMING THROUGH THEIR GOVERNMENT VIA CBI/AUCTIONS. *** Godlover Article: "Parliamentary agreement to complete the draft food security law" The FSL is a "filler" with a mini budget per articles, for them to get by until the general budget is approved & opened. This of course needs a new government or for the current government to be granted full authority. The FSL is not a substitute for the general budget, assuming they ever pass the general budget, then it would be a substitute by default. Certainly the FSL will not have what we all seek.
  8. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Frank26 [Iraq boots-on-the-ground TV report] FIREFLY: CBI governor talking about the exchange rate...in interview on news. FRANK26: This is where it starts to get real...it's getting close, be prepared. FIREFLY: Yes. *** Samson Article: "The Central Bank of Iraq announces that foreign reserves have risen to $74 billion" Quote: "noting that the financial situation in Iraq was "very excellent" compared to the countries of the region and neighboring countries..."
  9. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Pimpy Article: "The Iraqi currency reserves are expected to exceed $90 billion by the end of the year" They are quickly getting up there as far as their reserves are concerned...the more they have in reserves the more they have to support the economy as well as the Iraqi dinar which is what you want...we were all happy when they reached 70 billion now they're projected to be at 90 by the end of the year. This is awesome. This is great news. *** Godlover I am still hopeful they do not pass the FSL, if they do pass the FSL, I expect the government formation to drag on for some time unfortunately...
  10. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Mnt Goat Article: "INCREASING THE CAPITAL OF THE CENTRAL BANK ENHANCES ITS BALANCED MONETARY" Quote: "The Central Bank of Iraq announced the decision of its board of directors to increase its capital to 5 trillion dinars, an increase of 40% over its previous capital of 3 trillion dinars. 2 trillion dinars." We can clearly see that the devaluation of dinar to rebuild the CBI reserves was a strategic move and included in the strategy of the White Paper. Now no one can say there is not Stability and Security...
  11. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON ** Pimpy This man is about to make a power move...tactics that...made me chuckle ... because it's his way of sticking up the middle finger to...those who are supporting Iran... Article :" Iraq : Sadr bets on keeping PM Kadhimi and using political limbo to edge out rival" This is the Prime Minister Sadr wants...you see what he's doing. 'Fine, if they don't want to go into parliament and vote on the president and the Prime Minister, no problem, we'll just keep the ones that are there.' Which is the ones they want in there anyways... ** Kaperoni Oil prices have nothing to do with the price of the dinar, the price of the dinar is based on the amount of currency in circulation and GDP. Iraq currently has over 100 trillion dinar in circulation. I'd like to know where & how Kaperoni gets this figure. I can't find it confirmed anywhere..!
  12. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Mark We are waiting to hear more from Iraq. Contacts are watching all fronts…They need to revalue to get political and economic stability. Iraq has already met all the requirements for the IMF. They are also prepared and ready. They need to revalue their currency. Conversations over there believe it will still be in the month of May. So this month is still what they are pushing for. *** Clare Article: "Increasing the capital of the central bank enhances its balanced monetary policy" Quote: "The Central Bank of Iraq announced the decision of its board of directors to increase its capital to 5 trillion dinars, an increase of 40% over its previous capital of 3 trillion dinars. An additional 2 trillion dinars..!"
  13. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Kaperoni [Question: "...If Oil does continue to sky rocket, does this change anything at all for Iraq or us? It could be a quick way for Iraq to get away from the US dollar and convert their currency"] The key for Iraq to add value to their currency is economic diversity and growth...The dollar will always be dominant in Iraq . Especially with oil being the 95% of their revenue. *** Breitling ...Iraq is going to add value to the currency. And guess what, They're backing it up with the US dollar...If you believe the dinar is going to LOP, there's no reason for you to be in this investment... *** Nader From The Mid East Article quote: "In light of the currency financial abundance, it is unlikely to resort to borrowing...Iraq has begun to feel the positive effect of changing the dollar exchange..." He's talking about the exchange rate. I'm very excited. We're getting there...the CEO of the CBI. When he said something usually works. How long? I don't know. It could be this week, next week, can be two months from now...there's not dates there but it show us they're working on it and I'm very excited. It's a lot of pressure over here...we're putting a lot of pressure on everybody so things are gonna get a little quicker and better...
  14. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Clare Article: "The Iraqi parliament sets tomorrow, Wednesday, the first reading of the Food Security Law" *** Mark Question: [what is the first reading of the food security law which is scheduled for tomorrow. Is that a Vote?] It could be a vote…we don’t know at this time. They are expected to read it and possibly approve it if there are no changes made. We are also hearing they are to present several candidates to set their government tomorrow. So we expect tomorrow to be a big day in Iraqi politics. *** Pimpy Let's review again the criteria necessary to change the exchange rate. You have to have a stable government. Do we have one? No. The other one is you have to have a safe and stable country. Does Iraq have a safe and stable country? Well they're launching missiles - I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no they don't. Will all the fighting with political members and people launching missiles at one another it makes it really hard to change the exchange rate. You have to have a country outside investors feel comfortable and safe about investing into. *** Mnt Goat ...in 2011 the plan was laid out in an article by the CBI. So far they have stuck to this plan. We have seen all the necessary banking reforms, the completion of payment of war debt to Kuwait and all the necessary ties into the international investment arena so that the dinar could be used internationally. Why would they bother to do all this if they were not going to reinstate the dinar and trade the dinar internationally? ...This reinstatement is coming as there is just too many past events that paved the way to it already to doubt...This is the perfect time for the reinstatement of the dinar. *** Sandy Ingram Community Comment: "Oil has nothing to do with Iraq's revalue, float or whatever they're going to do." ..This could not be further from the truth...a county's finances has everything to do with the foreign exchange rate thus we talk about Iraq's huge oil revenue and how they are adding to their streams of income. It looks like Iraq's income is about to become even larger...
  15. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Mnt Goat *** Article: "RICH” IN MONEY AND “POVERTY” IN PLANNING.. IRAQ’S REVENUES EXCEED IT'S EXPENSES BY 200% DURING THE FIRST THIRD OF THE YEAR" Do you know just of fantastic this news really is? WOW! WOW..! One more step towards more evidence this is moving ahead.
  16. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Pimpy My text messages and everything else were getting blown up...every time these types of articles are printed people get concerned...here we go, that evil article that we get...maybe once every six months... it confuses everybody then there's all kinds of chit chat about what it really means. I get it, we talk about it all the time... Article: "Mahmoud Dagher explains the economic feasibility of removing zeros from the local currency" [Post 1 of 2] *** Pimpy For those of you who don't know what that means, you would have to exchange in your currency depending on what it is they want to do. The 3 zeros is what they are talking about. If you have a 25000 dinar, remove the zeros you would exchange it obviously for 25's. Where the complication comes in is the exchange rate. People panic because they believe they're losing money. When you trade in your larger bill for a smaller bill that's not the case... [Post 2 of 2]
  17. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Deepwoodz Article: "Al-Maliki's coalition "questions" the legitimacy of the Al-Kazemi government and "reserves" the Food Security Law " They can and will do whatever is necessary to run the government until further notice...they have a government. Until there is a replacement. There is no vacuum left in place of the government. The only ones hollering are Maliki and his cronies because they are being left out. Since yesterday it appears everyone else is on board. imo
  18. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Militiaman Article: "After its implementation in Iran … Is it possible to cancel the dollar exchange rate in Iraq?"...The reality is the Dollar is not imo going anywhere soon, it is on a tear now. It is pushing $104.02 [Dollar index $1.04?] lately...The Rial may have something a lot more valuable to trade in the short term. Yes, one that will be more valuable than the USD... Don't forget all boats rise with the tide. And the tide is out for some, but the Tsunami called the Dinar is about to fill the gap!! ...All good imo. *** Pimpy We have exchange talk again and everybody knows that's our favorite topic to talk about - the dinar exchange rate! Article: "After its implementation in Iran...Is it possible to cancel the dollar exchange rate in Iraq?"...here we go somebody said exchange rate...not what you expected but it does effect what's going on with the dinar...As more and more countries start to get away from the petro-dollar altogether...they start doing things to help strengthen their own currency. Will this move help strengthen Iran's currency? ...That's why I think Iraq is going to keep close attention to what happens to Iran...[Reposted] Same Article..!
  19. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Pimpy It looks like we might be done with this blockage... Article: "Mishaan Al-Jubouri: The independents will present Al-Kazemi as a candidate for prime minister, and we believe he will pass" ...Good news IMO...we learned Saleh is most likely going to be the presidential candidate and Al-Kazemi will be the prime minister. The same two people will continue to move forward for a full term - 4 years...[Post 1 of 2] *** Pimpy Those two managed to work together to get a lot accomplished...If Iraq can manage to get the President Saleh and the Prime Minister Al-Kazemi back as president and prime minister and they form the new government...if that's the case, I believe it won't take very long until we see the Iraqi dinar exchange rate change again. It's going to go up in increments but it's going to do it fairly quick IMO... Iraq is in a really great place. It really is...[Post 2 of 2] *** Kaperoni I have always hoped that Iraq's monetary policy would change according to Iraq's economic development. That they pass the laws necessary to encourage foreign investment, build a thriving private sector, and improve GDP. We have seen numerous articles over the last several months from the World Bank implying Iraq's economy could be the fastest growing in the Middle East. The bottom line is it's up to Iraq to accomplish what is expected of them. I totally agree with Kap's last statement (I underlined).
  20. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON ** MilitiaMan In my view this one has rate implications. The emergency food support bill is what many countries deem as security issues and interestingly enough, there is a food law being talked about in Iraq and even the UST has talked of this topic too. If this is the same thing, there is a rate to be had with it or behind it. We have heard that food security is important and a security issue and a reason the Federal Court Ruled that the present Caretaker Government can get things passed if need be for the benefit of the people, therefore, they will need to secure it with purchase power., i.e., a new exchange rate. ** Godlover [Response to MilitiaMan post above] This food security law you speak of is certainly not a good thing if it does not come with the general budget. ** Mark...good articles out of Iraq today. Article: “ Financial advisor to the Prime Minister: Financeil abundance is a historic opportunity for Iraq.” They even talked in depth about how it will cost them .6 cents per bill to delete the zeros or printing and replacing the physical notes...but they added that this will not increase purchasing power. That is one of their key issues. So now that they are ISO compliant and can be international ….it is time to do both….increase the purchasing power and delete the zeros. This is conversation over the weekend on Iraqi television. Time to get this abundance to the people …I think this is positive stuff.
  21. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Militiaman Article: "Saleh and Al-Kazemi confirm support for dialogue in resolving outstanding issues and launching". A fresh meeting with the President and the Prime Minister today on topics like security, stability solidarity, consolidating ranks and moving towards meeting the national entitlements...These items have serious implications for the future. They are working like a government that has the people on their agenda. [Post 1 of 2] *** Militiaman Their peoples entitlements would come from the reforms that have been promised. That sounds like they are gearing for a change in an exchange rate when using the word entitlements. As exchange rate change will be needed to give the citizens their purchasing power, this year not next...The two having the meeting today, is all a part of the reforms, imo. It shows the solidarity is in tack.. imo [Post 2 of 2]
  22. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON ** Mark I am hearing great things out of Iraq, but their value has not changed yet...the only RV news for the day is Sadr has summoned the finance minister and the CBI Governor to meet on the 12th of May. ** Kaperoni Former deputy CBI gov and economic adviser to the PM Muhammed Salih stated that Iraq is worth about $16 trillion dollars including oil and all minerals in the ground. So there...$16 trillion dollars! ** Pimpy Article: "Al-Kazemi's advisor puts forward a proposal to double growth rates". Oh, yeah baby! That's what we want to see! Quote: "Saleh proposed on Saturday to raise the volume of investment in six sectors to double growth rates..." ...Iraq needs to take that money that they make from the oil revenue and start rebuilding a lot of the different sectors...which has been happening ever since Al-Kazemi has been in office...if we're thinking about changing the overall exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar you must first have a very secure economy...the private sectors - let's get them rocking and rolling!

RON *** Frank26 Article: "Iraq...Ambiguity surrounding the 2022 budget" What's in the budget... the new exchange rate...Quote: "calls to restore the exchange rate of the dinar against the dollar to its previous era." There is no ambiguity. *** Militiaman Sadr...gave a 40 day period out to the Coordination Framework to form a government and they are said to have failed. Also, this week we have seen that Sadr gave the independents up to 15 days to form a government with the Sadr's block. An article suggests that the Independents could actually get on board within days and wa-laa here we are seeing them meeting tomorrow...there was approximately 220 seats under Sadr that didn't get him the 2/3 majority. But, if the independents come on board adding 35+- seats may give Sadr what he needs to form the government.
  24. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... RON *** Pimpy It's kind of hard to figure out what direction Iraq is going to go into without the new government there. You're not going to see any kind of rate change until this government is formed and firmly on its feet and running. That's just a cold hard truth...I'm not trying to be the bearer of bad news I'm the one that's just saying let's stay grounded... *** Frank26 Article: "After the failure of the coordination framework to form it... Al-Sadr calls on independent representatives to form a government without Sadrist ministers" "Independent MPs will meet next week to discuss the Sadr and Framework initiatives" They're telling you, 'we have a political agreement. We've had it' ...this political agreement will lead to a seated government, will lead to the budget, will lead to reforms, will lead to the white papers, will lead to the new exchange rate, will lead to the small category notes for the citizens. The new exchange rate is mainly for the external outside usage where the NSCN are for the citizens inside of Iraq...

RON *** Pimpy *** Article: "International Monetary: Iraq's Revenues Will Reach Nearly 150 Billion Dollars In 2022". This is awesome, awesome news. This is something that people should be excited about because this is a big portion of a good reason to change the exchange rate (but not all the reasons)...Quote: "the IMF expected that Iraq will achieve a jump in it's public revenues during the 2022 year...with annual change rate of 73% over the 2021 year." That is phenomenal. That's a huge jump. *********This is a real positive coming from Pimpy..!
