RON *** Paulette When the IQD RI's, there will no longer be a need for vendors to purchase USD in order to cover imports and the people will no longer desire USD over IQD as (hopefully) the IQD will be seen as more valuable. Additionally, when the vendors can use IQD to purchase imports, they will not only be happy to accept IQD but will prefer it. Article: "The Central Bank Announces An increase In Its Cash Reserves To 82 Billion Dollars" I'm curious to see how high they can get this sucker pumped up. If they keep going at this rate by the end of next year do you realize they'll be over $115 billion? ...you want to talk about doing all the right things...to strengthen the dinar, this is it....If we could just get the government going and stability in the economy man we would be well on our way to increasing the value of the Iraqi dinar... *** Mark The CBI once again stressed that they are the only ones that can change the rate. It has nothing to do with the government. And as long as the government looks peaceful and settled they can go ahead and move forward with the rate. They let us know this again...We find this very interesting.

RON *** Mnt Goat So, how many times must Iraq tell us that the only entity that has the power to change the currency exchange rate is within the coordination of the CBI and the Finance ministry. The cabinet DOES NOT have the power to change the exchange rate, EVER! *** Mark Article: “Government official: Iraq is not thinking of floating the currency at the moment” I believe this to be a re-print with a new date on it…Just like in Kuwait the morning that it went. Kuwait ran an article that it would be 6 months to a year or two before they RV’d their currency. They then changed the rate that same afternoon... So we have expected them to print these type of articles close to the end.

You have the Washington Post...PBS, Jerusalem Post, ABC, Yahoo News...the news is not always BS...the protest is happening... *** Mnt Goat I get some questions on the VND Vietnam Dong as will it also RV along with the IQD Iraqi Dinar? I will give you a short answer to this question – maybe ...the Vietnam war has been over for about 50 years and still they have their downgraded currency and larger three zero notes. Maybe it’s time to bring them to the standard of the western currency? We can see there is no hurry to change these notes, at least not what they are saying. We do also see a higher VND rate (.47 – $2.00) in the QFS staged to go at some point. So, something is up. This is a good sign.

I was like what the hell are you guys talking about? ...let's say for shits and giggles they went ahead and they made the change privately and then somehow got out publicly - What's to keep everybody and their mama from rushing out and buying more Iraqi dinar because they knew the rate change took place. That's why I know it's BS...it makes no sense whatsoever... *** Frank26 Will they float the dinar like the hot rumor that's out there on the internet right now? I don't know but...they had and auction last week...IMO a float cannot occur during an auction week... ***Tivon ...You can see why some would assume there's a long way to go. Because it appears we are waiting on things being settled between what powers will run the country in "The New Government". But Al-Kazemi is in position to implement everything for the interim period as an transitional authority who will use the EFSL to enact the Oil & Gas Law sense he will have full legislative authority...The citizens do not want a "New Government". The Constitution gives the authority for the President and or Prime Minister necessary powers to run the country under war and or emergencies. When you see the IMF, AMF, United Nations, World Bank, World Trade Organization, United States Treasury, BUMA...all these people meeting with the CBI and Kazemi you cannot be that ignorant! People...are saying this could explode and could tear Iraq apart. All we know for sure is protests are a very bad thing in Iraq. Now the Al-Sadr group has taken over the parliament building citing no intention of leaving. It came from bologna...the IQD will never commence at a program rate of 1200...it can't happen. Come on Frankie, they can start from anywhere they darn well please, for whatever reasons they choose. We may feel strongly that it can't or shouldn't, but that doesn't mean it will never start from the 1200 program rate. They decide, nut us..! [to] stop the protests... *** Jeff At the end of the day Iraq cannot go international if the rate remains below zero...it is a reinstatement. That means put it back to where it was in the $3+ range. Iraq has to put their rate back that's comparable to the region. None of the other middle eastern countries have a rate below zero. Some of the lowest rates in the Middle East are maybe down around where Saudi Arabia is - around a quarter. That's the low side. *** Tivon ...Purchasing Power for the citizens will come regardless of a new government or budget. Why do you think they have already completed the new salary scale? Because the EFSL covers what? All Contracts & Procedures. Not the GOI. Not the budget. They only need about a week to complete both of these steps...Why one week? So they can revalue immediately after they do them that's why... This may be done behind closed doors...or at the time when the exchange rate and the new small category notes are released. This information will be in print, we just are not knowing exactly when... *** Tivon Article: "Central Bank Governor: The banking sector is making progress at various levels" This implies that the deadline for August 15th 2022 for banks to get on the new platform is for late bloomers who do not currently have their affairs in order. The CBI can make their move now. Are they trying to get this deal done before August 1st? Seems that way... *** MilitiaMan ...The EFSL, it has wide reaching tentacles that allow for the many things to happen during the normal course of the day to day needs of the citizens and their entitlements. One of which is the changing of the exchange rate. *** Kaperoni Militiaman (above) says they must RV soon if they want a market economy...That's not how it works you build a market economy and then the dinar goes up in value as a result. We have a contact at an Iraqi bank that has a location in London….they are hoping to start exchanging early next week...There is a lot of discussion from Iraqi banks that have branches in other countries…so things are getting very, very hot. ** Pimpy Down goes Maliki. Down goes Maliki...Is this fight over? Or is it just getting warmed up? ...those audio leaks are coming back to bite Maliki right in the butt. There hasn't been an audio leak this bad since Watergate. Article: "Because of the audio leaks...A leader in the call calls for the dismissal of Al-Maliki from the party" Not only is this guy possibly not going to become the Prime Minister but they might oust him from the party altogether.
