As I start my morning in silence, I'm reminded of how many people here
and throughout the land are hurting and in dire straits. My heart goes out
to them all in prayer. And the Holy Spirit reminded me something that as
Christians we tend to forget from time to time,
Psalm 46:10-11
10Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
1 Chronicles 28:20
And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.
Hebrews 13:5
5Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
So I pray that we all, if only for a little while, will take our eyes off the struggles of
this present darkness and focus on the God of our Salvation. Never forget, my brothers and
sisters, that Jesus Christ is forever with us and his never ending love for ALL OF US
will sustain everyone of us. Now may the peace that passes all understanding be
upon you this day.
