  1. Good morning! Today's update will be brief and to the point. Yesterday we saw some of the best news to come out of Iraq in a LONG time! I know I've been positive about the dinar for a few weeks, but now I'm actually EXCITED! As I'm sure you're aware, we have had a Hydro Carbon Agreement for some time now. That's fine and dandy, but I don't believe it was possible to see an RV of any significance until there is a LAW on the oil agreement. Maliki kept progress at bay for years, pitting the Sunnis and Shiites against each other, basically because he is a corrupt villain that held control of Iraq for far too long. As of beginning of this year, Maliki was ousted and now we have Good Guy Abadi at the helm, and for a few months he was a rock star! We saw a flurry of progress... ... and then it all slowed down. We had nothing major to get excited about over summer, and we all wondered when, or if, things would ever get moving again. Well, as of a couple weeks ago we started seeing some hints that things might be picking up speed again... ... and YESTERDAY it was announced that Parliament plans to include the HCL into the 2016 budget. That by itself wouldn't be too impressive - we see fluff from Parliament all the time. But THIS time they included verbiage that specifically states how it's going to work. The Kurds will honor their oil commitment, or they get their funds cut off. This also means that their funds will not be cut off, provide they honor their agreement... and by putting it in the budget, that's almost as good as passing the actual Law. Let me put it another way - generally these announcements are one-sided, and we can always expect them to go back and forth on it. THIS announcement accommodates BOTH sides, and is the single most solid evidence that we are moving forward that I have EVER seen on the HCL! I have a feeling it's going to be a VERY good time to be in VIP soon. That discount I mentioned last week is still good. If you didn't already take advantage of it, here it is: http://iqd.me/l/order Discount Coupon: newsletter20 That gets you 20% off the VIP packages listed at that page. See you in VIP! Here's the weekly Q's: See above That's a good question. I know we had a conversation on this in the VIP section just recently - does anyone have the link to that thread? The 50s were nixed earlier this year. They played horrible on Sunday. Cheers! Maybe that's what happened I don't know who was excited about Chapter 11, but I've always said 3 things need to happen: 1. Stable GOI (Done!) 2. Chapter 7 (Done!) 3. HCL (ALMOST!) Well, IF it doesn't happen by then, I'll answer that question at that time. Let's hope it doesn't come to that. I don't think it will. Sorry bud, your link went missing when I was copy-pasting things - but I did see it, and I believe you are on the right track. Things are looking up! HOLY COW THAT'S A LOT OF TEXT! I'm not concerned with the other countries in the ME, and most likely we're just watching a natural adjustment in the balance of the world. Iraq is Iraq, and they are capable of succeeding regardless of what other countries do. ================================================================ That's it for now... keep an eye on that HCL, I think good things are coming.
  2. Happy Wednesday Dinarians! I have two items to mention before getting into the Dinar. 1. Thank you to all of you Vets who made and those that continue to make sacrifices for us. Your service is appreciated! 2. Our container arrived in Dominica a couple days ago. I hope to have pictures from them soon, but I'm not going to rush them. I'm sure they are doing a great job with what we sent. If you didn’t catch my update last week, check it out here: http://goo.gl/cDKVQ6 At this point in time, I can’t really add much to what I said in that post. It really looks like things are moving along as awesome as possible, so if we don’t hear anything disastrous, I’m thinking that this train is ROLLIN’! The only real update/news to report is this: Second Reading of the budget is on Monday: http://goo.gl/xN4muX They have already given us all the info we need to suspect that the HCL is definitely in the Budget, and compared to how Budget readings went in the past, this one is FLYING along! That’s all I have to say on it right now… oh, one more thing. GOOOO RRRRVVVVV!!!!!! ====================================== 2nd reading is scheduled for Monday. Everything I know about the current situation tells me that the HCL will be part of the budget, and it looks very positive to pass quickly. The latter You have a great day as well sir! Your guess is as good as mine... but I would guess that the HCL/Budget deal is giving more people than just us some positive vibes. 1. Stop that 2. We have benefits for people all over the world and definitely have a lot of VIPs in Europe. 3. I'm hoping for 15:1 (kidding!) It's scheduled for Monday now. There is no requirement for a 3rd reading, but it's always possible. We will see on Monday/Tuesday how it pans out. I think that the HCA put into the budget makes for a VERY strong chance of "soon". I wish I could guarantee it, but... you know. :camel: ======================================== Annnnnnnnd that's it for now friends! I don't think we'll get anything major before Monday, but I won't be upset if I'm wrong. *hint hint, Iraq* Have a great day!
  3. Good morning and Happy Wednesday my friends! I've been keeping a very close eye on things over the last couple weeks, and I'm liking how things are going right now. The bad news is we don't have an RV... but the good news is they are kicking things around in ways that make me think we're approaching some movement. You know how meteorologists watch winds and air pressure and all that, and even though they might not be right all the time... they can generally predict when a storm is coming, right? This time in history is like that. Weatherman Adam Montana is looking at the barometric pressure and other signs, and it looks like a storm is brewing! And to that, I say, "Bring it on, Iraq! I've got a heavy duty raincoat, an umbrella, and even a raft if I need it!" In anticipation of some good news soon, I'm working on some major updates to the forums here. Please accept my apologies in advance if we have some downtime. It is 100% planned, and not a hacker attack or anything. (What I mean to say is: We appreciate your understanding while I break things.) That's about it for now, so here's the weekly Q's! Good morning 2016 lines up JUST FINE with what I'm seeing, so let's cross our fingers for an RV/RI soon. <3 you too! Yes, absolutely possible. I won't say "probable" because it's "probably" about a 50/50 chance it could go either way. But if the HCL happens first, then it becomes 90/10 that the RV is within days, if not moments. bohica, if you're not in my VIP group I strongly encourage you to get in NOW. That will not only eliminate your concern, but will also open up a lot of doors and opportunities that you probably don't even know about right now. Here's a discount for you: http://iqd.me/l/order discount code: newsletter20 It used to be, but now it's not. P.S. I can't wait to see Peyton throw 3 interceptions this Sunday! Thanks for the reminder to get my bets in... I've got Packers -2 and Patriots over 51.5 P.P.S. for any of you gamblers out there, I think this is another year to take the Over and Pats regardless of the line. to your success! I don't have verification on his pay, but logically that would play into an RV... afterall, what kind of greedy monster would continue taking that kind of pay if they knew it was going to increase? #justsayin (Who are the Lions?) My opinion is that it will be less than a week, possibly less than a day. That, my friend, is fodder for a very long conversation. Did Iraq drop the bond offering due to lack of interest? Or did they never plan on fulfilling it, but wanted to see if there was interest? MY sources feel that there was plenty of interest, but in fact they never intended to sell. They were just testing the waters. Whether that is the case or not remains to be seen... and I think we will know the answer after the HCL and RV is announced, because that's when Iraq will show their cards. -===========================- That's all for now... maybe not all for today, but at least for now. Have a great day, everyone!
  4. Goooooood morning everyone, and Happy Wednesday! Over the last couple months I've been pretty solid on one thing: No HCL, No RV. Pretty cut and dried, right? I've also been kicking around another angle on this deal... we're not going to get a huge warning, or even a hint, that the RV is coming. In fact, the opposite is my opinion - you're going to wake up to a text message from me or a huge news announcement that it is DONE! So with that in mind, don't freak out when you read this: http://goo.gl/mSci96 I'm serious, don't freak out! That thread, my friends, has the potential to be the BIGGEST and BEST news we have seen since Chapter 7 was lifted. We are FINALLY starting to see some movement, and this is AWESOME! But let me back up for a second... remember I said "don't freak out"? I say that because even though this is great news, I don't think we're any less than a month out. This HCL movement is EXACTLY what we need, but based on my longtime observance of how things work in Iraq, I am confident that we will see a slowdown in news for about a month... and then BOOM! Something big is going to happen! Yeah, I just did that... I am sticking my neck out and giving a timeline. Maybe not for the actual final official RV, but we are looking at SOMETHING big, and soon. I'm very excited right now! But I'm also patient, and I encourage you to do the same. One more thing before I hit the weekly Q&A... Just yesterday I sent out an email to the VIP members, asking how I could improve the service and VALUE of VIP. I'm just floored with the comments... in less than 24 hours, there is over TWO HUNDRED responses, and I'm proud to say that our VIP section is getting a VERY solid 99.9% 5 star rating from the members! If you're not in the VIP group, you should be! I know I haven't talked much about it lately... We've been busy doing awesome stuff like helping out small countries and feeding the poor. But now that we're seeing a new surge in activity from Iraq, if you want to get the absolute best return on your Dinar, and you value being with intelligent and successful people... get in my VIP group. 99.9% of your peers promise you won't regret it. Get VIP here. (VIP members, here's the conversation currently up to 220+ responses.) Here's the weekly Q's: I think we're on the cusp of a big event. It's been a long time in the making, but it looks like we are finally on the brink! That's a fair question. IMO, the religious history is no longer the major factor that it used to be. What we are witnessing is a hammering of the details, and the hammering is getting good. Thanks for the positive comment sir! Ask and ye shall receive Here: http://iqd.me/l/order Discount code "newsletter20" (no quotes) for a 20% discount. I believe this next budget will be the easiest one ever. "In the books"? Not quite, but close enough. 1. I'm not sure, I kind of quit paying attention to Maliki lately. He's not a prime factor anymore. 2. IMO those are small potatoes compared to the HCL articles I linked above. But to answer the question, I haven't seen anything either way on those bills. Parliament is in session 0-5 days per week, depending on the alignment of the moon, stars, and the color of ink used on their vacation schedule. On any given day, we can expect to see no more than 100% and no less than 0% of the members show up. Oh, and some days they spin a wheel to see who gets to start "duck-duck-goose". That's it for now... I'm working on some exciting stuff here at the DV Headquarters, the VIP members will get that news first of course. Keep an eye on that HCL news... when it slows down this time, I think that's when we're on the home stretch. Keep calm and GO RV!!!! - Adam
  5. Afternoon everyone! I've been travelling almost non-stop since last week's update, so I'm a bit behind on the weekly update. I'll get it posted for you all later this week - thanks for understanding! In the meantime, enjoy the most recent update on our Dominica efforts. *** UPDATE: Weekly Q's below! **** Thread re-opened
  6. Hey hey happy Wednesday! Ok folks, if you've been keeping up with what we're doing over the last couple weeks, you already know what I'm about to do. We've done a LOT here in the last couple of weeks to generously and selflessly give to the people of a small island that I know a lot of you don't care about, and most of you are probably tired of hearing me talk about it. Don't worry, we're near the end of this drive! I'll get back to promoting VIP and doing other things that annoy you soon enough! For now, though, I'm going to continue... we've got THREE days left to finish this drive off! I know some of you may have just found this site, so let me recap. There was a Tropical Storm recently, and it wiped out - DEVASTATED - a small island in the Caribbean. This small island was set back at least 20 years economically, and they weren't leading any races in the first place... and that hurts. Most of you probably didn't even hear about it. It's not something that hits close to home for most of our news stations, it wouldn't get great ratings, so it was announced... and then forgot, once the storm withered and was no longer a threat to US grounds. But the people of Dominica... they are going to be fighting for a LONG time to get back on their feet. So far we've raised an amazing $15,510. Is your name on this sheet??! That's in USD, my friends! That's how amazing this community is! In a couple days, I'll be finalizing arrangements to have a container filled with essential items like diapers, femcare, flour, cooking oils, rice, beans, etc, shipped to Dominica. This isn't a ton of money, and we're barely going to make a dent in helping them... but we ARE going to help them! I want you all to open your wallets one last time, and if you see an extra $10, $20, or $100 in there... click this link: ---->>>> http://goo.gl/VIuNeb <<<<---- EVERY single penny you put into this is going directly into necessities for the people of Dominica. Not ONE SINGLE PENNY is going into my pocket. You might wonder why I'm pushing for this. I don't know a single person in Dominica. I don't get a tax write off for this. I don't benefit at all. What I do get is a warm fuzzy feeling, that is completely drowned by the pain that I feel when I think about the struggle these people are going through. And I know that if we don't act now... if I can't get you to pull out your wallet today... there's no way you will do it in a month, or a year, or 5 years from now. Just give what you can. I'm going to post receipts and pictures of the great work we are doing in just a few short weeks. Click this link, and thanks for sticking this out with me! ---->>>> http://goo.gl/VIuNeb <<<<---- Next week I'll be posting an update on what we accomplished, and we'll get back to focusing on the Dinar. Now for the weekly Q's! That does indeed sound like a technical problem! Unfortunately, my tech staff is on vacation. I will leave sticky notes all over their screens so they won't have a chance to miss them! I am in constant contact with folks there - if there was in in-country RV of ANY kind, I would know and I would definitely share that information with the members. FWIW though - I do not believe an "in-country RV" is something we need to worry about. I give that scenario less than 1% chance. News right now on the HCL is scarce, but I actually like it that way. If we are to see a major change in the value of the currency, and it rests on a successful HCL, then we should not hope to see a lot of "news" or "tips" on it's progress. The HCL, and then the RV, is something that will happen BOOM! or as LGD has in his signature... "SUDDENLY" I think Abadi has done a great job in reshaping the GOI. Maliki is small potatoes - he's merely a gnat on Abadi's shoelace at this point, and I think Abadi is working behind the scenes on bigger items. Not that I know of, but that's not a bad thing. Just because I don't know the details doesn't mean it's not happening! I have a warm fuzzy feeling about what we're doing for Dominica. Strangely quiet at the moment. Like I mentioned above, I'm hoping that's the best news possible right now. ======================== That's it for now... if you haven't donated yet, you scrooge... bend at the waist and stick those short arms into your deep pockets and weasel out a couple bucks! This is the best cause you'll hear of this year, and you know I don't ask for your help often. You'll be glad you did! Here's the donate link: ---->>>> http://goo.gl/VIuNeb <<<<----
  7. Good morning all! First a little about the Dominica project, then the dinar update. calkid11 will kick me off here! I'm sure you all know I'm anxious to give an update on how things went with our Dominica project... I AM! I have a lot to share, but I don't want to do it piecemeal... so I'll take my time with the full report. Here's the short version: The 20' container was loaded yesterday and sent to the shipyard. I feel so good about what we did there... it just warms my heart, it really does! What we as a community were able to do... it's just amazing. I can't wait to see this completed, with a GOOD amount of items in the hands of those in Dominica who will really appreciate it. I should have that write-up finished and posted tomorrow or Friday - I'll email when it's up! Now the Iraqi Dinar, which is why the other bunch of you are here I've been saying for a short time now - a SHORT time - that we're waiting on the HCL to come through and that is pretty much it. I say a "short time", because for a LONG time we needed more - GOI, Chapter 7, etc. We HAVE the majority of what we need for an RV. All we need now is the HCL... and until that's through, there is no RV. My sources are quiet right now. I see a glimmer of hope in this article (thanks Yota!), but if they are referring to the "law 56" that is stated in the wikisource Constitution of Iraq, then it's nothing to get excited about OTHER than the fact that we're finally hearing "oil and gas" again. It's been a quiet month and more since we heard much about "oil and gas" (HCL), so let's hope this is the start of the upswing. If we start seeing more HCL articles, it could be time to get excited. I don't believe that will happen. If it did, we should probably focus on more important things than just the value of the Dinar. It very well could have had an effect on the process, but it doesn't matter at this stage - the internet exists and you can't turn it off. Anyone that's disappointed with a .10 RV doesn't deserve the $100,000! Lmao: Fixed or float - I have differing opinions on that one. BOTH are positive, because the CBI won't launch a new rate until they know they can sustain it... so if it's a float, it will only go up in value. Bonus for us! But if they have any concerns at all, then they might want to peg it (fix) for a time to prevent any movement and control the value. Again - Good for us, because we won't lose value! My final answer is a hybrid - it's very easy to see them coming out fixed, and then switching to a float once they are confident. With the way the CBI moves, we might want to assume that they would hold it fixed for years, but the other side of that coin is that when the CBI makes a big move... I believe they are going to be ready to play, and they will do things we don't expect. Thanks for the question. ================================ I'm going to go get to work on my Dominica project report and also catch a plane here shortly. Talk to you all shortly!
  8. Good morning everyone! Happy Wednesday and it is ALMOST the end of Ramadan... which makes me happy, because I'm excited to see this train start chugging along again! You all know my general opinion of what gets done during Ramadan, and this year was no different. After an amazing 4 months or so earlier this year, things kind of petered out around the end of May and as of the last few weeks, we've really heard nothing exciting at all. This isn't bad, in my opinion. Although we've had a bit of a lull, Iraq has proven to me in this year alone that they are "in it to win it", and I have a feeling that the lull was intentional. They most likely knew that any significant progress on the HCL immediately before Ramadan would only put a strain on them that they could not handle during Ramadan. We can be as impatient as we like, but their culture isn't going to change for us... Ramadan is what it is. And what it is, is almost over! Now we find ourselves in a little SNAFU over the timing of it. Ramadan officially ends on the evening (our morning) of Friday July 17. The official workweek for Iraq is Sunday to Thursday... so Ramadan is ending on the start of the weekend. With that in mind, I don't expect anything on Friday or Saturday, but I am very anxious to see what starts rolling out on Sunday. So on that note, I'll simply say.... GOOOOO HCL and GO RV!!!! ================ Q&A ===================== Sure they do. They don't have to pay in cash immediately, just like our banks don't carry enough cash on hand to cover all of their deposits. The banking world is a magical place where the value of money is exactly what they say it is. If you're looking to get educated on it, research these two things: Fiat Currency and Fractional Banking. That will explain it all. No Sir, I have not heard anything on it - but that doesn't surprise me. It could easily take 3, 6, 12 months or more to get a final word on that one. ISIS will be an issue until they are eradicated, which will never happen completely. At least, not with the pansy leaders we have in the world today. Regardless... ISIS is not enough of an issue to stop Iraq from manipulating their currency. I don't know all the specifics on it, so I can't speak with any authority... but if history is any indicator, it's not good and I don't like it. What does it have to do with an RV? I'm sure it will have some kind of impact at some point in the future, but probably not until after an RV is already done, which means it won't be a major factor in the actual event. Please post a new thread in OSI and I will be happy to give private feedback for the OSI members. I don't pay too much attention to Maliki anymore - he's a noisy bug, but that's all he is in the big scheme of things right now. Pat your friend on the head and tell them not to worry. This topic has been tossed around, answered, and most importantly, debunked. End of story. Cheers everyone... see ya soon, and hopefully sooner than later!
  9. This week's update is was delayed due to LGD's recent post here. *** Update - Here is the weekly!*** Hey Hey Hey It's Thursday! Good morning DinarVets members, and welcome to the most recent weekly update on the Iraqi Dinar. I always work my tail off to get these things up on Wednesday, as early as possible, but thanks to the hard work of one of our members (LGD) this week's update had to be postponed. I sincerely hope you've been following along over the last few weeks, but we all know that some of you were on romantic getaways in Fiji or on crazy submarine adventures through the catacombs of the New York sewer system or maybe you just forgot to turn on your internet, so let me give you a very quick refresher! Regarding the Dinar, I haven't had much to say in about a month, and that remains unchanged. We've been on stand-by for the HCL, and we remain on stand-by. However, that doesn't mean this amazing community has been sitting idle! In fact, quite the opposite. If you're new here, I encourage you to prepare yourself for some powerful feelings. Here at DinarVets, we've always encouraged selfless actions and a spirit of giving. That may surprise a lot of you, since most people that are looking for news on the Dinar are really just wondering "Am I rich yet? When will MY dinar revalue??!" And a lot of other sites out there are all about that... in fact, I can't remember the last time any of the other dinar sites held a fundraiser to benefit anyone other than the site owners. That is NOT true for us here at DinarVets. We've raised many THOUSANDS for many good causes. Haiti, our Vets, Katrina, Breast Cancer Awareness, and more... I lost count. Those of you that have been with us for the long haul KNOW that we've done a lot of good for people in need... and right now we are in a unique position to do something really important. You might have heard about Tropical Storm Erika recently. It went through the Caribbean, and although it's not in the news this week... it almost wiped out a complete country island. Yeah, it's old news now, but it's not a dead issue. The island of Dominica was obliterated, and is STILL devastated... ... in fact, it's believed that the island was set back at least 20 years. Have you seen this on the news in the last week? I'm guessing "NO", because it's 'old news'... but I promise you that it is NOT 'old news' to the people of Dominica, who are struggling for food, clean water, and just plain HELP! Over the last couple weeks, I've talked about this... and thanks to the help of some amazing members here, we've been able to work out a majority of the logistics to doing something URGENTLY important... something that I haven't seen ANY other group even trying to do. You are part of this, and you should be proud! This is something that I haven't seen done before, so maybe we're pioneers on this kind of effort... but that means nothing. What is important is how our efforts will help people and what we are doing. Let's be very specific: We are going to ship a container of food and supplies to Dominica, and we are going to receive nothing in return. I may have been a little quiet on the forums recently, and that's because I've been kicking some serious tail figuring out how to best focus our efforts and our money. After talking to multiple churches and other organizations in this poor country, I can tell you a couple things with absolutely zero hesitation. 1. They don't want money - they want SUPPLIES. 2. Although there isn't any dedicated group focused on helping DOMINICA specifically... we CAN and WILL make a difference for these people! So here's the deal. The longer this sits, the colder it gets, and the less these people will get. It's not in the news anymore, it's cold and stale... but for the people living it, it's NOWHERE NEAR "stale" - please get involved with us! Our goal is $20,000. Click the link below and contribute whatever you can afford, and be PROUD that you are part of this amazing community. Here's the current link to donate: http://goo.gl/VIuNeb Just add the amount you want to chip in. If you want to donate $500, enter 50 then update it. (I'm working diligently on a mod to the forum that will show our progress. Until that's complete, I'll just update the number manually. This matter is too time sensitive to delay!) Once we reach the goal, I am personally going to be responsible for a majority of the operation. If I have to go load the container myself, I WILL. Your money is going to go to provide food and necessities for the people of DOMINICA. You might wonder why we've put so much work into this... can't we just donate to an established charity and let them do the work? I wish we could... but I can't find one organization that is committed to helping the people of Dominica. The closest organization I found was "foodforthepoor", but upon examination I found that they don't have a specific effort for Dominica, and the CEO made over $400,000 last year. That doesn't sound like a "charity" or a "non-profit" to me, so I can't in good conscience endorse them... but we still want to help, so what do we do? Simple.. we do it ourselves. And that's what we're doing. Click this link: http://goo.gl/VIuNeb This isn't a charity type deal. You don't get a tax break, because I have no desire to get into that "game"... If you donate, you're doing this out of the goodness of your own heart. And you have my word that every penny will go towards the actual costs of getting supplies to the people of Dominica. If I have to fly to Miami or wherever to load the crate, I'll do it out of my own pocket. If I have to fly to Dominica to make sure the goods get to the right place, I will pay out of my own pocket. And if any of you have a strong back and the ability to join me in this effort, I'll consider asking you for help. I'll post pictures of the food and supplies purchased. If you have any other ideas on how I can reward you, I will do everything in my power. I am passionate about this effort, and I know there are a lot of you that are just as passionate and have already pledged to support it. I'm kicking in the first $1000. Once we reach $10,000, I will kick in another $1000 of my own money. That's how serious I am. If you can only give $5... DO IT! This isn't for me, or you, or your neighbor... this is for people on an island that was destroyed, set back 20 years or more, and it's not even on the news this week. Get on board and let's do something good. I'm proud of all of you already, because I know what this community does in these situations. Here's that link: http://goo.gl/VIuNeb ~ I'll be sending out the email later today. ~
  10. Good morning everyone! If you missed my chat last week, please take a minute to read this: http://goo.gl/7dbDJh And then place a "pledge" by voting here: http://goo.gl/fMuQRb In a nutshell - there was a Tropical Storm recently that wiped out half of a country, and as a group I believe we can help out. So far we only have $9245 pledged - I believe we will be able to squeeze another $5000 out of some silent members once we have an official plan, but we need to see another $5000 in pre-pledged donations before we can really do anything significant. Thank in advance for participating on that one. So, about this Iraqi Dinar! Man, oh, man... are things moving slowwwwww right now. My last 4 or more updates have been really hard to compose, because I can almost just re- post last week's update verbatim We do have some fun topics to hit on! For example, this sensational headline posted by our very own Thugsy: Warning of an imminent collapse of the Iraqi dinar Read it here: http://goo.gl/r0jdr1 (Be sure to check the responses - and then realize that our members here are probably 1000X smarter than the "economists" that wrote that ridiculous article!) And Master Yota posted a pretty cool opinion piece, stating WE ARE WITNESSING A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EVENT - check that out here: http://goo.gl/iG6aos And even as slow as things feel right now, you need look no further than this thread: http://goo.gl/3Isruw to understand that Abadi IS getting stuff done, and we are DEFINITELY on the right track. I'll give that two thumbs up, even though we are still waiting on the HCL. I do have some interesting tidbits that I'm investigating, but nothing solid enough to let you get excited about, so I'll hold back on that info until later this week or next if it pans out. Here's the weekly Q's for now! HCL - yes, I do have high hopes for pre-December! Contact form - as long as your info (phone number email etc) has not changed, no need to do another one. Provided the HCL goes through, I am optimistic. On a scale of 1-10: Cake. I don't think you're missing anything - Iraq won't be black-listed, that's just a bit of huffing and puffing. Everything will turn out fine for them on this. Superbowl - my current picks are Packers, Seahawks, Colts, Patriots. My take on Trump - this is a tough one. Ben Carson is a very smart person, but he does not have political or even tough business experience. Trump does. There are a lot of Republican candidates that *could* do a great job as President, but I don't think anyone other than Trump can beat Hillarious. With that said, I do like the idea of having a President who isn't a career politician. I believe Trump is a very smart businessperson, and while I may not agree with him on everything, I DEFINITELY agree with him more than Hillarious or Bernie! And about Abadi - no way. I wouldn't worry about that for a minute. That's a fair question but similar to my response to SnowGlobe's question - I don't see that situation as a game changer. It's unfortunate and troublesome, but not insurmountable. Good questions sir! I believe they will start with the 25k and go down, and we should have a window of AT LEAST 3 months, and probably a max of 2 years. Don't start wallpapering yet. Or if you do, make sure you don't use glue that will damage your notes. You are correct, we do get much more detailed in VIP. I also like your statement about a "Perfect Storm". If you are correct on the October 1 date, I will be issuing a complimentary VIP membership to you! Regarding the "investment law", I understand where you are coming from - but we have to keep in mind that Iraq, the CBI, the GOI, etc - they can make changes to these "rules" as they see fit, with little or no warning to the world or even the person in the cubicle next to them. That's the magic of being sovereign with a fiat currency and a huge stash of black gold. Did you ever hear about the "Golden Rule"? Someone help me out here. You won't see me complaining! ---------------------------------------------------- Ok friends, that's it for now - PLEASE click those links at the top of this post and consider chipping in as much or as little as you can. I've got work to do on my end to get the logistics sorted, so I will chat with you later. GO RV!!!!!!
  11. Good morning and happy Wednesday THURSDAY! This one will be very short, because A: Nothing has changed since last week and B: Nothing has changed since last week! We're still waiting on movement with the HCL. It's really that simple. Once we see that happen, we're moments away from "money in the bank". When, exactly? On another topic, there has been a LOT of interest in finding a way to help out in Dominica after TS Erika. I've been working on the logistics... unfortunately, there is no real economical way to do it. I've been quoted prices everywhere from $800 to ship a small box, all the way up to $75,000 to charter a vessel with 9000 cubic feet of cargo. I have some friends working on getting some other organizations involved, on the basis that I believe this community is capable of raising about $20,000 in capital. Please vote in the poll above so we have a better guess of what the actual number will be. (Read full details on TS Erika and the damage to Dominica in my last update here.) One more item of interest: I've finally been able to make some great progress on our 2nd Passport project - those of you in VIP that expressed interest will be happy to hear that we are moving forward on it as soon as next week! And now for the weekly Q's - all two of them I have a couple thoughts on that. First, I was never happy with their projection of $70 per barrel. I made that clear many months ago, that I thought it was too high. I am much happier to see them using $60 per barrel now. It's my thought that the budget will need to be revised after a significant change in the value of the currency, so how about HCL this month or next, RV before end of November, and then Budget in December? Sounds good to me! With a higher valued Dinar, we should see a spike in the global economy. Iraq, for one, will purchase and operate many more military vehicles, as will many other countries. The wealth that can be created could easily drive up consumerism, which will create a higher demand for oil, which will drive up the price of oil, which is yet another benefit for Iraq. #winning Meh, that's just one person's opinion. Someone commented in that thread that he's probably a shill for Maliki, here to spread doom and gloom... I would agree with that opinion. ---------------------------------------------------------------- That's it for now, friends! I hope you all had a safe and fun holiday weekend, and I'll be sharing anything new that I get.
  12. Good morning and happy Wednesday, everyone! I have good news and bad news today. The bad news first - no HCL, no RV. Sorry. The good news is something I encourage everyone to verify for themselves... simply click the "What's New" tab and scan through the recent articles. Look for the headlines on ISIS and turmoil in Iraq. You aren't seeing many, are you? That's right! Because things are actually going VERY well over there right now, and this is exactly the situation we want to be in before the HCL is passed and they can successfully make a big change to the value of their currency. Although I am cautiously optimistic, this looks to me like the "quiet before the storm". Let's go, Iraq! Time to get this show on the road! Before I get to the Weekly Q's, let's talk about a recent event that you probably saw on the news - Tropical Storm Erika. Those of you in my VIP group know that I spend a lot of time working with people in various 3rd world countries (mostly for banking and dual citizenship reasons). Most people can't begin to fathom what "3rd World" actually means until you go there and walk the streets... and I'm not talking the streets that they keep nice for tourists. I'm talking about 6-20 blocks off the tourist area, where they actually live. Take the Dominican Republic, for example. If you've been to Punta Cana, you might think you've seen the "Dominican Republic" - sorry, but no. Punta Cana is a beautiful place where the impoverished live like kings compared to what you will find in Santo Domingo, the capital city. Here's a picture of the only beach in Santo Domingo: If you were to brave the steep cliff to get down to it, you'd be lucky to find a spot to put a single beach chair amongst all the trash that is washed up, and by the time you left you would need a shower and you might want to burn the clothes you were wearing! That's just the surface of what I'd like to share, I could go on for hours and days about the things I've seen. I've actually had tears in my eyes on occasion, and as a business person it's damn near impossible to get to my heartstrings. One thing I've started doing is take an extra suitcase on every trip to one of these countries. I go through the house, and so does my family, and we gather all the clothes we haven't worn. We find useful household items that we no longer use or think could benefit someone else. I check that bag, and then lug it to a church when I get there. I'd like to encourage everyone to do the same when you take the time to go to any of these places. Back to TS Erika... there is a small island called Dominica (pronounced "Dom-in-eek-uh") that was hit hard - REALLY hard. (Click the picture for more details.) The destruction has killed at least 25 people and set their economy back 20 years... and their economy wasn't the best to begin with. I actually had a trip planned to Dominica this week, and when I heard about this tragedy I planned on keeping my travel plans, because I'm sure they could use volunteers down there in person. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen. You can't even fly into the country right now, because their airstrip is covered in mud. All supplies have to come over on a ferry at this time. Fuel is being limited to emergency vehicles - if you have a job to go to, you're walking. And it's going to be a very long time before things go back to normal. I've been researching over the last few days and I've learned a few things that are important for those of us that want to help out. 1. Sending physical items may not be ideal for them, because it's more efficient for them to buy from one vendor and get a larger more organized shipment rather than pick through smaller boxes of donations. With that said, I haven't found a specific organization that is dedicated to focusing on Dominica. I don't like putting my money into a pot where it may or may not specifically benefit the cause I am seeking to help, but that shouldn't completely prevent me from making an effort... so I donated a small amount here: http://www.foodforthepoor.org/our-work/where-we-serve/dominica.html 2. After speaking to many Churches and other organizations in Dominica, I believe the Bishop of Roseau is doing a good job of getting organized and they explained that they are working on a way to accept cash and how they will use it, but as of right now they are asking for food donations. I've decided to put a larger amount of money into sending physical goods. As soon as I can get out of the office today, I'm going to go buy a box of the following: - Dry Goods - Flour - Oil - Canned items (tuna, beans, etc) And I will ship it to: Bishop of Roseau Turkey Lane, Roseau Commonwealth of Dominica Edit: Well... I've made less progress than I expected. I went to Walmart and bought 111 lbs of the above items... took it to Fedex, packaged it up, and the price was: 2 Day Shipping: $858 5 Day Shipping: $550 It doesn't make sense to spend $1000 to provide $120 worth of food. Bummer... so I also checked USPS and they aren't much cheaper. My next idea was Amazon, but Amazon doesn't ship flour to Dominica (and I can't find an answer on why not, so I'm still looking...). I'll keep looking for a solution to help them. Anyone have any ideas? Now onto the Weekly Q's! I'm not going to over-complicate it at this time. "General progress" is the 2nd most important thing after the HCL. Regarding the budget, nope. The budget is a moving target that will change drastically once they RV, so I have never put much emphasis on the budget. You asked to ask another question, but you ended up asking three! 1. YES 2. YES 3. I expanded on that last week - in my opinion, it doesn't matter. Check last week's update for a detailed explanation of my opinion on USD vs IQD in this situation. If I'm thinking of the same thing you are, Abadi didn't actually plan on "re-filling" those positions - they were simply being eliminated. I like that plan, because too many monkeys on the same tree is just as bad as too many chefs in the same kitchen. What I said sometime ago about the GOI being important was that we needed a significant change and improvement in the GOI, and I believe that requirement has been "filled" to a very reasonably satisfactory level. It means nothing until they decide to use it for something. Also, I'm not sure what source gave the rating, so it's hard for me to make a conclusive statement on it. If the rating was officially approved by the IMF, that's a big deal! But if it was an Iraqi organization that made the statement, that's less impressive. I'm fine with all transactions going digital, because my bitcoin will skyrocket! But that kind of situation becoming a reality is further away than an RV, so I don't think this agenda is delaying the RV. The only thing that has delayed the RV in the past has been Iraq's need to be in complete control and reasonably stable. I think we've met those necessities, so I'm just going to give them the green light. Go ahead, Iraq! You've earned it! (Maybe they are listening, who knows ) That is a great suggestion, thank you for pointing it out! Here's a quick and dirty recap: 1. The GOI can't force the CBI to honor a higher rate. It simply wouldn't work. 2. Equally important - the CBI doesn't need the support of the GOI to successfully raise the value of the dinar, but they also don't want opposition from the GOI. With those things in mind, we can know that the CBI makes the final call, but both entities will work together to ensure the success. ================================================== That's it for now, friends! Please consider helping the good people down in Dominica if you have the ability.
  13. Hey hey happy Wednesday all! I know I've been a bit distant lately - my apologies for that. I assure you that I haven't taken any time off of all I do for the VIPs, and in fact that's one of the reasons I've been away. I ended up getting very involved in a couple very exciting business ventures that will be of benefit to the VIPs post-RV, and it took a lot of my time. Those projects are about to the point where they don't need my full-time attention anymore, so you'll see more of me in the coming weeks. With that out of the way, let's talk about Dinar! No HCL yet, so no RV. As pointed out in a link below, things are still on track to move forward... the question is "when". Here's an encouraging quote from that link: That was a fun chat, wasn't it? I'm not here to fluff anything, never have been and never will - so that's the end of my weekly update. Here's the weekly Q's! ====================================== I don't think Abadi is causing any extra delays - in fact, the opposite. He's taken action that's allowed the country to make more progress in the last year than the previous FIVE years. I'm still a fan of Abadi. Absolutely Yes HCL, and only HCL. You'll have to ask luckylady about that. As decent as we can expect right now! I'm not sour on the Dinar at all - I'm just waiting for the HCL, and I can't pretend to know when that will go through. It could be tomorrow, or next year. That article is yet another positive mention of their goal to get the HCL done. =========================== There ya have it, folks - short, sweet, and to the point. I'm watching this thing like a hawk, because the minute the HCL goes through I believe we are in for a FUN ride!
  14. Hey hey Happy Wednesday! Well, I hate to keep harping on the same thing week after week, so I'm keeping it simple today. No HCL, No RV. Give me an HCL, and we are back in business quicker than you can say "lickity split"! Here's the weekly Questions, thank you all for posting them and making this site awesome. Up top in the navigation bar, click "Go to VIP". In my opinion, the HCL is going to be done as quick as the actual RV - it won't get back in front of Parliament until they are sure they are going to pass it, and pass it quickly. I'm not the only one who believes the HCL is the last key to seeing the RV, which leads me to think that it will be a 1-2 deal. Go HCL, then go RV. I can't answer for Warka, sorry. Not quite fast enough, but you are welcome just the same! The CBI runs auctions and uses the dollar to balance the rate. From an RV standpoint it really doesn't matter that they are using USD and IQD. All that matters is where the CBI sets the rate, because that determines how many USD we get for each Dinar. Long story short - their use of USD is not a bad thing for us. You present a good case against a high dollar amount. I don't think they will go that high initially - a round number like .10 makes more sense to me. Good post and thank you for the question. I thought it was Sunday As divided as they are now, I would say no. But this is yet another reason for Abadi to influence the CBI and Parliament into uniting the country in order to protect itself. Parliament, kickstart the HCL. CBI, raise the exchange rate. Iraqis - unite and let's prosper. Love it! Have you looked at the math problems these 5th graders are getting these days?! Oy vey! That's it for now... till next time!
  15. Good morning everyone! If you missed the last update, check it out here: http://goo.gl/T1y5V5 We covered a LOT of information, and the feedback I've received both in that thread and also via personal email and VIP responses lets me know that it was needed. If you missed it, it will not hurt you to check it out! This week I'm in the same boat as last week... no HCL, no RV. We all know this can't continue forever, so I won't waste your time harping on that. One thing to watch for this week is China. While this isn't directly related to the Dinar, it's a good example of how an independent bank or country can do whatever they want to their currency. China has a long history of manipulating the markets via their Bank, and it will be interesting to see how their recent actions play out. Time will tell. Everything else I want to cover is in the Q's below: THIS is something I wanted to take a lot of time talking about, but I'm going to hold off on it. It's my HOPE that Abadi is getting back into "grind mode", like he was in the beginning of his term. If you recall how much he accomplished right out the gate after his election, this recent uptick in activity may be an indicator that he's making big moves again. What he's doing right now is a great start - get rid of some unnecessary people, simplify the government, and slam that HCL in place. Let's get it done! I say thanks for the promotion! I used to just be "Big" Cheese, now I'm King! Forced resignations - I love it. Postponing the tariffs - I am fine with it. They need to revalue the currency, kick up their economy, and then impose tariffs. I don't recall Abadi stating that date, but regardless... they aren't going to give us an exact date for a major RV. That will happen when it happens. You owe me nothing, friend! I am happy to serve and happier to hear that you see the value in VIP. Thank you bud! It doesn't necessarily help them to RV, but with that in progress it will do a lot of good for their economy and ability to move forward... especially after they RV. I like how you are thinking, and I'm looking forward to matching your triple! Shoot an email to Julie, she can get you started with a new bank. hahaha GREAT question! I don't have time to write a lengthy thesis on it, so here is my opinion: a. If you're talking about your personal holdings, that's a very fluid situation - there's no way to know for sure, and it's always best to stay flexible and alert. b. I'm strong on precious metals right now, and will be for the foreseeable future. But I'm stronger on other things, like real estate, developments, shipping and manufacturing - especially after the RV, when I expect to see a huge upswing in certain sectors. With that said... I can't give a definite answer right now, but I'm leaning towards "no". I think things are picking back up and we'll start seeing movement again here pretty quickly. HAPPY WEDNESDAY EVERYONE!
  16. Hey hey happy hump day my friends! Well, here we are... Ramabong-a-ding-gong is over, and things are starting to pick up again. ISIS is becoming less and less of an "item" in the daily news, which I expected. This is a good thing, of course, but we should not even think about forgetting about the evil those people are made of. If they went into hiding today and we never heard about them again, we STILL have an obligation to our fellow humans to hunt those animals and have no mercy when they are found. Before I get into a very long-winded rant about that, and a myriad of other topics, let me get back on topic There is news of progress on the HCL, but no official movement as of today. That really sums up the whole situation. We need some strong HCL news to get really excited, and until that happens we are in a holding pattern. I have eyes, ears, and boots on the ground that are keeping me very up-to-date on the important stuff, and as soon as I get word that we're close I will let you know! Here's the weekly Q's: No. Just don't go with a tan/skintone color. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Yuan part of a major change. It would be in everyone's best interest to get a little control over China. No news yet, sorry! I won't be surprised if it takes another few months. It can't be far off now! The IMF has given them many deadlines, and Iraq doesn't care. They do what they want, when they want, and how they want. Hola amigo back at ya! NYK, you sure do come up with some good questions... this one is no exception. At the risk of being short against such a well thought out question, I believe I can indeed get to the point quickly. The deal with Iran is definitely going to have an impact, and likely exactly as you described. In my estimation, this should push Baghdad to move quicker, which would also push the need to revise the value of the currency. I'm not a fan AT ALL of the recent deal with Iran, but perhaps there's a silver lining, as you pointed out. Cheers, and thank you for the question. JUST because? No, and you're onto a good line of thought there. Why would Kuwait willingly say "Ahh, whatever... pay us whenever." I just can't see that happening without a good reason. It's not going to hurt the IQD immediately, but obviously $2 oil isn't going to help with a higher RV number. The good news is it really doesn't influence the "if" or "when" part of this deal. It only affects the "how much" part. Another good question from NYK In my opinion, Abadi isn't the type to make a public spectacle out of Maliki. Abadi isn't a bloodthirsty type of leader, and it's going to take a little more provocation from Maliki before Abadi is finally forced to stop ignoring the shenannigans. Until Maliki actually does something that makes a difference, and hurts Abadi, I think Abadi is just going to ignore him. Maliki is a pest right now, but that's pretty much all he is. That and the LION in Milwaukee! What's going on around here?!?! ======================================= That's it for now everyone - I'm keeping my finger on the pulse, and I'll let you know when things are moving for us. Have a great day!
  17. Hey hey happy Wednesday! Let's get right to the meat and potatoes here - there's a lot going on, and even a little excitement building amongst my closest Iraqi contacts, but as of right now - no HCL, so no RV. That's the bottom line. There is a lot of buzz about a couple of major dinar dealers getting shut down or investigated. The naysayers out there are using this as an excuse to continue their naysaying, but your buddy Adam is here to set the record straight. The dinar is still NOT a scam. If someone told you that you were guaranteed to be rich by last week, it's possible that someone misled you and perhaps they were misled by someone else, but the dinar itself is not a "scam". There is great potential for the Iraqi Dinar to rise in value, be it a little or a lot, and we all have every right to own it, hold it, and gain from it. The companies that are being investigated or shut down all have one thing in common, and it's something I have preached against since the very first time it was mentioned: Dinar Reserves. To keep this real simple, "Reserve" orders have been offered in several different forms over the years - some 10% down, some true "layaway" type plans, etc etc. The fundamental similarity between them all is the customer would send in money and not receive anything in return other than the OPTION to convert their deposit into a full order at some time in the future. Where the businesses got in trouble is right there in capital letters: OPTION. As registered Money Service Businesses, they are all under a microscope at all times, and the alphabet gangs do not play around when it comes to things that involve OPTIONS. As successful business people, these companies should have all known better... but I think greed probably got the best of them and suddenly their brains stopped working, and they never paid a good attorney to look at their business model and make sure they were staying within the law. We've been discussing this a little in the VIP section, but we all know it's important for everyone to understand how this will affect you, so I wanted to bring my comments out here as well. Here is what I posted earlier this week: Here's my personal opinion: Reserves were never a good idea, but if I had bought into it, I would do two things right now. 1. I'd call the company and ask if I can immediately complete my "Reserve" order. 2. If I don't have the cash to do that, or the company cannot fulfill the order for any reason, I'd shrug my shoulders and chalk it up as "lesson learned". (P.S. The lesson is titled "listen to Adam!" ) And now on another topic, I've got some of the craziest news you may have ever heard... I'm not even sure I believe it yet... are you ready for this? LUIGI is actually getting GREEN rocks for once! I know, I know... half of you are either on the ground laughing or ready to stop reading my updates forever if I'm going to pull your leg like this... but it's true. Check it out: http://goo.gl/RTCD7T Then scroll down to post 15, where our hard-working yota brings the evidence to support the original post. In a nutshell, the IMF is actually putting pressure on Iraq to get moving, and the timeline is less than 2 months. I've always said that the IMF can't force Iraq to RV, or anything else for that matter. The CBI and GOI will do what it wants, when it wants... but this is looking like good pressure on Iraq, and that's part of why my contacts are starting to crank up their enthusiasm. Let's get to the weekly Q's Your bible quote reminds me of one of my favorite sermons ever, where my favorite pastor gave us a great education on how things were measured back then.... thanks for putting that smile on my face. I don't trust Iran at all. Iraq may have a lot of corruption and problems, but I like their fundamentals and the direction I believe they are going. I cannot say anything remotely similar about Iran. Two comments on this one: First, I screwed up my summer by getting involved in some very complicated and time-consuming business ventures at the worst possible time... but when opportunity knocks, I like to answer, so I guess I've made a calculated sacrifice. I'm still torn about how I feel about it... imagine your ex that screwed you royally going off a cliff in your brand new sports car. Mixed emotions, right? But thank you for the gracious thoughts. Second, The majority of my work, research, planning, and investing of my time on behalf of the VIP/OSI members has been concentrated on larger dollar amounts, and I've been very careful to make sure I didn't get myself into the very pickle we now see some of these dinar dealers in. Presenting investment opportunities to people is a very serious situation, and I take great precautions to make sure I'm protecting myself, my family, and my investors. With that said, let me give you a straight answer. I am personally involved in a variety of investments that are getting to a stage that might allow me to take on smaller investors. I will indeed give VIP members the first opportunity to be part of these investments, regardless of where we are with the dinar. That's a great question, and I want to answer it in a way that might change how people are looking at this. You believe that the RV is being delayed, but what if it's not actually delayed... and things are actually proceeding exactly as planned and needed? When people think the RV is "delayed", that's because they think it was "scheduled" for an earlier date. It's my opinion that the change in the value of the dinar has been and always will be a very careful process, and it probably doesn't have a specific date. In order for the RV to be successful, we have always needed a specific situation to be present. Way back in the very beginnings of this site, I always said we need 3 things: GOI, CH7, and HCL. We have GOI. We have CH7. Now we just need HCL, and we are really really close! He lost me at "RV is about to happen soon". Maybe it is, maybe it's a week out, maybe it's months or years. Nobody knows for sure, and until we have an HCL, it's not going to happen. If he's being fed by a pumper, I'll give the pumper credit for mentioning the anti-laundering act, because that's actually true. But anyone claiming to know the date is misled, mistaken, or misinformed. There is a great chance that it's this year, and I love you too! I think you were linking to something similar to what I posted above, and I also think these things will all tie together at some point. I like October. Another good post, well thought out and insightful. I think we could spend quite a bit of time philosophizing post-RV, provided we have the time to do so in the whirlwind of it all. Iran isn't stupid. Unfortunately for us, our leaders are. So... yes, if Iran gets their billions overnight, it could very well be in their best interests to take that kind of action immediately. I wish we had the kind of leadership to prevent them from being successful in such a move, but we do not, and Iran knows this. Iraq knows this as well, which will hopefully give them further incentive to push things along faster. ================================================================ And until my next post... !!!!
  18. Happy Wednesday all! We're finally through the tedious... slow... agonizing days (which felt like months or years!) of Ramadan. Before I continue, I want you to all be aware of something. It's a two (2) part deal: 1. I don't get paid by anyone to fluff this deal, which is part of why I was able to take some time off last month. I enjoyed ALL of it! I can tell you all without any reservation that what you see is what you get with me... I didn't see much opportunity for action during Ramadan, and I decided to take some PTO. Thank you all for understanding. 2. With that said, I'm actually eager to see what comes out of the next meetings of Parliament, IMF, GOI, CBI, and a few others. Some of us have been around long enough that we give the current situation a "wise eye" and some of you are hesitant to get excited... I get that. I'm in the same boat. I am a bit hesitant to get excited when it comes to Iraq, just like many of you. BUT... BUT! Something feels different right now. I'm tapped into people that watch political movements there. I'm constantly scanning the headlines. I'm on multiple government mailing lists. I'm all over this stuff. We're only a few days outside of Ramadan, so I'm not surprised to see that there's a lack of major news, much less an RV. That doesn't mean I am not confident that the IQD will gain value. In fact, I am VERY confident that the IQD will gain value! I don't think any of us will lose a penny on our IQD (unless you lopster-out and sell at a loss, but that's not my fault!) With all that said... we're just barely out of Ramadan, so I will wait to see what happens over there in the coming days before I set my course as not only an individual, but also as the guy that gets up here every week and posts comments on the situation. My overall feeling on the Iraqi Dinar right now is positive, so let's skip to the Q's while we wait for Ramadan to wrap up and let the Iraqi people get back to work. ================= Weekly Q's ====================== Hey CR - that's a great question, and I wish I had a definitive answer. I don't. We're going to have to watch the news and see how it goes. We might be on a fast-track, or we might be looking at a couple months before they get cranking. I'm not going to pretend I know the future. I have high hopes for the next few weeks, which is rare for me, but just the same... I know better than to get too excited before I have some solid news. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give ISIS a 1.4 Hopefully some lucky CBI mucky-mucky was able to use them for wallpaper in their bathroom. Otherwise I assume they were burned, shredded, or sent to Maliki? I can't foresee every single note being serial-number checked, so... what could they do? I don't think it's an issue that will affect the average speculator. The CBI is well aware that their currency is benefiting criminals, but that's no different than how "The Shorty" (El Chappo) is benefitting from whatever USD he might have. Thanks for specifying that you are asking my opinion! IMO - I'm heavy on cash, medium on stocks, and light on bonds for the short term. When we see a significant change, I'm watching the situation closely and I'll be sending the VIP members my feedback, as it changes, which I expect to be often. Excellent question, my friend! ============================================== Thanks for tuning in for the "weekly". I'm watching and ready to report... keep it classy!
  19. Hey hey hey! Sorry it's late in the day friends! My internet was out earlier and that threw a big 'ol monkeywrench in my day... not to mention spending a few hours on the phone listening to government "hold" tunes and a few other things. No problems now, though, I am back online and back on track! I took last week off from doing the weekly update, but I didn't stop studying the news or communicating with my people. As I suspected, Ramadan once again seems to be the killer of all things great in the story of Iraq's journey "Back From Saddam"... but that's not all that bad. It's just a matter of time, as most things are. In this case, the "time" we are looking at has a defined end, and that end is July 17th. With that said, it's still Ramadan... so here's the Q's! ============================================== I'm guessing that was a general email, not a specific chat link. If you click this link, then look on the right side of the page you should see a button that says "follow this forum" - if you click that, you'll get a notification when new threads are posted.z No change since a month ago Tex! We're looking good, but Ramadan is here, so... The Iraqi man on the street is probably less concerned about an RV than us, because he has probably lost faith in his politicians a long time ago... but he will be happy for any benefit he receives from their actions, just like we will. OGIT is solid. I'm seeing a lot of articles recently to the contrary. ISIS stronghold capital surrounded by Kurds and allies Peshmerga stop 600-strong ISIS attack south of Kirkuk That was just from a quick search - you can find more if you look. I'm not optimistic about anything right now because Ramadan... well, because Ramadan. I don't know why, but I always read your caps in a SQUEALING voice. Please stop SQUEALING at me Hey Mex, thanks for the thoughtful post - if you're looking for investments in Cuba, I have nothing. I'm not saying there's no opportunity there, I just haven't personally invested the time to find it, and I will never recommend anything unless I've personally been involved. Dominican Republic is another story - I've been pretty active there and a few other central america locations, and I'll be sharing those with the VIP members as they come along. How did I come into the IQD? That's a long story that needs to be started at 9 AM or earlier, on a beach, in flip flops and tank tops, with nothing on the calendar. I'm not that lucky today Regarding Hannah... SMH. :smh: I blame it on her mother. I don't think I need to add anything to those two posts! ======================================== That's it for the questions, so I'll just leave you with this one thing - we're almost done with Ramadan. It's possible for something big to happen in the next 10 days, and if it does I'm going to be the first one in your inbox, phone, text, and I might be the first one in the chatroom as well. But if Ramadan goes like it normally does, things just slow down over there. Negative Nancys like to say "oh nothing ever gets done", but I disagree - a LOT has been accomplished in a very short time over the last 6 months, and I'm optimistic about the situation. I'm looking forward to seeing things pick up pace again... but not in the next 10 days. Give it a week and a half, and then let's see what happens. I plan on doing the regular weekly update on next Wednesday. It might be a short one, but that's up to Iraq.
  20. Good morning and Happy Wednesday all! Not much happening in the news lately, and pretty much all of my contacts in Iraq have gone silent this past week... which tells me we're not going to see any activity during Ramadan, much like past years. In fact, it's been a little quiet in the past month as well, which is kind of a bummer - Abadi came in with a bang, got people motivated to work together and make some progress, and they did! Iraq was on a downhill scream for the first few months, and then... silence. It's my suspicion that everyone is resting up, and we'll see more positive progress after Ramadan. One interesting "note": http://goo.gl/0ll1J4 Just a short while ago, they were talking about the possibility of 50k+ notes by the end of the year, but that talk fizzled pretty quick. Now there's this article about smaller notes! It just goes to show that the articles they pump out don't mean a thing. When they are ready to make a significant change, it won't be preempted by relevant news articles. The exact opposite is true! They aren't going to give any more clues than they absolutely have to, if that... so I'll just hang on to what I have, stay prepared, and enjoy the nice weather while Iraq takes a few weeks off. Here's the weekly Q's! 1. Are you accusing Iraq of being honest, acting with integrity, and honoring Laws? 2. Certainly not the greed of us speculators! We're nothing more than a gnat on their shoulder. As much as we stand to gain, the PTB in Iraq stand to gain much, much more. That's a good question! It is not entirely necessary for them to revalue to improve their economic situation, but it's certainly the most aggressive and fastest way to do it. 4 months ago I would have said "ABSOLUTELY". Now I have to back up and say "Let's see what happens after Ramadan" - the month of August will tell us what to expect from Iraq in the short term. HCA is an Agreement, HCL is Law - we want the Law. This has been the most important step for quite some time, and it still is. 1 Trillion is a lot when we're hoping they increase the value of their dinar... the good news is they don't have to use the entire amount. A .10 RV could actually eliminate the need to use most of that amount. This is one reason why I've never really worried about article 8 - it's just not that important. Credit Rating - we're still waiting for this news, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it take another 3-6 months. Either way, the credit rating is not going to affect what the CBI does. It's good to see Iraq taking that step, but again - not a major issue for us. Bond offering - this isn't something I've been excited about. I'm not upset about it, either. It's just SOP and a revalued currency would be applied as simple math. Delete the zeros - could go either way. Doesn't matter, and we won't know until they do it. I talk about this at least once a month, and I also discussed it in depth in my book "RV Intel" - VIPs can get it for free here: http://iqd.me/l/rvintel ======================================================= FYI everyone, you already know my stance on Ramadan - I don't see anything major happening until it's over. With that said, there will be no Q&A next week. I'm going to take some time to be with family and wrap up a couple of personal business projects I'm working on. I'll be keeping up with the news, so if anything big happens, I'll definitely pop in! And of course I'll be keeping up in the VIP section, so no change there. I'll see you here in the chat section in a couple weeks. (Let the backlash begin! )
  21. Good afternoon, gang! In the news... HOLY SMOKES, The Donald actually threw his hat in the ring for the 2016 Presidential race! I've watched this guy for years. If you didn't know, he's really rich... and he's toyed with the idea of running for President the last few elections, but I always thought he was just doing it as a publicity stunt. I thought he'd never actually do it. As of this press conference, I guess I was wrong! If he doesn't back out, I think he will win. And I like winning, too, so I put some money on his victory - right now you can get +4000 odds on him! http://goo.gl/3KllAc Register. Once you're in your account, click on Politics, then 2016 Election, then "Candidate to Be Elected". Donald Trump is currently +4000 - betting $50 on him wins $2000! Of course, that's not a lot of money... and I'll also bet that by next November, the dinar will have RV'd and you'll wish that $50 bet was $500, so you could win $20,000... but there's no guarantee that he won't pull out at some point, so I just kicked $50 in. Do what you want! But like him or not, if he stays in it for the long haul, he's probably one of the only people that can beat Hillarious. We shall see! This will be good entertainment, at the very least. I'm not "really rich" like Donald, but I am "REALLY excited" to watch him win the election and then spend my $2000 on something silly that I don't even need, like a gold faucet or something. I'm serious! If he stays in the running, if he really goes all the way, there is NOBODY that will beat him. It's like free money! Get yours here: http://goo.gl/3KllAc Ahhh... if you can't tell, I'm just bubbling with giddy over that, but let's move on. The Iraqi Dinar! Here's what's going on: Today starts Ramadan. With the lack of major news in the last month, I don't see an RV until after July 17, when Ramadan is over. If you have a VIP subscription, and it's coming up to renew in that timeframe... stop screwing around with the 3 month deals. Take advantage of this discount "newsletter20" at http://iqd.me/l/order , get your lifetime VIP membership, we will send your Certificate immediately, and then just chill out knowing you will never have to worry about missing a payment here ever again. (Did I mention how giddy I am about Trump running for President?! This election season is going to be a RIOT!) Even a small $10 wager on this site ( http://goo.gl/3KllAc ) will return enough to treat your family to a VERY nice meal! Here's the weekly Q&A: Unless we get an announcement today, I'm thinking it's not going to happen during the holiday. (I've been wrong before, but that's my opinion!) I'm not quite ready to go bi-weekly. Also, I still think the HCL is really the main thing we're looking for. Unfortunately, I think they missed a big opportunity to get it done a month ago, and their lack of followthrough on a good opportunity will set this back another month now. No date or rate questions please. I don't have any concerns about any dinar bought through Sterling. ====================== That's it for now... I'll be keeping an eye on things, as always! - Adam
  22. Haaaaappy Wednesday everyone! It's been an interesting week in dinar-land, and as we creep closer to Ramadan my spider-senses* are detecting a bit of nervousness amongst those of you that are hyper-sensitive to every rumor or whisper of plot and conspiracy that floats by. (*I'm not saying I'm Spiderman, but I'm pretty sure you've never seen Spiderman and I in the same room at the same time. ) If I can be a voice of reason in the midst of all this, I'd like to do so now by channeling my inner "Aaron Rodgers"... are you ready for it? Here goes: Re. Lax. We've been here before, and we'll probably be here again, and it does nobody the smallest favor to get all wound up about things when the reality is we have NO control over the final outcome. So, again... Relax. If you've been with me any length of time, you're probably already in the VIP group here, you've studied the information in the VIP section, and you're as prepared as you can be... the only thing left to do is follow the instructions once I send out that text message. With all that said, we don't have an RV as of this post so I'm just going to dive into the weekly Q's. Sorry Texas, I didn't catch that particular article. If you could post a link next time, I'll be happy to look into it! That's an interesting developing story... I'm going to hold my comments on it for now, other than the following: I certainly hope Sterling wasn't involved in any wrongdoing, and if it turns out that they are being wrongly targeted then I hope they are compensated for their losses. But if they were complicit in wrongful deeds, then I'm glad that I wasn't involved. I won't apologize for expressing my views. Iraq is moving in a positive direction, and I'm sticking with them until that changes. A few setbacks here and there is NOT a reason to "give up". If I had threw in the towel after my first few challenges in life, I would not have experienced any of my successes. If your belief has "waned", and you don't want to be involved here - just sell out and move on. Nobody will hold it against you, especially not me. I'm not begging anyone to stick this out with me. I can't say I have any inside sources on it, but to my knowledge the ISX is still a bit away from NASDAQ. My understanding is that first we need an RV, then about 6 months for settling, and then another 3 months before we have a realistic chance of seeing the union of NASDAQ/other major trading/ISX. I'm hoping to see it all done by mid-late 2016. Business as usual! When they make a major change in the value/exchange rate, the articles will be a LOT different. Lots of news, but the important thing for us is the second part of your question. There is nothing about the Sterling story that affects our dinars. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ And on that note... I've got some research to do on some investments I've been working on, so I'm going to take the next couple hours to do some nerdery. I'll be posting in the VIP section later. Have a great day!
  23. Good morning everyone! VIPs, I just posted a lengthy special report in the VIP section. See it here: http://goo.gl/34FA9l I have to apologize to everyone for missing last week's Wednesday chat... hopefully you all feel that I've been sufficiently beaten since then, and I'll do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again. (Or maybe it's time to switch to bi-weekly ) Of course, no promises there. Anyway, let's talk about the Dinar! Here's the latest: Parliament likely to vote in special session: http://goo.gl/ftZkEF Parliament to merge Rafidain And Rasheed: http://goo.gl/x0xNXZ Kurdistan bumps production even more! http://goo.gl/G3lWoQ Now, what does that all mean? SQUAT. A few months ago all the gurus and know-it-alls were yammering about the new 50k and 100k notes... now we're hearing that they won't be out till early 2016. A few months ago we were hearing from the Negative Nancys that ISIS was going to ruin this investment and we'll never see a return because ISIS ISIS ISIS. Now, where are we? Baghdad still hasn't fallen. ISIS still hasn't taken over Iraq. For years, the gurus claim to know a date. They have been wrong. And for years, the same trolls and lopsters run around with "I told you so" attitudes, but the real truth is they don't know anything. They can't guarantee that something "won't" happen, they can only say "I told you it wouldn't happen last week"... and they will continue to be right, until the day they are proven wrong. I'm just as positive on this IQD thing as I ever have been. In fact, I'm less of a skeptic over the last 6 months than ever before, because Iraq IS making progress. (I'm also a lot more patient than I was a decade ago... I will thank Iraq for that! ) If you're in the VIP section, you'll understand why my weekly analysis is short when you read the special report. If you're not in VIP, you can join here: http://dinarvets.com/links/upgrade Here's the weekly/bi-weekly Q's! Hang on, I'll run and grab my magic crystal ball! Sorry robert, I missed last week's update! I can't remember the last time that happened, it might actually be the first time in recorded history... but I'll try not to do it again. I don't know if TG is the type to take time off, deserved or not. Thank you I wouldn't advise anyone to be more than a couple days away from their dinar. Congrats on the name change! You earned it. I agree with you, half say one thing and the other half say something different. I try not to read too much into that - boots on the ground tell me it's not as bleak as the MSM says. And you know I don't do "timeframes"! I can't make promises on a timeline or date, but I lovvvveee youououuuu toooo! That's an interesting question... I think you are asking if there will be countries in Latin America that will be ready to cash in Dinars at the appropriate time? If that's the question, then the answer is YES, absolutely. My apologies if I misunderstood you there. The Credit rating is going to take at least a total of 3 months, and it's only been about one month. I'm expecting to hear more news on that in the next month or two. It might be true that *someone* gave them that credit rating, but that *someone* isn't the big one. We're still waiting on the big official rating. Cheers bud! I'm sorry my friend, I didn't have time to look into that one. I will say that I doubt Kurdistan will ever become autonomous, so that's a moot point. I made it very clear that I don't read all of the posts on this site. I trust the judgment of the moderators here, and they are very fair. Plus... who ever said this was a democratic site? Perhaps consider that nobody has a "right" to be here. You are all guests, whether you are registered or not, and it is a privilege to be here. You're welcome. Wow, nothing like asking for a full essay as part of the weekly update! I wrote an essay, but on a different topic. It's posted in the VIP section. But I will at least give a short answer: 1. Middle East: always has been and always will be chaos. This has not prevented high value currency in the past, and won't prevent it in the future. 2. Absolutely! Would I want to live there? NO! But is there money to be made there? YOU BET! And thank you for your thoughts on "thinning the herd". I've been considering it lately. Cheers my friend! Thank you for your appreciation and mature attitude. I'm not upset about anything you may have posted - life is too short to carry grudges or be angry. It's also too short to worry about explaining yourself to people when they get down on you, especially when you know you're doing your best for everyone involved. With that said, I've added your "Verified" badge. And you can always contact support via VIP@dinarvets.com I don't know what you mean by a "scam" - the dinar is a very real currency, and in my opinion it has a very real chance to make some very real gains. Most likely, the "they" you are referring to are the very people you shouldn't be listening to. This isn't about "Monday" or any other specific date. Iraq doesn't care about you, me, or anyone else on this site. This is all about what Iraq stands to gain and what Iraq has to do in order to make it happen. As of this year, Kurdistan and Baghdad are skipping along hand in hand, in more harmony than we have EVER seen. Kurdistan is producing more oil every month, and Baghdad is dutifully sending them the money they deserve for it. This is getting us closer to an HCL every day. The GOI is in better shape than at ANY time in the last 7 or more years. With Maliki out of the big seat, Parliament has made more progress already this year than the entire last 5. I'm sorry it didn't happen last Tuesday like a few of the gurus promised... but I will not apologize for remaining positive here. And on that note, I'd like to wish you all a wonderful day and a great start of your summer. Warmest regards to all my friends in DinarLand, even those that see nothing but doom and gloom.
  24. Good morning fellow Dinarians out there in Dinar-land! Today is Wednesday, 13th of May, and I don't have any secret intel today. (If I did, I couldn't share it anyway!) Before I get to the Q&A, something occurred to me this morning. It occurs to me that people tend to get hung up on the small details a lot of the time, and they forget to look at the big picture. I remember one of my last trips to Abu Dhabi, I ended up sitting next to a Sheik wearing the long robe and a baseball cap (I think it was blue with the Yankee logo on it). I notice in his front pocket a very flashy pen... it was absolutely stunning! Once we got off the plane, I connected to the airport wifi... and did some image searches... wouldn't you know it, I found the pen that guy was toting around in his pocket like it was some ordinary ball point clicky thing. Turns out that pen had a few hundred precious gems in it and was worth TENS of thousands of dollars. Hey, you never know when you'll need something fancy to sign a new multi billion dollar oil contract with, right? On one of my recent trips to the Seychelles, I noticed a LARGE new construction taking place on top of a mountain in the not-too-distant background. Keep in mind that the Seychelles is a very small island, made of granite, and land is at a huge premium there. I asked my guide-friend what it was, and he gave me the name of a wealthy oil tycoon who decided he loved the island and bought a sizable chunk of it in order to build a palace on. Everything he was doing was against government regulations and completely unheard of by anyone else, but this guy had greased so many palms that he was able to do anything he wanted there. And I ran across this recently: Billionaire Saudi to build world's largest building, reaching a full kilometer. This guy is also building an entire city to go around the tallest building in the world. They had to dig down over THIRTY stories to set the foundation. The steel they are using is the strongest ever made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSGqUMECIVs Are you all following along with me here? Let me break this down in real simple terms... The money that comes from oil is mind-boggling. They don't have to live by our "logical" terms, and they won't do business or maintain their money on our terms either! The potential for Iraq to soar far beyond anything we can currently imagine is astounding. The potential for wealth simply by putting their feet down and announcing to the world "OUR CURRENCY IS NOW 100X STRONGER" is real... all anyone has to do is realize that we don't have to understand why someone would actually gold plate a Lamborghini... they just do it because they can. "The gold vehicle had a pricetag of $7.5 million, making it the world's most expensive model car. Carved out of a 500-kilogram block of solid gold, the finished model contained 25 kilograms of the precious metal." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2768199/Is-world-s-expensive-car-4-million-gold-Lamborghini-pictured-Paris.html So, let me just sum this up real quick... Iraq has a major portion of the stuff that makes this kind of insane wealth possible. At one time, Iraq had a currency valued at that same level. Iraq has been and continues to be on a very linear path to prosperity. Logic does not have to apply. They do what they want. I'm in for the long haul on this one, my friends. I don't expect an RV of $15 where maybe I could have my own gold plated Lambo, but you can bet your sweet little tush I'm sticking around long enough to see a good profit on my little gamble here. I'll see you at the finish line, and hopefully not too far from now. ========== WEEKLY Q&A =========== I haven't spent a lot of time watching it, sorry bud! I've kept up on the details enough to know that ISIS isn't taking over Iraq, as much as the MSM would have liked to have us all think that for a while. Can they? Absolutely. Will they? Possibly. Should they? YES, DANGIT! That is a good question. Sure, it *could* happen... but I doubt it will. Why would Iraq apply for a credit rating now after all this time if they thought they might not get a favorable ruling? Of course they could. I'm not worried about it though. 1. See my opening comments. They don't have to do anything logical. 2. When the new notes are actually printed, we should start paying attention. Until then, it's just another article that may or may not have any real meaning. You are a mean mean person It's over a month from that date... but that's a good question. We've seen a lot of progress and great news on the HCL, but the recent credit rating news may actually become a factor. I'm going to hold my comments on the timeline for now. Shydude good perspective on the articles. They do this stuff all the time, so I'm not going to get too excited until I see something more solid than just a few articles. Not likely. However, if a foreign entity that doesn't pay US taxes in the first place does that, then absolutely yes. If you're not in my VIP/OSI group yet, now is the time! I don't even know for sure if they are really going to print the notes in the first place! Wouldn't it be something if tomorrow they say "Ok everyone, big notes coming out on Tuesday!" and then on Tuesday they said "Just kidding, no big notes... RV TIME!!!" "China dinar positions"? I'm not sure there is any such thing... and with that said, I'm thinking maybe they are being misinformed. If you want to send me information (in private) about these "chinese dinar positions", I'll look into it and at least give you some relevant info to send to him. Regardless, you are correct on one thing - those of us holding cash dinars won't be "out of luck". We'll have the same window as the rest of the world to cash in before they replace the current bills with new re-denominated bills. ============================================ I'm off to shop gold-plating prices. Maybe I can start with a bicycle. Have a great day everyone! - Adam
  25. Morning everyone! I'm going to jump right in and save us all some time. I'm efficient like that. A few weeks ago, I said I'd eat my shorts if something big didn't happen... well, the definition of "big" is apparently up for debate, because even after Iraq announced they would be applying for a credit rating from multiple major sources, there are still members calling for me to start cooking. Ok, I get it... with no RV, the least you all expect is some good entertainment, right? Seriously, though - that's some of the best news I've heard in a LONG time, and there won't be many more that big until the HCL is permanent. On that note, let's talk about HCL for a second. As of last week, we had extremely solid news that the KRG and Baghdad are skipping along, arm in arm, like never before. The news was a little misleading, as it sounded like they were already exchanging at above the expected rate in BPD. This article posted by yota this morning clears it up a little - while the Kurds are on their way to exceeding the expected amount, they are actually working their way up to that number: But most importantly, the same article is sure to point out that this is by no means a breach of contract or anything to be concerned over, because: Of course, none of it matters until we can go exchange for a lot more $'s than we currently have. As of right now, the ship is still heading in the right direction, so... we wait. And have fun. Sometimes at Adam's expense. Here's the weekly Q's... see if you can spot a theme. No further news on the credit rating yet... but that's not the most important thing in my opinion. It's still the HCL that we're looking for, and if the KRG and Baghdad continue to get along like peaches and cream like they are right now - it can't be too far off. That's a good question, and it could go many ways. One possibility is that once the credit rating is started, they RV, and obviously the credit rating agencies will be in a rush to get Iraq listed. It's a lot easier for the world to benefit from Iraq when they have a higher valued currency and are listed as a tradable currency. If anything, I see this as a booster, not an anchor. I don't know how long it normally takes, sorry! Not that pertains directly to the value of the Dinar, but I wouldn't expect to hear anything like that. If you read this update, and then check my last weeks chat, you'll see why I am excited about the current situation! Visit from the World Bank... meh. If it's significant, we'll know soon enough. I doubt Iraq will get a top rating immediately, but anything "above mediocre" will be enough to launch them! I NEVER pay attention to the 0 articles. Iraq is a master at manipulating their currency, and part of that has to do with managing speculators. Those of you on DinarVets may have a more grounded view of what's going on, but anyone who's never heard of DV might immediately sell their Dinar after reading that kind of article... without even realizing that it's a pony-show for the CBI. I will continue to ignore the articles and focus on the fundamentals: 1. Iraq is worth more than it shows on paper. 2. All Iraqis will benefit from a raise in the value. 3. What once was lost, will be found again. 4. Iraq continues to make leaps and bounds forward, against extreme odds. There's a song for you. See my answer above - it could be both! (I will add one thing - S&P is not required for this. There are other agencies that would work just fine to get Iraq rocking!) Hey waiting, While the opinions stated there could definitely be possible, nothing is set in stone and the CBI can change their plans with the drop of a hat. In fact, we expect them to change their plans just that suddenly. It's the only way a good RV can happen... they can't announce that they are going to do it, because a huge run on dinar would immediately drop the value back down. Hi Nadia, I don't have anything planned at this time... my hope is to never run another discount ever! But if we don't have an RV in a couple weeks, I'll think of something. --- Oh, wait! There is currently a 20% discount for newsletter subscribers. It's "newsletter20" at this link: http://iqd.me/l/order I'll believe it when I see it. This falls in the same category as the "0's" articles. I think the intent of an RV is necessary for both, so again - this is all nothing but good stuff! Article 8 isn't as important to the RV as some make it sound. With that said, I get the feeling it is on the back burner at this time, and that doesn't bother me at all. You should see my round file right now, it's overloaded! I'm still working here bud! See above. Jeepguy, you get me the number and I will make that call!!!! I appreciate that, Newton! And on that note, I hope you all had a great Cinco de Mayo! I'll be back with news as it comes. - Adam
