”War of Messages” exist between al-Iraqiya and State of Law Coalitions, that may end with fighting, al-Iraqiya MP says. 5/21/2011 12:54 PM BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Legislature of al-Iraqiya Coalition, Wihda al-Jumeily, has said on Saturday that there was a “war” between her Coalition and the State of Law Coalition, that began with messages and might end with fighting, with the Iraqi people being its victim. “Al-Iraqiya wishes to continue dialogue with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, because there is a war, that began with messages between al-Iraqiya and the State of Law, that might end with fighting, victim of which would be the Iraqi people and government,” Jumeily told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. Prime Minister Maliki is the Chairman of the State of Law Coalition. Jumeily said that “there exists a series of attacks against symbols and personalities of al-Iraqiya Coalition.” “We condemn the assassinations and detentions against the Legislatures of al-Iraqiya, because if such detentions take place due to a guilt and the order is issued by an independent legal authority, we support the government’s decision in this respect. But, if such decision is taken without any reason, such thing would deepen the differences between us and the government, within the current political crisis between al-Iraqiya and the State of Law Coalition,” she said. Al-Iraqiya Coalition, led by former Prime Minister, Iyad Allawi, had condemned the series of attacks against its leaders, legislatures and masses, by the government and security bodies, last of which had been the exposure of its Legislature, Karima al-Jiwary, last Thursday for histility by a group of persons, using military vehicles, against her motorcade on the Baghdad Airport road. “A joint Army and Police force, had arrested the Chairman of al-Iraqiya list in northeast Iraq’s Diala Province, Mohammed Taha al-Hadloush, after an attack on his house in Baaquba city, without giving any reason for his detention,” al-Iraqiy Coalition said.
