  1. Could This RV BackFire in our Faces? ughhhmmm.....well there is one possibility although i don't think it will happen. It would be..... LOP WITH NO RV!
  2. and punks like you talking out of the side of your a$$ need to be banned. IF this is the direction this site is going then I'm done with it. Seriously, this is bullsh1t....
  3. So that's what happened? hmm....more dinar drama BS..... I really like scooter and I appreciated what he shared but I didn't necessarily agree with his conclusions but I really appreciated the data he shared because it helped me form my own opinion. I liked his enthusiasm...and I found his stuff educational. I suppose its time to think about moving on especially since I don't see this thing popping anytime soon. Any of these dates or expected tasks we are waiting on does not absolutely mean they will RV. In the end don't be surprised if what we were waiting on was Iraq to be rebuilt w/ a healthy private sector because a countries currency represents the state of the country as a whole. What we know about Iraq in regards to the political / security situation and the lack of infrastructure and no private sector completely runs contrary to what the general RV expectation thrown around daily in these Forums. (newbs pay attention to that...) At the same if its your dream that u believe the carriage (RV) comes before the horse (development of iraq), that's okay nothing wrong with that just know that any explanation on an RV and how it could or WILL work according to the gurus (hehehe) is a bit of a stretch considering that its never happened before with other countries to the extent that we expect (1000% return????) Seriously, I wish it would work out like that but I no longer expect that.. Scooter leaving is like a candle going out for me.... and I suppose its best for the true gurus out there if people who've been around also left as well so they can get on with their tired old rumors and tricks they like pulling to pump newbs...
  4. Scooter, I really appreciate all that you have shared over the time I've been coming here. I will miss you just like anyone else here at DV. I wish you all the best Take care my friend
  5. I predict that once again Medic will declare the RV has happened with boots on the ground as proof! hahahaha
  6. I agree with you 100%. US stands behind him. I believe that. Although sometimes he makes me a bit nervous because I think we maybe losing him but like you say take a deep breath and let it play out. These waters are murky....
  7. Not big on Frank. I'm not a fan of mixing religion with investment or anything business related. People get emotional and they make decisions off the cuff maybe even drag JC into it.....you can get hurt real easily and feel manipulated when things don't go right.... Anyway, that's not how I want to roll...and besides, what is money to GOD? and in fairness to Frank, keep in mind this is someone else's notes so its not directly from Frank but the info shared is just....well it looks like so many things we see in our own rumor section or have heard in the past...are we supposed to be impressed with this? If a news article comes out tomorrow backing one of these things up great but I'm not holding my breath and for anyone out there feeling a bit vulnerable (newbies) neither should you. I still appreciate you sharing Ron. +1
  8. Iraq may have gotten pawned by Iran provided that the whole story is true.... or Maliki could have issued the assassinations and uses this story to divert attention from himself? hehehehe.... One thing for sure, its a mess....good job GOI way to help instill investor confidence.... We should have kept Paul Bremer's position govna of iraq, planted our flag, establish what we want, and then gradually turn the country over to them over the course of a couple of generations once we teach them our way of messing things up!!
  9. This is kind of a surprise for me. I had this idea that this would happen for Iraqi society but in this article they are talking specifically about the fighters in this mehdi army and how they have something to lose now if they fight....wow. Make no mistake though, they still hate our guts.. As we progress and more opportunity presents itself to the people, the ability to exploit (in my opinion) by leaders like sadr or terrorist groups like Al Qaeda who primarily use religion as their cause will naturally fade away... and not to get to far ahead but I hope Sadr will naturally be forced to move with times or faced being left behind with less and less power.... This would be a much better solution than the use of violence and unnecessarily turning someone into a martyr. I hope this is a trend that continues
  10. I agree with you completely. Going around some of the shops and solons I notice the music they listen to even if it's turkish or arabic singers the newer pop stuff is heavily influenced by hip hop / dance music. Its from us. The clothes and styles is either U.S. baggy or Europe tighter.... Its like errosion in a way...the effect of our culture has on other cultures. These hard lined mullah's don't stand a chance against Lady Gaga. It's kind a funny
  11. Gasketman, your just bummed out and its okay to feel that way. Go fishing or do whatever makes you happy for a while.
  12. Well we helped create the new dinar money... We probably have dinar plates so.... you know....we can just keep printing dinars once they revalue and take care of our debt...ughh pay off china....finance another war uhmmmm lets try Iran out.
  13. no naked cart wheels through the trailer park?
  14. I hope the ride is over soon but I won't be dissapointed if we find ourselves in september november....2012. This currency investment is more than just that. Its nation building and more and more I realize everything seems to be connected in one way or another to a country's exchange rate. I hope we are done in June that would be a great thing for us all but I won't start expecting it....
  15. Not to change the subject but this is why I get irritated when I see other people call Scooter a guru just because there are so many other people in this guru position across the web that are just throwing out complete lies disguised as "rumors" but Scooter educates you in his analysis and explanation of how things are unfolding. He makes nice presentations using real documentation. So yeah I'm thankful because I've learned a lot but I just wanted to tie that in about Scooter.
  16. these budget rates being thrown around could be met easily with a lop and a change in monetary policy to support an RV after. Other wise IF its going to be a straight RV they would need a radical shift in their monetary policy....i mean on the likes of sadam just making up a rate out of thin air... and that in my opinion is also possible. It takes two sides to make a transaction work. So if the rest of the world is on board with Iraq having that rate then why not? but that would be an AMAZING thing to EXPECT hahahaha I don't expect that....I'd like that though
  17. This MP is about as useful as that congressman we sent over there last week telling Iraq they should pay us.... IT's all political were reading about it in an article....its one sided b/s.... nothing will come of it
  18. Absolutely, i hope he can be bought off if not then he has his sights set dead on the throne and of course we will have to kill him or someone will. hehehe
  19. Some interesting points to mull over. I appreciate the discussion dalite and drox.
  20. Well someone has to step up and try to unify these people and I'm glad that Talabani is trying to do that However, Sadr doesn't appear to be one who does well with negotiating or compromise especially since he feels he is operating from a position of strength but at the same time he has put himself out there by taking such a hard stance on everything, anything less than getting his way such as the U.S. leaving at the end of 2011, will be disappointing to his followers and I'm sure is an issue of pride with him. That's what happens when you throw down ultimatums with crazy conviction and in their culture they are afraid of looking weak.....which in my opinion is a weakness in itself....especially since I don't see him as one who is prepared to die for his cause when he was doing his self imposed exile act in tehran..... Its like how Sadam refused UN weapons inspectors and allowed us to believe he was developing WMD because it kept Iran in check making him look strong and he considered Iran more of a threat to him than the united states, of course this was one of many errors in judgement on his part.... Sadr will be no different; he is ignorant to the rest of the world... But for a solution, politically speaking, I think the U.S./UN would prefer an Iraqi solution it would be better for attracting investors... Thanks K98
  21. Its not often do we actually see the term revalue in any document or article that's outside our little dinar forum so i guess that's neat but I don't remember seeing this document or maybe i missed it? Either way its very nice of this person starting this thread to share it again. Like easy said, who cares if its old? It appears to be relavant....so rejoice! Also, I think I understand now why shabibi is always blabbing about keeping inflation low... "Stable low inflation encourages higher investment which is a determinant of improved productivity and non-price competitiveness" http://tutor2u.net/blog/index.php/economics/comments/macroeconomic-stability/ Keep in mind, I'm armchair at best when it comes to this nation building we are speculating on... The thing that is working against all the effort being placed in drawing in big investors is the political/security instability and in my slanted opinion this has to do with Sadr and Iran.
  22. I'm surprised no one else has anything to say about this article. Its progress....
  23. Wow now that one has some nice juice!! nice delivery You should be writing for one of these stalled guru chumps several of them need help
