  1. yeah nice explanation if this were true..i mean its believable and I would be extremely happy if it were so but i don't think this part is correct:

    (a) Having the DFI ($280+ Billion USD) plus other frozen assets (estimated at $100 billion) turned back to Iraq and added to their foreign currency reserve, bringing it up to $430+ billion USD.

    http://www.iamb.info/

Look through these reports, they barely have $10 billion in the dfi fund...whatever they make they have been giving to ministries...and what money surplus were, was probably spent in the beginning and over the years funding various projects or even paying off war lords/tribal leaders who knows?

They can't even be assured that whatever was in the dfi fund were all the funds and assets that iraq was entitled too.

The whole thing has turned into a mess because you have these articles spouting off about 200 billion, where are they getting that figure?

  2. ehh i told myself i wasn't going to post here anymore but for this once i will make an exception as i think this issue is a bit important...

    "DFI does not maintain a

complete records of all frozen assets which it is entitled to receive.

Accordingly, completeness of those assets is not assured."

A general disclaimer or a reason to play stupid and with hold info from us, which to me is the same as LIE-ING!!

Okay lets assume DFI is like a checking account....

Is there a secret savings account to this thing? I mean seriously, all this stuffy talk and action by these organizations about how important this DFI is and for WHAT??? 10 billion dollars if that? Is that right?

yeah, and now i dont know what to think about these articles refferring to 250 billion...Someone or some organization is not telling the truth. PERIOD.

  3. It seems all the guru's have jumped ship .Just in the hour of need I don't have all the answers. But i have a lot of stored info on the whole deal I have been out there since may 03'. And have worked hand and hand (literally )with the iraqis .For any of you guys that have ever worked in the ME they like to hold hands. Its a sign that they respect you.

I dont know why all the Gurus left, but I would think it so they don't have to try to explain why it ant going there way.

My spelling and typing skills need some work, but it Because I have assistants that do that for me .Im a field Superintendent .I like to work with my hands .And my name is Randall I don't hide behind a screen name .

    To Adam,

Thanks for this great site I just wish i could have got here 3 years ago its been great .The MODS have always been fair with me.

this was approved by The RockStar my new name gave to me by Des. Inter.

are you asking for permission or applying for a job?

Just share it, people will either like it or they won't

  4. Well Done Drox. I am glad you shared your thoughts and I agree with it 100%. Everyday I lean more towards the idea that nation building and the hammering out of the framework / infrastructure needed so one day the economy can prosper, for people to have more faith in their government, for businesses to run smoothly

There are a lot of moving pieces to this thing but I certainly have to agree with your assesment that if indeed they come out with a 100,000 bill that would stave off Redenomination.

Of course if I see a 100 denom instead then I will know its over...

But why say Redenomination is their long term plan? Like I've always asked, why not do it now if your serious? They could have Lop'd years ago. Maybe they like us buying their dinar?

Maybe they never had an intention to LOP?

Thanks for sharing Drox, you help me think things out. I appreciate that.

  5. long term = LOP

    so why wait?

seriously, why wait on doing this. Its what I've said when i first came on this site why did they wait to do this? Because they need our participation to strengthen their foreign currency reserve? Now they have our money, we bought the heck out of it and we are a part of the reason they have a fat money supply... Now they are ready to do something.

Long term plan is redenominate? So Iraq, pass the legislation, Educate your people, set a date, and be done with it. That's what other countries did. Why this long term stuff?

and I hope Saleh is not lying about the long term plan...

Something else is going on if they introduce a 100,000 note in how they go about drawing down this money supply. I'm not exactly sure but something has to be done with the cash they have floating out there but whatever or however they do it, they need to get it done because the word is out that they are supposed to grow more than china over the next two years per IMF per Hillarious....So expectation has been set and how they get their act together with the currency being just one of a few things will affect the economy and ultimately the perception of the significant investors (not ever you or I) is crucial for the development of Iraq's private sector...and if u noticed the article today, maliki wants to cut a lot of government jobs. Its a stupid amount of people in Iraq that work for the government infact more than china's government!...Last cbi has not updated their key financials for the M1/M2 since April....

And I go by what CBI reports, I know they say things in the paper and you hear all these #s floating around the forum but honestly, provide me a source...okay? I mean seriously, gimme a break. If its obvious to you well then spell it out but don't expect me to take your word for it and don't take my word either look all of what I said up...

Lets cut the crap and get serious about this. all pumpers F*** off

  6. Drox, I appreciate your conservative stance on this. You are a clear thinker and a man who looks at the facts. I do also, however, diaagree with your assessment of the current situation. If you read some of the news coming out of Iraq, I clearly believe the CBI is about to introduce a 100.000 dinar note (a note equal to US $100) which is what the articles are stating. Everyone is assuming lower denoms but I am not so sure. Re-read the article and assume the introduction of a 100,000 dinar note, and it all make sense. We will see a huge windfall from this investment. Perhaps just not as soon as some think.

    Peace to you my friend.

Oh you saw that too? Earlier this year Drox had a great take on the 100,000 note.

There was a new article that said larger denom and small denom. I wish i had the link to it but that's what I immediately thought of.

If they do it so be it because they are not going to print off another three zero note if their intentions are to LOP. Cost wise it doesn't make sense to introduce new currency with wrong face value. Plus they talk about making it easier for the people to use the currency. This would accomplish that and hopefully keep our dream alive.

Nice catch Munson I hope its correct. :D

They're going to redenominate by removing the large notes and replacing them with smaller notes. This is going to occur simultaneously with the RV. They aren't recalibrating the currency, or further devaluing it. How hard is this to understand?

And they will support the Trillions they have out their? The only data I have to go by is what's reported by the central bank of Iraq.

What I would like to know is what kind of monetary policy are they going to go with to support those trillions (our millions)?

Would they be allowed to ditch the whole reserve banking system?

I know this country has the goods but those goods are in the ground.

I really really really really really really (should I continue? lol) want it to be true......and I had sooo much faith it in when I found that article last year....then after I detached my emotions from this investment my thinking got the best of me! sad.gif Its the only piece of ANYTHING ever written that states there were 14 denoms printed...just started to get harder and harder to believe thats all......just a random piece out of no where and there is never any mention from any other source about it...I know it could all be part of the secret plan to RV, but you would think we could pick that piece of info from at least one other source....maybe even from US sources that helped print and install the current dinar....if it were the case for the RV, they surely wouldnt need to come out with any articles about making a brand new currency with the kurdish language and they wouldnt need to put out all the deleting the zeros articles either......

MMmm well unless those missing denoms have arabic and kurdish writing on them, i dont believe they were ever printed or maybe they were printed but never used because they are worthless and if that were the case then maybe someone made a big mistake printing them kind of like the coins in Iraq and how they are worthless, not even in circulation. Might be nice to get some of those and add them to my kids monopoly set....

Keep, i forget to bookmark stuff and sometimes i have bad memory. What was the name of the professor that was a conultant on the creation of the new iraqi dinar? I'm trying to back track my way back to an old article that I read a long time ago and it quoted shabibi saying it was unfair of the IMF decision to carry over all the bad things from Sadam to the NID and I remember i was reading about that professor when i came across that article.

    Thanks dude

  7. This really sucks. Do you really think Shabs cares about the folks holding Dinar outside the country?

Well sometimes i feel like they sold their currency under this speculation to strengthen their reserves like they knew they were going to do this all along so they expanded the reserves, the money supply and after theyre done with that which they appear to be they will cut the money supply (our millions) but they still have our dollars in their foreign exchange reserve. When they complete this task the dinar should be just over a dollar if they go through with this without changing their monetary policy which as far as I can tell is full reserve or islamic banking whatever....

    I don't like these articles

  8. IMHO it means that the people will not have to go to the bank to exchange their dinars

To get smaller notes, that the places they buy products from can exchange the larger notes.

This same thing happened when Russia did this.

    Oh REALLY??

    I THINK YOUR RIGHT!

Well Russia "Lopd' in 98...notice how they talk about the three zeros before hand eeriie....THA THREE ZEROS!!! OMG WILL HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF!!:lol:

    ----------------

    August 04, 1997

From Moscow Bureau Chief Jill Dougherty

MOSCOW CNN The Russian ruble is slimming down beginning January 1, 1998, President Boris Yeltsin announced Monday.

The new ruble will lose three zeroes; in other words, what used to cost 1,000 rubles will now cost one ruble, Yeltsin said. (that's pretty simple, isnt that happening already in Iraq?)

The purpose was to avoid stress and trouble, Yeltsin said. Currently, Russians must deal with unwieldy currency in which 1 million rubles equals only about 175.

Yeltsin said the old rubles will remain in circulation during 1998, along with new rubles. Old rubles can be exchanged for four years, until the end of 2002. (Iraq also said this would be a gradual process...could be smoke though could be smoke  )

Yeltsin said no one will lose anything as a result of the reform. (oh same with dinar minus that 30-40% markup you got pumped into buying. ALI WHERES ALI?? )

Nobodys interests will be trampled upon; the reform will not amount to confiscation, he said, noting that inflation is under control and prices are basically stable. (Inflation Inflation same concern in Iraq)

That is why we made the decision to conduct the moneyreform, he said. In doing so, we declare today there will be no more inflation. An end has been put to it. New zeroes will never again appear on our banknotes. (hence, why they redenominate err I mean LOP! err I mean cut the living cr@p out of their money supply!!! Oh no not our millions!! How am I going to afford spinners for my corola?)

  9. 1. It is necessary to put central controls to amend the official exchange rate * to reflect the shadow price of the foreign currency,

    Read more:

And what is the "foreign" currency in Iraq??? Sounds like a 1 to 1 exchange rate. The dollar is the preferred currency right now. The only way they will become a one currency nation is to do a 1 to 1 rv. Lop my arse. Okay, just for you lopheads, reserves at 60 plus billion right now. Add a few billion from the DFI, say 20, giving you the benefit of a doubt. Then, as per IMF, monetize assets.....oops. Looks like they can supprt not only a 1 to 1 straight rv, but maybe even a 3.22 to 1. You do the research. You do the math. I've already done it. Or you can slurp up the scraps from some wannabe researcher who Keeps you in the dark.

    DUDE

That 60 billion dollars in reserves to back HOW MANY TRILLIONS OF DINAR? WHAT IS THE REPORTED M1 or M2 for IRAQ?!?!?? Wait, whats the exchange rate for the iraqi dinar again?    I don't care that someone pulled 25 or 15trillion out of their hiney talkin a whole bunch of BS....ITS MORE THAN THAT! YOU SHOW ME DOCUMENTATION

go to cbi.iq, click on statistics and then key financials....thats what they report..."OH THEY ARE NOT BEING HONEST, THEY ARE LIEING...ugh ughh ughh..." Whatever! Thats the info we have or allowed to have.

    YOU DO THE RESEARCH!

And while your at it cruise around to every central bank in the middle east website and compare their M1/M2/reserves to Iraq.....1000 times difference from 1 dinar to be 1 dollar without CUTTING THE MONEY SUPPLY (OUR MILLIONS)
