Was awaiting discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1980 (after spending almost 3 years in Sicily), and caught most of the spring concert season at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. AC/DC w/Humble Pie and Nantucket, Blackfoot opening for Nazareth, Cheap Trick, J. Geils Band, Genisis, Heart, Tom Petty &THB, Van Halen, The Rockets opened for ZZ Top, and Utopia w/ Todd Rungren. The only concert I walked out of that season was the Beach Boys. I just didn't feel right "enjoying" the concert with the "sea of grey" that surrounded me. No disrespect intended as I can now relate. So many good bands I wanted to see during the summer and fall months that year, that my discharge - and subsequent free ride back home to Missouri - prevented. Had the opportunity to see Aerosmith (sans Joe Perry) in a small private club in Philly, AS WELL AS (and quite possibly the best show I've ever seen) Frank Zappa with Jon Luc Ponty. That was truly a psychodelic experience Much embibement took place and maybe even a "dot" or two during this era. Since that time however, it seems that "life" took over and since then, only the rare "reunion" tour (REO Speedwagon), and the need to take my wife to see Cher's 40th farewell concert!

Thanks all. I guess I was kidding more or less, but there sure seems to be some knowledgable (sp) people in here. Unfortunately, I have neither the time or the resources to "test the waters" on the tax thing. I'm digressing to being a slave to the tax code til overwhelming precident is met. Also, my memory isn't that good anymore as I am becoming "chronocologically challenged". I would have a hard time remembering all that stuff to tell the cop who pulled me over. And certainly couldn't say it convincingly to the cop without busting a gut and ROFLMAO! :lol:

Okayyyyy. Is there a youtube video out there that can apply these principals to the IRS and my desire to hold out payment to gub'ment officials who do not represent ME (or mine)?

Hi all, the wife and I are wanting to buy silver on a small scale. We'd like to throw $75-$100 a month at this metal. Can someone advise us how best to approach this. We don't have much disposable income, but still feel strongly about this. Should we get coins? Bars? Should we go through a bank (if that's even possible)? Online or local? I've been a member here for a long time, starting back when I was working in Saudi Arabia (where I purchased my dinar). There is much knowledge and experience contained herein, so I'm sure someone can help direct this small time investor on a viable course. Thanks, Rick
