  1. I agree that 'they' are working on something much bigger than we could ever imagine. The only solace I can take from what is coming is that to predict the future, all we have to do is look at the past. No tyrannical regime has ever lasted for more than ~100 years before being overthrown by its people. The elitist few who think they have the answer apparently haven't read a history book. They will fail, the system will be erased, and we will start again....just like an Etch-A-Sketch. Personally, if this health care bill is tied in any way to the IQD, I'd gladly wait for our radical president to be gone before it finally RV's. But that is just me...
  2. Over the last few weeks I have read more and more on the forum, and lately I notice that some who question the logic are being labeled as 'bashers.' I can tell that there are many kind Christian people here at Dinarvets who truly have the best intentions, but isn't it fair that their logic be questioned as well? There are some people on here who's posts are outright rude and disrespectful (just look and they aren't hard to find), but unfortunately those individuals are causing those who are simply raising a different point of view to be thrown into the same group of 'bashers.' Just because somebody does not agree with someone else's logic does not mean that we have a different agenda. We all want the IQD to increase in value, do we not? In order to determine the validity of some information (that which does not come directly from the horse's mouth), it NEEDS to be questioned from every angle until we can determine it is indeed a valid source of information. Unfortunately there is so little unquestioned concrete evidence (until recently) that most posts need to be questioned, which is why there appears to be this growing 'basher' trend as of late. I do not tolerate people being rude and disrespectful to one another. We all deserve respect until we show just cause to lose that respect. Disagreeing with and questioning logic is a necessary evil. The only way to get the most out of every shred of evidence presented is to strenuously question it from every angle to find holes in the logic (as opposed to just taking it on faith), but only as long as it is done so respectfully, otherwise we all get defensive and nothing gets accomplished. A person put it well when they said that "you won't please everybody all the time", and they are right. Questioning someone's logic by mocking them is not necessary. Questioning logic and then being accused of "have[ing] more problems than just your interpretation of that sentence" is also not necessary. It seems that some people may be wound up more tightly than others lately (for obvious reasons), but at the same time we all need to be able to step back from the situation or we could end up very disappointed. NOTHING is guaranteed in life and we all should respect that. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst. That is what I am doing, and I respectfully ask that anyone who reads this at least consider doing the same. That is all I could ask... Enorrste, Adam, Sonny1, and all the others who regularly post information for the rest of us have done a great job presenting the information. Even though I may occasionally differ in opinion does not mean that I do not appreciate their efforts. Thank you for all that you have done thus far, and I pray that you all are handsomely rewarded for your efforts. Let's all hold each other to the standards which we would hold our ourselves and/or our children. Take care and God Bless. -Ryan
  3. I agree... There's a mighty big difference between the CURRENT exchange rate and the NEW exchange rate. I'm very pleased to at least see some acknowledgement of the exchange rate, but please, let's not assume anything other than is written right in front of us. Regardless, these latest statements are a positive sign and should be treated as just that, a positive sign...nothing more and nothing less.
  4. Now I know previously that on some forex sites that the USD/IQD briefly showed up 'accidentally' in the middle of the night. I may be mistaken, but isn't this the first time they have openly showed the USD/IQD exchange rate? I should presume that this a good thing, right? Someone else who knows more about it than I can enlighten the rest of us. I hope this is it...
  5. The IMF wouldn't approve a loan without confidence they'd get paid back. Furthermore, I find it hard to believe that a lop can occur, based on simple mathematics, but hey, I'm just a meteorologist... This is good stuff, and I remain optimistic. Thanks for the post.
  6. New to the forum. Hope to gain some wisdom from those of you who have more experience than I (I am only 23). Hopefully we can all go on an extended vacation in the very near future....
