  1. Everything was going great until the dreaded "soon" popped up. Don't hold your breath.
  2. "The rate will be $3.42". What, is she married to CBI Governor Turki?
  3. Proof enough for me that TerryK reads others' posts then re-posts the same info as his own.
  4. Sadly, if good spelling and grammar were a prerequisite to getting something posted, we would have little to read. Just saying...
  5. If he calls it every day, then eventually he will say he was right.....at least in his mind.
  6. An RV "in the near future" is akin to the Iraqi claim of "soon". IMO, don't hold your breath.
  7. Undoubtedly the fact that she is giving up her U.S. citizenship is George Bush's fault. Can't be because of high taxes, right?
  8. Oh now I get it....all I have to do is be patient and let it come to me. Why didn't I think of that since 2009? Boy, these guys are brilliant. Seems I read the same words last year about this time......just enjoy the Super Bowl. Wow, how time flies when you're having fun. Are the Iraqis having fun? I guess so.
  9. In the twisted way of Iraqi thinking and non-action, the fact that everyone will win and they will make a killing is proof enough that they will do nothing and drag their feet on RVing the IQD. Huh?
  10. I agree he must go, but do not underestimate Maliki's ability to survive. Things may get dangerous if he gets desperate. Let's hope not.
  11. IMO, the thing that confounds many people about this investment (speculation) is that the underlying wealth in Iraq (oil, gold, natural resources, CBI reserves) more than justifies an imminent rise in the value of the IQD to reflect this wealth. Yet, the GOI and CBI seem paralyzed in in-action. If they had no underlying wealth, that would be one thing, but intellectually and economically we know that a strong dinar is possible, if enabled, and most likely, if allowed to float. After all, the current low value of the dinar was artificially imposed years ago, not by market forces, but by the forces of the IMF, the U.S., and the U.N. Therin lies the frustration and impatience for me and many others. The only thing that is constant in this investment is that hope springs eternal.
  12. SW, Thanks for a nice contemplative summary of the current situation. If there is only one constant in this ride, it's that hope springs eternal. Keep up the insightful work.
  13. The worse part is that she will get away with it, along with this Administration. Four people dead and no accountability. Image if this had been on George Bush's watch.
  14. The problem with many of the so-called gurus is that in their rush to get out news and look authoritative, they sacrifice research and accuracy. Sadly, the "look at me" factor appears more important to them than the truth underlying their information.
  15. Studies are fine....unless they are a substitute for action, which in the case of Iraq seems to be the case. They are long on talking and short on doing. Let's just get it done.
  16. People are angry at Obama assaulting their liberties; IMO, they should really be mad at the mainstream media who have shirked their "watch dog" position as a check and balance on the administration, and swoon and fawn over the president like school girls. That they could stand by and be lap dogs for Obama while he dismantles American freedoms, and do nothing is unforgivable. We should be rising up against the media who got him elected, re-elected, and will protect him from all scrutiny and criticism until the day his 2nd term ends. That may be the greatest injustice that has been committed in this country since 2008.
  17. That all sounds good, but the real responsible thing to do with your windfall is to go to Vegas and put it all on red. lol
  18. Iraq's current currency situation is paralleled by few if any other nations historically. The dinar was artificially lowered by the US, IMF, and UN in response to the invasion of Kuwait. Reinstating it to its previous level through an RV would be just that; not a huge artificial increase in value, but a reinstatement to its previous level. That's the only logical reason many of us are in this investment. If you want huge gains without the benefit of historical perspective, take your money to Vegas and put it on red.
  19. IMO, for TerryK this is not about accuracy; it's about attention. Why else would any rational person keeping throwing out bogus intel year after year without results unless it was to satisfy his own twisted need to say, "hey, look at me". If we continue to read his cr@p and give it any credibility, we are the fools.
  20. Adam M has been talking about a .10 RV for years. I think the point he may be missing is that he is approaching the analysis from the point of view of a Western mind. He assumes that logic and reason are more important to the Iraqi psychie than pride. While they surely are motivated by money-making, they have shown little interest in making it according to the logic of the Western world. IMO, they will "make a statement" to the ME and the world when they RV, and it won't be at .10 After all, they are touting that they will be "a donor nation" by 2014. Tough to do at .10, .15, or even a buck. Maliki appears to be preventing the RV currently, but he could just as well decide that the time has come to make a splash to the world and "come out big". Just my thoughts.
  21. Don't hold your breath.....this is Iraq. They've never met a deadline they couldn't break or a "drop-dead" date they could ignore. And, IMO, threy will continue.
  22. You've just hit on the magic of the RV.....it's always just 6 months away.
  23. Everyone's fear in the U.S. should be creeping incrementalism brought by the Progressive Left. As they build a more powerful, centralized government, they erode the freedoms of the individual. All should be wary, especially since approx 50% cannot see beyond "what's in it for me" with a Santa Claus government, and understand intellectually what they are losing. She is right.....after America, there is no other hope.
  24. It should be clear by now that Obama and the Left want the U.S. to go over the cliff. They will then turn around and blame it on the GOP.....and, once again, they will get away with it.....enabled, supported and protected by the state-run media and the 51% of "low-information", clueless Americans. IMO, you can count on it. This is not what's good for the country, it's what's good for the Dems. John Kennedy, Hubert Humphrey, Tip O'neil and the rest of the old-time Democratic party must be rolling in their graves over how the Left has highjacked their party and set it on the road to eventual destruction. At some point they will be held accountable by The People.
  25. Looks like the U.S. is finally waking up to the thug that Maliki is. He should heed the words of Admiral Yamamoto after the bombing of Pearl Harbor...."I fear that all we have accomplished is to wake the sleeping tiger and fill him with recourse". Perhaps we have finally had enough of this tinpot wannabe dictator. Time will tell.
