I contacted a 5/3rd bank and they said the day you bring the money in is the day and rate you get it at. They do send it for processing but they do a preliminary check of the funds, give you your money, and send for verification. This is what I was told.

From my information 5/3rd ran out of the 5,000. bills but would still sell larger ones. I am in Michigan and I don't know if it varies by state.
