  1. Spending your money in this country will help this country, not blindly "buying american" or "using american banks". I'm sorry, but if a local bank isn't strong enough to give me the same rate as a foreign bank, and I will have 100k more to spend in in the American marketplace as a result of shopping around for the best bank... our "American" banks can take a hike. I'm getting the best rate. That 100k difference is going somewhere - I'd rather if it went to my local boutique shops instead of a fatcat bankers pocket! He's probably going to spend it on his house in Italy anyway!
  2. Please email your username and the name on the credit card you used to VIP@dinarvets.com
  3. I'm not sure how many attorney consultations you've had, but once you retain the attorney they usually end up billing you for the free consultation anyway! There is no such thing as "free", especially when it comes to attorneys. Anything they give you for "free" is nothing more than a pitch to get you to sign a retainer agreement, which then allows them to bill you at ridiculous rates. But i will agree on one point - most Trusts out there are a waste of money due to how ineffective they are, if not an outright scam.
  4. Warka bank is slow to respond. I think it's foolish to pull ALL of your investment out of Warka - but I wouldn't advise anyone have any more in it than they are comfortable losing. There is no guarantee on Warka, just like there is no guarantee on any of this investment. Phoenix, post something positive once in a while please. It seems like all you do is post negative comments any more.
  5. Just an FYI - there are ways that you CAN use corporations to legally lower your tax liability. Simply sticking money in an offshore account and hoping it's never found is foolish. A lot of people say "pay your taxes!" but don't make the distinction of legal deductions vs tax evasion. The highest tax bracket is over 35% for 2010... if you paid less than that, did you 'evade" taxes? Should you go to jail because you paid less taxes than Bill Gates? No. My advice is to prepare the best you can, but when it's time to figure a final amount - don't just pay the top dollar! Take your legal deductions, use legal tax strategies, and pay your advisors for their service. (sorry to hear about your friend being robbed by the government, but your first sentence spelled out the real message pretty clearly: DON'T DO IT IF YOU PLAN ON TRYING TO DO SOMETHING WRONG.)
  6. I highly doubt Tampa Dinar could buy out Ali, but why does this person have so many negative reps for asking a question?
  7. HAHhahahahha Great post, Vern
  8. Actually, there's a bit of truth to all of the answers in this thread. But what you're not taking into account: the debt forgiveness that was all over the news over the last couple of years. Remember the news from the last year? For example, China forgave a HUGE amount of debt... If Iraq had RV'd 2 years ago, they never would have seen the XX billion dollar gift from China. By waiting for a couple years, they actually profited on their poverty... and reserved all of their assets!!!! ........ Sure, they could have their wealth NOW... but that's small thinking and there are some very smart people in charge of this whole operation. Iraq is going to play the "poverty" card until they can't play it anymore. That's why they haven't RVd yet - it was more beneficial to NOT RV, I could give you 100 examples other than the China deal, but the end result is the same. The GOOD news is they are about out of excuses, and the IMF and a lot of other people know this.... we're getting close.
  9. Actually, I'll leave it here. This is a subject that I've paid a LOT of money to attorneys to learn about and be able to give actual usable advice to the VIP members. I know a lot of sites out there claim that everything should be free... and we have free stuff on this site too. That free stuff is called rumors, the ability to share on this site, and a lot of news articles. I had a free car once upon a time. It died and left me stranded on the side of the road. I didn't complain, though - because it was free. Then I decided to pay for a nicer car - one with a good reputation, a known history, and a proven track record. I've never been happier. William Hamby, I think this link is what you're looking for. Welcome to VIP
  10. Whooooooooooaaa, wrong section cowboy. I'll move this to the appropriate place
  11. eBay? I don't know I'm a business man, not a marketer.
  12. Anyone who wishes to share information on this site will not be censored. I have always allowed all kinds of information ON this site - but you are not allowed to advertise for things OFF this site. That is my right as a business / site / whatever owner. Anyone who wants to "advertise" on this site can do it through Google or by personally contacting me. Anyone who wishes to use this site as a launchpad to start another site, promote a call, promote a product or service, without clearing it with me first is breaking the rules - regardless of what they are or aren't selling. Next time you post, try to make it about Dinar - that's what this site is here for. Thanks. - Adam P.S. Buy my book. P.P.S. It's on sale
  13. Before this thread turns more negative than it already has... I think everyone should give a little (tithe + donate or whatever combination you think is right). But BE CAREFUL who you give your money to - make sure YOU give it to the end company, like the Red Cross or another established charitable organization. TerryK is not a charitable organization. Now if someone wants to open a thread about where to donate money after the RV, and use it in a positive way - I'm all for it. But I'm closing this one, we need to put a stop to the negativity around here.
  14. If you read the posts in this thread, you'll see why I rarely venture out of the VIP... the masses of negative and not-so-bright freeloaders that think this site and the good members are their personal whipping post steal a lot of energy. THANK YOU to the supportive people who not only donate their time and money to keep this massive site going... but also to all those who just donate a kind word once in a while.
  15. Wesley Snipes was sticking money offshore and pretending it didn't exist - that's just plain stupid. There is nothing wrong with using offshore accounts to protect your wealth, or even to lower your tax liability, but thinking you won't get caught for tax evasion is a completely different story! Large companies like Google use offshore banking and corporation formation to protect their money LEGALLY - what Snipes was doing was NOT LEGAL. Big difference.
  16. Spoken like a true VIP, and a classy one at that.
  17. 1. Presidential order 13303 gives us the right to invest in Iraq, it doesn't guarantee that any currency we hold will always be valuable. 2. Kuwait did issue new currency and they did have a period to cash in the old currency - your post proves you wrong, jmw. I quote: Read more: As recently as 1994 Kuwait did away with an old currency. 3. There is a chance that Iraq can re denominate either before or after they rv or don't rv. Again, everything I said is common sense and someone comes out of the woodwork to say "Adam is wrong! Adam is wrong!" Well, I'm not wrong (on this one, at least!)... but why all the hate? If you're not happy here, there are plenty of other sites out there. There's no reason to be rude.
  18. I'm not angry at all! Not sure where you got that impression. If you seriously don't understand how people trade currency just like stock, and currency can go up and down just like stock - I'll give you a link. http://www.investopedia.com/articles/forex/06/SevenFXFAQs.asp That should help
  19. Exactly. The most important part of that post is that you posted FACT that there was a time limit. Also - Try taking that original currency to the bank and cashing it in. They won't take it any more. What WAS a cashable currency is no longer, and there was definitely a time limit to cash it in. You're asking the wrong question, assuming Iraq is in 100% control of the value of the value of their money - they aren't! Why would Chrysler let it's stock drop? A: They had no choice. Why would we let the USD drop like it is right now? A: We have no choice. Why would Iraq let it's currency drop so low in the first place? A: They had no choice. If the Dinar comes out and floats, the value can swing very rapidly. I'm not just spouting opinions, this is fact and I've actually gone to school to learn the things I base my posts on. I'm not here talking about what my cousin's brother's uncle in Iraq said - this is stuff that any economist or finance expert will back me up. I think a lot of people lash out at me because they don't like what I have to say sometimes... I'm just speaking the truth, friends! Don't shoot the messenger.
  20. We don't know how long the cash in will be, NOBODY can tell you for sure. (Are you going to pay an extra bag fee or something - do you have THAT much dinar?)
  21. Four words: "Better safe than sorry". Some people would complain if you gave them a free car in the wrong color
  22. Thanks for all the support everyone. I didn't mean to cause an uproar, just wanted to share a little bit of positive thinking and common sense! If it comes out at $2 and then drops to .50 before you can get home, to your safety box, and then back to the bank... I'll laugh my head off at this ridiculous post. I've seen stocks drop quicker than that... so yes, I think it could happen that way. To each their own, though!
  23. If anyone wants to bring posts here, that's fine. Viper and most everyone else that ever wants to post here is always welcome to share. The one thing that is NOT allowed is promoting other sites, and several people in this thread are coming dangerously close to getting banned over it. I am locking this thread before someone decides to kamikaze themselves. ============= FYI it's been discovered that the several of the people who are no longer allowed to be discussed here had been working on a new site for over a month. That means all of their posts leading up to the incident that got them banned was an orchestrated attempt to steal members. If you think someone would do all that, and then not try to profit on it, I am scared for your future. I truly, truly am. Best wishes, everyone. Let's get back to discussing dinar. Members may come and go, but it's the great community here that makes this site awesome - not any one or even two "gurus" or "intel" people. Cheers.
  24. It was made very clear that certain sites and people were not to be promoted. If your sister disrespected the site rules to an extent that a mod found it necessary to take this action, you need to take it up with her.
