Dinar on deposit in an Iraqi bank will automatically revalue to the international date. Many people plan to leave the money in the account rather than transfer the funds to US based banks. Obtain a debit card to use against the funds on deposit in Iraq. Also, investing in Iraq will be one of the best investments in the world. Open an ISX account, buy an index fund then watch it grow. Repatriating funds may create a taxable event. Before doing anything with the Iraqi funds, professional advice from a tax attorney, an investment advisor familiar with Iraqi investments would be my first move.

So Warka Bank is still open? I'm really encouraged that interest is still being paid. There has been no response to my email correspondence since August, 2013. Same email addresses to Mr. ISSA and c.accounts as before. Really would like to know the status of my USD and IQD/N accounts. Is there another individual to contact? Since they appear to still be in business, how does one apply for a Warka Bank Visa Card? Thanks to all...... GM

Thank you phlip for this update of the WARKA/CBI legal decision. Also interesting was the description of the bank in virtual hibernation. No wonder my emails were unanswered since last year. Feeling a little better now about money on deposit. Earning interest during this period is a nice surprise.

There is a report that this info from Eagle1 was first published February 27, 2013 and reproduced on NEASRA in March, 2013. A member on another board resurrected this post a couple of days ago and has been circulating as new information.

Reports I've read indicate that "Equity" positions (shareholders) will be possibly lost/liquidated. Depositors are not owners/shareholders. My hope is that the deposits will be assumed or transferred to another Iraqi bank.

Terms limits..... Wish we could term limit congress. After a while... too much self interest rather than national interest becomes the focus of elected officials. How often do we see enthusisatic elected newbies head to DC only to be gradually turned within a year or two. A recently released prison serving lobbyist described the "turning" process as newly elected officials arrive in DC. Their own parties introduce them to lobbyist who begin the money game toward reelection and special interest legislation. I have a WARKA account and no email. I doubt WARKA would send emails to customers asking them to withdraw money.

Good company and been around a while. I've bought from them without a problem.

Dinar dealers make a distinction when purchasing circulated vs. uncirculated. More is paid for uncirculated. Otherwise, upon cash in....no difference as long as the circulated is in reasonalbe shape. A couple of years ago, I remember a post about dinar with printing on the bill and the CBI would not take the bills. In the past, I have sent slightly marked bills to WARKA Bank as a deposit without a problem. (Option not available now).

Oh!..... A community organizer is much more qualified than an executive in a billion dollar private business enterprise. Please take a chart and outline pros and cons of each individual.... I'm certain Trump can produce a valid birth certificate, produce all school records and will not demand that his past be sealed by the US courts. As a tradeable currency, the IQD will be convertable to any of the 161 currencies now traded. Also, if not cashed, then there is no taxable event, so no capital gains. Unless there is a time limit established by the Iraq government, holding on to an amount comfortable to each investor may be an excellent idea.

I have a Warka account and have been very satisfied. There is usually a day delay in correspondence but either Mr. I or a customer service representative have furnished information I needed. There must be two accounts funded.... One IQD and another USD. Without both acccounts funded, your Warka account will likely not be set up. If you have documentation of the wire transfer, it is probably in a suspense file and can be retrieved.

Who really knows? I'm banking on the possibility that the current value of .00085 will change upward. How far is anyone's guess except Shabibi and a few others. Here's the other side. When Brenner devalued the Sadam currency and introduced the current IQD, it was an overnight devaluation.... intentionally to disrupt the flow of legal and most importantly illegal commerce. So, since the sudden devaluation occured in 2003, why is it so farfetched that the opposite can occur? I'm not going to calculate the 1,000's of a percent but the devaluation was substantial..... by plan. The real question in my mind is what level the revaluation will be once the final trigger is pulled? Recently, every year appears to be close. Remember Christmas of 2009? Many were saying we would have a nice, memorable Christmas with obvious reference to revaluation. IQD is currently worthless and non tradeable in the international market. This must change. Tea Leaves of information constantly point toward an improved RV environment. Of course, I thought that last year was our year of celebration. At some future point, the valuation must change from .00085 cents. I'm not sure of $3.22 (as in RI) but why not? On the other hand, $.85 is quite a return on a .00085 investment. It looks like greed and greed hucksters are rapidly infiltrating this investment. Financially harming others is a real and present danger now confronting many joining the forums. Not speaking for Investwisely, but I think that was the message.

LOL... Mused about the same thing. I think it's beause initial information makes circles in the world of rumor. Once one or two respected posters pick up on the mantra, then non gurus start repeating the rumor. Then I think, creative minds go to work and try to further remake (mold) the rumor by adding friends or friends of friends or relatives, phone calls and emails to the mix. As more and more non gurus pick up on a subject, the general Dinar holding population begins to put credence to the rumor after hearing informtation repeated so many times. The remarkable angle to me is the phenomenal creativity alive and well on the forums. Then we have the utter volcanic anger exhibited by some who have fallen for the repeated stories, bought more Dinar, then blame others for their spending habits (greed). When the ride is over, I really hope a graduate student (or someone) will write a case study on our Dinar Ride. Then, if creativity is not enough, we have the Iraqi mindset to really throw our Western thought on it's ear. Personally, after 5 years, I have no interest in post Dinar RV discussion.

Your fluffernutter comment is strange an only underscores your ignorance of the entire Dinar investment. In addition, this statement is posted in the rumors section.
