  1. Absolutely !!! There has to be a central location for every bank that has the means to verify our Dinar. I "WILL NOT" let my Dinar leave my sight until I know the money is in my account.
  2. Think about this," Who does the threat of a LOP scare the most?" I hate to say it, but, the Dealers are the ones who lose out the most, if this LOP rumor has any credance. If you were a dealer what would you do? I would do everything in my power to "debunk" any talk of a LOP. I am not saying that I believe or not believe that a LOP is coming. Frankly, the only research I have done on the subject has been to read what is said on here. It doesn't make any sense for Iraq to do a LOP, when you consider that the main reason for one is to combat inflation. Iraq has the lowest inflation, right now, then it has ever had. Personally, I think it is a matter of "mis-interpretation" in the translation to english. But who am I. I know less than you do on the subject.
  3. You know, even if the gurus and the pumpers are all wrong, Iraq is going to take off like a rocket, economically, very, very soon. When the markets start to rise, then the Dinar isn't far behind. This video is a very positive indicator of the near future. Hang in there folks. Our ship has just sighted land. It won't be long before it comes ashore.
  4. I am pretty faithful in reading everything on this site and 2 others, along with 5 Iraqi news agencies, and 2 ME news agencies, and 1 Australian newspaper. I have never seen this before. I know that it couid have slipped past me, but I sure would appreciate a reference to some article, because the numbers being tossed around here are from 1180/1 to 1.18/1, depending on whose translation you believe. When you get back Doc, if you please, we need your help here. Thank you so much.
  5. The IMF does not have the authority to set exchange rates for currency. The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) is charged with the duty of setting the rate for the Iraqi Dinar. It would be an extreme conflict of interest for the IMF to set exchange rates for any currency. It would be akin to the Bush family setting the price of Oil.
  6. I considered the same situation when I first bought mine, so I purchased from Chase Bank thinking it might RV before I received my Dinar. That was 7 years ago, and I still think you have plenty of time to get your cash in hand. If they remove Iraq from Chapter 7 Sanctions, then I might sweat a little. But, as slow as they have been in the area of government actions, I wouldn't worry about it.
  7. When things don't work out the way we expect them too, it is human nature to get negative automatically. We humans are hardwired for it. You have to plan for that negativity and resist it. Remind yourself of why you invested in the first place. I invested in 2004 with the thought in mind that this could take 10-15 years before any knid of return would be realized. I was looking at the reality of the situation over there. Iraq has so much in natural resources that they cannot fail, in my opinion. They say Iraq has the third largest oil reserves in the world. I believe they have the number 1 largest reserves and just don't know it yet. Then there is the number 1 reserves of Natural Gas, number 1 in Sulpher reserves, they were called "The Bread Basket" of the middle east at one time because of there vast stores of produce, and that will happen again some day soon, they have gold, silver, platinum, and salt reserves to exploit, and right now they have more construction work being planned than any other country over there. These are alot of reasons to be positive about a great return on your investment, but it will probably take some time for it to happen. Be patient. The level of greed in our society alone, is reason enough for success. We are along for the ride on this investment, and the only control we have is over our attitudes. Stay positive, we haven't lost yet.
  8. Well, it looks like France has alot of faith in the Iraqi economy also. They didn't forgive 80% of their debt to France because they are a "nice guy". That was definitely an investment in the future.
  9. I have you both beat. I live in Phoenix, Az. Talk about worthless. My Cardinals haven't done anything since Kurt Warner left.
  10. My initial feeling of this being "fishy" when I first read your post is gone now. Anyone who can answer back as professional and respectfull as you have, after taking quite a tougue lashing for your post, has to be a person of high character. Welcome to Dinar Vets. If I can be of any help to you in the future, please don't hesitate to ask. I've been invested for over 6 years, and been on many sites over the years. Unlike many here, I expected this investment to take 10-15 years before any significant return. Could not pass it up once I learned of all the natural resources available in Iraq. Thought it might turn out to be a great addition to my portfolio for retirement. You have made a great choice. Again, welcome. There are many wonderful people here, and some who are getting impatient. Even the impatient ones, for the most part, aren't so bad.
  11. How does someone who is a "Licensed Investment Counselor" not know the laws pertaining to the Iraqi Dinar? When I received my certification as a CPA, the largest part of the tests, there are 3 of them, deals with the legal aspects of Accounting. I had the opportunity a few years ago to get licensed for investments, but when I looked at just 1 of the study manuels, I changed my mind. It is very extensive, and I believe the tests are "Open Book". I was just accepted into a Doctoral Program that I start in January, so, my point is that I am used to learning being tough. And I respect anyone who is Licensed to deal with investments. You are the one we come to with "our" questions. How could you "NOT" know about "Presidential Mandate 13303"? It was one of the first things I came across when I Googled,"Iraqi Dinar", before investing in it. Something sounds very fishy here.
  12. Your explanation is interesting. In you opinion, how does Chapter 7 Sanctions protect Iraq from world creditors? Is this protection explained somewhere in the U.N. Sanctions? If so, do you know which number it is? I started to read them once and got sidetracked because they are so long. They are pretty easy to understand though. That much I do remember. If you could help me with the number, I would be very thankful for helping me save the time in looking for it myself (I can be lazy like that sometimes).
  13. That is interesting. My wife and I went into our bank(B of A) with a $22,000.00 check from our 401k account with T. Rowe Price and I expected they would do the same. But when I ask the clerk she looked at our accounts and told us it would clear immediately. We were shocked. I guess it depends on where you go and what kind of mood they are in that day. I don't know how else to explain it.
  14. I wish I could wave a magic wand and you could be transported home. I cannot put into words the gratitude I feel toward you for your sacrifice to this country. This holiday season, I will be thinking of you, and praying for you, and hoping for your time there to end soon so you can come home safe and sound. Thank you Krash !!!
  15. It is interesting to me that these type of stories always happen on Friday or Saturday. Those two days just happen to be the days that Iraq is closed, so we will not know if this is true until Sunday or Monday. Sure gives people alot of time to purchase more Dinar. I'm just sayin........
  16. No problem my friend. For the longest time I thought Chapter 7 referred to Bankruptcy myself. A very nice person explained it to me in a way where I did not feel like a fool. I look back at that scenario any time I am answering something for anyone, especially a newbie, because I remember still feeling really stupid for not realizing that, being a CPA. After all, Bankruptcy is protection from creditors for "U.S. Citizens". When that hit me, I felt pretty dumb. Thankfully, I was treated pretty nice. I can't stand it when a Newbie is treated badly. We were all newbies at one time. Some people forget that. God bless you my friend.
  17. Wow, Keeps, been gone a few days. Came on this morning to catch up. So many are turning on you for speeking the truth (like that makes you lose any sleep). Hang in there bud. I hear ya. I still give you a "+1". Hope your holiday was a great one.
  18. I, for one, am happy to see you come back down to earth. Welcome back my friend.
  19. There goes another reference to bankruptcy. Iraq is not being "protected" by chapter 7, they are being punished by having the U.N. impose sanctions on there economy. Those sanctions are numbered-Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, etc., etc., etc. Iraq had Chapter 7 sanctions imposed on there country. It has nothing to do with Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. It is a coincidence that they sound the same but are totally different.
  20. I can tell you this, I have seen sites close down, with no warning, when statements like these start coming in. In 7 years I have seen 5 different sites just close up shop. I went online to check in and nothing. Not everyone on here is crooked. And some here really do try to bring the best they can to us all. Hey, its no big deal. There are 20 other sites you can go to and get the same info, right? This has been the most professional site I have seen up to now. Just because their predictions have been wrong, doesn't make them a bad site. Nobody on the other sites have been right either. Sorry CGBrown, I put this with the wrong post. Didn't mean you.
  21. Hey Chad don't listen to any of these guys. Your question is as valid as any other one asked here. The problem is, you won't get a valid answer because nobody here, or anywhere else for that matter, can give you an answer that they can back up with any imperical evidence. Your scenario has just as much a chance of being right as any other.
  22. I hate to sound like I am supporting "the bashers", as you put it, but the truth is I have been hearing that word "SOON" for 6 years. I still say it will happen eventually, and you cannot buy my Dinar, and all those other responses I hear when someone speaks the truth. I do have to say that people need to chill out a little. We should all be used to this by now. Don't let your anger cause you to lose your integrity. Especially you brothers and sisters in Christ. Remember who you represent.
  23. Again I ask,"When did the U.S. Government go into the oil business"? I keep hearing that the Dinar will be deposited into the Federal Reserve for "future oil purchases". The Federal Reserve isn't in the oil business either. Remember names like Texaco, Exxon, Shell, etc...... This doesn't make any sense.
  24. I don't care what anyone says to, or about, you. You have the right to be very upset. As much as you have invested. I don't think I could have lasted this long (almost 7 years) if I had that much invested. That is as much as I have in my 401k, and that took 25 years to attain. I wish I could say I feel your pain, but it would be false. Hang in there man. I will be praying for you.
  25. Now that is a great attitude to have. You are right, your friend must really care about you to risk being ridiculed by trying to help you. You should thank them, if you haven't already.
