You could be right about China....They will do anything to get past American Sanctions and get their hands on much needed Oil......I haven't heard much about China doing any Re Construction there...not that I'm any Expert either. G.E, Siemens, Deawoo and 30 plus other Companies (Privately Owned) are there or in preparation of going to Iraq....These Privately owned Companies will have people to Pay, Expenses to cover, Materials to supply.....Not Everyone has a Use for a couple Tankers Full of Oil.....China as a Country sure would however. I can't see GE, Siemens, Deawoo and any number of other being paid in Oil just so hey can find someone to buy it to re Coop there Labor and Material Costs...... Most of these companies wouldn't have a clue about how to dump Oil on a Secondary Market. There is also Article 8 and the Multiple Currency Practices that they have to use IQD to pay these Contractors (Read here years ago) so the IQD would have to be Internationally Tradable....So unless something has changes with the IMF, BIS and other PTB this should still be the case. Mary, it is my understanding that the Dinar will be worth the value of the Dinar "In Country" which might be 1 USD, maybe a little more or less. It wont be the same value there as it is here in the USA or various other places around the Globe depending on the Exchange Rate per County. This is why the drive to bring in all the Mattress Money held by the Average Citizen and I hope they are getting close to their Goal. I can't see with the Pay Scale of the Average Citizen them buying a whole lot of Dinars to store away. It would be sorta Like Visiting Vietnam on $20.00 USD per Day....You can do a lot in both Vietnam and I am sure Iraq for $20.00 per day....Eating, Travel and Lodging. Bare Necessities....Water and water Purification Tabs and a means to store it. You already know about food....Now all the Rice/Beans and what not isn't going to cook well without a heat source....An old Coleman Camp Stove or Apex stove is a Must and a Couple Gallons of White Gas. Ammo and hopefully you aren't behind the curve in that....A .22 LF rifle and or pistol at the bare minimum. I would prefer something more in kin to the AR15 and 5.56 as a Multi Role firearm and say ample ammo (1000 Rounds and mags as well) MRE's aren't bad and that is what our Military eats.....I have a bunch and eat them now and again....Are they great...well are tasty and you can add cooked rice, Some have real beef, gravy and some veggies....Add Rice A good couple good Knives, Camp Knife, a fixed blade you can carry on a belt and a Good Folder for in your pocket. A tent of some sort for shelter in case you have to leave your area of comfort. A backpack for you and everyone in you family with Clothe, Toilet Paper, some sort of radio of communications. Something to sleep in....USGI MSS ( Modeller Sleeping System) is great, covers a wide range of climates and can be bought with a Weather Proof Camo Bizy (water proof mini tent) Soy Candles in Mason Jars.....Soy does smoke like Parafin and will burn for hours giving both heats and light. A stash of those silly Mylar Space Blankets....They weight nothing and in a pinch they do work. Fire starters....Save your Drier Lint old Egg Cartons.....Stuff Egg Carton pockets with Drier Lint and torn paper from the top of the Carton and fill with melted parafin wax....Cut up into 12 pieces and use as needed to start a fire. Some sorta saw, hatch and axe....I like Friskars as they split well. I will add more if there is any more interest. Karsten

i will take a shot at this as I understand it. In Iraq they will need to due away with any and all Multi Currency Usage So a Dinar will remain a Dinar at what ever value it has In Country with a higher In Country Value. Outside of Iraq the Exchange rate of the IQD will Vary according to that Value of that countries Currency say for Simple explanation.....#'s just off the top of my head USA with the USD $3.50 per IQD UK with the British Pound 2.25 Pounds to the IQD Iran would be somewhere around .4 cents to the IQS due to the already lesser Value So each country would have there IQD Exchanged at what ever the Exchange Rate was at it That Country Not everyone is going to be Exchanging for USD but the Currency in Their Respective Country.
