The Republican party is dead in it's current state. It has become the party of Banana-Republicans who have no soul, compassion or integrity. Once this administration is gone and it looks like control of the Senate is going with it, hopefully the party will find itself and return to it's roots. I just finished voting (it only took 40 minutes) but it was obvious there were a lot on new young voters. People the Republicans have lost touch with. 7 days until we get America back on track... The democratic party has it's problems, but nothing like we've witnessed for the last four years... JMHO

    • President Donald Trump's golf club in Florida once charged US taxpayers $3 for a glass of water when he was hosting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, The Washington Post reported.

    • When the two men met in April 2018, the resort charged the US government $13,700 for rooms, $16,500 for food and wine, and $6,000 for floral arrangements, The Post reported.

    • Tuesday's report is the latest example of how Trump's businesses have made millions from taxpayers and the president's supporters since he took office.

So what, if you don't like don't golf during a event when the Japanese Prime minister is visiting and don't stay at his resorts.

Break it down, they charged 13k for 2 ROOMS plural 16k for food and wine but they don't say for how many people and 6k for floral arrangement's but they don't say how many , it could have been flowers for the large rooms , hallways and anywhere else that needed flowers.

None of this is out of line for penthouse sweets.

You really have to watch the tricky media they can always make something out of nothing.

Printing more high denomination notes will lead to the devaluation of the Iraqi dinar will reflect negatively on the citizen and will lead to an inflationary problem.

No it wont, I tried to tell you these notes are nothing new they have had them for years since 2015. They have a purpose, basically its a 100 dollar note at this time used for transfers between banks mostly.

Their list of grievances was long: corrupt politicians, daily power cuts, dilapidated hospitals, dilapidated roads, and a shortage of jobs.

Sounds like they need a lot of money to rebuild and they cant even pay salaries.

The government's monthly revenue of $ 3 billion is less than half of what it was last year.

So they might receive 36 billion this year from oil.

I don't really know where I'm going with all this but these caught my eye.

This is the best post I've seen in over a month and sums up exactly how I have been feeling.

  6. I used to think these trips around the world was boring news but not this time, ill translate this into good old redneck for you guys.

So Iraq is in shambles, the power lines are in shambles they haven't built power company's yet the roads and buildings are torn up to put it lightly so its easy to see they need a total rebuild. So this Kazemi guy head out and purchases a new power grid from Germany  and some transportation from France and who know what else, he puts down some down payments and signs a few contracts heads back home and rv's the currency at that point making the payments are easy because they get much more for a dinar then before and the countries holding the contracts enjoy huge profits from the money they received as down payments.

I expect we will hear of a few more purchases before he heads home or at least before they rv.

The CBI plan is to move to an open market economy, they cannot achieved that printing 50,000 or 100,,000 IQD notes.

Laid back never fear, they printed 100,000 notes at the same time as the 50,000 notes. They are only for large bank transactions not for the street. Ill see if I can find those old articles. This is cool propaganda if you ask me.

Looks like they are getting ready for the release of the small denominations. They need a smooth transition where both the 3 zeros and the smalls coexist. There will be less problems if there are plenty of each to go around. JMO - DWS112

This has been something I've been trying to figure out how they would pull off not showing the small demons to anyone or the cats out the bag, to take it one step further how can you deliver big boxes of currency into the banks without someone figuring it out. Anyone with any sense will know what's up the second they see fills being distributed.

    •   Yes the Federation Council is up and running. It’s their Senate, they are traveling along with the PM on this European Financial Tour.

I cant see a date on this one but the others are just old articles and Iraq has thousands of old articles. If this council is up and running it is working just fine in the back ground then it is just classified as the government helping get things done NOT really in the spotlight any more nor worthy of getting me excited about anything it has accomplished because I really cant find anything it has accomplished.
  9. At least a managed float wasn't to bad a subject to talk about, hell it could still happen that way no-one knows for sure how this will end.

And no offence Thug but that was the dumbest joke you've ever told here.

  10. Has there been any articles lately that have shown that the Federal Council is in fact up and running?

The way I've seen it was the corrupt enacted this law took the huge payouts and just let the law wash away behind them to be forgotten over time.
