I write this in order to vent a bit and to sound an alarm of sorts. Again this is the opinion forum topic so this is my opinion. I will be pretty blunt. Someone wise once said that you cant get something for nothing. That holds true here. I came across a Christian based financial site (possible oxymoron there) but the guy was genuine and immensely knowlegeable. He had a video that linked to youtube which made complete sense and summed up thoughts that I had which were similar. This is something you already know. Close your eyes and listen to your gut. There is not going to be that overnight millionaire, Publishers Clearing House knock at the door. It is not going to happen. IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, NOT DECEMBER 2012., NOT JAN 5TH, NOT MAY 1ST. NOT JUNE 27TH, NOT JULY 4. (seeing a pattern here?) I honestly do care about others, i don't want anyone to lose their savings. Please don't put anything into this that will hurt you financially. If you are willing to lose a certain amount - have at it! Miracles sometimes happen. But for your childrens sake, and also your sanity. Don't put any more than you are willing to throw out the window. And if you can't throw 100 bucks out the window, DON'T. Why do I give a crap....I don't know, Im just compelled to write this now. I kinda got looped in for the past few months and I have listened to some conference calls. I heard lot's of "GOD WILL PROVIDE MONEY" talk. What!? God will provide money, and money is the Blessing? Man, that is the wrong side of the coin if I have ever heard it. Search your hearts, if you do truly believe that this money is a gift from God that you will use 100% of to build churches, or shelters for the poor and homeless, then pray away! That is a very pious and rare ability that Monks in Monosteries give their lives up to do! I could never, ever come close to that level, and Im the first to admit it. But I know there are pious people in the world and it would be wonderful to have thousands of them working for that purpose. If you are in dire straights and you need financial help then God will be there for you, trust in him and the light will sheild you from darkness. But those who are praying for that house in Hawaii, or the Audi R8 in the driveway and pretending to be righteous. You should leave God out of this I am not one to judge, God is the only judge, but this is what made me snap out of it. That's just cult thinking. Protect your family and make well thought out, and researched decisions for your investments. The IQD is like gambling, or buying a scratchoff. There is nothing but rumor and hope. If it pans out, A-FREAKING-MAZING, but don't risk it all for that hit by lightning moment. Just giving some tough love. You have all been created by God, therefore I love all of you. Just looking at the recent auction facts. There are still millions of USD in play. Not only that, but a great increase since R2107. Common sense says there will be no action for some time to come, not to mention how a revailue will play out. Lots of other posts this morning link to the CBI numbers. Not all doom and gloom for Iraq investors though. Here's an article from the Motley Fool that says Iraq is about to pop. Lots of money is being invested there. But are the profits going to come from praying for an RV, or looking at companies to invest in? EXACTLY MY POINT. THEY WILL MAKE ALL THE CHPTR 7 NOTES OUTSIDE OF IRAQ, NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO EXCHANGE TO RV ONES. THEREBY TAKING CARE OF ALL THE SPECULATORS IN ONE SHOT (FLUSH). AND THATS ONLY CONTINGENT UPON IT EVEN BEING WORTH IT TO CHANGE TO THE RV DINAR AND THEN INTO USD. OF COURSE THE IRAQI PEOPLE WILL SWAP, BUT AFTER ALL, IT'S THEIR CURRENCY. I didn't intend to shake this forum up, and I think it's pretty inappropriate to bash or be rude. I was presenting an opinion (the forum topic). There are a few comments that I think make some sense here and I hope it does turn out the way they want. There are also responses that come from people that want me to "Leave you all alone"(LOL.....?), you probably should buy more scratch-offs to ease the pain. Remember Im just giving an opinion so take it easy....breezey. If you are "upset" with what I tried to present as an OPINION, then you are of the "Scratch-Off" ilk, and you should not have so much riding on this. That's a FACT. And what is also a fact is that nothing comes for free, or easy. Those situations are defined as LUCK, just like that scratch-off you just bought. Iraq will definitely revalue, but it's not the miracle overnight millionaire revalue. I think they will issue a brand new Dinar and it will be exchanged for the old ones. (the ones we are holding) 1000 dinar will buy you 1 new dinar. It makes far more sense. We also know that the Iraqi people use US dollars IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY and consider the "Chapter 7" notes worthless. If there is a small profit somewhere, it will be if ICB / IMF throws a bone to all those holding Chapter 7 fiat. Maybe you will be lucky and they make the exchange closer to 1000 old dinars for 2 new dinars. Thats how it will go down. I don't see any way Banks will give out BILLIONS of US dollars for the "OLD" dinars we are holding. The revalue will happen but it will not be just a gift to all holding Chapter 7 Dinar. There will be a new currency issued that reflects the sovereignty of a nation and it's internationally traded note. I say this because it is a fact that the Chapter 7 Dinars are not internationally traded or recognized. They are hoarded by speculators. If we presume that what I've suggested is what will transpire, there remains the massive issue of getting all of the chapter 7 dinars exchanged into the new dinars that are outside of IRAQ, which some say is like 80% of the IRAQ paper currency (assuming its even worth it to exchange). It will be next to impossible for all the people outside of IRAQ to exchange their old dinar into the RV Dinar because US banks will probably have ZERO of the RV Dinar. After getting the next-to-impossible-to-get RV Dinars, we then have to exchange them into US. Maybe try to find an Iraqi bank here in the US and ask them about that scenario. Will they have an RV Dinar currency ready to exchange here for the old Chapter 7 stuff? But forget Wells or BofA they won't have any. And this is all based on the assumption that the RV Dinar is worth significantly more than the Chapter 7 Dinar and not a 1000 to 1 change. This just puts everyone back at square one, where they should have just kept their US dollar in their wallet. Or maybe worse with all of the exchange fees attached, this exchange may actually cost some money just to get it all back into US. This leaves the question, what is this stuff worth now - if anything? _________ I put some thought into this, and though I was given my Dinar as a gift, I still have interest in it being a great surprise. I don't want to bring everyone down. Honesly, I like it when everyone wins! That's my nature. So I welcome anyone to counter this Logic with some facts that explain why this could not possibly be how this RV will work. I honestly think this is how it will go down. Listen to your gut.
