You are correct. After the last joke of an election, Maliki himself confirmed there would be no third term and if I remember correctly they passed it into law to help prevent any future violence. The CBI has been telling the Iraq people that the Dinar will increase in value very soon at a 1 to 1 rate. Thats if the articles are correct. If this is true, is it possible some of the venders are changing prices already especially if the lower denoms are being released? Just a thought.

The Dinar increased in value for several years until Jan 2009. It has been stuck at a rate of 1170 since then. Iraq has made tremendous progress over the past three years. It is clearly undervalued. Unless this is a typo, something has changed. This could be the start of something special. We shall see what happens the rest of the week. Good luck everyone.

I think there is a reason it has been at the programmed rate of 1170 for 3 years now. Move the decimal place over 3 zeros and make it $1.17. Thats my guess anyway. However, Im more concerned about the date than the rate. Adam, can you change your thesis on the date instead of the rate.

I will take .20 all day long. However, I am not as concerned about the rate as I am the date. We all know something is going to happen. WHEN is the bigger question in my mind. Chew on this article and rethink your opinion on Iraq. People need to be more concerned about the violence in there back yard let alone in other countries. This article was 5 years ago. Violence in Iraq has decreased significantely since 2005, meanwhile violence in DC is getting no better if not worse.
