I voted for 'Nam although I am a dependent of my first husband U.S. Army, retired, disabled veteran (deceased), 21 yrs + 82nd Airborne, 101st Airborne, Special Forces 5th Group. Recently remarried U.S. Navy 'Nam, U. S. S. Safeguard ARS25. My son is currently active U. S. Army (75th Ranger/SF 5th Group) currently HALO instructor. Go ARMY, Go NAVY!!!!!! GO RV!!!!!!

HeyJonesey! I was going to say, 60 is like 40 . . .what the heck. Thank you for the birthday wishes, nothing will spoil a great day. The anticipation of RV is like going to Vegas. I'm not a gambler, I go for the lights, blings and glitter. These gurus are the entertainers. You're as old as one feels and I've been feeling much younger than my age for many years. I'm getting married in November and the only thing that will alter the plans is the RV . . . GO RV, it's time to elope!!!! It's just exciting to 'think' this could just happen on my birthday, blessings for trying to be a decent, loving person. Gather up my grandkids and take them to Disney World then come back home to Hawaii and enjoy life. I'll probably put a couple of trips somewhere in the world on my annual calendar. Depending on the RV, I gave my husband his 'honey do list': trade in his truck in for a new model, call his brother in-law and offer to pay cash for the lot next door. Call my cousin realtor and have her set up an appt. to take a look at an awesome piece of land near by. I already have my list of things to do so I won't forget or get distracted it includes a couple of churches with close family ties, making sure the youth groups are helped out and repairs made so these churches will be around for a very long time. Heinzy444 how come I don't see any poke or poi on your menu? Looks like you're looking at Hawaii island with those prices.

A soldier from Longwood, Fla. died Thursday while serving in Iraq, the U.S. Department of Defense confirmed. Sgt. Andy C. Morales, 32, was assigned to the 143rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) out of Orlando. He was supporting Operation New Dawn in Baghdad when he died. RIP

Very good advise, thank you. I guess at first one doesn't see the 'down side' of doing a reserve because you're full of hope, not greed. I hope my friend didn't loose his $10k he put down on reserve.

Thank you for this post, our military personnel are underpaid, I think it's less than the minimum wage by law. I am a widow of an SF officer and mother of an active duty soldier. We are ArmyStrong!!!! HOO-AHHH!

I remember a pastor's sermon which has stuck for years 'don't believe me, I am only human, verify what I say with the Bible'. I am with the majority here, it's not a religion, it's a government thing, human made government, not God. Remember, it's our government trying to take prayers out of the schools and yet it's printed on our currency 'In God We Trust'. Here in Hawaii, the missionaries came to teach us about religion and while we had our heads bent in prayer, the missionaries took our land . . .it's human. Amen I will thank God and share with His works when this RV happens. I believe He helps those with a good heart, good intentions and does good. I believe He protected my son while he served in the Middle East and as he jumps from 30,000 feet. My son knows who has protected him, I believe.
