Ok just heard out in dinar land that Iran has announced that they are starting a float on Oct 22nd. Has anyone heard of this as well or have seen any articles that claim this to be true? I don't have a link. Word has it that it is now putting pressure on Iraq to hurry up and do something (RV) before that date. Or else there will be a currency struggle on their boarder. Screwball .....have you heard about any of this ? Especially the Oct 22nd date? Things are starting to heat up.

Just an FYI for all VND holders. I was talking to a friend of mine who also holds VND and he was telling me that in 1964 it was worth $2.27 . He thinks it can start at .10cents float to .15-.35 cents and then some. Everyone has a number but no one really knows. Just thought I'd share.

Climber .....It's anyones guess at this point. The good news is that it looks to be happening like Gypsy girl said Aug / Sept. For this currency you can buy it at your local bank. Thats the cheapest way IMO. Thats what I did. And ask for large denominations or else they'll give you a bunch of mixed bills and you don't need that.

Climber Im not too familiar with which denomination would be best to buy. I bought 100,000.00 but only because that was the best offer I found.

Im thinking Iran is gonna let Iraq go first. Just my gut feeling on this one. Iran knows Iraq's process and isn't gonna steel their thunder. Like a good neighbor

Hey friend thanks for answering. Yes Im well aware of the controversy. I just feel that we need to respect each others reasons and opinions , we're all adults here and to each his own. I did see the part of cashing out in the Kish Island. I was hoping that the USA would decide to lift the ban "suddenly" as you said. That would be our best scenario .Keeping my fingers crossed on that one. With the way Obama is kissing Iran's butt...I feel there is a strong possibility that they could lift the ban. We'll just have to wait and see . You're OSI aren't you ? Would it be possible to cash out via our OSI plan that we already have in place? I was wondering if that would be possible? From my research I feel that Iraq will start their rv some time in the last week of September approaching Oct 1st. The VND .....would be great if they surprised us and did it earlier so we can double dip and buy up some more IQD / Rial . And...the rial I think they're gonna let Iraq go first as to not steel their thunder. I've just finished reading this entire thread. WOW ...so much information. First of all I want to thank Screwball for all that he has shared with us. Great info and support. This is very exciting to say the least. And....Im surprised more people aren't involved in this currency. Anyways I've just started buying this currency and will continue to as I can. As for now cashing out is my only concern . Hope we have better options in the future. Looking forward to October.

Well I guess it would be safe to say that if the fiscal year starts in Oct1st this would have to be resolved before that. Knowing Iraq they will do it when they're good and ready.
