  1. Hello Keep, Congrats are in order as I understand being on the far end of this post. I wish you both the utmost of happiness as you both raise your new born into adulthood. I was so inspired by raising my 3 kids that I did it again when I was 55 by adopting my daughters newborn. I wouldn't trade raising a newborn from my bloodline for anything else in the world. I'm sure you will get a lot of advice from friends & family, but if you will, please allow me to offer this suggestion. Take lots of picturesand don't hold back. Good luck, in the years of happiness ahead. Dave
  2. In my layman's opinion, I think all this talk about LOP is just smoke to get everyone to buy the smaller notes. Sure there may be a shortage of the large notes, but this is the process of supply and demand. Plus, with all the talk about LOPing the 000's, everyone is going to stay away from the larger notes because they don't really understand the mechanics of an RD orRV. The pumpers are just bitting at the bit to fill everyone's head with the idea that the world is coming to an end with regard that the larger notes. This is why you are seeing the premium prices on them now.I have purchased roughly 3 milliom Dinar to balance out my worth for tax implications only. In the end I wouldn't worry about your 4 questions and just keep on livjing life. Go RRRRRVVVVVV
  3. Thanks for the input and it is well taken. On another note, I bought all my Dinar back in early 2009 and have roughly 1 and a half mill in small notes. I am certainly not about to go and buy small notes for the price being asked for now. I can easily see why they are so over inflated now ecpesially with all the hub bub about the LOP and everything else going on. I was thinking more this route at first as I have several Jordanian friends of which were in the Army in Jordan. I can trust them with my life.
  4. I am a seasoned traveler with a current passport at all times. However, wouldn't it be rather odd, a tourist in Iraq just walking into a bank and asking to exchange 5 million in 25,000 notes and wanting to leave with 5 million in small notes?
  5. In a recent post a member had made mention of taking his 25,000 Dinar and exchanging them for smaller notes.I beleive he was wanting to do this as a hedge against an RD. Simply put, my question is this. Can a private citizen such as myself fly over to Iraq and visit a big bank in Bahgdad and convert my large notes into smaller notes? I am just your average guy that is wanting to get by like everyone else. I have the finnacial means to fly to Iraq and do this. I know the ramifications and am sure there are other things I have not thought about. So in short, can a private citizen legaly make a trip to Bahgdad to exchange IQD currency. If it is legal then I would be prepared to go there and if anyone else would like to go then that would be great. Please let me know as they say there is safety in numbers. Any insight would be appreciated.
  6. Thanks for the notice. I just pulled my Target charge card out of my wallet and cut it into or rather put it throgh the shredder. High interest rates anyway the b****d's
  7. Those days and the 70's were a blast. I think some of the best rock ever came out of those days. Of course, with some of it you needed to be on whatever they were on to understand it! I still love the oldies! And with women like Ann-Margaret who is still very attractive...Wow! But seriously , Tiff, with the looks and brains you have you would have been a hit in any generation! Just sayin' Read more: I couldn't agree more Redrock. I was I was born in 1953 so you can figure it from there. I grew up on the 60's music and went in the military in 72 to Viet Nam with the 70's music. The music was easier to listen to than what I hear now days and had a real rockin beat. My car radio is locked onto Sirius XM channel 6&7. Keep rockin guys. A nice change of pace for a post.
  8. Quote Do these thoughts shed a little different light on what I call blind pumping? Could our beloved guru’s be like bee’s pollenating the country…whether aware or not? Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm??? For those of us that have been riding this puke train for 7+ years, have you noticed that nothing has changed in all those years. Every freakin weekend it is supposed to RV. Is Shotgun Susie still at it under a different name? I for one would not be at all surprised. Okie is that you Susie??? LOL!! Read more: Hey Easy.... I think you hit the nail on the head with the above statement if I may be so bold to say so. I just put up a new topic in Opinions about who are all the newbies and where are all the older members. Check it out and give us an opinion. Keep diggin Man and GO...RV
  9. I have noticed a lot of talk recently about the newbie's on the site and what they have to say. Some are taking a hit from some members while others are not. I am certainly not here to bash any new poeple and think all members have a right to voice an opinion. After all this tis a rumor site and Adam has granted a lot of lattitude. I had become curious about the whole subject when I noticed the following. I have been a member here on DV since Oct 2009. At that time there were many members here that went back several years and this was clear when you saw it on their postings with their ID and the date they signed up. As time has passed and more new people have come on, there has been a decrease in the number older members here at DV . My question is. Have they dropped off the site entirely or have they quietly reregistered for a new membership for a new name because they took a bashing? Or they could have gotten bored with their member ID and wanted to go anew? I guess I am just curious as to why the controversy with the newbie's and the vanishing of many of the older members. Is it possible we can have more than one member ID on DV? I can't beleive that most all of the older members gave up. I decided that I was not going to browes the members profile to follow up on this as it would just take to long. I would certainly love to hear others on what their opinion might be about this topic. I am certainly in this for the long haul and you will see Seabee1972... member since Oct 2009 for as long as it takes for the RV to happen. Outside of that I can smell the RV in the air more than I cam smell the Adirondack night air coming in the window tonight. GO...RV
  10. How can one say that in a country of 30 million people that there is no economy? Iraq has air transportion, a rail system, a highway network. While not at 100%, Iraq's infrastructure , water. electric and sewage is coming along. At worst it can be said that the banking system is said sub par. I will be the first to admit I am not the world's smartest person, but allow me to elude to the banker guy this.I took an Economics in college and from what I can gather, Iraq does have an economy. There is commerce where stores are open, goods are being bought, sold and traded. Kids are being educated and colleges are in opperation. There is construction going on weather it is housing, public projects or private projects. The oil industry is coming back on line although not at the speed they woudl like. There are many more examples, but would take to long to mention. The bottom line that I can say is that anywhere where there is Dollar's, Rubbles, Yen and yes even Dinar being exchanged publicly in a business or private setting then you ECONOMY of scale going on. Let compare it to this, a flower bud, I know it sounds goofy but I will use this. The flower is just starting to open and when it gets to full bloom everyone will be in awe by it.
  11. Adam, good post tonight!!!!!!!!! I feel like we are in the calm before the storm of good fortune .Let Ramahdon fly by and we will get past the dark clouds with blue skies behind with clear sailng for all. GO--RV

  14. We all know what a Recession is. We all, also know what a Depression is. However, What comes after a Depression? I feel the United States will tip into this new thing if we don't fix things now. Wake up Washington !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I think someone has been into the wacky tabacky again and are blowing smoke.
  16. As of late there has been a lot of disscusion about what banks know about the Iraqi Dinar and what banks don't know. It all has to do with what location you are in. If you live in an area like NYC, Philly,LA New Orleans , or even Denver, you might want to walk into one of there large city branches and they will have knowlege of a possible gearing up for an RV. Now wheather or not they will even talk to you about it is a different story. On the other hand if you live in a rual area like me more than likely your bank will know nothing about it, even if an RV is going to happen next week.I went to my local M&T bank 3 weeks ago and asked the lady at the window if there was any news about the IQD. She then looked through a currency rate book and and very nicely told me that the dinar was not a trable currency at this time. I said thank you and went on my way. On my way to the door I ran into my old high school buddy from 30+ years ago only to find out that he is an area manager of 5 or 6 local banks. I decided to pick his brain about the Dinar and this what he told me. While he didn't know much about the Dinar, but could tell me that the window personel will not know anything about trading in even on the day the RV happens. He said that anyone with a large amount of currency would be directed to go to the back office staff and start the transaction of filling out the paperwork with them. In turn they would send out my Dinar on the truck to a large city branch like maybe Buffalo or Albany that can deal with those matters. He did say that normally it may take two or three days for the turn around. He also said that if is it in the early days of an RV that it may take a bit longer. Also, he said, that some small branches in the burbs of a large metro area, may not know much about it or will also send it out. What i have concluded here is that most everyone may have some factual truth about information they may get from a bank even on the same day you have two opposing stories. The next day I went to a BOA in a nearby town and again the teller went through the same motions as with the M&T Bank. Several years ago bank I had a daughter in Denmark on a foregin exchange program and was running low on currency funds. I went to the BOA and asked for a $1,500.00 in the Dane currency and it took 3 days for it to get back to the bank and in my hands. In the end while the above is all true, it gives a little perspective of what we all have to look forward to or should I say some of us. Because of this I plan on making the 250 mile drive to NYC and do the exchange at the big BOA in Midtown Manhatten. Good luck and go RV......................
  17. Did I forget to mention that it is a beautifull sunny day with a few puffy clouds way up in the far northern Adirondack Park in NY state. The high for today will be 73 and no more heat for a while. I think I will go fishing.
  18. Now I got my Social Security check today. Now that is good news for me and many other seniors out there. My bills will get paid and no creditors will be calling me. Now that is wonderfull news.
  19. Okay people, someone needs to get a life. This is clearly an Internet rumor of a large scale to shake all of you up. Go to Google and type in HR4646 and happy reading
  20. Where is it written that we have one more month now to go? Why not two or three or maybe next year/ I like to be optimistic, but now choose not to. Infact the RV or an RD or however it turns out to be will happen when it happens. I feel bad for those that hang on every word as most of folks on this site live from paycheck to pay check, and this daily talk can put you through a mental drain. I have been down that road earlier in life. So again I have accepted the fact that it will happen when it happens.
  21. . To me this sounds like Iraq has 2 currency plans going which appears to be acceptable at this point. If however, Iraq were to develope, 2 more plans, this would create all sorts of a banking nightmares. As it stands now I would not worry. I can't see the U.S. or China going along with this especilly when their Gov. have purchased so many billions with the same outcome that many of us are expecting
  22. You need to read Adams cash in guide, which can be download from this site. Good luck
  23. Wow that was a mouth full my freind. Let's see how this all plays out. I agree that the U.S. has a large amount of DINAR, but to hold this over the American's heads take alot of balls if it plays out ;like this. He would not be the same man the people voted for. I'll keep that opinion to myself. :( I had always assumed between June & Jan before this debt thing came along. This quote was in response to my first reply.
  24. Predictions and theories come and go and we all throw our hands up in the air. Now that Ramadahn is upon us it is verly likely we will not see anything more to happen till September, but wait a minute. Isn't there another holiday in September or a 5 day weekend so we can trow our hands up in the air again? No disrespect to the Iraqi people, but how many holidays do they have during the year that last 2 to 4 weeks? I may have to get a rope to tie my hands over my head during these holiday. What comes next in September, Christmas? After a while you just have to laugh. :D
  25. About 2 years ago, I was reading NewsMax Magazine. As I was turning to the next page, to page 65. there it was, as big as day. It was an ad for IQD by Safe Dinar, and I remember it being a full page ad and was drawn to it. From there I carefully researched the Dinar after knowing nothing about it and bought into it. After thinking back I really beleive that God took me to that page, as I usually skip pages when going through a magazine.I think the Lord knows I help out my family and others that need help. I will give the shirt off my back for the right reason, It's kind of like Karma. While on a trip to visit my son who was stationed at the Whidby Island Navy Base in Washington State, I had what you would call a karma event happen to me. My other 2 daughters along with myself had stopped at a Carl Jr. to grab something to eat. We got our food and went to the out door patio to eat. While we sat there eating our lunch, one of my girls made an eye gesture to me to see the homeless guy sitting at the table next to us. I could see that he was homeless and had all the features of a man in distress. For some unkown reason to me, I put my sandwhich down and walked back inside I walked up to the counter and purchased the largest combo meal that they offered and returned outside. I walked up to the homeless man and handed him the food and drink. I told him that he could use the meal more than I could."I am offering this food to you with my blessing and prayers, and will ask God to look out for you." The man offered his thanks and went on to say that I was the only person in a long time to offer such a bounty. He ended by saying thank you and God Bless you.with that we continued on our way to the Navy base. After returning back to my home in New York State, it was about 2 weeks later. I went to the mail box and received the surprise of my life. In the mail was a check with six figures from a settlement I had been fighting for over the last 7 years. I thought, how odd that I had helped out a homeless man about 2 weeks before and that day I was being rewarded for it.. The Karma effect had played out, believe it or not. Getting back to being hummble, I will continue to do what I have done in the past but in a larger way. I will do this not because I expect something in return, but because it is the right thing No one will notice that I may be alot wealthier as I am always taking a trip every now and then. and doing things around the house. Call it Karma, or call it good fortune, I will be there to help out those that have a real need. I would also go back to my old high school and offer to pay for the first two years for ten underprivillaged kids at out local community college and do this for 5 years. I also want to leave my kids a trust fund for their later years and their children. GO RV and it will happen soon.
