  1. Obummer, the Great 1/2 White Hope . The Dems are so bankrupt of ideas they do not realize because of THE ONE the Dems are in the worst position nationally than they have ever been. As someone who loves watching them implode I say "Let the campaign begin!"
  2. Again, since there is only one person in this conversation not too small to admit he’s wrong, let me help you out yet again and point out the glaring flaws in your comeback. Soooo many words yet they fail to mask the fact that you were wrong. Even better (or worse for you), your pathetic rationalization couldn’t be further from the truth and just goes to demonstrate your smallness. You are mistaking the lack of prosecution to equate no laws were broken, and that is flawed logic. Surely you can grasp the fact that Congress has no prosecutorial powers, so Gowdy had no means of shackling or prosecuting anyone. Gowdy has repeatedly stated that many of those in the Obummer administration did break the law and should be prosecuted, but because of the Holder / Lynch (UN)Justice Department, nobody was charged. So if you are deferring to Gowdy, you should have been calling for Hildabeast and others to be charged, not incorrectly using Gowdy in a feeble attempt to show there was no illegal activity that should have been prosecuted. Apparently you are more than willing to go along with the miscarriage of justice, as long as those bastardizing the system do not charge each other. Keep digging out of the hole you put yourself in, sooner or later you just might convince someone other than yourself that you are correct.
  3. There are probably 100 versions of this Cole Porter classic, but nobody does it better than Hoyt IMHO. RV ME
  4. There is the flaw in your logic. The Republicans do not control the White House, Trump does and the Republicans (POLYTICKS) hate it, that is why they will sabotage him at every opportunity. If you could get over your hatred for Trump you might realize that he is the third party you have been calling for.
  5. Since only one of us in this conversation can admit when he’s wrong, let me point out to the other his complete failure on the facts. Even if you did call for Weiner’s prosecution, how does that show you’ve called for someone in Obummers administration be held accountable for their actions? Weiner was in Congress, possibly in Huma, but never in the Obummer administration. Care to try again (rhetorical)?
  6. Illegal NSA tapes of Chief Justice? I guess that could explain Roberts finding Obummercare to be Constitutional since it was a tax (even though the government was arguing it was not a tax). Now that I think of it, I wonder if Comey was involved in Roberts opinion. If you step back and compare Roberts listing of all the reasons Obummercare should be overturned, but then voting to uphold the law, to Comey’s dissertation of Hildabeast’s crimes before exonerating her, they seem to be very similar. Almost as if written by the same NSA author/overlord.
  7. Unlike you, I have no problem admitting when I am wrong. Since you have demonstrated your diminutiveness in this area, allow me to help and point out the incorrectness in your latest diatribe. I’ll start by helping you understand the difference between an observation and an accusation as it appears that you are confused by the two. I accused you of nothing, so I shoulder no burden to prove anything, but I did observe that in your 14,000+ posts I could not recall one where you called for any nefarious Obummer administration worker to be held accountable for their actions while on the taxpayer’s dime. You are now making the claim that you are for such action, and I am pointing out the hypocrisy in your claim. Funny how you say you have never claimed a level of consistency, but still manage to consistently show your true liberal colors. I always thought sitting on the fence meant you look at both sides before reaching a conclusion, free of political influence, but that is obvious not the case with you. Perhaps it would be helpful in the future if you would give an actual definition of fence sitting, since apparently nobody but you knows what it really means. I do like the way you have convinced yourself that you are a post sitter while at the same time convincing most everyone else that you are a liberal in denial. Lastly, I am glad you have folks such as myself figured out, but as per usual you couldn’t be more incorrect if you tried. This freedom loving Constitutionalist pointing out your true political leanings is not bassackwards, nor believing you guilty until proven innocent. You have a vast body of work that speaks volumes about what you think and who you really are, regardless of what you claim. As I post this, it shows you with 14,299 posts, surely you can point to one to demonstrate what you claim now is not complete . Or can you?
  8. I disagree. I make my decisions on a case by case basis. It's no secret I disapprove of Trump. However, I have very few issues with Pence. There's something to be said for class and dignity....both of which VP Pence has on lock. I, in my personal opinion, don't believe Donald has any of either. GO RV, then BV Pence is acceptable to you and that is supposed to be proof that you look at both sides? That’s kind of like a person saying he is not a racist because he has a black friend. Your historic lack of consistency in this area undermines your latest claim. A perfect example would be your response to fr8dawg on another thread; On 6/16/2017 at 8:02 AM, md11fr8dawg said: Shabs, personally, I don't care what you call them, or whether they are left or right, but if someone in government who are paid by our taxes have violated the law, then I would like to know about it. And I would like to see them held responsible for the illegal actions. Couldn't agree more. GO RV, then BV Since you now claim to agree with the sentiment, can you point to one example in the last 8 years where you called for anyone to be held accountable for their illegal actions? Between the leakers, liars, and outright fraudsters that populated the Obummer administration there was a multitude of characters to demand be held accountable, but I do not recall ever hearing you make such a demand. Prove me wrong and show me that you are a consistent post sitter, fairly looking at both sides, rather than just a typical left winger who thinks better of himself.
  9. RIP Stephen. Stephen Furst, Flounder in 'Animal House,' dies at 63 Stephen Furst, who played naive fraternity pledge Flounder in the hit movie "Animal House," has died of complications from diabetes, his family said Saturday. Furst was 63. Furst died Friday at his home in Moorpark, California, north of Los Angeles, said his son, Nathan Furst. Furst played Kent "Flounder" Dorfman in the 1978 film that also starred John Belushi. It was Belushi's character, Blutarsky, who drew Flounder into a prank that went terribly wrong and ended up with the frantic Flounder shooting a gun loaded with blanks into a ceiling, frightening a horse so much that it died of a heart attack. Furst's long list of credits included the 1980s medical drama "St. Elsewhere," on which he played Dr. Elliot Axelrod. He played Vir Coto and was an occasional director on the 1990s sci-fi series "Babylon 5." He also voiced characters on projects including TV's "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command" and the video "The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea." "He was proudest of his family, and he felt blessed and incredibly privileged to have the career that he had and enjoyed," Nathan Furst said Saturday. Stephen Furst also was a director and producer, working with his other son, Griff. Their Curmudgeon Film projects included the movies "My Sister's Keeper" and "Cold Moon," a suspense thriller set for release in October, Griff Furst said. Stephen Furst's survivors include his wife, Lorraine, and two grandchildren, his sons said.
  10. Haven’t got em yet, but tickets went on sale today for Bob Segar’s return to KC October 14th. If anyone wants to join me, let me know. RV ME
  11. But as long as W gets the blame, it's all good
  12. I gotta admit, sometimes following your logic is most entertaining, I just wish you would actually try to defend your conclusions when the “ill” part of your logic is pointed out. Once again you go back and credit Obummer for saving the world from W, and now all of THE ONE’s hard work and good deeds are now being destroyed by the opportunistic Trump. So to answer your questions, yes I am saying Obummer did not grow the economy. After 8 years of never able to get to 3% GDP growth does not even keep up with inflation, let alone grow the economy. I am not a fan of W’s and I am not defending him, but the average family income was higher under W than it ever was under O. These are not my opinions, they are facts. That gets me around to your entertaining pretzel logic. You go on and attempt to discredit Trump because in your mind the improvements we have seen has nothing to do with Trump. According to you it is all the Washington Kingmakers who are temporarily letting things become better. Well if you really believe this to be the case, how is it that you credit THE ONE like you do for saving the world? What exactly did he do to escape the Kingmakers stranglehold and go it his way all on his own? Would not the same illogic also dictate that W was not to blame for destroying the economy as you so gleefully proclaim, when it was just the work of the Kingbreakers? If you really believe that it does not matter who is President, why are you so upset that Trump is President since the “Kingmakers” are ruling the roost (except of course for the 8 years of THE ONE). What I find frustrating and confusing is that you regularly rail against the establishment, the two party system, and big money. I would include all of these and your kingmakers to just be part of the swamp. And for some reason you continue to root for the swamp to win against this administration, not only hurting Trump, but also We The People.
  13. Thanks for the belly laugh first thing this morning. Glad I did not have a mouth full of coffee or I would have done a spit take that would put Danny Kaye to shame. You have repeatedly shown that you have an unlimited ability to imagination the most absurd things, but this takes the cake. Nickel’s worth of free advice; if you wish to continue to fool yourself feel free, but you should do so privately. When you do it publicly and out loud it really just shows how foolish you are.
  14. B/A, you said previously and repeatedly that the main reason Obummer is a top ten President in your opinion was because he bloated your portfolio. Can you at least be slightly objective and give Trump credit for growing it even more? Seems to me that you have already benefited from Trump’s “opportunistic” Presidency but just can’t get over your hatred of him to give him any credit.
