  1. Just wanted to say especially to Maggie and flatdawg that I apologize if i said anything that caused you pain or embarrasment in this thread... That was not my intention at all. I understand that we as human beings are selfish and have a hard time seeing things from others perspectives and that is something we all need to work on LOL... I do still stand by my points made, however, again it was not my intention to hurt anyone in any way. Peace and blessings in Yahushua HaMashiach
  2. I think this is the FIRST bank story that I have ever read that started out like so many others have, as in, "I went to the bank to open an account", and then the truth was actually told! No bank has any more information than we do. When a RV happens then the banks will know and make the appropriate accomodations. Common sense people!
  3. It's true and people have to remember that EVIL, whether it be in the form of greed, power, hatred, etc. doesn't come in a color or creed. It is just evil.
  4. Yeah well, I'm just glad that they put a stop to it.... and the prayers to our Heavenly Father always help in these situations. Just think, what if all these people didn't make a stink about it?... they would have have gone ahead with it... and I honestly have a feeling that this isn't the last time someting like this will be attempted but, for now, it is a small victory!
  5. Hi Nelg, I agree completely that a STUDY of scripture in context is absolutely necessary. If not then we know what happens. Just look at all of the "churches" and false teachers today. That is in part a result of taking scripture not only out of context but also, making up thier own doctrine and using those selected texts to build thier twisted doctrines with. I did state that I looked online for something that could maybe be more explainatory of what I was trying to get across, however, I obviously failed lol... I am pretty sure that NONE of us understand "the afterlife" completely because we have not been there... and no one will be until Yahushua/Jesus returns. The human soul is NOT immortal until he makes it so. The reserection, death and salvation are all also difficult for many to grasp... I do not promote the "gnostic" anything. I follow what Yahushua/Jesus taught according to his Father's word and I believe that Yahushua/Jesus is litterally the Son of YHWH/God and that he was sent here to the earth born of a woman by the Heavenly Father. He died for all of our sins and was raised by YHWH on the third day. He will return again and raise the dead in him and the living in him will be changed in a twinkling of an eye and caught up with the raised to meet him in the heavens or sky. He IS Messiah, Saviour, King of Kings, Lord of Lords. I stated previously that I used to believe in "the trinity", however, that view changed as have MANY as I continue to grow in the Spirit and Word. I don't believe that there are 3 seperate beings that are God. I beleieve that there is one God, YHWH and that his begotton Son Yahushua is really his Son. He was his Son in spirit at the begining of creation and he was his Son when he was here on earth as a man, and he is still his Son after he ascended back to Heaven with his Father in Spirit again. I am DEEPLY concerned with the "truth" and thus the reason I pray, study the word and walk in the spirit as directed, and also why I have these conversations. I love my Father more than anything. I owe him everything. I am still human and make errors just like everyone else, but, I am seeking him each and every day and surrendering to his will and keeping his commands so, if that is not what some would agree for them is not seeking his truth then what else can I do but, PRAY?
  6. Well that's an understatement LOL... Seriously though, this is the wickedness and deception that we are dealing with. Can you imagine all of this man's devoted followers (I believe they stated in the millions) who will perish because they fell for this man's lies and insanity? We just have to pray for them and for him.
  7. Nigeria Guardian Africa network Why did the world ignore Boko Haram's Baga attacks? As media coverage focused on the Paris terror attacks last week, more than 2000 Nigerians were reported to have been killed by Islamist militants. What makes one massacre more newsworthy than another? Boko Haram/I am charlie A man holds a placard that reads ‘I am Charlie, let’s not forget the victims of Boko Haram’ outside the French embassy in Abidjan. France spent the weekend coming to terms with last week’s terror attacks in Paris that left 17 dead. The country mourned, and global leaders joined an estimated 3.7 million people on its streets to march in a show of unity. In Nigeria, another crisis was unfolding, as reports came through of an estimated 2,000 casualties after an attack by Boko Haram militants on the town of Baga in the north-eastern state of Borno. Amnesty International described as the terror group’s “deadliest massacre” to date, and local defence groups said they had given up counting the bodies left lying on the streets. Reporting in northern Nigeria is notoriously difficult; journalists have been targeted by Boko Haram, and, unlike in Paris, people on the ground are isolated and struggle with access to the internet and other communications. Attacks by Boko Haram have disrupted connections further, meaning that there is an absence of an online community able to share news, photos and video reports of news as it unfolds. But reports of the massacre were coming through and as the world’s media focused its attention on Paris, some questioned why events in Nigeria were almost ignored. On Twitter, Max Abrahms, a terrorism analyst, tweeted: “It’s shameful how the 2K people killed in Boko Haram’s biggest massacre gets almost no media coverage.” Musician Nitin Sawhney said: “Very moving watching events in Paris – wish the world media felt equally outraged by this recent news too.” “Mom Blogger” @Mom101 asked: “How is this not the lead story on every single news network, every Twitter newsfeed right now?” That sentiment was echoed by a number of Guardian readers over the weekend. So why did the Paris attacks receive more coverage than the Boko Haram killings? “I am Charlie, but I am Baga too” “I am Charlie, but I am Baga too,” wrote Simon Allison for the Daily Maverick, a partner on the Guardian Africa network. “There are massacres and there are massacres” he said, arguing that “it may be the 21st century, but African lives are still deemed less newsworthy – and, by implication, less valuable – than western lives”. Allison recognises the challenges in reporting – “the nearest journalists are hundreds of kilometres away” – but also points to the significance of the attack: taking control of Baga, “Boko Haram effectively controls Borno state in its entirety. These aren’t just terrorists: they are becoming a de facto state.” Even more reason for the world to take notice. But the blame does not just lie with western media; there was little African coverage either, said Allison. No leaders were condemning the attacks, nor did any talk of a solidarity movement, he said, adding that “our outrage and solidarity over the Paris massacre is also a symbol of how we as Africans neglect Africa’s own tragedies, and prioritise western lives over our own.” Silence from Nigeria’s politicians Many pointed to the palpable silence of many of Nigeria’s politicians. Last week, Nigeria’s president, Goodluck Jonathan, expressed his condolences for the victims of France but stayed silent on the Boko Haram attacks on Baga. Media analyst Ethan Zuckerman said that the president is “understandably wary of discussing Boko Haram, as it reminds voters that the conflict has erupted under his management and that his government has been unable to subdue the terror group”. Nigeria’s elections are set to take place on 14 February. The president was also criticised for celebrating his niece Ine’s wedding over weekend, in the aftermath of the killings. Elnathan John, a Nigerian writer and lawyer who has changed his Twitter identity to “I am Baga” in solidarity, shared a tweet from Nigeria’s finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who also expressed condolences over the Paris attacks but made no mention of the events in Baga. He also pointed to comments on the official Twitter account of Ahmadu Adamu Muazu, from the ruling People’s Democratic party, who looked to downplay the death toll: “We know it’s a political period so some of this [sic] things are expected”. Muazu has since taken to the account again to say he has been working with the security services to ensure that “peace will soon be restored” to the people in Baga and other regions in the north-east of the country. ‘The west is ignoring Boko Haram’ Advertisement Ignatius Kaigama, the Catholic archbishop of Jos in central Nigeria – an area which has also suffered terror attacks – added his voice to criticism of the west. Speaking to the BBC, he argued that Nigeria could not confront the threat from Boko Haram alone. “It is a monumental tragedy. It has saddened all of Nigeria. But... we seem to be helpless,” he said. “Because if we could stop Boko Haram, we would have done it right away. But they continue to attack, and kill and capture territories... with such impunity.” Over the weekend Boko Haram was also blamed for a suicide attack in a market in Borno state that left 16 dead in Yobe state. Kaigama called the for international community to show the same spirit and resolve against Boko Haram as it had done after the attacks in France. #BagaTogether Echoing the #bringbackourgirls hashtag, which was set up to call for the release of the 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram in April, some have taken to social media to show their support for the people in Baga. Using a number of hashtags including #BagaTogether, #weareallbaga and #pray4baga, Nigerians and others have posted their support for the affected area. Some objected to disputes over the total death toll, yet to be confirmed, getting in the way of the real issues, some objected to the scant media coverage, others simply called for solidarity. Disputing over the number killed is irrelevant to me. Innocent people have died, this needs to stop — David Webb (@davidwebbshow) January 10, 2015 Reported up to 2,000 killed by Muslim terrorists Boko Haram in Nigeria ignored by news headlines #WeAreAllBaga Why did the media ignore Baga? If you live in Nigeria, or are interested in this topic, we’d like to hear from you. What makes one massacre more newsworthy than another? Should media outlets have done more? And how can social media solidarity help? Add your thoughts in the comments below or on Twitter @GuardianAfrica. Some of us did not. We included Nigeria, Raif Badawi and Waleed Abulkhair, Pakistan and other important events in our march here in this part of France. Others did in Paris and elsewhere. However the main focus was on the Charlie Hebdo killings for the French, that was entirely emotionally their limit and probably understandable, but others including some French folk thought beyond the single event. Moreover, it was for us not about Islam only because we included journalists in Russia as victims of an oppressive regime that will not allow freedom of speech and other comparable things worldwide.
  8. Home | Duke University Cancels Muslim Call To Prayer After Massive Nationwide Reaction Against It Duke University Cancels Muslim Call To Prayer After Massive Nationwide Reaction Against It NTEB News Desk | January 15, 2015 | Duke University has canceled its plans to have a Muslim prayer announcement broadcast from Duke Chapel’s belltower on Friday afternoonsYesterday. NTEB was one of the very first news outlets to break the story of Duke University forcing their entire campus to listen to the Muslim azam, or call to prayer. Instantly the news spread and was picked up by every news agency out there, leading the fine folks at Duke to cancel their plans to broadcast the azan on campus. It’s rare, but it happens, we are putting this one in the “victory” column in the fight against creeping Sharia in America. WNCN reports that the university announced its plans to facilitate a weekly call to prayer; but on Thursday, Duke officials acknowledged the decision resulted in unintended backlash. “Duke remains committed to fostering an inclusive, tolerant and welcoming campus for all of its students,” said Michael Schoenfeld, vice president for public affairs and government relations. “However, it was clear that what was conceived as an effort to unify was not having the intended effect.” The initial plan was to broadcast a weekly call to prayer from the chapel’s bell tower starting Jan. 16. The prayer service would then take place in the chapel basement. The university said it will instead welcome members of the Muslim community to gather on the quadrangle outside the chapel, before moving to its regular location in the chapel basement. “It’s a slap in the face to Muslims,” said Khalilah Sabra, with the Muslim American Society. The chant was intended to announce the start of the Duke Muslim Student Association’s prayer service, which the Muslim chaplain at Duke said “brings Muslims back to their purpose in life.” However after the school announced the weekly broadcast, the university’s Facebook page was flooded with angry comments. One commenter said they had “totally lost respect for Duke University.” Another said that the university is a “… center for political correctness,” and that it’s “just plain bizarre that [they are] going to do an Islamic call to prayer.” The plan also drew the ire of evangelist Franklin Graham, who urged Duke alumni to withhold support because of violence against Christians that he attributed to Muslims. In a statement posted on Facebook, Graham, the head of Samaritan’s Purse and the son of Billy Graham, said, “As Christianity is being excluded from the public square and followers of Islam are raping, butchering and beheading Christians, Jews, and anyone who doesn’t submit to their Sharia Islamic law, Duke is promoting this in the name of religious pluralism. “I call on the donors and alumni to withhold their support from Duke until this policy is reversed.” Duke, a private school, was founded by Methodists and Quakers and has a divinity school historically connected to the United Methodist Church. Duke has roughly 15,000 students, including 6,500 undergraduates. The school said about 700 students are Muslim.
  9. Muslim leader: 'Jesus Christ is among us' New documentary sheds light on Islamic views about end times Could it be that a great leader will emerge in Turkey who, with the help of mysterious Islamic spirit beings, will convince the world's Christians to become Muslim? That's exactly what a popular Turkish intellectual is teaching his millions of television viewers, according to a new documentary produced by WND Films and directed by Joel Richardson, author of "The Islamic Antichrist" and "Mideast Beast." In the documentary, "End Times Eyewitness," Richardson interviews Adnan Oktar, a media personality and prolific author, about what Islam expects to happen as the world grinds down to the last days. The articulate Turk speaks frankly and calmly on camera during an interview filmed in his studio in Istanbul. He comes across as sincere and affable, calling the Christian Richardson his "brother." Just like many Christians, Oktar says the Muslim world is eagerly anticipating its messiah, also called the Mahdi. But Islam also expects the return of Jesus, who they call "Isa." The Muslim Jesus will tell the world that he is not the son of God, nor was he crucified and resurrected from the dead. He returns to tell everyone that he does exist and he is, indeed, a Muslim. He will be very persuasive, this Jesus. Adnan Oktar of Turkey hosts a popular TV show and has written more than 300 books, mostly about Islam and creation. The Mahdi and Jesus, according to the Muslim view expressed by Oktar, will get help in their work to convert the world to Islam from an even more demonstrative group of supernatural beings called the djinn, from which we get the English word for "genie." There are bad djinn and good djinn, with the good djinn being Muslim. Click here to learn more about Joel Richardson's new documentary film, "End Times Eyewitness," "Yes the Mahdi will communicate with the djinns," Oktar says in the film. "Mahdi is the leader of both djinns and men. Muslim djinns, djinns that believe in God, will assist the Muslims in making Muslims prevail throughout the world." Oktar goes on to explain that the Mahdi will rule for seven years, which eerily resembles the reign of another character that the Bible warns Christians to beware of in the last days. Richardson believes the Mahdi and the Muslim Jesus line up perfectly with the biblical description of the antichrist and false prophet, who will arise in the last days, the Bible says, to "deceive many." Oktar expresses strong belief that the Mahdi and Jesus are likely already walking the earth. "Yes. We believe that Hazrat Mahdi has come and is busy carrying on his activities," he said. "We believe that he appeared in Istanbul, as that is how it is related in the Judaic accounts. This is how it is related in the Islamic accounts as well." Oktar, a Sunni Muslim, said even prominent Shiite leaders in Iran have said they expect the Mahdi to appear in Istanbul. "There is no other time for this," he tells Richardson. "He should appear in a date between the years 1400 to 1500 according to Hijri calendar." The current Islamic year is 1435. Oktar quotes frequently from the Christian gospels, saying that all the requirements spoken of by the "prophet" Jesus have been fulfilled leading up to his return. "After World War II, a lifetime has passed as well and consequently we are exactly in the time the prophet Jesus mentioned in the Gospel," Oktar said. "A lifetime has now passed (since the war), or is about to pass. This is one of the biggest proofs of the fact that Jesus Christ is now among us." Richardson told WND that he'd read an article a few years ago in which Oktar mentioned the role of the djinn in the last days and therefore asked him about it in the interview. "I asked him about it again, and he didn't deny it," Richardson said. Click here to learn more about Joel Richardson's new documentary film, "End Times Eyewitness," Interestingly, Richardson says Oktar believes that he, Oktar, also has the ability to communicate with the djinn. "To Oktar the djinn are essentially spirit beings who live amongst us, yet cannot be seen my most people. Oktar however, claims to speak with the djinn, that they respect him and give him information," Richardson said. "Islam teaches they are made of fire and some of them are Muslims. Although we cannot see them, Oktar teaches that during the time that their messiah is ruling on earth, these djinn are going to begin freely interacting with humans, and they're going to help convince people to become Muslims." While all of this may sound quaint to the average American Christian, Richardson says it's important to remember that Oktar is a man with a huge audience, literally millions of viewers not only within Turkey but throughout Central Asia, the Arab world and into parts of Russia and Eastern Europe. He has published some 300 books, has a popular TV show and claims to have a close relationship with Turkey's president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. "Any discerning Christian watching the film is going to sit back and say 'wait a minute I know what's going on here' with the djinn," Richardson said. "Nowadays the discernment level is not on the highest level but I still would expect that most Christians can read between the lines." Richardson said he isn't sure how widely held the belief is in the djinns' role in assisting the Islamic messiah's efforts to convert the world to Islam, but the fact that a man as prominent as Oktar is talking about the djinn should get the attention of Christians and Jews around the world. "It's the first time I'd ever personally heard it, but he claims to be in close relationship with the president of Turkey," Richardson said. "They claim the president listens to him and follows his advice." If it's true that Oktar serves as a Rasputin type of character channeling so-called divine guidance to Erdoğan, one of Turkey's most powerful rulers in decades, then perhaps Western leaders should be watching Oktar's TV show and taking notes. Turkey, which is a NATO ally, has already proved to be a growing thorn in the side of U.S. policy in the Middle East, refusing the use of its airbases for bombing raids against ISIS terrorists and providing safe haven for the militants. It has also been purchasing oil from ISIS-controlled oil wells, flooding the terrorist army with fresh cash. Richardson explores in the film how Turkey is emerging as the dominant power in the Middle East and is positioning for a showdown with other powers, most notably Iran and Egypt. Eventually, a coalition of Middle Eastern nations will invade Israel, Richardson says in the film, which moves seamlessly from biblical prophecies to current affairs.
  10. Dave Daubenmire 8 hours ago Do Black Lives Really Matter to Black Leadership? I hope this makes all the race-baiters squeal. They can save their ink and they can save their time; I will not apologize for speaking the truth. Someone needs to expose the frauds. For most of my life I bought into the white-guilt that the media so diligently worked to shove down my throat. Most white-Americans are still programmed to feel guilty for the way that blacks have been treated as if we are each individually responsible for their plight. This is why Sharpton and his ilk are so powerful and so wealthy Well, Praise the Lord, I have been set free from that set of chains. Blacks, like all Americans, are accountable for the condition they find themselves in; just as I am. The Civil Rights Act of 1964, signed on Independence Day weekend, outlawed racial discrimination in America. I was 12 years old at the time. The 'War on Poverty' which was also launched in 1964 has seen the transfer of over $15 TRILLION to help raise Americans out of poverty. Yet, as Jesus told us, the poor are still with us. Our inner cities are war zones populated by large numbers of poor, fatherless, black children. As bad as I feel about their condition, and as much as I do to try to help, the truth is that government dependency and lack of personal responsibility is to blame for destroying a majority of America's inner city neighborhoods. Government dollars cannot overcome issues regarding the content of one's character. And despite the protestations of the professional race-hustlers, it is not the white man who has held our black citizens down. Sorry to break the bad news to my black brothers and sisters, but black leadership has done it to you. They have sold you out. Recently a new slogan has appeared on the American scene. "BLACK LIVES MATTER" is the new catch-phrase designed to create a false-narrative in the battle to blame everyone but the black man for the condition he finds himself in. Here is the question we must ask, although you will never hear anyone say it and you will never find someone wearing a shirt that speaks this truth. Do Black lives really matter? I would posit that to those who are passing themselves off as "black-leadership" in America that individual black lives do not really matter. To Wit: The world recently showed up to protest in the streets of Paris over the murder of 17 innocent human beings. Nearly every world leader was there in solidarity against the theology that would exhibit such hatred and violence against innocent people. Yet, covered up during the same news cycle was the death of 2000 people killed by Boko Haram for the crime of being Christian. This massacre took place not in white-European France, but in the "dark continent" nation of Nigeria. Yet there is no marching in Nigeria. No cry for unity against the slaughter of 2000 black Christians. Could it mean that black lives don't really matter? While America was turned upside down the past few months over the police-involved killings of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, the "black-leadership", with the help of their puppets in the press, failed to mention that our inner cities have become war zones for young black men where, according to Rudy Guliani, 93% of all homicides are committed by blacks upon other blacks. Wanna know the truth? To those who scream "race" the loudest, black lives don't really matter. Recent statistics show that in Jackson, Mississippi, where the state's last remaining abortion clinic continues to operate, "healthcare" that is provide has resulted in the death of over 40,000 black children. This statistic alone is staggering until you look deeper and find that blacks account for over 72% of all abortions in Mississippi since 1996. In New York City it has been reported that in 2012 more black babies were aborted (31,328) than were born (24,758). Minority blacks are a majority in abortions as 42% of every abortion in New York was performed upon a black baby. Across the nation, blacks make up about 12% of the population yet they are victims of nearly 40% of all pre-born murders. The statistics prove that to the "black-leadership" some black lives don't really matter. According to US News and World Report only 68% of black students graduate from high school. Statistics show that nearly 1-3 young black men will spend time in prison in their lifetime, today nearly 1 million black men are in jail, and 70% of black children are born into a home where there is no father present. As if that's not enough, 85% of those who interact with juvenile courts are functionally illiterate, while 70% of all inmates in America's prisons cannot read above the 4th grade level. Although literacy is a great measure of future success in life America, "black-leadership" keeps inner city black-children imprisoned in failing schools. Evidently black success, and consequently black lives, don't really matter. And it is "black-leadership" that is selling them out. Under Gene Harris, former Superintendent of Columbus, Ohio schools, administrators were caught "data-rigging" the records of inner city black children. To put it in blunt terms, they changed grades and records for thousands of minority children thereby depriving them of tutoring and extra help. The reason? It seems that there were financial incentives for the "leaders" in making the achievements of the children more palatable. Several of these administrators have gone to jail. More should. Thousands of young black children will never recover from the loss of education. Oh, did I mention that Dr. Gene Harris is black? Black lives matter, huh? It is just a slogan. Much of America's "black leadership" should be in jail. Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, called blacks "human weeds." Evidently much of the "black-leadership" agrees with her. The stark reality is that money matters...not the lives of black children. Money drives black activism...not black lives. Do individual black lives really matter to black leadership?
  11. Yup, it is honest and clear... however, I didn't write it. Not sure who the author is but, I do agree with it. People just need to realize what is going on both in the physical and in the spiritual because if they don't they are going to be ccaught completely off-guard and that results in mass chaos.
  12. No offense taken... I just wanted to clarify that I wasn't picking on the pope or Catholisim LOL. tankdude, Hello my Brother... and very well said. I know many times people get upset about these kind of topics but, doesn't matter what religion you follow if it isn't in line with the Father's Word and it is antichrist (and NO, I am not saying the pope is THE antichrist) in spirit then that's what it is! Blessings in Yahushua
  13. Sorry, I didn't write it but, the point is that the pope is engaging in and attempting to mix the profane with the Holy... and that is not of YHWH/God. It's not just the Catholic religion, it is ALL religion that is doing this.
  14. divemaster, Just wanted to say thanks for the earlier correction to flatdawg... and yes, we definitely need to step out of the denial of what is happening... people are afraid and would rather call it crazy or make up excuses or just follow the shuffling sound of the herd but, we need at this point an overdose of truth in this world because humanity is already beyond hurting... we are on the verge of complete destruction.
  15. True but, why can't a believer in the one true God YHWH get down on thier knees and pray in these schools and colleges?
  16. Well, they keep talking about it... I just wish they would be done with him already!
  17. Obama Violates Agreement With Israel And Begins Training Palestinian Armed Guards NTEB News Desk | January 15, 2015 The US Consulate, stationed on the edge of the Jewish neighborhood of Arnona in West Jerusalem, sees itself “as the embassy of the United States of America in Palestine.”“Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.” Psalm 135:21 (KJV) Last time I checked, Jerusalem was the Eternal Capital city of Israel, or so says the holy bible. So why does the Obama administration refer to it’s consulate there as the “embassy of the United States of America in Palestine.”? And why are they arming Palestinians in violation of a long-standing agreement with Israel to not do that? The US Consulate in Jerusalem is training a force of 35 Palestinians from East Jerusalem to serve as armed guards, particularly for consular trips to the West Bank’s Area A, which is off-limits to Israelis, the Times Of Israel reported on Wednesday. US Consulate General in Israel’s capital city of Jerusalem The arrangement violates a 2011 agreement between Israel and the consulate, the Hebrew daily Yedioth Ahronoth stated, whereby only IDF combat veterans would be authorized to carry arms as consulate guards. “The consulate was authorized to keep roughly 100 handguns for security staff, on condition that they be either American diplomats or Israeli army veterans,” the paper’s Itamar Eichner wrote. Additionally, Israeli guards at the consulate alleged that the Palestinians were being trained with firearms in Jericho at a Palestinian Preventative Security base and in the United States.
  18. The Pope’s Embrace Of Evolution Brings Us One Step Closer To A One World Religion By Michael Snyder, on October 28th, 2014 Pope Francis - Photo by Alfredo BorbaIf you wanted to create a religion that almost everyone would love, how would you do it? Perhaps you would change your faith to make it more appealing to a modern world that is changing at blinding speed. Perhaps you would indicate that you are willing to become more “mainstream” on hot button issues such as *** rights. Perhaps you would invite leaders of other religions from all over the planet to come visit you and make it clear that you consider all of those religions to be valid as well. And all of that “unscientific stuff” about God creating the world in six days and creating mankind out of the dust of the Earth? Well, all of that is just going to have to be thrown out. If all of this sounds vaguely familiar to you, that is because this is exactly what Pope Francis has been doing. To say that Pope Francis is an extremely popular pontiff would be a massive understatement. He was showered with praise by media outlets all over the globe when he responded to a question about homosexuality with the following phrase: “Who am I to judge?” From the earliest days of his papacy, he has been visited by an endless stream of religious dignitaries from all over the planet, and they all seem to have nothing but good things to say about him. At this point, even most Muslims seem to love this Pope. Earlier this year, Pope Francis took the unprecedented step of authorizing “Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran” at the Vatican for the first time ever. This Pope seems to have a sixth sense for making the right public relations moves, and he appears to be destined to become one of the most loved popes ever. This week, Pope Francis is making headlines all over the world for publicly embracing the Big Bang and the theory of evolution. The following are some of the Pope’s statements that are popping up in newspapers worldwide… -“When we read about Creation in Genesis, we run the risk of imagining God was a magician, with a magic wand able to do everything. But that is not so.” -“The Big Bang, which today we hold to be the origin of the world, does not contradict the intervention of the divine creator but, rather, requires it.” -“Evolution in nature is not inconsistent with the notion of creation, because evolution requires the creation of beings that evolve.” And not only has the Catholic Church eagerly embraced these theories, there are also several prominent Catholic theologians that are now fully condemning the idea of a “young Earth” and the idea that God created man in a single day. In fact, the head of the Vatican Observatory says that such notions are “almost blasphemous theology”… As previously reported, earlier this month, Guy Consolmagno with the Vatican Observatory told Australia’s Fairfax Media that young earth creation beliefs are nearly tantamount to blasphemy. “It’s almost blasphemous theology,” Consolmagno alleged, according to the Brisbane Times. “It’s certainly not the tradition of Catholicism and never has been and it misunderstands what the Bible is and it misunderstands what science is.” Really? Consolmagno is quite an interesting character. He also says that he is looking forward to the day when extraterrestrials show up, and he would be quite willing to baptize them if that is what they want… Consolmagno, who is the keeper of the Pope’s meteorite collection, said he would be happy to baptize extraterrestrial creatures if they wanted the blessing. He added the presence of extraterrestrial life, “does not disprove the existence of God”. Instead, the discovery of “tentacled horrors from the void” should lead people to question what being human means. “When we say human, human as compared to what?” he asked. In a 2010 statement, Consolmagno said that “all entities – despite how many tentacles they might have – have a soul”. In the booklet, Consolmagno tries also to answer important questions, such as, “Should the Church send out missionaries to alien planets?”, “What’s going to happen when the world ends?” and “Do extraterrestrials have their own version of Jesus?” Right now, the Catholic Church is experiencing a resurgence in popularity. The changes that this new Pope is making seem to be drawing in lots of new people. But there is one group that Pope Francis does not seem to care for very much at all, and that is Christian fundamentalists. It is not just creation that he disagrees with them about. He disagrees with them about a whole host of issues, and he says that there is not any room for “fundamentalism” in Christianity… Following his first visit to the Middle East as pope last month, the pontiff criticized fundamentalism in Christianity, Islam and Judaism as a form of violence. “A fundamentalist group, even if it kills no one, even it strikes no one, is violent. The mental structure of fundamentalism is violence in the name of God.” But precisely what is “fundamentalism”? The following is the definition that you get when you do a Google search… “a form of a religion, especially Islam or Protestant Christianity, that upholds belief in the strict, literal interpretation of scripture.” So does the Pope actually have a problem with people that believe that the Bible is literally true? Perhaps someone should ask him that question. And it is obvious that the Pope does not believe what the Bible literally says about how the world was created and about how humanity came to be. Of course most people these days would agree with the Pope, but what does the science actually tell us? When people debate these issues the attitude of most evolutionists seems to be that everybody else believes in Darwinism so you better believe it too. But that doesn’t work for me. As an attorney, I am always looking for the evidence. And I have been searching for good evidence for the theory of evolution for decades. But I haven’t been able to find any. I have investigated these matters very carefully, and I have concluded that the scientific evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of those that argue that God created this world. I have published these points before, but I think that they bear repeating. The following facts are from my previous article entitled “44 Reasons Why Evolution Is Just A Fairy Tale For Adults“… #1 If the theory of evolution was true, we should have discovered millions upon millions of transitional fossils that show the development of one species into another species. Instead, we have zero. #2 When Charles Darwin came up with his theory, he admitted that no transitional forms had been found at that time, but he believed that huge numbers certainly existed and would eventually be discovered… “Lastly, looking not to any one time, but to all time, if my theory be true, numberless intermediate varieties, linking closely together all the species of the same group, must assuredly have existed. But, as by this theory, innumerable transitional forms must have existed, why do we not find them embedded in countless numbers in the crust of the earth?” #3 Even some of the most famous evolutionists in the world acknowledge the complete absence of transitional fossils in the fossil record. For example, Dr. Colin Patterson, former senior paleontologist of the British Museum of Natural History and author of “Evolution” once wrote the following… “I fully agree with your comments about the lack of direct illustration of evolutionary transitions in my book. If I knew of any, fossil or living, I would certainly have included them …. I will lay it on the line – there is not one such fossil for which one could make a watertight argument.” #4 Stephen Jay Gould, Professor of Geology and Paleontology at Harvard University, once wrote the following about the lack of transitional forms… “The absence of fossil evidence for intermediary stages between major transitions in organic design, indeed our inability, even in our imagination, to construct functional intermediates in many cases, has been a persistent and nagging problem for gradualistic accounts of evolution.” #5 Evolutionist Stephen M. Stanley of Johns Hopkins University has also commented on the stunning lack of transitional forms in the fossil record… “In fact, the fossil record does not convincingly document a single transition from one species to another.” #6 If “evolution” was happening right now, there would be millions of creatures out there with partially developed features and organs. But instead there are none. #7 If the theory of evolution was true, we should not see a sudden explosion of fully formed complex life in the fossil record. Instead, that is precisely what we find. #8 Paleontologist Mark Czarnecki, an evolutionist, once commented on the fact that complex life appears very suddenly in the fossil record… “A major problem in proving the theory has been the fossil record; the imprints of vanished species preserved in the Earth’s geological formations. This record has never revealed traces of Darwin’s hypothetical intermediate variants – instead species appear and disappear abruptly, and this anomaly has fueled the creationist argument that each species was created by God.” #9 The sudden appearance of complex life in the fossil record is so undeniable that even Richard Dawkins has been forced to admit it… “It is as though they [fossils] were just planted there, without any evolutionary history. Needless to say this appearance of sudden planting has delighted creationists. Both schools of thought (Punctuationists and Gradualists) despise so-called scientific creationists equally, and both agree that the major gaps are real, that they are true imperfections in the fossil record. The only alternative explanation of the sudden appearance of so many complex animal types in the Cambrian era is divine creation and both reject this alternative.” #10 Nobody has ever observed macroevolution take place in the laboratory or in nature. In other words, nobody has ever observed one kind of creature turn into another kind of creature. The entire theory of evolution is based on blind faith. #11 Evolutionist Jeffrey Schwartz, a professor of anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh, openly admits that “the formation of a new species, by any mechanism, has never been observed.” #12 Even evolutionist Stephen J. Gould of Harvard University has admitted that the record shows that species do not change. The following is how he put it during a lecture at Hobart & William Smith College… “Every paleontologist knows that most species don’t change. That’s bothersome….brings terrible distress. ….They may get a little bigger or bumpier but they remain the same species and that’s not due to imperfection and gaps but stasis. And yet this remarkable stasis has generally been ignored as no data. If they don’t change, its not evolution so you don’t talk about it.” #13 Anyone that believes that the theory of evolution has “scientific origins” is fooling themselves. It is actually a deeply pagan religious philosophy that can be traced back for thousands of years. #14 Anything that we dig up that is supposedly more than 250,000 years old should have absolutely no radiocarbon in it whatsoever. But instead, we find it in everything that we dig up – even dinosaur bones. This is clear evidence that the “millions of years” theory is simply a bunch of nonsense… It’s long been known that radiocarbon (which should disappear in only a few tens of thousands of years at the most) keeps popping up reliably in samples (like coal, oil, gas, etc.) which are supposed to be ‘millions of years’ old. For instance, CMI has over the years commissioned and funded the radiocarbon testing of a number of wood samples from ‘old’ sites (e.g. with Jurassic fossils, inside Triassic sandstone, burnt by Tertiary basalt) and these were published (by then staff geologist Dr Andrew Snelling) in Creation magazine and Journal of Creation. In each case, with contamination eliminated, the result has been in the thousands of years, i.e. C-14 was present when it ‘shouldn’t have been’. These results encouraged the rest of the RATE team to investigate C-14 further, building on the literature reviews of creationist M.D. Dr Paul Giem. In another very important paper presented at this year’s ICC, scientists from the RATE group summarized the pertinent facts and presented further experimental data. The bottom line is that virtually all biological specimens, no matter how ‘old’ they are supposed to be, show measurable C-14 levels. This effectively limits the age of all buried biota to less than (at most) 250,000 years. #15 The odds of even a single sell “assembling itself” by chance are so low that they aren’t even worth talking about. The following is an excerpt from Jonathan Gray’s book entitled “The Forbidden Secret“… Even the simplest cell you can conceive of would require no less than 100,000 DNA base pairs and a minimum of about 10,000 amino acids, to form the essential protein chain. Not to mention the other things that would also be necessary for the first cell. Bear in mind that every single base pair in the DNA chain has to have the same molecular orientation (“left-hand” or “right hand”)? As well as that, virtually all the amino acids must have the opposite orientation. And every one must be without error. “Now,” explained Larry, “to randomly obtain those correct orientations, do you know your chances? It would be 1 chance in 2110,000, or 1 chance in 1033,113! “To put it another way, if you attempted a trillion, trillion, trillion combinations every second for 15 billion years, the odds you would achieve all the correct orientations would still only be one chance in a trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion … and the trillions would continue 2755 times! “It would be like winning more than 4700 state lotteries in a row with a single ticket purchased for each. In other words…impossible.” #16 How did life learn to reproduce itself? This is a question that evolutionists do not have an answer for. #17 In 2007, fishermen caught a very rare creature known as a Coelacanth. Evolutionists originally told us that this “living fossil” had gone extinct 70 million years ago. It turns out that they were only off by 70 million years. #18 According to evolutionists, the Ancient Greenling Damselfly last showed up in the fossil record about 300 million years ago. But it still exists today. So why hasn’t it evolved at all over that time frame? #19 Darwinists believe that the human brain developed without the assistance of any designer. This is so laughable it is amazing that there are any people out there that still believe this stuff. The truth is that the human brain is amazingly complex. The following is how a PBS documentary described the complexity of the human brain: “It contains over 100 billion cells, each with over 50,000 neuron connections to other brain cells.” #20 The following is how one evolutionist pessimistically assessed the lack of evidence for the evolution of humanity… “Even with DNA sequence data, we have no direct access to the processes of evolution, so objective reconstruction of the vanished past can be achieved only by creative imagination.” #21 Perhaps the most famous fossil in the history of the theory of evolution, “Piltdown Man”, turned out to be a giant hoax. #22 If the neutron were not about 1.001 times the mass of the proton, all protons would have decayed into neutrons or all neutrons would have decayed into protons, and therefore life would not be possible. How can we account for this? #23 If gravity was stronger or weaker by the slimmest of margins, then life sustaining stars like the sun could not exist. This would also make life impossible. How can we account for this? #24 Why did evolutionist Dr. Lyall Watson make the following statement?… “The fossils that decorate our family tree are so scarce that there are still more scientists than specimens. The remarkable fact is that all of the physical evidence we have for human evolution can still be placed, with room to spare, inside a single coffin!” #25 Apes and humans are very different genetically. As DarwinConspiracy.com explains, “the human Y chromosome has twice as many genes as the chimpanzee Y chromosome and the chromosome structures are not at all similar.” #26 How can we explain the creation of new information that is required for one animal to turn into another animal? No evolutionary process has ever been shown to be able to create new biological information. One scientist described the incredible amount of new information that would be required to transform microbes into men this way… “The key issue is the type of change required — to change microbes into men requires changes that increase the genetic information content, from over half a million DNA ‘letters’ of even the ‘simplest’ self-reproducing organism to three billion ‘letters’ (stored in each human cell nucleus).” #27 Evolutionists would have us believe that there are nice, neat fossil layers with older fossils being found in the deepest layers and newer fossils being found in the newest layers. This simply is not true at all… The fossil layers are not found in the ground in the nice neat clean order that evolutionists illustrate them to be in their textbooks. There is not one place on the surface of the earth where you may dig straight down and pass through the fossil layers in the order shown in the textbooks. The neat order of one layer upon another does not exist in nature. The fossil bearing layers are actually found out of order, upside down (backwards according to evolutionary theory), missing (from where evolutionists would expect them to be) or interlaced (“younger” and “older” layers found in repeating sequences). “Out of place” fossils are the rule and not the exception throughout the fossil record. #28 Evolutionists believe that the ancestors of birds developed hollow bones over thousands of generations so that they would eventually be light enough to fly. This makes absolutely no sense and is beyond ridiculous. #29 If dinosaurs really are tens of millions of years old, why have scientists found dinosaur bones with soft tissue still in them? The following is from an NBC News report about one of these discoveries… For more than a century, the study of dinosaurs has been limited to fossilized bones. Now, researchers have recovered 70 million-year-old soft tissue, including what may be blood vessels and cells, from a Tyrannosaurus rex. #30 Which evolved first: blood, the heart, or the blood vessels for the blood to travel through? #31 Which evolved first: the mouth, the stomach, the digestive fluids, or the ability to poop? #32 Which evolved first: the windpipe, the lungs, or the ability of the body to use oxygen? #33 Which evolved first: the bones, ligaments, tendons, blood supply, or the muscles to move the bones? #34 In order for blood to clot, more than 20 complex steps need to successfully be completed. How in the world did that process possibly evolve? #35 DNA is so incredibly complex that it is absolutely absurd to suggest that such a language system could have “evolved” all by itself by accident… When it comes to storing massive amounts of information, nothing comes close to the efficiency of DNA. A single strand of DNA is thousands of times thinner than a strand of human hair. One pinhead of DNA could hold enough information to fill a stack of books stretching from the earth to the moon 500 times. Although DNA is wound into tight coils, your cells can quickly access, copy, and translate the information stored in DNA. DNA even has a built-in proofreader and spell-checker that ensure precise copying. Only about one mistake slips through for every 10 billion nucleotides that are copied. #36 Can you solve the following riddle by Perry Marshall?… 1) DNA is not merely a molecule with a pattern; it is a code, a language, and an information storage mechanism. 2) All codes are created by a conscious mind; there is no natural process known to science that creates coded information. 3) Therefore DNA was designed by a mind. If you can provide an empirical example of a code or language that occurs naturally, you’ve toppled my proof. All you need is one. #37 Evolutionists simply cannot explain why our planet is so perfectly suited to support life. #38 Shells from living snails have been “carbon dated” to be 27,000 years old. #39 If humans have been around for so long, where are all of the bones and all of the graves? The following is an excerpt from an article by Don Batten… Evolutionists also claim there was a ‘Stone Age’ of about 100,000 years when between one million and 10 million people lived on Earth. Fossil evidence shows that people buried their dead, often with artefacts—cremation was not practised until relatively recent times (in evolutionary thinking). If there were just one million people alive during that time, with an average generation time of 25 years, they should have buried 4 billion bodies, and many artefacts. If there were 10 million people, it would mean 40 billion bodies buried in the earth. If the evolutionary timescale were correct, then we would expect the skeletons of the buried bodies to be largely still present after 100,000 years, because many ordinary bones claimed to be much older have been found. However, even if the bodies had disintegrated, lots of artefacts should still be found. #40 Evolutionists claim that just because it looks like we were designed that does not mean that we actually were. They often speak of the “illusion of design”, but that is kind of like saying that it is an “illusion” that a 747 airplane or an Apple iPhone were designed. And of course the human body is far more complex that a 747 or an iPhone. #41 If you want to be part of the “scientific community” today, you must accept the theory of evolution no matter how absurd it may seem to you. Richard Lewontin of Harvard once made the following comment regarding this harsh reality… We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, . . . in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated commitment to materialism. . . . we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counterintuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door. #42 Time Magazine once made the following statement about the lack of evidence for the theory of evolution… “Yet despite more than a century of digging, the fossil record remains maddeningly sparse. With so few clues, even a single bone that doesn’t fit into the picture can upset everything. Virtually every major discovery has put deep cracks in the conventional wisdom and forced scientists to concoct new theories, amid furious debate.” #43 Malcolm Muggeridge, the world famous journalist and philosopher, once made the following statement about the absurdity of the theory of evolution… “I myself am convinced that the theory of evolution, especially the extent to which it’s been applied, will be one of the great jokes in the history books of the future. Posterity will marvel that so very flimsy and dubious an hypothesis could be accepted with the incredible credulity that it has.” #44 In order to believe the theory of evolution, you must have enough blind faith to believe that life just popped into existence from nonlife, and that such life just happened to have the ability to take in the nourishment it needed, to expel waste, and to reproduce itself, all the while having everything it needed to survive in the environment in which it suddenly found itself. Do you have that much blind faith? So what do you believe?
  19. Muslim call to prayer to sound at Duke UniversityPosted 4:49 p.m. Tuesday Updated 5:13 p.m. yesterday Durham, N.C. — A weekly call to prayer for Muslims will be heard at Duke University starting Friday, school officials said. Members of the Duke Muslim Students Association will chant the call, known as adhan or azan, from the Duke Chapel bell tower each Friday at 1 p.m. The call to prayer will last about three minutes and be “moderately amplified,” officials said in a statement Tuesday. “The adhan is the call to prayer that brings Muslims back to their purpose in life, which is to worship God, and serves as a reminder to serve our brothers and sisters in humanity,” said Imam Adeel Zeb, Muslim chaplain at Duke. “The collective Muslim community is truly grateful and excited about Duke’s intentionality toward religious and cultural diversity.” In majority Muslim countries across the globe, the adhan is broadcast from mosques and on television and radio stations five times a day to correspond with prayer times. On Fridays, the day of worship in Islam, sermons are also broadcast. In the United States, amplified adhan exists in a handful of communities. “This opportunity represents a larger commitment to religious pluralism that is at the heart of Duke’s mission,” said Christy Lohr Sapp, the chapel’s associate dean for religious life. “It connects the university to national trends in religious accommodation.” The announcement by Duke drew criticism from Franklin Graham, president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan's Purse. He took to social media on Wednesday to express his views and urge Duke donors to suspend support. "Duke is promoting this in the name of religious pluralism. I call on the donors and alumni to withhold their support from Duke until this policy is reversed," he said on his Facebook page.
  20. Agreed Patty, It is just painful to watch. I mean REALLY painful. I don't know about anyone else here but, I shed tears for those who are still walking in darkness because I completely understand what the end result is and I don't want that for anyone.
