  5. I like the AK. I was sold on it when I did OPFOR training years ago. The weapon continued to function flawlessly in the harshest of conditions. Don't take me wrong, I like the AR as well, but they would not stand up to the tasks and conditions that we had at the time. The AR is like a Swiss watch. Fine detail and you have to take care of it to work properly. The AK on the other hand, it is a beast. I don't care what Mikhail Kalashnikov says, he copied the German StG-44, the first modern assault rifle. He might have made some changes to the weapon design for the better, but the StG-44 did influence him greatly.

  7. That was good LGD. Thanks.. Nelg, in my opinion, they are not believers then. SD, first, look at the Torah. It is said that it was given to Moses by GOD, which I do believe. There is a reason that it is to be copied perfectly. Any mistake, and you start over from the beginning. Has been that way for thousands of years. Second, Daesh uses the follow us or die tactic, you have no choice. GOD and the Bible does not do that. Yes, it does give a harsh reality of what will happen if you do not accept GOD and ask for his forgiveness, but where the difference lies is that you have a choice. You have the choice to try and live your life according to his word, or you can live your life in sin. Either way, I believe we will stand before him and account for all we have done. After being judged, some will take the stairs going up, while others will take the stairs going down. Plain and simple. I hear all the time that GOD is a peaceful, all loving GOD that will not judge hard and will let things slide because he will forgive them. People that say and think this are only kidding themselves because of the ill they are doing. People seem to forget or do not want to read the last few pages or the chapters that talk about his return. When he returns, he is coming with a sword in his hand to take care of business.
  8. Rest in Peace my beloved US of A. I write this with a heavy heart and hope that it does not get too emotional for me. Some may agree with me, some may disagree and then others are going to hate me for what I am going to say and then someone may even call me an idiot. I may jump back and forth in what I have to say, so please bear with me. At this point, I really don’t care what anyone has to say or think, because I am going to express my right to free speech at least one more time before this government tries to take it away. The past few days, nay, the past few months/years, this country has gone over the proverbial cliff. As with anything that just goes over the cliff, it will pick up speed. We are seeing the buildup of that speed right now as we spiral downward. The week of June 22-26, 2015 will be seen as the death of the United States. As I grew up in small town America, I learned we really had no worries. We were taught to be respectful to all. We rode our bikes everywhere, played baseball in the spring and summer and football in the fall and winter. When we left the house to go to the store, we never locked our front door, usually leaving it open and just the screen door closed. There was no worry. If you wanted to buy something, you got a job and worked so you would have the money for it. There were no handouts. I worked all kind of jobs while in school. Not always for the money to buy things, but because that was what was expected for a young man growing up. It was a lesson on learning how to take care of yourself and eventually your family one day. After finishing school and being old enough to join the service, I decided to leave small town America and enlist in the Army. I felt a great since of pride and honor to serve and give my time to my country. I have a family linage of military service for this country that goes back to the Revolutionary War. Again, I hope you can see the honor and pride I have had to continue what MY forefathers have done for this Great Nation. I have served this Nation honorably as an enlisted soldier and as a commissioned officer. Now that you know where I am coming from, I am going to tell you what I feel and see right now with this once Great Nation. I am going to start my rant on this cr@p about the Confederate flag and what I have been hearing the past week. I believe all of this rhetoric is a distraction for what is really going on, but I will get to that later. What happened in Charleston was a tragedy. It was caused by a sick, demented, and spiritually lost individual. But trying to tie all of this to a flag like is being done is BS. Let me start with this. Slavery has been around for thousands of years and still occurs in the world today. But the slavery most think about as in the 1700’s to 1800’s has not been on these shores for 150 years. I believe slavery is morally and ethically wrong, but it is part of the past as the Great Nation was growing. Trying to completely remove all history of this past is wrong. The Civil War was not started over slavery; it started over tariffs and states’ rights. Slavery became the main issue out of it. Lincoln even stated that he was not going to change anything about slavery in the beginning. There were slave owners in the North at this time as well. Research your history and you will see this. The Civil War was a terrible conflict for the Nation where brother did fight against brother. As I said, my family military linage goes back to this conflict and all of my kin did fight on the side of the South, one under Gen. Hood and another under Gen. Lee. I know they did not own slaves, but as any history that goes back 150 years, I can’t tell you why they fought for the South or what they were thinking, but that is what they did and there is nothing I can do to change that. This is part of my family history though and I take offense for someone trying to erase it, even if I don’t agree with all of what they did. If the people, by a majority vote, decide to remove a symbol of the Confederate States from a state capital then that is fine, but to go as far and say we have to rename schools and military bases because they are named after people who fought for the Southern States, then I really take offense and cannot believe the idiocy of the people in this nation. The majority of these men went on to serve for the federal government after the Civil War. If we are going to change this part of our history, then we need to change that part with our founding fathers as well, because some of them were slave owners. We must remember all parts of our history, good and bad, in order to fight for what is right and to keep it from happening again. Will it happen? I do not see it, because slavery is still alive today in this nation, just in a different form. How is slavery alive today? It is alive because we, as a nation, have become a nation of entitlements and handouts. How did this happen? Well, let’s look back at history. The Democratic Party has done the best flanking maneuver or end around play in history and no one can really see it or they don’t want to believe it. What party was for slavery, for segregation and against civil rights? The Democratic Party. What party spawned the KKK and used it as its terroristic arm? The Democratic Party. What happened in the mid 1960’s when the civil rights movement and desegregation was passed? The American Communist Party dissolved and the vast majority joined the Democratic Party. Using the Communist Manifesto, they worked on increasing welfare and entitlements to the low income and minorities. Today, whether they or you want to admit it or not, are slaves to the Democratic Party and their entitlement handouts. What party was against slavery, against segregation, stood up for civil rights and for the right of each person to work and succeed through their hard work? The Republican Party. Today, the majority of the Republican Party has been so demonized for where it once stood, that it is now useless and spineless. The majority of the Republican Party, afraid of being demonized, is now in bed with the Democratic Party. These career political elite will now decide what is best for the people, because the people cannot decide for themselves. How can the people decide when over 55% of the people receive handouts from the government now? How have we, as a Nation, allowed this to happen? I see two main reasons. First, this Great Nation was founded and built on the word of GOD. GOD has been taken out of just about everything dealing with this Nation. People do not understand separation of church and state. It was so the government could not have a state run church, like England had with the Church of England, one where the government forced you to participate in its religion. All of our founding fathers worshiped GOD; it is in their writings and beliefs. It is not hard to find reference after reference of that. Today, if my child at school wants to pray and give thanks to our LORD he may be suspended or sued because it offends someone. It is hard for me to believe where this country has gone. Why does it offend some? Because there is no more middle of the road here in America. If the people of this Great Nation got back with GOD and put him first in everything, the sun would shine on this Nation again. If you don’t believe me, read the BOOK. Second, this Nation has lost its common sense. When did we lose our common sense? When we became a nation of entitlements and handouts, and when the good voter registered people decided that jury duty was a burden to them. The state had to get jurors, so they started picking from other lists, like drivers license, social security and welfare lists. That is how we got to a point where a jury will award millions to a person that spilled coffee on them and got burned because they did not know the coffee was hot or cut themselves on a knife because they did not know the knife was sharp. That is why we need warning labels on everything today, so a company will not be sued because an idiot was doing something they shouldn’t have. When people have not had to work, when everything has been given to them, then they will look for an easy way to make a buck. We have allowed our courts to be filled with judges that have facilitated this lack of common sense. So why will this week be seen as the death of this Great Nation? Everything I have said above is finally coming to a head. I don’t care if you align yourself with the Republican Party or the Democratic Party; both parties have built a government and done things that will let this country fall. We have allowed our most recent president rule this country like a king or tyrant, one that will make laws with his “pen and phone”. We have allowed a government to build a vast spy network so it can monitor the citizens of this nation. We have allowed a government the ability to use its resources, like the IRS and ATF, to go after and destroy political opponents or ones that do not agree with the government. We have allowed a government to label Christians, Veterans, Constitutionalists and those who do not believe in the government’s way of life as possible home grown terrorists. We have now allowed the highest court in this nation, make law from the bench. When you read the dissents of the Honorable Justice Scalia, you will see how this court has gone the wrong way. Then today, the High Court did it again. They threw out GOD and have allowed what GOD calls an abomination in his eyes to be the law of the land. By an overwhelming vote by the majority of people in the states, the people have decided that marriage is between a man and a woman. But this court has decided it knows what is best for all of the people and they do not care about states’ rights or the majority of the people. So where does this leave us today? Next weekend, we will celebrate the 239th year of this Great Nation. The average age of great civilizations is about 200 years. There are nine stages of a nation. 1 – From bondage to spiritual faith; 2 – from spiritual faith to great courage; 3 – from courage to liberty; 4 – from liberty to abundance; 5 – from abundance to selfishness; 6 – from selfishness to complacency; 7 – from complacence to apathy; 8 – from apathy to dependence; 9 – from dependency back again into bondage. Some will say we are at stage 7 and some will say we are at stage 8. I believe we are progressing from 8 to 9. There is only one way to keep out of bondage, and that will be through revolt and civil disobedience. I hate to even use those words when talking about this Great Nation. That is what I see for the future of this Great Nation, unless we the people stand up for what is right and seek GOD’s wisdom. If we don’t, then GOD will judge this nation and that judgment is coming soon. It’s time to wake up America, time to get on your feet and fight to stay alive. In a statement issued on June 19 by the United Nations Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent (yes, that actually exists), committee chairwoman Mireille Fanon Mendes-France demanded that “urgent measures must be taken to prevent gun violence.” Making a point of distinguishing this crime for its effect on “the security of Afro-Americans,” the UN group sent their “heartfelt condolences to the people of the United States of America.” If the United Nations has its way, there will much more to mourn about in the United States of America. As part of the global effort to grant monopoly control of weapons of all sizes to UN-approved “state actors,” the Arms Trade Treaty mandates the forcible disarmament of all others. The scheme was endorsed in the “name of the people of the United States” by Secretary of State John Kerry on September 25, 2013. “I am very pleased to have signed this treaty here today. I signed it because President Obama knows that from decades of efforts that at any time that we work with — cooperatively to address the illicit trade in conventional weapons, we make the world a safer place. And this treaty is a significant step in that effort,” Kerry said at the signing ceremony. Promptly, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon thanked Kerry and Obama for their complicity in consolidating UN control over weapons and ammunition: "Today, a number of countries signed the Arms Trade Treaty, pushing the total number of signatures to more than half of all Member States." The secretary-general, as the depository of the treaty, welcomes every signature to this important pact. At the same time, it is of particular significance that the largest arms exporting country in the world, the United States, is now also among those countries who have committed themselves to a global regulation of the arms trade. He believes this will contribute to efforts to reduce insecurity and suffering for people on all continents. He calls upon other countries to follow suit. Since the date of the treaty's signing by Kerry, a number of senators have warned President Obama not to try to enforce the terms of the agreement by use of his infamous “pen and phone.” In 2013, Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), the ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, sent the president a letter reminding him that: As you know, Article II, Section 2 of the United States Constitution requires the United States Senate to provide its advice and consent before a treaty becomes binding under United States law. The Senate has not yet provided its advice and consent, and may not provide such consent. As a result, the Executive Branch is not authorized to take any steps to implement the treaty. President Obama knows this and he also knows that in March of that year, 53 senators voted “to uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.” Americans know something, too. They know that this administration has never failed to use every murderous act of armed violence as a pretext for tyranny. From Newtown to the Navy Yard to the latest atrocity committed at a church in Charleston, President Obama has issued scores of executive orders directly violating the Constitution’s explicit prohibition on the infringement of the right to keep and bear arms. In a statement made to The Blaze, Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina pointed to this predilection on the part of the president and bolstered her position, saying that “South Carolina has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation.” As reported by The Blaze, “South Carolina is one of five states that have an outright ban on open carry firearms.” Adding, “South Carolina’s concealed carry law requires permit applicants to undergo a background check, submitting two sets of fingerprints, and take a state-approved class on gun safety before passing a written test and a live firing range test.” Regardless of the rigorous background checks to which one must submit in South Carolina before being permitted by the government to purchase a gun, the question remains: Why should any government possess the power to disarm its citizens? Do I have the power to disarm my neighbor if I believe him to be “dangerous?” Certainly not. If I tried to go over and take his weapon I’d likely be arrested for trespass and assault. Where, then, does government — that is nothing more than the collective expression of the people’s natural right of self-defense — get the power to make legal for them what would be illegal for an individual? While the UN’s Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent may be correct in calling the barbarous act committed at the Emanuel African Methodist Church a “racist crime motivated by prejudice,” nothing in the words or executive orders of President Obama would have prevented it from happening. The same goes for the Arms Trade Treaty. The secretary-general, the secretary of state, and every presidential candidate can claim that they want to talk about additional gun regulations out of consideration for the safety of innocent people, but what they really intend to do is take liberty from innocent people and leave those people defenseless to do anything about it. Arguably, the Arms Trade Treaty would become the law of the United States if the Senate were to ratify the treaty. While that is the process that the Constitution establishes for the implementation of treaties, fundamental principles of construction and constitutional law dictate that no treaty that violates the Constitution can become the supreme law of the land. In the case of the UN’s Arms Trade Treaty, there is no doubt that regardless of presidential signatures or congressional consent, this treaty cannot pass constitutional muster and therefore will never be the valid law of the land. Unless, of course, Americans once again acquiesce to President Obama’s assumption of illegal authority and relinquish their rights and weapons regardless of the reasons they should not do so. This nightmare scenario took a giant leap toward reality on Thursday, June 18 when 218 members of Congress voted to grant the president “trade promotion authority (TPA),” the so-called “fast track.” With this new power, the president is free to unilaterally issue international executive orders that are binding on the United States, so long as those orders concern trade. Is there any question whether President Obama will use this new power over “trade” to implement the provisions of the UN’s Arms Trade Treaty? Somewhere, perhaps, a teleprompter is being loaded with a speech mourning the death of so many innocent men and women and promising to “heal” the country by making it more difficult for people to “own, buy, sell, trade, or transfer” (the language from the ATT) firearms. There is not a person of sound mind who doesn’t deplore and denounce crimes such as that committed in Charleston. Senseless brutality leaves us all scarred and diminishes our collective virtue. Wise men, however, would also recognize that statements such as that issued by the United Nations Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent demanding that “urgent measures” be taken to reduce gun violence will — as with all similar statements made since the establishment of the modern state — have no effect on violence. It will, however, leave Americans unable to defend themselves against the most violent armed force ever created: government.
  11. Thanks Yota, that was spot on. They will not come and take all of the guns in this nation at one time, not that they wouldn't try. It would almost be impossible. They will go after the ammunition first as they already have. Look at the amounts that the government has ordered. Look at what the ATF tried to do with the M855 5.56 ammo recently. Look at the bans on foreign ammo now in the most popular calibers. This isn't over folks. They will keep banning ammo types, possession and manufacture. They will tell you that you can keep your guns, you just can't have the ammo. Look at the "ammo shortage" now. We were told it was because of military production for the Iraqi war. Well I am sorry folks, I don't buy all of that, not now. We are talking about one of the greatest industrial nations in the world. Why are there still shortages and limits on some calibers of ammo? As they say, "Follow the Money". Look at the groups that are buying the weapons and ammo manufactures right now. They lead back to one person, George Soros. That is why when people ask me what caliber weapon they should get, I tell them to get something that the gov't uses. The way I look at it is if the SHTF and the gov't does something really stupid, then I should be able to keep my weapons fed. Commons calibers are 9mm and .40 cal for pistol and 5.56 for rifle. You may find 7.62 (.308), since it is still used.

When you have an idiot that tries to destroy the very foundation of this country, you are going to have people resist. Unfortunately, most of the sheeple do not see what is going on. They are blind to it all. That is why he got a second term. Unless we have a lot of changes for the better, get good qualified people into office, and get this country on the right track, we will not recognize our Great USA in 10 years.

  16. WOW bohica, you are on a roll this morning !!! So true.. It is headed that way. But I can say this. You always hear about local PD's wanting to disarm and have gun control regulations and such. These statements come form the top, from the chiefs and deputy chiefs, not from the guys on the streets. I can promise you this, if it comes down to it, 90-95% of the street cops right now will stand with the citizens and not with some NSF that will violate the Constitution.

  18. On Sunday evening of May 3rd, two islamic terrorist made an attempt to commit a terrorist act on US soil. Because of the quick actions of a police officer at the scene, in Garland, Tx, these two terrorist were shot dead in the street with no American lives being lost. Now, almost 40-hours since the attack, ISIS has claimed responsibility and the president has yet to issue any type of statement. However, on Monday, he had the time to fly to New York, attend a round table discussion at Lehman College, go make an appearance and tape an episode on the David Letterman Show and then attend a DNC functionction that evening before flying back to DC. This is, in my opinion, an epic failure for the highest office of our country. He has been so quick to pass judgement and to make statements against the police and their departments if it meets his agenda. Where is the commendation for the officer and the Garland PD for their heroic actions against this terrorist attack? Where is the condemnation against this attack on US soil?
  19. Trinity, there is evil all around in everything. It will be on this planet till the day the Good Lord comes back and takes care of it. Now, if you were to say is there corruption in the system, then I would say yes, there is to a small degree. But then again, there will be corruption in every profession when there is someone that has a different agenda other than the right one. As far as your impression, "that when you put a good person in a corrupt system, their good nature is pressured to entertain corruption.", I would disagree to a certain degree. A good honest person may take offense to that, and I know I probably would if you just came up to me and said something like that. I believe if a person has a good value and belief system established, then I would say no, its not going to corrupt him. He will do what is right. You have to apply your quote to all professions. Does a hard working honest banker skim off the top of the daily till because it is there? No, he doesn't if he is honest and good. But, if he falls to evil and greed sets in, then he might just do it one time. That one time will lead to another and then another because it will get easier for him to do. So now you could say that the system is corrupt because the banker will steal your money when you take it in bank. You can apply that to all professions. Like I said, there are a whole lot of good people out there and then there are some bad ones. You always hear about the bad and hardly ever about the good.
