Shabibi had said that the notes we have now will stay in circulation for something like 5-10 years. They would be used for inter bank transactions and such. If that is the case, then these notes will have to maintain their face value. You can’t have a note that says $25,000 and say ‘no, it’s only worth $25’. That will not work for banking purposes. Could the scenario have changed since then. Sure it could have, but I doubt it. You don’t change horses in the middle of a race.

10 years come to my mind. I may be wrong, but I know it was for a few years at least. They would slowly phase them out and they would be used mainly for large bank to bank type transfers from what I remember. However, that may all change since they are going all digital.

@JonnyV From the time Isaiah prophesied the coming of the Messiah to his arrival was roughly 700 years. Would you say he was wrong? Remember, these things are not on man’s timetable but GOD’s. Also, can GOD change his mind? What if GOD sent a prophet to declare he was was going to destroy a nation. But that nation, fearing GOD, fell on their knees and humbled themselves before GOD asking for his forgiveness and mercy. Would he still destroy that nation as he had told the prophet to say or would he not destroy it because he changed his mind because the nation repented. It doesn’t mean the prophecy was wrong, because that was what GOD was going to do, but GOD decided to change what he was going to do because the nation got the message.

I think you are right on this. The citizens will have to empty their mattresses, bring their dinar to the bank and get their card to pay for their gas and groceries. I don’t think they will wait too long before raising the rate as they said. That will encourage the die-hards to bring theirs in for more purchasing power. At the same time, how many dinar holders here with give it up for $.76? That will bring in more notes across the globe. After this, they will reinstate to its former glory. Probably somewhere in the $3-$4 range. Folks remember two things they have constantly said other that “soon” 😂, sorry, couldn’t resist. They have said they want parity with the dollar and restore it to its former glory. I think they will go to the $.76 or somewhere close. That is a win-win for them, especially when they later “restore” their value.
