  1. We'll call you double D Dancer if that's alright with you! 😆
  2. I don't think the people in Iraq care or even know what the exchange rate is between the dollar and the dinar. If I didn't look it up, I wouldn't know what the exchange rate is between the dollar and the Mexican peso. All I know (and all they know) is that my dollar doesn't go as far any more and it keeps on getting worse. They are just like we are: they just want the dinar to be worth more.
  3. I am hoping this is why the dinar/dollar is going in the wrong direction for us. Once they collect all (most) of the money, they can change the value of it. Kind of like when the US confiscated all the gold and then raised the price.
  4. The same thing is happening here and we aren't protesting. A lot of people think inflation is when prices rise. It is actually when the purchasing power of your currency goes down. My brother in law is a contractor and he has had several people cancel building their houses because of lumber prices. Used car prices have gone up over 17% in the last year. Look at gas prices. Inflation is something we want to grumble about but very few people do anything about it.
  5. OOOH, they caught a bicycle smuggling ring!! 😂 What's next? A beany baby cartel? We'll call it the BBC!
  6. It seems to me, that with all that desert sun they have, an array of solar panels would do better there than anywhere else. Have they tried that? If solar panels can't handle the job in the desert, where will they work?
  7. Davis, you could offer a dinar for people to join you, but I think right now a cookie is worth more!
  8. My little sister is named Sharmin. The tp came out when she was about 2 years old. Oh the laughs we have had with that over the years! How many of you remember the song, Please Don't Squeeze My Sharmin? That's what she was named after.
  9. It's kind of like here in the US. People (on all sides of the political spectrum!) take advantage of our wealthy country for their own financial interests. Some our covert about it and some are blatant. Some stories are put into the media, but most are not. For anyone to say corruption doesn't happen in our government is naive. The same things happen with most governments. We want to complain about it with Iraq because we are invested there. It's a fact of life. Anywhere there is a lot of money, there will be corruption and theft. If all you read about is the corruption and theft, you tend to get jaded. This is why I never went into law enforcement. I have the utmost respect for these men and women who can deal with the dregs of society day after day and still see some good in people. Let's do the same with Iraq. There are good people over there who want this done as much as we do.
  10. Yota, is this for real or is this the fox teaching the chickens how to guard the henhouse?
  11. Maybe the plan all along has been to get it to go the wrong way until the people revolt and then "fix it", so the government can then be the savior of the people.
  12. Sometimes I wish I was famous and then I could say things that are completely obvious and have everyone quote me like I was some international guru. And then I come to myself and think, "Naaaa!" Thank you Yota.
  13. Karsten, I agree with you. In the grand scheme of things, 40 years is not a long time. I think it was Warren Buffett that said, "the markets are a mechanism to transfer wealth from the impatient to the patient". There is no denying that foreign exchange currencies are a market. Patience is the key.
  14. And if you don't make your rent payments, do you have to give it back? 😁
  15. Yes I can, but they haven't put the full amount in my account. If I do two transactions, will I have two transaction fees, or am I tripping over pennies to make dollars?
  16. Hey Keylime, I just opened an account on Webull and I am waiting for my deposit to hit so I can buy some AMC. Thank you for the tip!
  17. My dad, who is 81 and has had a heart attack about a decade ago, was diagnosed with STUPID-19. He quarantined for 10 days, but took ivermectin the day of his diagnosis and the day after. He never had any symptoms at all and is now doing fine. I have a friend who is with a global missionary team and they all take ivermectin as a preventative measure. It's cheap and you can get it at almost any "farm" store. We got ours at Tractor Supply.
  18. LGD, I don't know if you know Jim Nance or not. He is a very famous sportscaster. He just seems like such a nice guy. He and his wife divorced several years ago and she got $987,000 a month in alimony! She probably didn't have to change her lifestyle too much! 😁
  19. The OFAC list is a list of suspected terrorists. I use it every day in my business. As of January 1, 2014, any time you buy a car from a car dealership, they are supposed to run your name against the OFAC list and make sure you are not on the list. I had one guy that wanted a car. When I ran his name, my whole screen turned red and it asked me to verify that this guy was not one of the 12 people on the list. If he was one of the 12, I was supposed to call this 800 number and report him. He wasn't one of the 12 people, but my heart stopped for a minute!
  20. People talk about equal rights. There are no equal rights because men and women aren't equal. They are different. They both have strengths and they both have weaknesses. One country singer has a song talking about women and says, "They're sitting on the world we're trying to win". That's why you are correct, Smokey Mtn. Dinar!
