  2. Maliki's interrogation file will be submitted to parliament this week, says Iraqiya

    26/06/2012 11:18 :butt-kicking:

ERBIL, June 26 (AKnews) – The file for interrogating Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki will be submitted this week to the parliament presidency and the process will be subject to a democratic, legal and constitutional framework, said an Iraqiya spokesperson.

Haidar al-Mullah said questioning any government official is the promotion of democratic practices.

Mullah added the interrogation will continue, noting that the legal committee is continuing to prepare the interrogation files, which will be presented during this week to the presidency of the House of Representatives.

Maliki's opponents - Iraqiya List, the Sadrist Movement and the Kurdish Blocs Coalition - have formed three committees, governmental, constitutional and legal, for the purpose of questioning al-Maliki. The opponents insist on withdrawing confidence from the PM.

President of Iraq Jalal Talabani three weeks ago rejected the request for withdrawing confidence from Maliki. Talabani said in statement that the number of collected signatures amounted to 160, not enough for the legal quorum of 164. For that reason Talabani decided not to send the signatures to the House of Representatives and returned them to the Kurdistan Region's presidency.

Sami said the Council demanded documents and evidence against charges of "secret oil contracts between Nujaifi and Kurdistan Region… but there was none" and the council voted to Nujaifi once more.

  4. if i remember right r s s skelton said it starts in kentucky i think !! :lol: or was it alabama ? :blink: as far as the topic that is what i was thinking they were compairing it too ,,, bring it on baby --- thanks folks ----------- > question { where does a kamel keeper , keep her kamels ?}

Oh, you devil you. I have to know you a little better than that to do Kamel Talk with you. Keep talking...I'm listening.......... :P

    ill take it and run

beat you to the door........ B)

The following is the last part of the article we are talking about.

........The market is in weeks fluctuation in the exchange rate of the dinar against the U.S. dollar, which cited experts to restrictions imposed by the Bank on sales of hard currency. and the imposition of bank procedures more stringent in the auction to sell the dollar after it said that the currency you go to countries neighbors, especially Syria and Iran imposed upon economic sanctions. and drew Najib is Deputy for the Kurdistan Alliance that “the project will be implemented over two years by government banks, and will be part of the new currency coins of small denominations as there will be coins large corresponding to $ 180-200 thousand Iraqi dinars from the current currency. “

In my calculations, which may be in error, I do not see the 90 cents. Here is what I came up with.....

$180 for every 200,000 dinar that we have.

Say a person is invested for 1,000,000 IQD's.

    I find out how many 200,000 IQD's are in that 1,000,000 = 5 units

    Then, those 5 units x $180 (each) = $900.00

I am not a math person. Please hold me by the hand, and show me how you reached 90 cents per dinar.

Boy, I sure hope that my math is wrong..... won't be the first time, nor the last !!!! :D

Let me see if I can remember what I did:

    I took 25,000 dinars.

Divided 25,000 dinar by 200 dinar to get the units in 25k

    Which equalled 125 units

Multiplied the 125 units by $180 which equaled $22,500.

Right or wrong, that is what I did. B)

  5. I guess this is "your way" of admitting you have no proof whatsoever that Iraq currently has HYPERINFLATION or understand how many different complicated definitions that word has. I agree with you. You don't have that evidence. Also, I noticed you've backtracked from Hyper to High. Good move.

Hey there always great to see you. Been a long day. Hope you had a good one. Glad you're here to relax and enjoy the evening with us. :cigar:

My friend, the first round is on me. Straight up or rocks? B)

Thanks for the link. Something to entertain me while I drink like a sailor.

  6. I may have miss the quote, but where does Shabibi say "when it comes to a revaluation,..."? And I'm especially interested in the word "revaluation". BTW, revaluation does not mean increase in value.

If I may, I believe it was said at April 2011 in New York City - the speech and comments are on video somewhere around here. The trip included Talabani's visit to the UN and he spent two million dollars, and Dr. Shabibi spoke at the WB. I think that is correct.

  7. This no different than any other investment. People will invest specific amounts based on many differing reasons & circumstance. Only difference is that most don't have forums such as this. And if you are taking any financial advise from any fictional character such as found here,well....................................to each his own. IMO this site as well as others should be taken as entertainment. There are NO experts here, only some who think of themselves as such. Best to all

That, and my mother taught me not to put all my eggs in one basket.

  8. Well then take a look at history and Iraqs position now.....if you cant put two and two together, then no one can help you.....

What you stated is exactly what puts Iraq in the same position as other countries that lopped.....you should really understand what your saying before putting it out there.....your not helping the situation by twisting this information around into something we want.....in my eyes that makes you no better then Okie....

Keep, don't you remember the lesson of: delivery, delivery, delivery! SWFG has been communicative, gracious and shares what he believes to be true with everyone, and you do the same, but in a completely different manner. I hope you don't wonder why you get negged. It is not necessarily your comment, but your tone. Why in the world would you insult someone like that? Who looks stupid? Not SWFG. Geez.

You have so much more going for you than that. You need to realize that. Your words could be like butter and you would have people at your feet.

Since the adoption of the Constitution of Iraq, such as oil and gas law the most outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil, the House of Representatives did not succeed the former and current to find consensus on a common formula for the oil and gas law.

The dispute is between Arbil and Baghdad on 41 oil contracts signed by the provincial government since 2007 until now and Baghdad described the absence of transparency in the signature. See you in Paris. I'll be the one at the sidewalk cafe with the latte and twirling with a Rat Terrier named Sophie.......and I will be looking for Martini.

    Ciao bella

It is for this very reason we would be foolish to believe anything that comes from Iraq.

True, i.e., one article on the tariffs delay stated the proper personnel were not in place to handle the traffic and process for goods coming into Iraq at the borders. An article a few days ago stated specifically that four (4) foreign companies were contracted (as in past tense) to do exactly this job. Experts that can deploy in time? I doubt it. Many of us know how long the governmental contracting / RFP process takes - a minimum of six months for this job, and every country has people that are unemployed that would jump at this, especially a retired military person.
