If the subsequent financial institution they were working with went belly up so to speak, you would not be under the same banking protection as you would using a bank in the USA. So you take a chance anyway that it will not happen. Germany is part of Europe and look at the financial state of Europe at the moment, it does not look good. You read several posts and you think, 'great its on the move' then in another post you read they have walked out of a meeting again kicking each other camels' and it starts again, things are pushed back a week or two. Its been like a roller coaster ride for months now. Up and down, up and down.....But it has to stop eventually, stop safely or crash, who knows......

I could have bought more dinar manys times, but why bother. Happy with the amount I have. Its not huge by any means but if it RV's at a goodish amount I will have made a nice nest egg. But to keep adding to the pile, IMHO its not worth it, as we dont know what will happen. Its not only spend what you can afford to loose, it to me is only spend what you dont mind loosing if it goes south in the end.

Dr Shab's needs to RV quickly then.
