A majority of the eight suicides of 2014 have been very public demonstrations, which has suicide-prevention experts puzzled. “Jumping is much less common as a method for suicide in general, so I am struck by the number that have occurred in recent months in this industry,” said Dr. Christine Moutier, chief medical officer of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Moutier also discounts the location of the act as being the driver behind the reason for the suicide. “The suicide-research literature doesn’t help very much with the question of why the method of these suicides is so out in the open,” she added. 4. Leaderless Resistance... The American Patriot Model explained. Read & Share!! March 18, 2014 at 7:29pm The concept of Leaderless Resistance was proposed by Colonel Julius Louis Amoss, who was the founder of International Service of Information Incorporated, located in Baltimore, Maryland. Colonel Amoss died more than fifteen years ago, but during his life he was a tireless opponent of Communism, as well as a skilled intelligence officer. Colonel Amoss first wrote of Leaderless Resistance on April 17, 1962; his theories of organization were directed primarily against the threat of eventual Communist take-over in the United States. Colonel Amoss feared the Communists; like we must fear the Federal government.Communism now represents a threat to no one in the United States, while Federal tyrannyrepresents a threat to everyone. This note is posted in the hope that, somehow, America can still produce the brave sons and daughters necessary to fight off ever increasing persecution and oppression. Frankly, it is too close to call at this point. Those who love liberty, and believe in freedom enough to fight for it, are rare today, but within the bosom of every once great nation, there remains secreted, the pearls of former greatness. They are there. I have looked into their sparkling eyes; sharing a brief moment in time with them as I passed through this life. I have relished their friendship, endured their pain, and they mine. I have fought shoulder to shoulder with them in battles past!! When we are falsely labelled “domestic terrorists” or “cultists” and suppressed, it will become necessary to consider other methods of organization - or as the case may very well call for: non-organization. One should keep in mind that it is not in the government’s interest to eliminate all groups. Some few must remain in order to perpetuate the smoke and mirrors vision for the masses that America is a “free democratic country” where dissent is allowed. Most organizations, however, that possess the potential for effective resistance, will not be allowed to continue. Anyone who is so naïve as to believe the most powerful government on Earth will not crush any who pose a real threat to that power, should not be active, but rather at home studying political history. The question as to who is to be left alone and who is not, will be answered by how groups and individuals deal with several factors such as: avoidance of conspiracy plots, rejection of feeble-minded malcontents, insistence upon quality of the participants, avoidance of all contact with the front men for the Federals - the newsmedia - and, finally, camouflage (which can be defined as the ability to blend in the public’s eye the more committed groups of resistance with mainstream Kosher associations that are generally seen as harmless). Primarily though, whether any organization is allowed to continue in the future will be a matter of how big a threat a group represents. Not a threat in terms of armed might or political ability, for there is none of either for the present, but rather threat in terms of potentiality. It is potential the Federals fear most. Whether that potential exists in an individual or in a group is incidental. The Federals measure potential threat in terms of what might happen given a situation conducive to action on the part of a restive organization or individual. Accurate intelligence gathering allows them to assess the potential. Showing one’s hand before the bets are made is a sure way to lose. The movement for freedom is rapidly approaching the point where for many people, the option of belonging to a group will be nonexistent. For others, group membership will be a viable option for only the immediate future. Eventually, and perhaps much sooner than most believe possible, the price paid for membership will exceed any perceived benefit. But for now, some of the groups that do exist often serve a useful purpose either for the newcomer who can be indoctrinated into the ideology of the struggle, or for generating positive propaganda to reach potential freedom fighters. It is sure that, for the most part, this struggle is rapidly becoming a matter of individual action, each of its participants making a private decision in the quietness of his heart to resist: to resist by any means necessary. It is hard to know what others will do, for no man truly knows another man’s heart. It is enough to know what one himself will do. A great teacher once said “know thyself”. Few men really do, but let each of us promise ourselves not to go quietly to the fate our would-be masters have planned. The concept of Leaderless Resistance is nothing less than a fundamental departure in theories of organization. The orthodox scheme of organization is diagrammatically represented by the pyramid, with the mass at the bottom and the leader at the top. This fundamental of organization is to be seen not only in armies, which are of course, the best illustration of the pyramid structure, with the mass of soldiery, the privates, at the bottom responsible to corporals who are in turn responsible to sergeants, and so on up the entire chain of command to the generals at the top. But the same structure is seen in corporations, ladies’ garden clubs and in our political system itself. This orthodox “pyramid” scheme of organization is to be seen basically in all existing political, social and religious structures in the world today from the Federal Government to the Roman Catholic Church. The Constitution of the United States, in the wisdom of the Founders, tried to sublimate the essential dictatorial nature of pyramidal organization by dividing authority into three: executive, legislative and judicial. But the pyramid remains essentially untouched. This scheme of organization, the pyramid, is however, not only useless, but extremely dangerous for the participants when it is utilized in a resistance movement against state tyranny. Especially is this so in technologically advanced societies where electronic surveillance can often penetrate the structure revealing its chain of command. Experience has revealed over and over again that anti-state, political organizations utilizing this method of command and control are easy prey for government infiltration, entrapment, and destruction of the personnel involved. This has been seen repeatedly in the United States where pro-government infiltrators or agents provocateurs weasel their way into patriotic groups and destroy them from within. This is why I consistently warn of not trying to work with more than 40-50 people you know and trust! In the pyramid type of organization, an infiltrator can destroy anything which is beneath his level of infiltration and often those above him as well. If the traitor has infiltrated at the top, then the entire organization from the top down is compromised and may be traduced at will. An alternative to the pyramid type of organization is the cell system. In the past, many political groups (both right and left) have used the cell system to further their objectives. Two examples will suffice. During the American Revolution “Committees of Correspondence” were formed throughout the Thirteen Colonies. Their purpose was to subvert the government and thereby aid the cause of independence. The “Sons of Liberty”, who made a name for themselves dumping government taxed tea into the harbor at Boston, were the action arm of the Committees of Correspondence. Each Committee was a secret cell that operated totally independently of the other cells. Information on the government was passed from Committee to Committee, from colony to colony, and then acted upon on a local basis. Yet even in those bygone days of poor communication, of weeks to months for a letter to be delivered, the Committees without any central direction whatsoever, acted remarkably similar tactically to resist government tyranny. A recent example taken from the left wing of politics is the Communists, who in order to get around the obvious problems involved in pyramidal organization, developed the cell system to an art. The Communists had numerous independent cells which operated completely isolated from one another and particularly with no knowledge of each other, but were orchestrated together by a central headquarters. For instance, during World War II, in Washington, it is known that there were at least six secret Communist cells operating at high levels in the United States Government (plus all the open Communists who were protected and promoted by President Roosevelt), however, only one of the cells was rooted out and destroyed. How many more actually were operating no one can say for sure. The Communist cells which operated in the United States until late 1991 under Soviet control could have at their command a leader who held a social position which appeared to be very lowly. He could be, for example, a busboy in a restaurant, but in reality a colonel or a general in the Soviet Secret Service, the KGB. Under him could be a number of cells and a person active in one cell would almost never have knowledge of individuals who were active in another cell. The value of this is that while any one cell can be infiltrated, exposed or destroyed, such action will have no effect on the other cells; in fact, the members of the other cells will be supporting that cell which is under attack and ordinarily would lend very strong support to it in many ways. This is at least part of the reason, no doubt, that whenever in the past Communists were attacked in this country, support for them sprang up in many unexpected places. The efficient and effective operation of a cell system after the Communist model, is of course, dependent upon central direction, which means impressive organisation, funding from the top, and outside support, all of which the Communists had. Obviously, American patriots have none of these things at the top or anywhere else, so an effective cell organization based upon the Soviet system of operation is impossible. Two things become clear from the above discussion. First, that the pyramid type of organization can be penetrated quite easily and is thus not a sound method of organization in situations where the government has the resources and desire to penetrate the structure; which is the situation in this country. Secondly, that the normal qualifications for the cell structure based upon the Red model does not exist in the United States for patriots. This understood, the question arises “What method is left for those resisting state tyranny?” The answer comes from Colonel Amoss, who proposed the “Phantom Cell” mode of organization, which he described as Leaderless Resistance. This is a system of organization that is based upon the cell organization, but does not have any central control or direction, which is in fact almost identical to the methods used by the Committees of Correspondence during the American Revolution. Utilizing the Leaderless Resistance concept, all individuals and groups operate independently of each other, and never report to a central headquarters or single leader for direction or instruction, as would those who belong to a typical pyramid organization. At first glance, such a type of organization seems unrealistic, primarily because there appears to be no organization. The natural question thus arises as to how are the “Phantom cells” and individuals to cooperate with each other when there is no intercommunication or central direction? The answer to this question is that participants in a program of Leaderless Resistance through phantom cell or individual action must know exactly what they are doing, and how to do it. It becomes the responsibility of the individual to acquire the necessary skills and information as to what is to be done. This is by no means as impractical as it appears, because it is certainly true that in any movement, all persons involved have the same general outlook, are acquainted with the same philosophy, and generally react to given situations in similar ways. The previous history of the Committees of Correspondence during the American Revolution shows this to be true. Since the entire purpose of Leaderless Resistance is to defeat state tyranny, all members of phantom cells or individuals will tend to react to objective events in the same way through the usual tactics of resistance. Organs of information distribution such as newspapers, leaflets, computers, etc., which are widely available to all, keep each person informed of events, allowing for a planned response that will take many variations. No one need issue an order to anyone. Those idealists truly committed to the cause of freedom will act when they feel the time is ripe, or will take their cue from others who precede them. While it is true that much could be said against this type of structure as a method of resistance, it must be kept in mind that Leaderless Resistance is a child of necessity. The alternatives to it have been show to be unworkable or impractical. Leaderless Resistance has worked before in the American Revolution, and if the truly committed put it to use for themselves, it will work now. It goes almost without saying that Leaderless Resistance leads to very small or even one man cells of resistance. Those who join organizations to play “let’s pretend” or who are “groupies” will quickly be weeded out. While for those who are serious about their opposition to Federal despotism, this is exactly what is desired. Beware of those who demand that plans be explained on media like Facebook and attempt to call you you out when you do not oblige. That is the typical tactics of the moles who are trying to get you to becopme defensive. Do not ever play into their hands! From the point of view of tyrants and would be potentates in the Federal bureaucracy and police agencies, nothing is more desirable than that those who oppose them be UNIFIED in their command structure, and that every person who opposes them belongs to a pyramid type group. Such groups and organizations are an easy kill. Especially in light of the fact that the Justice (sic) Department promised in 1987 that there would never be another group that opposed them that they did not have at least one informer in. These Federal “Friends of Government” are intelligence agents. They gather information that can be used at the whim of a Federal D.A. to prosecute. The line of battle has been drawn. Patriots are required therefore, to make a conscious decision to either aid the government in its illegal spying, by continuing with old methods of organization and resistance, or to make the enemy’s job more difficult by implementing effective countermeasures. There are some in the Patriot movement who believe that we must only spread truth and that Propaganda is evil and they will also call you out and demean you for the propaganda you must use to deflect the spies!. Now there will, no doubt, be mentally handicapped people out there who, while standing at a podium with an American flag draped in the background, and a lone eagle soaring in the sky above, will state emphatically in their best sounding red, white, and blue voice: “So what if the government is spying? We are not violating any laws.” Such crippled thinking by any serious person is the best example that there is a need for special education classes. The person making such a statement is totally out of contact with political reality in this country, and unfit for leadership of any thing more than a dog sleigh in the Alaskan wilderness. The old “Born on the fourth of July” mentality that has influenced so much of the American patriot’s thinking in the past will not save him from the government in the future. “Reeducation” for non-thinkers of this type will take place in the Federal prison system where there are no flags or eagles, but abundance of men who were “not violating any law.” Most groups who “unify” their disparate associates into a single structure have short political lives. Therefore, those movement leaders constantly calling for unity of organization rather than the desirable unity of purpose, usually fall into one of three categories. They may not be sound political tacticians, but rather, just committed men who feel unity would help their cause, while not realizing that the government would greatly benefit from such efforts. The Federal objective, to imprison or destroy all who oppose them, is made easier in pyramid organizations. Or perhaps, they do not fully understand the struggle they are involved in and that the government they oppose has declared a state of war against those fighting for faith, folk, freedom and constitutional liberty. Those in power will use any means to rid themselves of opposition. The third class calling for unity, and let us hope this is the minority of the three, are men more desirous of the supposed power that a large organization would bestow, than of actually achieving their stated purpose. Conversely, the last thing Federal snoops would have, if they had any choice in the matter, is a thousand different small phantom cells opposing them. It is easy to see why. Such a situation is an intelligence nightmare for a government intent upon knowing everything they possibly can about those who oppose them. The Federals, able to amass overwhelming strength of numbers, manpower, resources, intelligence gathering, and capability at any given time, need only a focal point to direct their anger. A single penetration of a pyramid type of organization can lead to the destruction of the whole. Whereas, Leaderless Resistance presents no single opportunity for the Federals to destroy a significant portion of the Resistance. It is clear, therefore, that it is time to rethink traditional strategy and tactics when it comes to opposing a modern police state. America is quickly moving into a long dark night of police state tyranny where the rights now accepted by most as being inalienable will disappear. So Patriots.. we are asking that the coming night be filled with a thousand points of resistance. Like the fog which forms when conditions are right and disappears when they are not, so must the resistance to tyranny be. SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!!

  8. “The grand jury brings suspects before neighbors, not strangers. Just recently in Stirone v. United States, 361 U.S. 212, 218, we said, ‘The very purpose of the requirement that a man be indicted by grand jury is to limit his jeopardy to offenses charged by a group of his fellow citizens acting independently of either prosecuting attorney or judge.’” ― Justice Douglas, Hannah v. Larche (363US420) Second, the Grand Jury is empowered to judge government itself, with the power to investigate and indict, within its jurisdiction, judges, district attorneys, sheriffs, county supervisors, state attorney generals, all other government agents, and even the President of the United States. Grand Juries were given the tools to conduct investigations with powers equal to those of government: subpoena witnesses and documents; conduct questioning; even arrest, fine, or imprison anyone that refused to appear. To insure they would be free to fulfill this purpose without reprisal, jurors are immune from prosecution for their jury activities. Grand Jury findings can be presented to the public as information (presentments), or as accusations for subsequent prosecution (indictments). Interestingly, the Grand Jury clause is included with seemingly unrelated protections: from double jeopardy, forced self-incrimination, lack of due process, or property takings without just compensation. However, it is this placement that makes the purpose of Grand Juries all the clearer. They are there as a mechanism to protect all the other rights and protections of the People. Through its powers of “presentments” and “indictments” or “non-indictments,” the Grand Jury provides the most fundamental balance of power: the Power of the People to judge all three branches of government. The Grand Jury is not a branch of government. It stands on its own. “Rooted in long centuries of Anglo-American history, Hannah v. Larche, 363 US 420, 490 (1960) (Frankfurter, J., concurring in result), the Grand Jury is mentioned in the Bill of Rights, but not in the body of the Constitution. It has not been textually assigned, therefore, to any of the three branches described in the first three Articles. It is a ‘constitutional fixture in its own right.’ ... In fact, the whole theory of its function is that it belongs to no branch of the institutional Government, serving as a kind of buffer or referee between the Government and the people.” ― Justice Scalia delivering the opinion of the Court, United States vs. Williams (504US36) Operation American Spring coming May 16, 2014

  10. Gen. “Mad Dog” Mattis just gave what may be the most motivating speech of all time MARCH 3RD, 2014 | BATTLE RATTLE GENERAL OFFICERS HISTORY AND HERITAGE | POSTED BYHOPE HODGE SECK One of the Marine Corps’ most revered generals proved his mettle as a warrior poet recently, delivering a speech that summed up the Marine Corps ethos and experience–from bar fights to earth’s orbit. Gen. Jim Mattis, who retired last year from his post as head of U.S. Central Command after a 41-year career, gave this speech at the Marine Corps University Foundation’s 2014 Semper Fidelis Award Dinner on Feb. 22., where he accepted the award. Photo: Cpl. Cassandra Flowers, Marine Corps The speech is just too good to abbreviate, so here’s the whole thing. I’ve put my favorite lines in bold. Long time since we served together in Brigade, cruised the West Pac Or since I drank one of your Cokes on the March up to Baghdad. General Gray, General Conway, General Pace, General Amos, General Paxton – Marines whose very goodness put ambition out of context. Sergeant Major Barrett – a Marine’s Marine. Colonel Harvey Barnum who for so many years – your valor inspired us all to be better men. Ladies – The wonderful ladies who exemplify grace & courage Who represent our better angels and what we fight for. Thank all of you for coming out tonight – A night that celebrates our Corps’ values, its legacy and its mission. A special note of appreciation for President of the Marine Corps University Foundation Gen Tom Draude Valiant combat leader who brought a Vietnam Vet’s reassurance to us as we filed into our Desert Storm attack positions And earned our everlasting respect & affection We have Ambassadors present, Whom Marines have stood beside in foreign lands And members of Congress and staffers, To whom we owe our survival when short –sighted bureaucratic efforts challenged our existence, combined, they remind us our Corps carries more than our own hopes forward. General Conway & General Amos spoke about this Foundation – I’ll add a few words. Between Commandant’s Reading List and the Marine Corps University Foundation’s enriching the education of our warrior leaders – I have never been bewildered for long in any fight with our enemies – I was Armed with Insight. In the worst of surprises we found our training and education had prepared us well. I am a very average Marine- at this podium tonight because I repeatedly was at the right place, at the right time to gain warfighting positions. I recall a Fleet Commander asking if I could bring Marines from the Mediterranean together with a West Coast Marine Expeditionary Unit and strike 350 Nautical Miles into Afghanistan. I could, thanks to the Marines who went before me My immediate response was, “Yes”! Thanks to our Corps’ legacy of audacity Thanks to our Marines in 1950 who brought in KC 130 aircraft. Thanks to our Amphibs, which our Navy-Marine-Corps Team funded. Thanks to our Marines of the 1960 -1970s who put air refueling probes on Heavy Lift Helicopters. Thanks to our Marines who brought in Light Armored Vehicles in 1980. Thanks to our Recruiters who brought in High –Quality Marines. Thanks to our Commandant who extended boot camp and toughened it. None of this started with me – most of the thinking was done in Quantico. And for me – so often in the right place at the right time I have an enormous sense of gratitude for a Corps that gave me such capability when destiny called on our Corps to fight. Images flash through my mind– and I speak from my heart: of an Eighth & “I” parade in honor of John Glenn who remarked that night: He had been a Marine for 23 years…but not long enough. That was from a man fought in WWII & Korea and was the first American to orbit the earth, His wingman in Korea, baseball legend Ted Williams, put it well when asked which was best team he ever played on. Without hesitation he said, “The U.S. Marine Corps.” On evenings like this most of us will remember the tragedy of losing comrades Beautiful Marines whose rambunctious spirits gave us what F. Scott Fitzgerald called “Riotous excursions with privileged glimpses into the human heart.” And we remember them, everyone, who gave their lives so our experiment called America, could live. And for us who live today… We do so with a sense that each day is a bonus and a blessing. To the Veterans who brought up the current generation of Marines who imbued in us the spirit “such as Regiments hand down,” Thank you! You raised us well for our grim tasks! During our apprenticeship you coached us and honed our skills with a sense of humor in a tough school. And when the time came for us to stand and deliver, we never feared the enemy. We only feared we might somehow disappoint you. But with good NCO’s the outcome was never in doubt, And the NCO’s were superb, Sergeant Major Barrett And all Marines, regardless of rank, Stood shoulder –to-shoulder Stood co-equal in our commitment to mission Co-equal, from boot private to General Smiling to one another, even as we entered Fallujah Knowing the enemy could not stand against the Corps you Veterans honed. Because every Marine, if he was in a tough spot – whether a bar fight, or tonight in Helmand River Valley, our fellow Marines would get to us, or die trying. So long as our Corps fields such Marines, America has nothing to fear from tyrants, be they Fascists, Communists or Tyrants with Medieval Ideology. For we serve in a Corps with no institutional confusion about our purpose: To fight! To fight well! As we say out West where I grew up, “We ride for the brand”, and hold the line until our country can again feel its unity. From our first days at San Diego, Parris Island or Quantico, NCO’s bluntly explained to us that the Corps would be: Entirely satisfied if we gave 100% And entirely dissatisfied if we gave 99% And those NCOs taught us the great pleasure of doing what others thought impossible. As General Amos summed it up so well in his Marine Birthday message: “The iron discipline & combat excellence” of our Marines: Marines who never let each other down, never let the Corps down, never let our country down… Those are the Marines who define our Corps. A Corps whose old-fashioned values protect a progressive country. Marines who can do the necessary “rough work”, but without becoming evil by doing so, despite an enemy who has opened apocalyptically the aperture for who they target, to include even women and children. It’s all the more important today that we hold to our precious legacy of ferocious, ethical combat performance For in a world awash in change, Americans need to have confidence in the everlasting character of our Marines And to those Maniacs, the ones who thought that by hurting us on 9-11 that they could scare us, we have proven that the descendants of Belleau Wood, Tarawa, Iwo Jima, Chosin, Hue City & more, We don’t scare And we proved it in Fallujah & Ramadi and in the Helmand, Where foes who had never reasoned their way into their medieval views and could not be reasoned out – found that American Marines could fight like the dickens, And for the enemy it proved to be their longest and worst day against us. Now from a distance I look back on what the Corps taught me: To think like men of action, And to act like men of thought! To live life with intensity, And a passion for excellence, Without losing compassion for mistakes made, by hi-spirited young patriots who looked past hot political rhetoric and joined the Corps – which taught me to be a “coach” in General LeJeune’s style, Summoning the best from our troops The Father to Son, Teacher to Scholar bond bringing out the vicious harmony when together, we closed on the enemy. We were taught that the strongest motivation we all have, Whether an FA-18 pilot or a Huey door gunner Whether a “cannon cocker” firing a mission or logistics Marine hurrying supplies forward, The motivation that binds us is our respect for and commitment to a 19 year old Lance Corporal infantryman upon whose young shoulders our experiment called America ultimately rests…. Now this award can never be mine – And because we are members of the same tribe, every one of you knows what I will say next…. For I am grateful & humbled to be singled out with you tonight: An average Marine who always had good fortune to repeatedly be in the right place at the right time A “limited duty officer” as Commandant of the Marine Corps Jim Jones put it – who only knew what to do with me when there was a fight. But this award is truly not made to a man, to an individual, it is made through me For my work with those who shouldered Rucksacks, Work that was carried forward by our Grunts, And I will hold it in trust for those lads whose unfailing loyalty we celebrate tonight, who chose to live life fully – more than they wanted longevity. Even when I made mistakes they saved the day. And I made plenty – Like the time I got my Battalion surrounded in open dessert, with My mortar Platoon spilling out and Setting up 4 tubes pointing north, and 4 tubes pointing south and, they restored the situation… Yes, even in a jam of my own making – The lads’ spirit, skill and good humor carried us through when danger loomed. So on behalf of such lads I hold this award in trust – For the lads who prove Hemingway was right when he said, “There was no one better to have beside you when the chips were down than a U.S. Marine.” For to Marines, love of liberty is not an empty phrase… Rather it’s displayed by blood, sweat and tears for the fallen. I was humbled that our Corps allowed me to serve over four decades, Yet as Colonel John Glenn – a fighter pilot, astronaut and Senator put it – It wasn’t long enough – Semper Fidelis and May God hold our lads close.

  13. Snowden: ‘Training Guide’ for GCHQ, NSA Agents Infiltrating and Disrupting Alternative Media Online FEBRUARY 25, 2014 BY 21WIRE 4 COMMENTS 21st Century Wire says…Ed Snowden’s latest leaked documents open the lid on what is perhaps the most vindictive and disgusting aspect of the government-corporate joint surveillance state seen yet… This is Britain’s GCHQ how-to guide for Online Covert Action which, according to Glenn Greenwald (see links below) has been shared with US agencies like the NSA. Upon review, it can only be described as government-sponsored subterfuge of domestic society. According to these latest documents, there are paid government agent/contractor persons on social media posing as someone they are not, whilst on the payroll of the government. Their job is to befriend members of the alternative media, embed themselves in the ebb and flow of day-to-day communications, and then to engage in elaborate subterfuge – by any means necessary. The training exercise below uses terms like “befriend”, “infiltrate”, “mask/mimic”, “ruse”, “set-up”, “disrupt”, “create cognitive stress”, “use deception”, “ruin business relationships”, and “post negative information on appropriate forums” – all of which is not only illegal and morally bankrupt, but also runs completely contrary to the very fundamental ‘values’ and indeed founding principles, of a modern free democratic society or constitutional republic. Government targets in this malicious operation appear to be bloggers, activists, journalists, social event organisers and anyone else deemed to be a ‘emerging leader’ or voice in the public sphere, or alternative media online. This obviously extends way beyond the practice of employing paid ‘trolls’ to pollute comment sections and redirect forum threads – which still exists under both government and corporate umbrellas. Thanks to Ed Snowden (photo, left), the public – as well as moral individuals within government and the judiciary, might fully realise just how these sort of underhanded, and unlawful operations have sunk to the lowest possible levels. It’s not enough that the governments of both the UK and US are blanket spying on each other’s populations and then swapping data, but now we see how they are aggressively targeting individuals in secret, undermining them and eventually setting out to destroy them – and all the while employing organised deception (with the full backing of the state security apparatus) to achieve a series of said ‘outcomes’. That’s conspiracy to defraud, and it’s against the law in any modern civilised society. One has to pose the question: is this type of government sanctioned gang-stalking and conspiracy to defraud civilised? Most people would answer ‘no’ of course, but unfortunately most people are not making the decisions regarding these new malicious soviet-style programs in Britain and the US. It’s so comforting to know that the governments of Great Britain and the United States have allocated public money not only to spy on their own innocent citizens, but also that ample public money is also being spent to actively undermine free speech, derail small businesses, to entrap and intentionally defraud and defame unsuspecting citizens that are deemed targets by some secret committee – all carried out in an extrajudicial (outside of the law) way. Sounds very much like those horrific East German Stasi tales we all point to as history’s archetypal low-point of modern society. Those who know their history, know that this type of aggressive state attack against its own citizens has nothing to do with ‘national security’ or ‘terrorism’, but is merely a case of the state using its muscle against those who are shining a spotlight on its shortcoming and internal government corruption and criminal behaviour. By (almost) anyone’s metric, it’s a shameful chapter in history.

  15. WASHINGTON — The Senate on Tuesday passed the long-awaited farm bill, ending two years of partisan rancor and stalled negotiations and clearing what is expected to be the last hurdle for the nearly $1 trillion spending measure. The bill was passed with strong bipartisan support, 68 to 32. The legislation now heads to the desk of President Obama, who is expected to sign it. “Many people said this would never happen in this environment, but Congress has come together to pass a major bipartisan jobs bill,” said Senator Debbie Stabenow, Democrat of Michigan and chairwoman of the Senate Agriculture Committee. “This effort proves that by working across party lines, we can save taxpayer money and create smart policies that lay the foundation for a stronger economy.” The nearly 1,000-page bill reauthorizes hundreds of programs for agriculture, dairy production, conservation, nutrition and international food aid. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the bill will cost $956 billion and reduce spending on farm subsidies and nutrition by $16.6 billion over the next 10 years. But lawmakers said the savings would be much higher, around $23 billion, when sequestration cuts to agriculture programs were factored in. Among the biggest changes in the bill are cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as food stamps, the expansion of the crop insurance program and the elimination of direct payments to farmers. Direct payments have cost about $5 billion a year, and have been paid to farmers regardless of whether they grew crops. Spending on the food stamp program will be reduced by about $8 billion over the next decade, and will account for about 1 percent of the total spending in the bill. The reduction in spending will affect about 1.7 million people, who will have their benefits reduced by about $90 a month, according to the budget office. The bill’s proponents said the measure closed a loophole exploited by 16 states that helped food stamp recipients get more in benefits than they should have. But antihunger advocates said the cuts would increase the number of people in need of food, even though the bill adds about $205 million to food banks. “These cuts will be absolutely devastating,” said Sheena Wright, the president of the United Way of New York City. “Two hundred million can in no way plug a nearly $9 billion hole.” The bill adds $7 billion to the crop insurance program, a government-backed insurance subsidy that dates to the Dust Bowl. Taxpayers pay about 62 percent of the premiums. Some of the savings from the elimination of direct payments will be added to the crop insurance program. Proponents of the program said it provides a better safety net for farmers and ensures that they get help only in cases when they need it, such as a natural disaster. 27COMMENTS But critics of the crop insurance program, such as Vincent H. Smith, a professor of agriculture at Montana State University, and conservative groups like the Heritage Foundation, said the program had morphed from a safeguard against natural disasters into income support for farmers. The bill also makes changes to the international food aid program and contains several conservation measures supported by environmental and hunting groups. And it adds money to combat fraud in the food stamp and crop insurance programs. “Given all the complexity and competing interests, I think they did an adequate job,” said Dan Glickman, a former agriculture secretary and member of Congress. Mike Lee describes the evil contained in this legislation.

February 03, 2014, 11:05 am Inhofe rips 'outrageous lie' on Benghazi By Rebecca Shabad Read more: http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/197250-sen-inhofe-calls-obamas-benghazi-comments-an-outrageous-lie#ixzz2sIsEmZ3w Follow us: @thehill on Twitter | TheHill on Facebook Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) on Monday said President Obama lied about the terrorist attack in Benghazi during an interview that aired before the Super Bowl. Inhofe said the 2012 terrorist attack in Libya will “go down in history as the greatest cover-up,” and slammed Obama for claiming it was thoroughly investigated. “It’s just an outrageous lie. It’s kind of hard to call it anything else. It’s kind of like ObamaCare and the things he said in the beginning and now he’s denying it,” Inhofe said during a radio interview on 1170 KFAQ’s "The Pat Campbell Show," which based in Tulsa, Okla. The 2012 attack on an American compound in Benghazi was staged on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and killed four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. Republicans argue the administration falsely claimed that the attack was a protest gone wrong in the immediate aftermath to try and protect the president. Fox host Bill O’Reilly told Obama in the interview that “your detractors” believe the administration spun the narrative on the Benghazi attack for political reasons. "They believe it because folks like you are telling them," Obama responded, adding it took intelligence officials a while to confirm what had happened. “What I am saying is 'that is inaccurate.' We revealed to the American people exactly what we understood at the time,” Obama said. Inhofe said Monday he “applauds” O’Reilly for pressing him on Benghazi, and that Fox News is the only station that “isn’t virtually owned” by Obama. “I will say this till my dying day, I know people don’t realize it now, that’s going to go down in history as the greatest cover-up. And I’m talking about the Pentagon Papers, Iran-Contra, Watergate and the rest of them,” Inhofe said. 18. LYONS: Obama needs to come clean on what happened in Benghazi The American people deserve to know the truth There is an urgent need for full disclosure of what has become the “Benghazi Betrayal and Cover-up.” The Obama national security team, including CIA, DNI and the Pentagon, apparently watched and listened to the assault on the U.S. consulate and cries for help but did nothing. If someone had described a fictional situation with a similar scenario and described our leadership ignoring the pleas for help, I would have said it was not realistic—not in my America – but I would have been proven wrong. We now know why Ambassador Christopher Stevens had to be in Benghazi the night of 9/11 to meet a Turkish representative, even though he feared for his safety. According to various reports, one of Stevens’ main missions in Libya was to facilitate the transfer of much of Gadhafi’s military equipment, including the deadly SA-7 – portable SAMs – to Islamists and otheral Qaeda-affiliated groups fighting the Assad Regime in Syria. In an excellent article, Aaron Klein states that Stevens routinely used our Benghazi consulate (mission) to coordinate the Turkish, Saudi Arabian and Qatari governments’ support for insurgencies throughout the Middle East. Further, according to Egyptian security sources, Stevens played a “central role in recruiting Islamic jihadists to fight the Assad Regime in Syria.” In another excellent article, Clare Lopez at RadicalIslam.org noted that there were two large warehouse-type buildings associated with our Benghazi mission. During the terrorist attack, the warehouses were probably looted. We do not know what was there and if it was being administrated by our two former Navy SEALs and the CIA operatives who were in Benghazi. Nonetheless, the equipment was going to hardline jihadis. Once the attack commenced at 10:00 p.m. Libyan time (4:00 p.m. EST), we know the mission security staff immediately contacted Washington and our embassy in Tripoli. It now appears the White House, Pentagon, State Department, CIA, NDI, JCS and various other military commands monitored the entire battle in real time via frantic phone calls from our compound and video from an overhead drone. The cries for help and support went unanswered. Our Benghazi mission personnel, including our two former Navy SEALs, fought for seven hours without any assistance other than help from our embassy in Tripoli, which launched within 30 minutes an aircraft carrying six Americans and 16 Libyan security guards. It is understood they were instrumental in helping 22 of our Benghazi mission personnel escape the attack. Once the attack commenced, Stevens was taken to a “safe room” within the mission. It is not known whether his location was betrayed by the February 17 Martyrs Brigade, the local force providing security to the consulate, which had ties to the Ansar al-Sharia terrorist group conducting the attack, and to al Qaeda. Unbelievably, we still do not know how AmbassadorStevens died. The Obama national security team, including CIA, DNI, State Department and the Pentagon, watched and listened to the assault but did nothing to answer repeated calls for assistance. It has been reported that President Obama met with Vice President Joseph R. Biden and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta in the Oval Office, presumably to see what support could be provided. After all, we had very credible military resources within striking distance. At our military base in Sigonella, Sicily, which is slightly over 400 miles from Benghazi, we had a fully equipped Special Forces unit with both transport and jet strike aircraft prepositioned. Certainly this was a force much more capable than the 22-man force from our embassy in Tripoli. I know those Special Forces personnel were ready to leap at the opportunity. There is no doubt in my mind they would have wiped out the terrorists attackers. Also I have no doubt that Admiral William McRaven, Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command, would have had his local commander at Sigonella ready to launch; however, apparently he was countermanded—by whom? We need to know. I also understand we had a C-130 gunship available, which would have quickly disposed of the terrorist attackers. This attack went on for seven hours. Our fighter jets could have been at our Benghazi mission within an hour. Our Special Forces out of Sigonella could have been there within a few hours. There is not any doubt that action on our part could have saved the lives of our two former Navy SEALs and possibly the ambassador. Having been in a number of similar situations, I know you have to have the courage to do what’s right and take immediate action. Obviously, that courage was lacking for Benghazi. The safety of your personnel always remains paramount. With all the technology and military capability we had in theater, for our leadership to have deliberately ignored the pleas for assistance is not only in incomprehensible, it is un-American. Somebody high up in the administration made the decision that no assistance (outside our Tripoli embassy) would be provided, and let our people be killed. The person who made that callous decision needs to be brought to light and held accountable. According to a CIA spokesperson, “No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need.” We also need to know whether the director of CIA and the director of National Intelligence were facilitators in the fabricated video lie and the overall cover-up. Their creditability is on the line. A congressional committee should be immediately formed to get the facts out to the American people. Nothing less is acceptable. Retired Adm. James A. Lyons was commander in chief of the U.S. Pacific Fleet and senior U.S. military representative to the United Nations.
