I just think it’s a good way to keep them out of the hands of say criminals, or the mentally unstable. I think it would be very nice to have criminals without guns. Just my opinion
I would like to have been blessed with a body that can eat anything and not get diabetis or fat but that did not happen. Been blessed in many ways but not that. Enough of wishful thinking. Putting up No Gun Zone signs or passing laws that criminalize unlawful gun use isn't going to stop any criminal from doing harm.
We already have laws that should stop mentally ill people from getting guns but people are going to be people. You can't legislate morality, tax a society into prosperity or stop people from committing crimes. You can punish the ones who do commit the crimes but there has to be a hefty price to deter others.
We need to go back to the old west times of hanging horse(car) thieves, murderers and rapists. If we started giving the death penalty a workout I know it would deter a lot of people from doing some of these crimes.

Sorry I forgot. Yeah I like the idea. Just like you have to register a car or register to vote.
So you feel a constitutionally protected RIGHT should have to be registered and regulated?
How about the first? Should you have to register and pay for anything you have to say or print?
Neither of the two things you mention are protected under the Constitution.
I don't have to vote or drive a car but I sure as hell will not give up my right to self defense of me or mine and I will not pay to play.

I just want to know if Caddieman believes the original post that the California legislature does have a Bill that would force yearly registration and a fee to own a firearm in the state.
And,
Do you think it is a good idea?
Back on the topic of the thread.
Caddieman, speaking of not answering a question. You have not answered mine.

The reason that I heard this morning was a large solar flare hit and disrupted services.
Otherwise I got nothing.

They are already taxing and licensing a protected right under the Constitution.

Take this guy out first. Then each time they announce the next potential leader they take them out.

You are conflating P.O.W. with the Jan 6th patriots that went to protest peacefully, and were targeted for arrest by the 100- 200 FBI Agents that were amongst them disguised as Trump Supporters. Oddly the FBI also declared in a report that there was No Insurrection that fateful day, just a riot. And that the Capital Police and Secret Service were more like tour guides verses Law Enforcement Officials. Per the TC videos.
I was referring to the headline in the original posts article.

More than 3,480 Palestinians are being detained in Israeli prisons without charge or trial, a prison activist group said today

Now they know what the Jan 6 Patriots feel like. No charges or trials.

I guess if a person dies from:
Gunshot
Car wreck
Step in front of ( bus, train, car)
Overdose
Heart attack
To name a few. You could say they died of Sudden Death Syndrome.
All believable since he was the political enemy.

If you watch the whole video, the camera they are using when looking up to the balloon looked like a special lense.
Several parts of the video the horizon looks curved. I still have not seen a video or picture of all the continents in one shot. Any lens you use to get that picture is probably a fisheye type. Depending on what your selling I guess.

Not sure what you are trying to show.
Balloons will pop the higher they go due to the less external pressure exerted on the outside.
