I'm curious how this would effect countries such as Syria or Iran, speaking on current events, where their currency has been devalued to enforce restrictions and curtail the violence or opposition they present.

I served 3 tours in Iraq and I know at LSA Anaconda we would spend dollars at the local PX or BX. The return change was never in coins, but in POGS(think thats what they were called) which was denominations for coins. They were only legal tender at those places. There was no other source of coins or none in circulation unless you brought some over. I think most vendors possibly charged to the whole dollar since there weren't any coins. Now that was just inside the wire. I cannot account for outside.

Chrissy, welcome to Dinar vets. My best advice is only invest the amount you're willing to lose. I have personally bought more recently and always have lived by what I previously stated. I have purchased from Dinar banker for several reasons. They are a registered broker in the ME and they are registered through the UST. Those two are very big in my book knowing that the dinar I have purchased is legal. GO RV!

Yes, CBI will be in control when the denoms are implemented and exchange rates. That is nothing new. Besides, this is a old article. We definitely have heard different news since.

Assuming that the dinar will RV in the near future The brokers/banks are in it for a business. They make money NOW by transaction fees and exchange fees. They don't care about the future or what is to happen or speculation. They aren't allowed to just sit on it and wait it out. Even if they had inside information, legally they can't purchase any theirselves. They have to make money now, and not wait. Also, when Kuwait revalued..how many brokers do you think took their share? I'm willing to bet the same amount that are investing in Dinars. Also, no time in history have people been able to invest in such large amount of hard currency. As of now, Iraq passed a law that no more than 200k can leave their borders. the cost to buy dinar would have risen significantly on its own due to supply & demand There is no supply and demand on the Dinars. It isn't internationally traded. No matter how many people buy, the rate will stay at what CBI current rate is. the availability of dinar should dry up or significantly increase in value Its a definitely that it will have value, but its just a matter of when. You see alot of people on here who have invested, and alot of people who have sold who just can't hold out anymore.

There would be so many litigation's against that bank if they did tell you of any forthcoming information about the dinars. Second, if any bank has a chance to make money off currency exchange; Of course they will get their hands in it.

I highly doubt they would only help their own citizens. That would be bad business for any outside investors/accounts.

Ahh the insight from those who have never set foot in these countries. It truly will open your eyes to a new life and make you feel grateful for what you have.
