  1. Zain Iraq likely to raise over $1 bln from IPO http://english.mubasher.info/ISX/news/2396379/Zain-Iraq-likely-to-raise-over-1-bln-from-IPO 16 September 2013 08:57 AM Zain Iraq expects wealthy individuals to be the largest subscriber group in the telecom operator's 2014 IPO and looks to raise more than $1 billion, the telco's chief financial and operating officer Wael Ghanayem told Reuters yesterday. The IPO will likely raise "north of $1 billion", the top official said. Zain Iraq's Ghanayem expects the IPO to attract high net worth investors from Iraq and abroad, followed by Iraqi and foreign institutions and then local retail investors. Zain Iraq claimed 48% of Iraq's mobile subscribers as of June 30 and its half-year revenue was $855 million, while Asiacell's 36 percent market share generated earnings of $962 million over the same period. Zain Kuwait owns 76% of Zain Iraq and previously stated it would be the sole seller in the IPO, but Ghanayem said the exact offer structure had yet to be decided, according to Reuters. "We could change this from being a pure secondary sale into maybe including a primary component as well," he said. "The business is generating cash, but ... there's a need to invest additional capital expenditure, so we may elect to have a primary component." Selling new shares in the IPO could make it more attractive to potential investors, analysts say, because these proceeds would remain with Zain Iraq. "We will be engaging in discussion with the regulators to give us feedback on what we should do, so the offer structure should be nailed down by the end of this year," added Ghanayem. Iraq is the most important market for Zain in terms of customers and earnings, accounting for 31% of the company's subscribers and 40 percent of revenue in the first half of 2013. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// I wonder what the opening price will be. I hope lower that Asia Cell's 22 IQD/share, but it seems like Zain is aiming high. I was looking to invest some more into BBOB, currently trading at 1.57 IQD, but I may hold off for Zain. Some other companies are trading fairly low like IMAP and BUND as well. What do you guys think?
  2. Eek! Sorry. Didn't mean to ruin the fun. But here's a video of a really cute Boston Terrier. I love these dogs. http://youtu.be/xla5eMry1DE
  3. I agree, true born again Christians are in a process of sanctification, becoming Christ like as we work out our salvation as Paul puts it (this in no way means good works brings salvation as Paul clarifies). We have our individual faults in our flesh we are working to shed. But some one this site and on the internet I find hard to believe are born-again, but rather are merely cultural Christians that simply identify with Christianity due to culture, rather than actually believing in Him. I can find no other explanation for the disgusting words and behavior some display.
  4. You are correct, sir. That pastor seems like he needs some time in a prayer closet and so do those who are supporting him on this site and else where. Somehow, I don't think you're going to get it.
  5. I'd argue many self-proclaimed Christians on this site need to as well . . .
  6. aitshioud, If find out anything about Al-Karma, let us know. We'd love to hear about your experience with them if you decide to try them out. The more good brokers out there, the better.
  7. Not true. Even at that time, many of the fighters weren't even Syrian, but were coming from Libya and other countries. We already knew many had ties to Al-Qaeda and other radical groups. Romney was simply taking political shots at Obama. Either way, why should it matter if 100,000 are killed or 1 is killed. Many in the US don't want to be apart of it in any way, so if Romney/Obama supported it then or now, they're still not listening to the people.
  8. Considering Romney was accusing Obama of not aiding the rebels enough and wanted to give them much heavier weapons, I don't think Biden was too far off . . .
  9. But, but, Reagan can do no wrong! He's a god among men! *sarcasm*
  10. Odd you had trouble with AL-Jazeera. Most would say they've had no problems with them. Al-Karma looks good, especially if they have no minimums. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
  11. Every guru has their "sources" or "boots on the ground" , , , . . . and they are always wrong.
  12. sad story. I pray he gets through this and gains enough wisdom to be financially responsible. we can't blame others for our mistakes, especially after repeating the same mistake time and again.
  13. Did you warn the other posters do the same thing?
  14. True words. Let's hope it doesn't fall on deaf ears.
  15. I love how the mods have let this fail of a thread continue . . . you know, with the classless name calling and all. To each their own.
  16. Man, how about the US post show facts to support their position this was Assad. Others have posted plenty of quotes from chemical weapons experts doubting the Western powers and rebels claims that it was Assad. What's the Western powers proof it was Assad? Oh wait, they haven't provided any! They've only beat their chests and screamed, "We KNOW it was Assad" without providing an iota of evidence . . . which would seem impossible considering they're not even in the country to inspect the evidence! This is the same garbage Bush pulled off with his WMD lies. And the same people are falling for it hook, line, and sinker.
  17. Who cares if Obama is *** or not or supports *** athletes. This video is as ridiculous as the thread starter is for even finding any merit in posting this.
  18. Pretty sure Romney wanted to give bigger weapons to the rebels than Obama has. This isn't a liberal vs conservative thing . . . they're both in on it.
  19. Let's see . . . - The rebels are aligned with Al-Qaeda - They've been caught killing citizens, Christians, etc. and they trying to blame Assad. - They've been caught faking deaths and injuries and then blaming Assad. - There is video of some rebels in possession of chemical weapons. - The last supposed chemical attack is believed to have been the work of the rebels . . . hence no action against Assad. - Multiple weapons experts have testified on FoxNews and other news outlets that they are suspicious of any chemicals actually having been used and question why Assad would use chemical weapons as inspectors are entering the country and while he's winning. - Shortly before the alleged attacks, 300 CIA trained rebels entered the exact location of the supposed attack. - The West has been itching for any reason to attack Assad, especially considering they were using Benghazi to transfer weapons to Syria. - The West has a history of false flag attacks and aiding those they want in power. The CIA a few days finally recognized they orchestrated the 1953 Iranian coup. So tell me, why does anyone believe this is the work of Assad?
  20. AsiaCell price has been pretty stagnant since the IPO; not trading much below or above the IPO price of 22 IQD. I'm thinking that the introduction of Zain will lower the price of AsiaCell several points, at least temporarily. I'm thinking of selling my AsiaCell holdings before the Zain IPO, especially since I already benefited from the awesome 200% dividend. What do ya'll think?
