Met my Chilean wife 27 years ago and she spoke about a dozen words in english. Now she speaks good english and pays all the bills. My German grandparents were forced to learn english. Nowadays it is so easy for immigrants. Yesterday I stopped for a sandwich at lunchtime in Long Beach Calif in Cambodia town. They have pamphelts in Cambodian. Obamacare pamphlets in Cambodian. Covered California Obamacare is in 150 languages ? 150 languages ? Whatever happened to English ? Raise taxes to pay for this. Lazy immigrants don't want to go to night school and take ESL classes. 1/4 of the way through Part 1 of 3. This book is a difficult book to read. I was never interested in school much being a So Cal Surfer. Barely got through high school. Never had any interest in college and went to Jr College for 2 weeks then dropped out. You can't surf every day wasting time in school. Surfed at least 5 days a week if not 7 from 1971 to 1984. Work on VWs for 8 years then became a industrial/commercial electrician for 25 years now 11 years working at the Port of Los Angeles. The last 6 years when not working have become obsessed with READING and LEARNING on the internet but love to read books. Bought a used set of this 3 part book.
