Well said. Personally, I'm not inferring anything about this other than he has apparently seen something that makes him think he can make money. Nothing wrong with capitalism. He could be speculating about buybacks from disgruntled investors, he may be speculating on something happening in the near future in regards to the exchange rate, or, he may have resolved whatever issues he may have had reportedly had with officials. Hard to tell.

I think sometimes we need to read between the lines with the Gurus. It's like trying to translate some of the articles out of Iraq. You know, "soon", "in the coming days", "raise". etc. With the Gurus, I think when they hear from their "sources" it just means thier "dealers". I say this because I think they must be getting their wacky tabbacky from their "sources" right before they post.

Personally, I love reading the Okie posts. It has been said that humor and laughter is good for the soul. Thank you to all who keep bringing his posts. They keep me laughing. I'm sorry if it upsets or raises blood pressures of other members. I just enjoy reading his constant yarns about the RV. Every post he further discredits himself and loses at least another follower (I hope). I know that isn't being very charitable, but I like to look at the positive outcome of his inconsistent, no source, nonsensical posts.

Great point. It does seem odd, if their end game is to draw more of the high notes in. To me, this tells me, "Hang on to your Dinar! It's going to increase in value!". I've been of the thought they were trying to get folks to take actions that would bring the high notes back into the CBI treasury.

If the rain lets up in my part of the world I'm going to expose my RV this weekend. Check the oil, charge the batteries, re-stock iat, etc. May even just sit in it with a few brews or drinks with my wife and have our own RV party.

I don't remember a specific article about this, but I do remember a variety of discussions and opinions over the years about time frames. If my memory serves me correctly, and it probably doesn't, a lot of the time frames were based on transactions and events in other countries. I don't know that we can apply what happened in other countries in other circumstances to this investment. What I gleaned from most of those posts was that each individual time frame was different based upon a variety of factors, such as the USD eliminating high numeric bills.

I'm not a huge fan of Maliki's by any means. However, I wouldn't want his job for anything in the world. Iraq is attempting to start anew and everything, including their own populace, leaders, opinions, power struggles, factions, long harbored fears, distrust, and paranoia are against him. I truly don't think it matters if it is him or someone else. It will be years, it ever, before there is any kind of stability in that country imo. I think we will watch the same thing starting to occur in the "Arab Spring" countries. Everyone wants things "their way". The fact that Maliki has been able to facilitate anything there is amazing to me. Does he really have the best interest of all Iraqis at heart or is he just posturing to hold power? I don't know what his motivations really are. I just hope that for the Iraqi populace and the good of the country that Iraq can stand the growing pains and continue to rebuild itself and behave like a good neighbor in the world community. This would be the most beneficial outcome for the country and the people of Iraq imo. Of course, on a selfish note, it wouldn't hurt the value of their currency either. You said "dictator". Wall Street Journal also had a pretty good article today on the Summit. Nothing discussed about finances or monetary policy, but still a pretty upbeat article about the Iraq transformation.
