Police need to be trained to understand citizens do sometimes foolish and unexpected things when confronted with a police officer. There is not always a textbook response when suddenly you are placed in a stressful situation. I have seen (I am not nor have I ever been a Peace Officer) a fellow who was stoped for speeding act like a fleeing felon because his insurance had lapsed. I have two State Troopers in my family and have asked them if they have had received training like that and they both said yes, but that is not the norm for most even larger City Patrol Officers. The Academy seems to not place it as a high priority training requirment. It is indeed sad that something like this has happened. Two lives brought to nothing for nothing more than what appears to have been a simple misunderstanding. Sad indeed.

The way I see it, is they want the Government out of the Oil Fields. Seems they want the new HCL to establish that. That would make sense. As long as the Government is in charge of all the money (oil) there is going to be corruption and deserving sectors will not receive their share.
