  1. I dont know why the anticipation is got people going out of their minds; I guess it proves why investing is not for everyone. People just don't have the stomach for it. Do your due diligence and be patient enough to watch and see if your goal sees its way through. This is the only thing I found on Article 40 of the Iraqi Constitution and it says nothing about a revaluation. This thing will happen when it happen, don't drive yourselfs into a comma because of someones rumor without reference (proof). Chapter IV - Institutions of the Iraqi Republic [edit] Section I. The Revolutionary Command Council Article 37 [supreme Institution] The Revolutionary Command Council is the supreme institution in the State, which on 17 July 1968, assumed the responsibility to realize the public will of the people, by removing the authority from the reactionary, individual, and corruptive regime, and returning it to the people. Article 38 [Competencies] The Revolutionary Command Council exercises the following competencies by a twothird majority of its members: (a) Electing a President from its members, called President of the Revolutionary Council, who is President of the Republic. ( Electing a Vice-President from its members, called Vice-President of the Revolutionary Command Council, who replaces the President, as qualified in the preceding paragraph, in case of his official absence or in case of the impossibility of exercising his constitutional competencies or any legitimate reason. © Selecting new members for the Council, from members of the Regional Leadership of the Socialist Arab Ba'ath Party, not to exceed twelve members. (d) Taking a decision concerning the resignation of the President, and Vice-President or any of the Council's members. (e) Relieving any member of the Council's membership. (f) Accusing and prosecuting members of the Revolutionary Command Council, Vice- Presidents, and Ministers. Article 39 [Oath] The President of the Revolutionary Command Council, the Vice-President and the members take the following oath before the Council: "I swear by Allah almighty, by my honor and by my faith to preserve the Republican system, to commit myself to its Constitution and laws, to look after the independence of the Country, its security and territorial integrity and to do my best earnestly and sincerely to realize the objectives of the Arab Nation for Unity, Freedom and Socialism." Article 40 [immunity] The President of the Revolutionary Command Council, the Vice-President, and the members enjoy full immunity. No measures can be taken against any of them without a priori permission of the Council. Article 41 (a) The President, the Vice-President, or one third of the members can call a meeting of the Revolutionary Command Council. Meetings held are presided by the President or the Vice-President and are attended by the majority of the members. ( Meetings and debates of the Revolutionary Command Council are closed. Disclosing it, invokes constitutional responsibility before the Council. Decisions of the Council are declared, published and communicated by the means specified in this Constitution. © Laws and decisions are ratified in the Council by the majority of its members, except otherwise stipulated by the Cons http://policy.mofcom.gov.cn/en/flaw!fetch.html?libcode=flaw&id=2c224da9-da74-495e-a7b8-82d9ba1e82cc
  2. Hey bud, my humble advice to you is don't count on rumors. We all want it to happen ASAP, however it is out of our hands. IMO, when it actually happens it will not be a rumor. Here is something to think about, when the Chinese Yuan revalued, even though it was not much, it still hit the world news and we all heard about it. The same thing will happen with iraq. Especially with the type of attention iraq has. So, lets be patient and look for the factual announcement of an RV not these rumors (and I dont know about you) but I have been hearing for the past 5 years. Based on verifiable facts, I believe we are all on a concensus that the end is near however rumors or anticipation will not rush its occurrance. God Bless everyone. Stunner
  3. Geeeez, no need to insult others. I know where he is coming from and it's not something he made up. If you research the iraqi ministery of planning site it talks about the actual rate of the dinar being 3.208 dollars per dinar and to stimulate the non oil economy their strategy is to adjust the rate to 1.134 dollars to dinar for 3 years and allow "the competent authorities to improve it's value". So based on that fact written on their site I would vest to say it would come out between 1.134 and 3.208. Now, can it go higher? Certainly but the extra is a plus. Logically and realistically I would expect a rate between 1.13 and 3.21. Were all in this together, and we all want this to take place as soon as possible but we should not be bashing one another. 5.25 to 12 would be nice and while Iraq is worth enough to support such a number we know they want to stimulate investments in their country which is why they wanted to introduce 1.134 so those high rates would be nice but we know the that 1.13 to 3.208 is a written fact. God Bless all and may we see the RV ASAP.
  4. Too bad we don't hear of it if thats the case, and he would go often to collect rent don't ya think. Just so you know, I didn't make any promises in my post, it might mean nothing and it could mean everything; remember that.
  5. http://www.habibtoumi.com/2010/10/12/george-w-bush-in-kuwait-on-wednesday/ Above is the link to the article. He really is there and might not be a coincidence either. I am starting to feel that something really is happening. The televised interview with the Central Bank of Iraq I'm sure will reveal a lot, however I feel like between now and Dec 2010 we definitely will see something take place with our investments. For the Veterans like myself who have held this investment for 5 more years it definitely was worth it. For all the newbies, congratulations on such a short term gain. Buckle your seat belts everyone, this Flight is ready for take off and VFR direct because we have nothing but clear skies. God bless Stunner, Out
  6. Here is how I understand it: First off, this article was translated and whenever you try and translate using one of these programs it translates words not what it is saying. These are machine languages not human languages. So thats where the confusion for as of tomorrow may come in, its translating a word not the entire sentence. Find an Arab speaking person to translate, maybe ALI from Dinartrade. A lot of positive things are happening, and according to this article it sounds like the basic understanding is that they are making an announcement regarding the currency between Friday and Sunday this week. The topic is Deletion of the three zero's however the puzzle is this: 1st does nominal value mean that they are deleting zeros from the notes and not the actual value? (ex. will an iraqi be exchanging their one 25,000dinar note for 25,000 in smaller notes?) Should we optimistically say they are doing this for ease of cash transactions in-country and allow us to be able to turn our 1000 dollar investment into approximately a million dollars? i guess I am confused with nominal value because the www.XE.com article of this same subject last year also read the actual value will not be affected but the nominal value will. Please clarify if your a guru on this stuff. I am with everyone and have held my investment for 5 years exactly so far. I am prepared for whatever may happen and I do enjoy piecing the pieces together for this thing. If we can answer those questions than I think alot of people will rest easy. Thanks and God Bless. GO RV Rich
  7. Google ministery of planning website and on that page in the search window type in dinar and read what it says. If your unable to it says the following and this is what makes worth saying it will revalue between 1.134 and 3.208 dollars to 1 dinar. :http://www.mop.gov.iq/mop/index.jsp?sid=1&id=308&pid=295&lng=en
  8. I don't normally post, I enjoying reading all the back n forth BS people come up with. To answer your concern, the government needs to be in place because chapter 7 is probably the biggest hold up. Once the GOI is in place, they can then sign off on the agreements with the Kuwaiti files, WMDs, and Oil for food. This will essentially unleash them to increase their revenues and profit from their resources. They will have no choice but to increase the buying power of the dinar. I am not into the whole predict a rate phsyc but it makes sense for them to come out at a lower rate and grow their economic presence within the next 3 to 5 years. In VP Biden's interview, he stated that by 2013 Iraq will have a surplus. Google Biden on the future of Iraq or even YouTube it. My advice is to be patient and for all of you rate predicters, just remember that even if they revalue at a penny or a dime, you will have made profit that you don't normally make in other monetary trades.
  9. http://www.zawya.com/Story.cfm/sidZW20100315000097/Iraq%20Ctrl%20Bank%20Plans%20To%20Rebase%20Dinar%3B%20No%20Time%20Fixed%20Yet Oooops, I almost forgot to post the link to the article I read. VR, Stunner
  10. From what I have been reading does this not mean that there will be a LOP beccause examples of re-base currency is Turkey which LOPPed six zeros. I am enthusiastic about this but someone is going to have to translate this re-base to me...and your article above specifically reads "The 'NEW' dinar will be worth 1000 times the old one (25K that we have)." Please explain I went to a public school. VR, Stunner
