Lieberman claimed in an Armed Services committee on Capitol Hill that he had it from good "Iraqi sources" that Maliki had only temporarily stopped negotiations on US military trainers just to claim a political victory on the end of the past SOFA.He further claimed that Maliki was up to reinvite US troops at a later date. Sometimes I wish I could learn Arabic really fast.

Maliki is Iran's man the same way Allawi is the Gulf Arab's man. This is Iraqi politics after all.........

Are these US military trainers or are they American civilian contractors? The Arabish here wasn't that clear to me.
