  1. THANKS , for the words of wisdom, however if I bailed now I could get a pretty nice hot tub out of the deal
  2. Well, as near as I can tell on testing, they d@mn sure didn't test it when it went D O W N
  3. ....And you live in Glascow Scotland, thanks for the encouraging words....exactly why I dont post often. I'm guessing I told everyone that I have invested $1166usd and could cash out around $800usd if you want to be technical. I'm sure that we will not be registered in the FORTUNE 500 magazine if we ever RV, but if we are I'll be in there too. Get a grip.....apparently frustrated in the USA today
  4. I would probably cash in a $25k note, which would replenish my investment and handle the tax on the transaction, and then go stand next to kjwayne at the train station, go team.
  5. dontlop, sounds about right to me, personally, I'm hoping he is NOT familiar with where Lehman Bro is going, I have many preferred series in my "escrowed" coffers Geitner certainly did me no favors with them or wamu
  6. dontlop, dont misunderstand me, I havent said he was good for OUR country, just possibly good timing for our "investment" if you will, dirty hands get alot of things done unfortunately, IMO.
  7. Thanks SgtFury, much respect held for you here. To everyone, simply my point was that he/Jack was named Sec of Treasury today, nothing more. I'm sure there is a PR somewhere else, just grabbed Reuters at the time.
  8. Actually I was waiting on somebody to bust my peanuts on that one fib1618....
  9. Sorry, I didnt know Rueters was a non-reputable site....http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/02/28/us-usa-treasury-lew-idUSBRE91R15H20130228
  10. It appears to me that he was the "spearhead" or "go to" guy during the Kuwait RV? I'm not sure Citi group misses him though ...new sec of ust.
  11. WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, I have not been here a long time, but with the Gurus out of control, this is only a 5th-day member post member, don't bet the house on it, IMO.
  12. HMM, we are going to Vegas this weekend to see George Strait and watch the Superbowl Sunday (go MICHAEL OEHR!!)....BETTER LOAD UP SOME DINAR AND TAKE IT WITH US !! Our son (16 mos old) watches Blindside twice a day and hates cartoons, thinking he might have a thing for Sandra Bullock, his mother is in denial, she just thinks he likes football....GO TEAM :rolleyes:/>/>
  13. I live in MO, but commute to Northwest AR everyday, lived in AR 20 yrs before we moved 3 yrs ago. We used safedinar.com, but remember we live in MO, but could not imagine they couldnt ship to you here(AR) as well, you might try safedinar, had to be present for delivery from Fedex, with a cashiers check and photo ID if I recall right, good luck.
  14. Well, with all due respect, I think it will be after the fiscal cliff, the US doesn't care about the gain on the trillions of dinar they have in vaults. Those dinar are to be sold to us. They want the taxes on our gains not the gain on their dinar. Who knows, everyone has their own ideas, "just do it"!
  15. WELL, I guess that's why GAS prices are climbing and will continue into the summer, Go RV so I can fill my tank
  16. Then we have neighboring Kuwait at $3.60, I'm just curious how does Iran survive at a tenth of what Iraq's currency is worth in today's market. We keep saying that Iraq has to RV in order to be able to trade with other Nations/Countries, but do they, or is OIL enough?.....Just confused on how soon this really has to happen, thx Curtis.
  17. Actually a question, why, if I use a conversion calculator, is Iran's currency worth a 10th of what Iraq's is currently? If I were to purchase Iran's currency at the ratio of Iraq's it shows to be worth $86 if I had $1000000 worth of IRR(Iran's currency). Is Iran' currency actually worth less then Iraq's(it appears to be worth a tenth of what Iraq's is), that makes NO since to me, are they more "depressed" then Iraq?
  18. Always nice to see some validity in "their" news paper.......Iraq approves $100.5b budget for 2012 24/02/2012 09:09 BAGHDAD, Feb.24 (AKnews)- Iraqi House of Representatives finalized the budget bill at $100.5 billion and a deficit of $12.6b, yesterday evening, following months of delay due to political disputes. The budget is up from last year's $82.6b, which was based on an oil price of $76.50 per barrel and 2.2m barrels per day in crude exports. While this year it is based on an average oil price of $85 per barrel and 2.6m bpd in exports. Some $31.7 billion is allocated for investment projects and the reminder goes to covering salaries and food ration items. The projected deficit will be covered by a surplus in the Development Fund of Iraq (DFI) account at the New York Federal Reserve. The budget also allocated 17 trillion dinars ($14.6 billion) to the country's security forces. Iraq, which has the fourth-biggest oil reserves in the world, aims to boost its oil production capacity to 8-8.5 million bpd by 2017, to become one of the top world oil producers. 19. So much for seriousness, if Gurus have 24.894 members and we avg a million each, and we use low numbers($.86-$1.17, avg again $1), this would infuse $2,489,000,000($2.5 billion USD) in the economy, correct? It sounds like alot of money, but is is? What is this going to do to the stock market, silly question, but surely there would be a spike in something that we are not thinking of? Just trying to have a "millionaire" mind, ...still, Curtis.
  20. So, if we are are investors, what stock would be in demand after RV? What will "spike" in value in the market after RV? I'm sure some of you have asked this question previously, but I would love to know where to put some money pre-RV if anyone has already thought about this. Invest wisely if we have "millionaire" minds, TIA(thx in advance), Curtis
  21. PUMPING, really? Actually quite the opposite of trying to tell "everyone" to run out and buy buy buy, the banks are open on a holiday!! How is telling the public that a particular bank has been open for the past 4 yrs on Presidents day pumping? Besides, I'm not sure what I might get by telling/pumping someone to run out and buy a "bunch" of IQD? The value is what the value is in my portfolio, whether or not another person buys a single note ever again does not effect me, IMO....(slightly offended, but yet thick skinned enough to state the facts)....Learning quick here to NOT try and defuse a previous post that contains ridiculous accusations of why the RV might happen at any moment. Everyone have a great day and a better tomorrow, Curtis.
  22. Sry, they have been open on presidents day since 2009....http://www.jdnews.com/articles/day-88060-open-banks.html
  23. My point simply is they have been open since 2009 on Presidents Day, so either they have been waiting 3 yrs like some of us or they are just OPEN....Wachovia observed 10 holidays, and Wells Fargo observed six. A schedule of eight common holidays was adopted July 1, 2009. The new Wells Fargo holiday schedule added Veterans Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day but does not observe Presidents Day. http://www.jdnews.com/articles/day-88060-open-banks.html
  24. Goodness, sorry for confusion in my post, Curtis......http://dinarvets.com/forums/index.php?/topic/105807-open-2011wells-fargo/page__pid__858171__st__0entry858171.......since 2009 actually....Wachovia observed 10 holidays, and Wells Fargo observed six. A schedule of eight common holidays was adopted July 1, 2009. The new Wells Fargo holiday schedule added Veterans Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day but does not observe Presidents Day. http://www.jdnews.com/articles/day-88060-open-banks.html
