Most welcome doublek52. Apologies for the late response. No I didn't attach drivers license or any other additional documentation with my request for password change.. I know some that do though. Most Welcome ronscarpa.

It took 3 emails over a 2 week period but did get password reset & account access restored.. . Sent email to Mohammed Issa. email address: ifrd@warka-bank-iq.com & e-bank@warka-bank-iq-com. Only a brief message stating that my password has expired & requesting a reset password... I also included my account number & that was all.. Just keep sending & always being courteous...

Fyi, I just received a reply from Mr. Issa with new password. It took about a week but am back in & the account looks fine with Interest added, etc....

Fyi everyone- I just received an email response from Mr. Issa(email him earlier today).. All is well with Warka & our accounts.. He said that the systems folks are updating the Core banking systems over the weekend & all accounts will be restored accordingly once that is complete... He also said that they would post a bulletin on their website letting folks know what's going on... I hope that makes a few folks sleep better tonight.... Carpediem

Many Thanks TrinityeXchange. Totally appreciate all of your Commentary... I was quite certain that was the case.. Based upon your dialogue with Aljazera, it doesn't sound like we're anywhere close to seeing index funds available.... Oh well perhaps once we hit the Forex that could change.. In the mean time, I guess one could create one's own index by hand picking the largest 4 or 5 stocks in a sector & going that route....... Ok one more question- So, what is the alleged problem(s) or issues with Warka & any type of regulatory or misappropriation(as someone posted) of funds.. As I inch ever closer to solving my wire transfer issues to warka, I'm now a slight bit skiddish about sending my $$$$... any insight? thanks Carpediem

Great suggestion & I wish that were the case...Unfortunately I'd given her the swift code just prior to her asking for the iban.. I'd even asked that same question.. I'll have to see if warka comes back with anything else &/or try again tomorrow & perhaps catch someone else to talk to or get a supervisor on the line... dont want it to be too easy...

Unfortunately I just got off the phone with the Bank(tried calling this time hoping to get a different person).. spoke to the same girl & told her I've reconfirmed the iban# with the other party & that it was 4008xxx. To no avail.. She said the system is rejecting it & says that in the 4 years she's been handling wire transfers the iban Always starts with letters....& that they must have the proper Iban to wire to all European countries.... Not sure where to go from here other than having already just emailed Warka to see if they can provide another #.... I guess I can try the citibank route as well....hmm. Oh well....to be continued.

Question regarding IBAN#: Can anyone confirm having successfully used the Acct# that begins with 4008 as the IBAN#? Just tried to wire my funds to Commerzbank in Germany & the wire lady told me that they had to have the "IBAN" in order to proceed. I actually tried to give her the 4008 # & she insisted that was not it.... Any Help? Thanks.. Carpediem

Fyi, for anyone who hasn't already found this site- isxwatch.com is Free & comprehensive resource for familiarizing yourself & following the various companies & sectors of the ISX... even includes for example, a 2011 Annual ISX Report full of information....
