State Of Law Confirms That Iraq Is Unable To Distribute With The US Dollar
Policy 2023/07/20 Number of readings: 216 Baghdad - Iraq today: The Deputy of the State of Law Coalition, Hussein Al-Battat, affirmed that Iraq is not a great economic power and cannot dispense with the dollar in its dealings in order to bypass US sanctions and its decisions in this regard.
Al-Battat said in a press statement, "The independence of the financial decision of Iraq and any other country is linked to the government's decisions and its courage in implementing them in addition to international support," noting that "America, through its power, imposes its influence on the international community in implementing its economic policies.
He added, "Iraq is not a great economic power and cannot dispense with the dollar in its economic dealings with countries, and therefore America's decisions regarding the sanctions it imposes on countries and so on are difficult to pass."
He explained, "When the country becomes a major economic power, it can bypass some interventions that are not consistent with its policies and aspirations in establishing balanced economic relations with all countries."
He pointed out, "Some countries, such as Russia and China, have been able to bypass the American influence on their economy and dealings, being an economic power that has an alternative." LINK

I rec'd an email from a wealth mgr at my local bank It is not a big four bank and she asked me to check in. I have been unable to reach her. Phone busy but spoke with another vp at same bank and was told to hang tight. Said that dinar at $0.91 and they expected to see it at $1.2 by Tuesday. My cousin said… the project to delete the zeros law was passed in late November
12-11-12 OCRUSH: I want to share with everyone some great news! I found out from my cousin who works for ABB (LONDON BASED) that the project to delete the zeros law has passed in late Nov.
The reason we don’t see it was attached to a law under the ministry of education. It passed the council of ministers and was sent to the house of rep which passed. Now the framework of this bill is attached with the UN and is managed under the ministry of finance.
In a few days we should see an article (hopefully) a joint venture with the UN and ministry of education on their education system of Iraq to progress there school for all to students of Iraq to be educated. This will be paid and approved by the ministry of finance.
For this project to be successful my cousin said they need to reform there monetary policies. You will also see articles (hopefully) where the UN, World Bank and CBI hold meetings. They might cover these meetings or say for other reasons but don’t be fooled.
The ministry of planning is also moving ahead nicely they just need to satisfy the UN delegation and World Bank that the laws will be passed. You know me. I like facts but my cousin is very conservative and he won’t say something that is not true.
He is extremely busy and flies to Iraq twice a month. All is well, say hello to my second family and I will update. Let’s not forget the 17th is only a week away!!!

11-17-12 Tlar: I respectfully disagree that there will be a low float starting anywhere near 1166 to 1 USD, up to 10 to 1 USD. Most of the articles being presented today under the new bank governor and others involved in this process are back to mentioning "the removal of the zeros". To me this means exactly what they say.
Removing the zeros off the nominal rate means going from .00086 to .86 per US dollar. Removing the zeros to me does not imply a gradual raise over a period of time. Although this is still not known for sure, Shabbs only made reference to starting low and letting it go up from there which might be all and in itself the reason Maliki went after him. ******************

11-14-12 Breitling: The people that came up with the LOP theory don't know about money, they are not investors. Today's rate is completely false. They are keeping the value of the dinar down artificially.
From day one these guys with the LOP theory were wrong, it was invented. Iraq would not do that to their country, mess up their economy. Does this guarantee that they won't throw us a curve ball? No. ***********
I don't know when they will revalue or restructure their currency. They really can do it today. But, you have to look at what is going on over there with power, the CBI, etc. Maliki has the advantage, but we still don't know. Things are going good in Iraq. I am still very motivated, I am still watching it everyday, it really could, any day. **************

11-8-2012 Intel/Newshound Guru Poppy3: I talked to the International Banker about the Vietnam Dong & they want to do the revaluation, they are being pushed to do the revaluation by China, but if they wait until the dinar goes, they can go at a higher rate, which is in our favor. They will wait as long as they can & not let inflation get too high. They have gotten permission from the IMF to go on their own if they want to.
On the dinar front, things are moving forward. I am excited about the possibilities going on there. There is a lot if misinformation out there but nobody is in charge of Iraq but Iraq. It's going to stay that way until they get ready & in alignment. In January the lower denoms will be distributed & they have no need to put those out unless we have a revaluation prior to that. I am highly confident in this investment. We are still in great shape, I'm still excited about this happening & I think it's going to happen sooner rather than later. So hold on to your hats.
11-8-12 Mountainman: Yet another article this morning about lifting Iraq's Chapter 7 sanctions. The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister said that this year will mark the end of the outstanding problems with Iraq. If this isn't a clear sign of progress, I don't know what is. We've seen complete international support for their Chp7 removal (UN, Russia, US, China, Kuwait etc.). It kinda makes you wonder what could be the holdup. A tradeable currency perhaps? I wouldn't doubt for a second that these sanctions remain held over Iraq's head for that reason alone at this stage.

The United Nations, U.S., Tony Blair, Fox News etc., all reporting that Iraq's economy is thriving and they are also being praised for their efforts with Kuwait and should be released from Chapter 7 very soon. Kuwait is investing their new reparations back into Iraq, what's that tell you? This is not the first time either, they did the same thing last year. Even the country Iraq invaded knows they are a good investment, the whole world does and is putting their money where their mouth is. Iraq has been put on the fast track to recovery and despite the fight for control over their Central Bank they have stronger international support than ever before. THEY NEED TO GET RID OF MALIKI
10-25-2012 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG: I am as of today more confident in this investment then I have ever been at any time, not because I am less informed, but because I am more informed. Maliki took over the CBI, then he tried to have Shabibi arrested, the Supreme Court Judiciary wouldn't. So then he had him removed temporarily. Now he is saying he has 4 candidates lined up. None of this is going to happen. The IMF put Shabibi in, they are not going to turn monetary policy over to Maliki, especially while Iraq is still under chapter 7. All of this going on is why they will not get out of Chapter 7, while he is in charge. Maliki wanted his hands on the reserves and he wanted a greatly revalued currency and economy and they have already tried to do that & the IMF pretty much hung up on them. He wants control over the economy and wants the power and this to me means that this is a very real situation because there is such a struggle over the money. I made a phone call to the Bank of International Settlements in Switzerland this morning and wanted to share the conversation with you. I called and asked to speak with Mr. Jaime Caruana who is the General Manager of the BIS and was transferred to his office. His assistant answered the phone and told me he was in meetings all day and asked if she could help me. I told her "I was an ordinary citizen of the USA and that I had a question about Iraq'a CBI. That I had worked hard all my life and invested my savings into the emerging ecomony of Iraq. Due to the recent developements with the CBI and Dr. Shabibi I was concerned about my investment and could she speak to me about the situation". Up to this point in the conversation things were cheerful and cordial but as soon as I asked the question I could tell her guard went up immediately. Her exact words were " I am prohibited from making a statement about that at this time". I thanked her for her time.
My impression was that the BIS is all too aware of the situation, as they should be. In my opinion there is much, much more going on then meets the eye and I feel confident that the international community is all over this situation with Iraq in general and with the Central Bank. Keep the faith !

7-25-2012 Kaperoni: Let’s look a bit closer on where the dinar will go post RV. Can Iraq collect it and pay for it? I don’t think that this is the plan. The Dinar will not he bought or sold overseas. The CBI will be the Central Bank for the dinar handling the monetary policy. And once they RV, the dinar will become an international reserve currency (as the dinar you and I own is collected and held). When will it become a foreign reserve currency? The answer is clear. That once they “delete 3 zeros” that will start the process (collection) to create the foreign reserves “they aspire to be part of.” As well we see they want to “give power” to the Iraqi currency internationally. 7-25-2012 Milndollarbabe: My feeling is that if he feels confident that there is a true power sharing and its been signed off and acknowledged by all parties involved. I would think that should satisfy his requirement of a completed and seated government. They have agreements with other countries that have reduced the debts and the ICI (international compact of iraq) that countries have pledged monies to help with the rebuilding and restructuring. These pledges didnt come because they liked Iraq. They are expecting something in return. Also, think about this the donor countries of the ICI have most likely had to cut back on their restructuring funds to help because of the global economic crisis. So in this respect, Iraq most likely isnt getting all the help that they had initially counted on. A RV would help them in this respect to continue to update their structures and rebuild their country from a purely rebuilding aspect. Iraq has spent the last 10 years getting countries to relieve all the debts or most of them and also getting help to rebuild/reconstruct. They are in a great position because of this outside help. Two biggies happened in the last couple of days. Al-Mutlag is being welcomed back and the trial of Al-Hashemi got put off till next month. Both political “hot buttons” over there. Especially since they were “racist” persecution in nature (sectarian is the “politically correct” verbiage). The Central Bank of Iraq announced, today, Thursday, that it had taken "two urgent decisions" to enhance the ability of the Iraqi dinar in front of foreign currencies to circulate within the country.
And the Central Bank media stated in a statement received by {Euphrates News} that "the collection of all cash insurances shall be in the dinar currency exclusively with regard to internal credits, bank guarantees, and letters of guarantee issued in favor of the beneficiaries (governmental and private), even if they are in the dollar currency and at the official exchange rate."
He added, "It was decided that the payment of the sums of the letters of guarantee upon confiscation be exclusively in the Iraqi dinar and at the official exchange rate."
The Iraqi Central Bank called, according to the statement, "all licensed banks to take the necessary measures in accordance with the above."
Clare: Iraq cuts diplomatic relations with Sweden

The Iraqi government decided, on Thursday, to withdraw its Chargé d'Affaires in Stockholm, and expel the Swedish ambassador from the country's lands, in protest against allowing a demonstration in which the Qur'an was torn and burned for the second time.
The government spokesman, Basem Al-Awadi, said in a statement today that the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to withdraw the Iraqi Chargé d'Affairs from the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the Swedish capital, Stockholm.
He also directed a request from the Swedish ambassador in Baghdad to leave Iraqi territory, in response to the repeated permission of the Swedish government to burn the Noble Qur’an, insult Islamic sanctities and burn the Iraqi flag, according to Al-Awadi. LINK

The Swedish embassy in Baghdad was set on fire at dawn, Thursday, during a demonstration organized by supporters of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, on the eve of a gathering in Sweden in front of the Iraqi embassy whose organization intends to burn a copy of the Quran.
The attack on the Swedish embassy in Baghdad came after the Swedish police allowed the organization of a small gathering in front of the Iraqi embassy in Stockholm, where the organizer intends to burn a copy of the Koran and the Iraqi flag on Thursday.
For its part, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in a statement "in the strongest terms" the burning of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in Baghdad, calling for the launch of an "urgent investigation" into the incident.
The statement stated that "the Iraqi government instructed the competent security authorities to conduct an urgent investigation and take the necessary security measures with the aim of uncovering the circumstances of the incident and identifying the perpetrators of this act and holding them accountable according to the law."
And Silwan Momica, who wants to burn the Qur’an in Sweden today, Thursday, is an Iraqi refugee there, and on June 28 he also burned pages of a copy of the Qur’an in front of the largest mosque in Stockholm on Eid al-Adha.
In response to the storming of its embassy, the Swedish Foreign Ministry said: We condemn all attacks on diplomats and staff of international organizations. All employees of our embassy in Baghdad are safe and the ministry is in regular contact with them.
She added that the attacks on embassies and diplomats constitute a serious violation of the Vienna Convention, and the Iraqi authorities bear the responsibility to protect diplomatic missions and their personnel. LINK
