Pappy, I couldn't agree with you more on a lot of this post. I don't have a problem with difference of opinion and political differences. I think it's what makes us great. What I don't like is the way some people on here take things to a whole new scary and ridiculous level of division, hatred, paranoia and vitriol.....and that's when I decide to chime in and point out how disgusting and ridiculous they are. I don't like being told that my Christianity is not as good as someone else's. I think when people do that it shows just how unchristian like they actually are. Some people on here need to have an enemy and something to worry about all the time. I don't live my life that way. Merry Christmas! You can't point to articles and youtube videos from people with no credibility and just assume they are real and that it is true. There is no debating when one side is just completely wacked out. I don't need to defend myself to you. I never see you speak up when our president is accused of wanted to kill everyone and is working with satan or whatever else. I never see you speak up when TPS is called all kinds of nasty things just for disagreeing with some of these same people. I've stated before that most of my posts are somewhat sarcastic. I don't proclaim to be perfect and know everything. Do you see the topics that I usually respond to? It's the topics that are started by the usual suspects on here that just throw out all kinds of outlandish crap. It's either bashing the president for wanting to kill most of the population or for having sex with men or for "fema death camps".....it's all ridiculous stuff. None of these people will accept anything from a major news source. The only stuff that they believe is conspiracy weblogs and youtube videos. There is no debating because everyone has made up their mind especially if you have gone to such extremes as to only believe this kind of stuff. I'm not a democrat or a republican but I don't buy into all these outlandish things. I'm a Christian and have a nice family that I love very much. The guilt by association term has been used before by these guys to say that just because you defend Obama then you must be one of those "evil" ones and you are just as guilty as them blah blah blah. Try asking some of these people to see another person as God and see if it changes what they write? Heck, tell them to think about how President Obama is a family man with a wife and kids and is just living his life like anyone else. You may not agree with his politics (which I don't agree with everything he does) but it doesn't mean you have to make the guy out to be such an evil person and make up all kinds of hateful meanspirited things. Bottom line is that if there are going to be topics that are crazy then I'm going to make fun of them and point out how crazy they are. Sorry if all my responses aren't up to your standards. It's not really worth an intellectual battle when there is no intellect on the other side. We are talking about a group of people that thinks that President Obama is trying to kill 90% of the population at any minute. All the "news" and "facts" that they have is from youtube or some wacky site. You can't counter any of it with real news sources because they think it's all made up. Ron Paul's biggest liability might just end up being his followers! We've all seen some of the things that his supporters say and write. I don't think Ron Paul believes most of the crazy conspiracy stuff that his followers believe but it's guilt by association....

I fully support Israel however I agree that we don't need to be spending so much on Israel anymore as they can defend themselves. However Benjamin Netanyahu does not agree with any of that. He is one of those hardliners that thinks that can be provocative because America will come to their aid if necessary. And he doesn't want to see the funds stop coming either.
