[For those that say there's little chance of an RV]

I don't disagree that there will be an rv however I do not think rv will make anybody rich you will essentially have the same amount of money just smaller iraqi denar bills. that is not to say money won't be made. an rv is a good sign and it will cause the value rise slowly and steadily but you will not make for 1,000,000 dollars off your 1000 dollar investment overnight. Foe metals I really like copper. I'm holding it decent amount of copper bars. I also however built a machine that separates copper pennies from the new zinc pennies I normally pick up 1 or 2 $25 dollar boxes per week. sort them in return the zincs to a bank.

yes I know there is a melt down on coins and this idea may sound crazy however I'm sure it was a crazy idea back in the 60s and 70s when people were pulling silver coins. Silver prices were pretty low back then.

as for currencies I like the vietnam dong, singapore dollar, new zealand dollar and maybe south korea won

I already fell into the trap and bought some of this crap about a year ago.... Don't buy into the hype.

I'm sitting on 20 million bought from several different vendors. Way over paid on a few until I figured out the best prices and stuff. It's not a bad investment, not any worse than the iraqi dinar like all things do it in moderation, dont spend money you cant afford to lose, etc.

These smaller asian countries rates and things tend to loosely follow china and japan. If china is ever actually labeled a currency manipulator and is forced to revalue tehir currency Dongs could move with it.

[I Don't Believe I Will Be A Millionaire Overnight]

Okay so I anticipate being called an idiot and attacked for this post but it's just my thinking. I belive in the Iraqi Dinar. I have been holding since very shortly after it was issued so a LONG time. I still believe in it and think a pretty profit can be made, however I don't have any expectations of a revalue making me rich overnight.

I recently tried to trade in some Mexican Pesos I've had sitting around for years. I went to a currency exchange and was told mine were the old pesos, 1996 and newer pesos are a different currency essentially. It takes 1000 of the old pesos to make one new peso so my 50,000 pesos is now 50 pesos and at 10 pesos or so to the dollar roughly thats like a little over $5. These mexicans who had tens of thousands of pesos are not rich right?

I believe money can be made, maybe 10x initial investment, in the short term I think 3x is more realistic. I don't think an rv will happen and we will overnight become rich though. I do however think once an RV happens that will cause the currency to rise in value which in turn makes you money but it doesn't happen overnight most times.

Think about it, the Euro a few years back was like 1:1. Now it's like 1.40 or soemthing like that. That's a 40% profit, nothing to sneeze at. I think the Iraqi dinar will be more like this. SOme people are calling for like a 4 to 1 revalue that would be over a 4000% profit. I just keep thinking about what your grandparents always tell ya. If it's too good to be true it probably is.

Also, yes iraq is a poor country yes i know they have oil which has $$ potential but even still im sure even a modest family has $1000 equivalent in savings. so at least a million dinar if not more right? all tehse people are instantly going to become millionairs. a country that's poor now is going to be flush with millionaires oveernight? just doesn't happen.

I'm sure many will disagree with me but this is just my thinking. I have no illusions I will bcome a millionaire overnight. I do however think I coudl possibly make maybe 10x my investment over the short to mid term timeframe which I'd be pretty happy with.

I'd prefer to do an in person transaction just meet up at Starbucks or somewhere in the Loop. Save you the Paypal or ebay fees and I know I'm getting dinar lol. Not looking for a lot just a million maybe two if its a good deal.

Hi, I have bought a lot of Dong, while I suppose what is a lot to me may not be a lot to others but I have about 20 million Dong so that's alot of money to me, especially on something that's a very risky, long term and speculative investment in my mind. That said I've shopped with 3-4 of the Dong sellers on the net as well as a few ebay sellers.

Ocassionaly a great deal can be had on ebay, maybe someone bought dong years ago and got sick of sitting on it and is letting it go cheap. Overall though I find ebay prices to be high as ebay is hitting selles with 13% so figure an extra 13% on top of whatever profit the sellers hope to meet.

I was really kicking myself I bought a significant portion of my dong holdings from vietnamdong org at 98 per million which was the cheapest I had found online. Someone on DongTalk another message board more for dong than dinar messeged me adn told me to check out getdong com they usually sell at 80 but occasionally run sales as low as 70 per million. I bought from them, received my order quickly and am happy with my order, only downside is they won't allow you to specify certain notes, personally I like the 200k notes but they wont let you pick. I wound up getting an assortment of everything which is fine, I'll take a mix to save $23 per million.
