  1. I am getting this information from the iraqi-business news website. I would like to know what people think about in regards to the comment below the article. Central Bank Defends Weak Iraqi Dinar Posted on 03 January 2012. Tags: CBI, Central Bank, dinar, IQD, iraqi dinar, re-denomination, re-valuation, Redenomination, revaluation Iraq’s Central Bank says it will not allow the Iraqi dinar to depreciate and has been selling hundreds of millions of dollars to keep the currency stable, according to a report from Azzaman. The dinar weakened in December, prompting the bank to sell dollars in a bid to withdraw cash from Iraqi markets. The bank did not say what caused the dinar to plummet to “lows it had not seen for years”, but officials privately say the plunge might have been due to political uncertainty in the region. Mudher Saleh, Central Bank’s deputy governor, said there were no sound economic reasons for the currency’s weakening, but speculated that it might be the economic difficulties Iraq’s neighbours are facing, particularly Syria and Iran. The bank coffers are said to be brimming with hard cash from oil sales. Saleh said the bank would not let the dinar fall and in one day in December last year it sold $200 million on the open market to squeeze liquidity. “We withdrew in one single day about one quarter of a trillion dinars, thereby brining stability to the currency,” Saleh said. He said Iraqi traders and industrialists have turned into middlemen for these countries, which has led to a substantial growth in demand for hard currency Comments to this article: 1) So while dinar pumpers and scammers claim the dinar will soon RV 100,000 to 300,000 percent overnight… in the real world we see the dinar is struggling to maintain it’s value of 1170 to 1. I’m sure the scammers have some reasoning that explains this as a good thing.
  2. So what does this mean if you have 100,000 dinar?
  3. within 5 years!!!! should we just go on vacation and forget about this for awhile? I thought it was tommorrow, next week, in two weeks, next month or early next year. Clear as mud to me.
  4. Do you think the zeros will be removed 1st, then the dinar will RV? For Example, 25,000 dinars turns into 25 dinar and then RV at $1 (just keeping it easy) making the value at $25.00?
  5. Where do I get some boots?
  6. Do we have a shot at this? It is a broken down country with no amenities. They use US currency and can hardly fend for themselves. Can they really support an RV? A lot of possible can make money from this and I wonder if they have them means? If you say oil is the means, then I wonder why would they even bother. They can just sell oil and scratch their own back. I only ask these questions because there is a lot of stringing along with when and why things get or don't done with the RV. Also, what is INTEL? Thanks.
