  1. My two cents, for what it's worth (probably about .5 cents): I knew this case was on very shaky ground as soon as I heard what the plaintiff's main argument was. More or less from the beginning in the U.S. and for centuries in other countries, the term "The State" has been used as sort of an all encompassing name for the central government of that nation. Hasn't anyone else ever heard of the leader of a nation, U.S. or others, referred to as "Head of State"? You could consider the cabinet position "Secretary of State" in the U.S. as well. The notion that the term "The State" may refer to the central government of the United States is not something new recently invented by the current Supreme Court of the U.S. Having said that, am I a supporter of the ACA, and happy for this decision? No. Do I think this decision is correct because counsel for the plaintiffs pinned their case on an astonishingly weak argument? ABSOLUTELY!!!!
  2. Dive, if you've really listened to what the Tea Party's rhetoric has been, and noticed the chicanery they've been up to the last few years, "Libertarian RINOs" is the perfect term. Here's a hint: I wasn't talking about FDR.
  3. The thing that causes me a great deal of concern is the rhetoric these Libertarian RINOs use: "I will restore our country's greatness" "I will return prosperity to our country" "I will keep the 'foreigners' in check" "I will rebuild our military" "I will return our country to greatness" "Our country will once again hold her head up high and be a proud nation in this world" ETC. Around 1921, a man emerged on his country's political scene using this exact same rhetoric. By 1933, that rhetoric made him the leader of that country. By 1945, he was dead, half the world was in shambles, and MILLIONS were slaughtered. To paraphrase: "Those who don't remember history are doomed to repeat it"
  4. So it was actually a missile that hit the Pentagon? Then what happened to the plane and all of the people on it that are no longer with us?? This fool is a whack job. DOT!!!
  5. One little tiny problem. This Pike letter was supposedly written in 1871. Unfortunately, in 1871 the words "Nazi", and "Nazism" didn't exist. I'm quite sure even the concept of National Socialism was foreign as well. While I don't currently own a dictionary from that time period, the oldest one I do own, printed in 1911 has NO reference to any form of the word "Nazi". This is also true for the terms "Fascist" or "Fascism". Sorry.
  6. Missed it here. Cloudy and snowing. Very disappointing as I very much wanted to see it. Been reading and watching a lot about this the last several months. Some may be aware that this last blood moon occurred on Passover. This is significant because the next three blood moons (one more this year and two more next year) will all occur on a Jewish feast day. Over the last 5000 years, every time four consecutive blood moons occurred on a Jewish feast day, something significant happened regarding Judaism/Israel (i.e. : Babylonian captivity, destruction of the temple, new Jewish state in 1948, 1967 and Yom Kippur wars, etc.). In Genesis, God said the sun, moon, and stars were for "signs". Something major is coming very soon. I personally have my own idea what that something is. If anyone is interested, Gary Stearman did a few shows about this on Prophecy In The News (PITN). They can be found on YouTube.
  7. Granny, I don't have near the time to read every post dinar_stud or AmericaInc have made in the past on this forum. I'm only responding to this one. D_S started this post and I'm quite sure the comments cited by him in reference to Nugnet and their similarities to Nazi rhetoric are true. That's already been pointed out. The points AmericaInc bring up, at least as regarding the Bush family, were published years ago and, to my knowlege, have never been challenged in court. It was your threatening to ban someone for publishing what in all appearances are facts that concerns me.
  8. I recall hearing recently that Nugent was planning a run for a Texas senate seat. That's the reason he recently cut his hair.
  9. Ok everyone. One...Two...Three...Put On You Foil Hats!! The only true response on this thread. THANKS NELG!!!!
  10. Seems to me "our agencies" were doing that on our own soil (metadata, full body scans at airports, etc.) but the Teabilly types raised too much of a ruckus.
  11. +1. Unfortunately, I don't think "the people" of the U.S. are "trying to be right with God".
  12. After watching the videos, and without having done any research but relying on my own knowledge of history, I would have to agree that most of it is true. However, my beliefs also say that ALL of this was preordained by God. So, my question to both 40oz and Sarges "Gals" is, how do you propose to fight the will of God?
  13. Wayfarer, I just wanted to include this. There is a theological solution. It's The Bible. And yes, Jesus Christ has come. ONCE. He is coming again, and although the Second Coming is described as "a thief in the night", He never said "ALL would be asleep". The reference was to pay attention to prophecy. The Second Coming has not happened yet. The whole world will know when that happens. If you think the world is bad now, "you ain't seen nothin' yet".
