  1. I agree with the study out of MIT pertaining to supply and demand. There is no demand for IQD. The currency isn't traded internationally, as we are aware of. It wasn't traded on the open market under Saddam's rule, either. USD is the holy grail in Iraq, as I suspect. DC shipped too many pallets of our paper. Thanks Bush and Chaney! We know that the wealth of Halliburton was on your minds. Transferring stock to other family members isn't hard when you have a few good lawyers. Iraq could have a viable economy with oil production and trade if they had a stable government that REALLY wanted the best for their people. Unfortunately, I believe that Maliki is the new dictator of Iraq. He reminds me of Saddam. The problem with Iraq is that they have many religious factions that have been at odds for hundreds of years. I think that the crazy Muslims of Iraq, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan and others enjoy war, conflict and poverty. That's their nature. A male dominated Muslim society will always be in conflict, as history reflects. That's my take on this investment.
  2. At the end end of the day we really don't know what is going on in Iraq. The country isn't stable. Iran and Syria are most likely Iraq's friends. Just sayin. I wouldn't trust those countries, ever.
  3. Be careful in your march in DC. You guys and gals need to show a quiet presence. DC is on high alert. You might want to reconsider.
  4. I don't know why a member gave you a - for your post. That's ridiculous. I just turned 50. My mother and my father are taking more meds than I can fathom. My Mother's kitchen looks like a pharmacy. She is 68. They take medication to control BP, cholesterol and heart conditions. I'm not a fan of taking medication. The FDA approves medication too often that has terrible side effects that we learn about years later. Doctors pump meds that are not needed if the patient lived a healthy life style. My point is to be healthy. Be well members.
  5. Eat healthy, it's rather simple. I'm mostly vegetarian these days. I don't eat fast food or pre packaged crap from the grocery store. Hopefully, my diet and exercise will extend my life. I'm not headed to the the grave any time soon.
  6. Freedom of speech in Iraq is non existent. The Iraqi's choose to kill one another rather than find a solution to their sectarian war. I'm baffled by the idiots in the sand pit, Iran and Syria included.
  7. I don't think this topic is a laughing matter. Iraq is clearly denying media from reporting information. Looks like we have another Dictator in charge. Maliki should be on the hit list.
  8. Thanks for bringing the link over. I watched the report this morning whilst browsing news. This is censorship at it's finest.
  9. We can read the perspective of unknowing others all day long. The fact of the matter is that the GOI is corrupt as hell. Similar to the Saddam regime in a less violent way. The CBI is ultimately controlled by the GOI, in my opinion. The problem is that Iraq trades with USD. I guess we shipped too many pallets of our paper. Thanks George and ****! Iraq appears to function using USD. Why would they want to transition to their own worthless currency? Iraq has had plenty of time to do that in an effort to save face in ME. Using the currency of the infidels is not flattering to Iraq. We will have to wait and to see how this story plays out.
  10. Iraq reminds me of Peyton Place. The boys in the sand pit are ineffective leaders, similar to what we have going on in D.C.
  11. Thanks for the post TG. You know how I feel about handguns and the right to carry. I will call and email our friends in Austin. Pressure is good.
  12. Awesome post, Bump. It's a shame that our aquatic species suffer due to human stupidity. It happens all the time. I worry about the Manatees in Florida, often. We have to do better in protecting our creatures. I watch a lot of nature programs. I have learned that the Japanese are the worst violators of our aquatic population.
  13. Most of the seasoned veterans on this site understand that the rate posted on the CBI site is gospel, as Fly and others noted.
  14. Money laundering is most probable in Iraq. The boys in Iraq are in bed with other countries. I won't mention them, as most seasoned members will know the countries.
  15. Stabbing a humane is not my cup of tea. A few well placed bullets would be less messy and effortless.
  16. Hire an attorney on contingency that is willing to take your case to the trial court in your jurisdiction. I don't think that you have much of a case. Frivolous auto accidents are just that, frivolous. You might get a judgement. At the end of the day your lawyer will take her cut.
  17. I have tried to be a trusting in a humane way with others. Dallas and the suburbs are not as safe as some would like to believe. I gave up riding the DART train to Down Town Dallas. The people on the train and those that hang out around the platforms are questionable, at best. I know I need to do a better job at watching my back with preparation in the event I need it. I have become too lax in my safety.
  18. What is a CHL? I'm new to the exploration of a permit and carrying a concealed weapon. I will tell you that I'm a victim of a horrible aggravated robbery. My son is also a victim of the same crime while walking home from school in Plano, Texas. The kids that robbed my son where prosecuted and went to kid jail in Collin County. We know how it feels to have a gun pointed in our faces thinking that we will shot by the perpetrators. I seriously doubt that either one of us will ever have the terrible experience again. In the interim, I'm considering a concealed hand gun permit for my personal safety.
  19. I am seriously considering obtaining a concealed permit in my state with training of the use of my device. I think all American's should have the option once they pass an extensive background check. I will never give up my right to carry a firearm, if I choose.
  20. Personally, I believe that the Iraqi's are corrupt as hell. Their culture is indignant of that as are others in the ME. We really don't know what's going on in Iraq, at the end of the day. We can't change that. In the interim, I'm going to work hard at my craft without any expectations from this investment.
