Foreign Ministry denies receiving request from Interpol to arrest Sudan’s President if he participates in the Summit

Baghdad (NINA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied receiving request from the Interpol to arrest Sudan’s President, Omer al-Basheer, if he participates in the Arab Summit.
In a statement to the press on Wednesday, Mar. 14, the Foreign Ministry said, “A media outlet published on Tuesday a fabricated report claiming a Ministry source saying that the Interpol requested the Ministry to arrest Sudan’s President, Omer al-Basheer, if he participates in the Arab Summit.”
The statement affirmed, “This report is untrue and there is no request from the Interpol, the safety of President al-Basheer is guaranteed, as all of Iraq’s quests to the Summit.” / End.

Asked whether the talks have addressed the issue of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port Zebari said he had been addressed during the talks to all issues, including the issue of freedom of navigation in the Khor Abdullah.
