  1. UN has not set a meeting to even discuss Ch 7 until June, 2012 (I've searched high and low, trust me), HCL is not completed, and the budget is not even in the Gazette yet. Did I miss something here?
  2. Unfortunately, they don't "need" to do anything. They pay their bills and are working to improve their economy. People get so caught up in the things Iraq needs to do, but we truly don't have a clue what it takes to run a developing country. We know what we want, but please don't think for a second that Iraq needs to do anything...they can keep their currency the way it is for awhile if they want to. Inflation may be increasing, but its a much lower rate than it was 8-10 years ago and they're very proud of that. Their monetary policy is managed by some of the most intelligent people on the planet...we don't have the slightest idea what they need, aside from putting our own desire first.
  3. With all due respect, yes, I have seen this much going on before. Been in it too long to remember and its not hard to go back through the various sites and see this exact same excitement occurring 6-7 years agao: see the articles out about Ch7 being lifted; and the 3 zeros articles have been out for some time too. Everyone gets all excited over the same articles that I've seen for so long, I just chuckle when I view them now. The realit of the matter is, until it actually happens, its all a guessing game. Heck even the budget hasn't been officially approved yet (not official until its in the Gazette folks) and look at all the articles about that. I'm not negative Nelly here...but reality is my middle name. I'm sure still hoping for the best but you need to put your family first, and I'd do the same if I were in your shoes. Follow the news, but as someone else stated...wed be lucky if 30% of it were true. I get the articles translated first hand and a lot of times one or two words (such as "soon " "in the coming days" etc) are interpreted wrong by our wonderful internet translations and we get the wrong idea. So again, good luck to you...watch their actions and don't rely heavily on what they say.
  4. I agree that this is good news, however, I don't think the urgency is there for any other reason than they want to be sure everything is in place for the June UN meeting. Come on, a 20+ year sanction could possibly be removed within the next 3 months? That's why they're making all of these final touch-ups. June is not that far away and this is a major event (if it is indeed lifted) for Iraqs history, IMO June is the soonest they wil have a UN vote on it. No other articles or news have shown otherwise. The meetings with Maliki and Kuwait, and now this article, clearly show they want it voted on but they need all their ducks in a row.
  5. That's the secret question! Theyve said "in the coming days the rate will change" for MONTHS now. Its a great article but I'm staying grounded because I've heard this before. "In the coming days" could mean another 4 pip drop in a few months for all we know!
  6. Being positive is all we can do my friend...until this all comes to an end our lives must go on. I chose to enjoy life and not rely so heavily on the outcome of this investment. I saw a sign on a church the other day that read "ever see a hearse carrying a U-haul? Stuff doesn't go with us...". RV or no RV, there are so many more valuable things in life.
  7. Unfortunately we have to be prepared for that. There is a 50/50 chance of this working out in our favor and noone can prove otherwise unless its pure speculation alone. Adam, Kap, and a few other people with a good grasp on this situation even admit to the possibility of it going either way. Obviously we cheer for the RV but we must prepare for either scenerio. No arguments from me on the lop front. I don't go there and never will. I research and come to my own conclusions...I was just simply passing on some first hand info.
  8. I see your point but there is no way they will RV without the lower denoms. The percentage of people in that country that have electricity, let alone cell phones, is tremendously low. We couldn't even rely on cell phone technology here in the US, we need a cash system and Iraq needs it even more. I think its sometimes forgottwn how technilogically behind that country is. They have to make decisions based on everyone in the country, not just for the people who live in cities, have electricity, and possibly a cell phone. In reality (I've witnessed it myself, so I'm basing my statements on first-hand experiences) they are nowhere near ready for an electronic banking system alone. Electronic plus cash, yes, that's a possibilty. But lower notes are needed to increase the rate.
  9. I have to come out and say that I do have sources in Iraq that I use for my own translations and help with my own research. This article has been out before (perhaps not on this particular site) and I've been told (many times in the past few years but even moreso often recently) that these articles do indeed talk of an RD. The plan is being described in the country as an RD, then eventually an RV after the 0 notes are all taken in. RV being on the new currency only. That being said, I'm also told the new over there is always confusing, but I get a real translation, not through internet translators. I'd like to believe its all misinformation purposely gievn out, but the current reality of it is that these articles arnt meant to be read into. taken at face value (which is what the Iraqis do) , they talk of a 25000 old note being equal to a new 25 note. Again, this coming straight out of Iraq. I never share this info because I work hard at gathering my own info and don't want to use my sources as "intel" for those that are just looking for easy news. In any case, its the same confusing news articles as always that can be interpreted by us (and the internet) in many ways!
  10. Yes, unfortunately for them 9.00 is a lot of money right now. It sound unimaginable to us but we are talking about a whole other world. For those who have ever been in Iraq, 9.00 is truly a lot for them....its very sad.
  11. No matter what is "pushed for" or suggested at the Summit, the UN members have to be the ones to vote Iraq out of Ch 7, not Moon himself. What could happen though is that he take the suggestions back to the UN and they can add it to an earlier meeting than June for a vote.
  12. Very well put, and again, she left in a hissy because she was challenged. We all have our opinions of this investment but she did indeed leave in a very immature way.
  13. "Going ballistic" is an understatement. If people want to hear from BL they should visit her site themselves and see how she is. She does chats daily but they truly consist mostly of "I've been telling you all along; I'm always right; see I told you so; didn't I tell you guys...yadda yadda." Try it out, go chat with her and politely challenge her position on an article. She will rip you a new one and then her followers will applaud her and praise her neverending obedience to the dinar world. Oh, btw her chat forum regularly visits this site because they often bash the members here, calling them pumpers, and bash Adam for making hundreds of thousands from members in the VIP section. Its true...go see for yourself.
  14. Which is precisely why we can't expect any major announcements at the Summit. These leaders are coming to work out problems in their own nations, not every major meeting of the minds has to do with an RV. JMO but this is a typical Summit, as every year, its not focused on Iraq....there are other major problems in the Arab world. We just tend to not pay attention to them.
  15. Honestly she's been quite rude and disrespectful on her forum lately that I've stopped going there. She yells at people and kicks them off her chatroom if they so much as question her opion, let alone challenge it. Its turned into an "I worship BL" site and "our site is the best" rather than the informative site it used to be. I also agree with the poster that said she's jumped on the "it rv'd train. " When the auctions went super low she was convinced it was going to rv that weekend and that they were issuing the lower denoms. I personally stated my opinion on her forum (in respectful manner as always) that I felt the auctions decreased because the CBI had to control the money going into Iran. She blew me up and said all crazy stuff about me not valuing her research and that she never been wrong blah blah. Well needless to say she was very wrong and I was correct. But shed never admit that. Sorry this was so long, I just feel its rude to not allow people to disagree with you on your own site. I bow down to one God and it certainly is not a dinar guru.
  16. I know its not popular to hear, but I still am under the assumption that Ch. 7e will not be considered for lifting until the next big UN reviw of it in June, where the full UN can have an official vote on it. I think the UN representaqtion at the Summit will praise Iraq for their continued efforts but I just think there are too many things that wil not be done by the end of March for the UN to lift a 20+ year old sanction. Its just my opinion of course but I am a realist that uses both the news and my own sources in country and politics to base my opinion. I dont think we possibly can image the extent of the things that need done to remove Ch 7, but we do kjnow that Iraq is working at it (at their own pace of course) and this, I feel, is what will be acknowledged at the Summit.
  17. Good news, but until it's in the Gazette it's still not official. IMO the new rate is not in the budget....but the spending and projects that will come from the budget being implemented will cause inflation and the need to raise the rate. The budget could be implemented well before CH. 7, HCL, Ministers< etc. are officially done but it will progress this proces even further. So don't lose hope when/if the budget does not have any rate changes....because it is still leading us down the right road!
  18. They have to keep their people safe these days, they probably wont annouce dates, and if they do they will not be accurate. This will prevent bombings and hopefully attempts at destroying progress.
  19. They do stuff like this a lot, it keeps people interested and invested, obviously making more money for them. Its a business tactic at its finest.
  20. The majority of the articles have stated that they will release the new denoms in Sept. They can't RV without the new lower denoms so I think the assumption is they go hand-in-hand. JMO
  21. Didn't he also say "in the coming days" in a statement about these changes like 2 months ago? Those "coming days" seem to be about as clear as "soon"!!
  22. Youre exactly right, that's why I don't listen to him. But if others do that's totally ok too! :-)
  23. Need i remind everyone that Brietling very openly called Adam a *********** in one of his broadcasts. I don't care if it was Adam or anyone that he called that name too, it shows immaturity and unprofessionalism. He does work for "a" dinar dealer, that was revealed a long time ago. IN any case, I don't care what he does but I have no respect for him due to his rude comments toward others who disagree with him. To each his own though!
  24. Althought it sounds very nice, MAliki has freely used this word for the past several months. His defination of Sovereign is not exactly the UN's definition. Even Hilary used this word last summer ....
  25. Could you clarify the importance (as you briefly touched on it last week) of NOT reading into the auctions too much? It appears people are going nuts regarding the new regulations that have caused the auctions to go very low and slowly build back up again and how it "has" to mean an RV. To me it is very clear that they are protecting their money from Iran because that is of the utmost importance in their country right now. To many people in this investment, they go crazy watching the auctions like a hawk, when IMO the laws are way more important to watch as they are read and passed than the auctions. Your opinion?
